Power Heart: The search for family

Part One

Duo woke up late. He looked over at the other bed WuFei was
already awake. Duo jumped out of bed in his boxer shorts. He
wondered how the boxer shorts got put on he was sure that he
didn't have them on when he fell asleep. A snort caused Duo
to look up into the velvet eyes that swept him off his feet
each time.

Duo smiled and said, "Good morning, Fei-chan."

WuFei nodded his greeting.

WuFei said, "We are all going to be late. Quatre woke up
early and left for school. Zechs hasn't moved off his bed."

Duo chuckled and said, "That is right we are enrolled at a
new school. What is your first class, Fei-chan?"

WuFei smiled and answered, "Sex Education."

Duo smiled and said, "Easy class for you since we have
enough home experience."

WuFei laughed and asked, "What is yours Duo-kun?"

Duo cringed and said, "Home Ec. Do we even know what the
others have?"

WuFei smiled and said, "Quatre and Heero has Sex Education
to start off with. Zechs has Gym to start. Trowa is with
you. Get dressed."

They heard Zechs yell.

"QUA~~~TRE!!!" Zechs opens the door to Duo and WuFei's room
frantically looking for Quatre.

WuFei smiles and chuckled.

Duo said, "Fei-chan said that he is at school already."

Zechs sighed and said, "I was just worried about him. He
wasn't in his bed when I woke up. Guess I had better get off
to school."

Duo and WuFei fell on the bed in a fit of laughter.

Duo gasped out between chuckles, "Zechs you might want to
get dressed first."

Zechs stiffened and said, "What does that mean?"

Duo walked up and touched Zechs' ass.

WuFei said, "Are you missing something, Zechs?"

Zechs turned red and runs to his room leaving WuFei and Duo
to fall into another fit of laughter.

Trowa and Heero runs to Duo and WuFei's room.

Trowa said softly, "Are you ready for school?"

Duo and WuFei nodded.

Zechs walks up behind the other two and nods.


They leave.

Quatre looks around his locker and sighs. Quatre looks at
the door of the hallway he just entered.

He said to himself, "Maybe I should have waited for Zechs. He
must know that we share a locker." Quatre sighs again he misses
Zechs. Quatre heard footsteps walking his way. Quatre turns around
and rushes into the arms of the body.

Quatre said, "Zechs, what took you so long?"

The body went stiff a low chuckling was heard behind the body.

The chuckling voice said, "Kaiza, who is your friend?"

Quatre looked up and saw a boy he didn't know.

Quatre blushed and said, "I am so sorry I mistook you for my
best friend."

Kaiza smiled and said, "It is okay."

The voice still was chuckling.

Kaiza looked around himself and said, "Kash. Leave him alone."

Quatre looked behind Kaiza and saw a young man with glorious
red hair and golden eyes.

Kaiza and Quatre didn't realize they were still holding each
other.

Duo was leading the way to the lockers.

Duo stopped suddenly and gasped.

WuFei looked concerned when he collided with Duo's back.

Duo jumped up and looked down the hall. Quatre in the arms of
another. Duo looked back to see Zechs and Trowa not too far off.

Duo jumped and ran to Zechs and said, "Maybe you should go to
class, Zechs."

WuFei looked at what had to be the most confusing situation of
Quatre in the arms of someone other than Zechs.

WuFei turned to Duo and nodded.


Zechs merely chuckled and said, "Not until I go see Quatre."

Duo paled and looked to WuFei for answers.

WuFei just shook his head and said, "Let him go, Duo."

Zechs walked into the hallway and stopped. He brought a shaky
hand up to his heart and turned. He tried to catch his breath
when he looked into four sets of eyes he ran away tears in his
eyes.

Trowa said, "What is wrong with Zechs?"

Duo looked at him and said, "Quatre."

Heero spoke up and said, "So?"

Duo doubled up his fist and punched Heero in the gut.

Duo took off for his class.

WuFei said, "You deserved that, Yuy. How would you react if
you saw Trowa in the arms of another young man?"

Trowa looked pale and said, "You mean Quatre... another
person....not Quatre...he wouldn't.."

Heero said, "He is in that hall."

WuFei nodded and turned to go after Duo.

Heero went in the hall and was graced with the sight WuFei
told him about.

Heero went up to his locker.

Trowa walked in and saw that sight.

He walked over to Heero and said loudly, "Don't let what Duo
done get you to mad. I will talk to him. He and I are in the
same class. I just hope Zechs is alright."

Quatre hearing this jumped back and said, "I am sorry. My
friends are here."

Quatre turned and went over to Trowa and Heero.

Quatre said, "Hello guys. Where are the others? What is wrong
with Zechs?"

Trowa grabbed his book bag and tried to storm off.

Heero grabbed his wrist and pulled him back to him.

Heero said, "I will walk you to class." Heero glared at Quatre
and said, "I will deal with you in class."

Quatre sighed and slumped against Duo's locker.

Duo looked at the door not wanting to enter without his books.

WuFei said, "Duo."


Duo looked up and smiled.

WuFei smiled back at his boyfriend.

WuFei grabbed Duo in a hug and said, "Don't you ever cry. Heero
deserved it. Here are your books you left them in my bag."

Duo chuckled and took his book. Duo leaned in and kissed
WuFei his thanks.

WuFei nodded and pointed at the classroom door.

They saw Trowa and Heero walking towards them.

Duo's shoulders slumped when he saw Heero.

WuFei squeezed Duo's hands and mouthed the
words "I love you."

Duo beamed and ran up to Trowa.

Trowa looked at Duo and smiled.

Trowa said, "Let us not be late for class, Duo."

Duo nodded.

WuFei sighed and smiled.

Heero looked at WuFei and said, "Let us get to our class."

WuFei shook his head and said, "You go on, Yuy. I will be
there as soon as I check on Zechs. He was crying as he left
the locker area. I might even bring him to our class so we
can all talk to Quatre."

Heero nodded and headed to class.

WuFei found Zechs at his locker crying.

Zechs heard the footsteps and flinched.

WuFei touched Zechs' shoulder. Zechs jumped and turned around.

Zechs started to let the tears flow again and said, "Whh--Why
d-d-d-d-di-did this hap-hap-happen? I-I-I d-d-didn't me-mean
t-t-t-t-to b-b-b-be la-la-late. I-I th-tho-thought he lo-loved
me."

WuFei sighed and offered a hug.

Zechs let it all out and said, "I am late for class."

WuFei chuckled and said, "so am I. Why not join me and Heero
in a little talk with Quatre? I will give your teacher a good
excuse."

Zechs chuckled and nodded.

Trowa looked up from his work station when the teacher walked
in. Duo stopped what he was making.

The teacher said, "This is our new transfer student. Please
introduce yourself."


The boy looked up and said, "Hello. My name is Isato Kaiza."

Duo growled and said, "He is the boy who hurt Zechs."

Trowa nodded.

The teacher added to their anger and said, "Kaiza, you will
be working with Barton and Maxwell. One of you raise your hand
to show him where you two are."

Trowa raised his hand.

Kaiza walked over to them and sat down.

The teacher was going over the cooking lesson that they were
going to do.

Kaiza said, "Hey Barton, you a friend of Quatre's. He dropped
this when you walked away. Give it back to him for me."

Duo stepped up and growled, "Just shut up. We don't even like
you."

Kaiza shoved Duo against the table and said, "Was I speaking to
you?"

Duo yelped and the teacher said, "KAIZA! Leave Maxwell alone."

Trowa looked up at Duo and saw the blood dripping from his mouth.

Trowa raised his hand and said, "Teacher, Maxwell is bleeding can
we be excused to go to the nurse's office."

The teacher nodded.

Trowa took the item from Kaiza with a glare. He grabbed Duo's
hand and said, "Let us go find Heero and WuFei and give this back
to Quatre."

Duo nodded and left with Trowa.

Zechs and WuFei walked into the class.

WuFei found Heero who was talking with Quatre.

WuFei saw a look in Quatre's eyes that had been long missed.
He saw it once before when Zechs turned against Trieze[1]. Trieze
then proceeded to rape the young man. Trieze slapped Zechs. Zechs
was destroyed by that bastard and Quatre told them all that if
anybody made Zechs cry they would have to answer to him.

WuFei chuckled a little at that thought.

Quatre seen Zechs and ran to him. Quatre embraced him in a fierce
hug. Zechs started to cry again.

Quatre looked up and said, "What is wrong, Zechs?"

Zechs, still trying to hold himself together, shook his head.

Quatre said a little bit harsh, "Answer me, love?"

Zechs jumped at those words being spoken like that. Zechs turned
on his heel to go.

Quatre grabbed his hand and pulled him.

Zechs started to whimper, "Please... don't....."

Quatre let go and held on to Zechs with just a hug.

Zechs screamed, "NO! STOP IT TRIEZE!"

Quatre fully let go.

Zechs looked up and saw the others. He let out a forlorn sob.

WuFei walked up and said, "Lets go and sit down."

Quatre walked to his seat and said, "OK. Why is everyone mad
at me? Please tell me the truth."

WuFei start to tell Quatre that they all saw him in the arms of
another.
Zechs was crying by the time WuFei finished and stammered
out, "Wh-Wh-What d-d-did I-I-I-I d-d-d-do? Do-Don't y-y-y-you
s-s-s-still lo-lo-love m-m-m-me."

Quatre took Zechs' hand and said, "I'm so sorry. I thought he
was you. You did nothing wrong. I still love you. Heero, can you
change Zechs' class so that he and I together."

Heero nodded.

The teacher entered the classroom and said, "Class, we have a new
student today. He just transferred here. Please introduce yourself."

The boy looked up and smirked, "My name is Kash Mizutani."

The teacher said, "Please sit down next to WuFei any questions just
ask him."

The teacher started the class. He didn't notice Zechs at all.

There came a knock at the door.

The teacher answered the door.

WuFei looked up to see Trowa carrying his lover. He got Heero's
attention and whispered it to him.

The teacher turned around and said, "Mr. Chang and Mr. Yuy there
are two students here for you."

The two addressed stood and walked to the door.

Trowa looked dazed and said, "A new student did this to
him with one push."

WuFei growled.

Heero said, "Lets take him to Sally's."

Trowa nodded.

WuFei stepped back into the classroom and said, "May Heero,
Quatre, and myself be excused."

The teacher nodded and said, "Mr. Winner grab your books and
go. I hope your friend is alright."

Quatre looked away from Zechs and nodded.

Quatre rose and extended his hand for Zechs.

Zechs grabbed the hand and walked out with Quatre to join
WuFei.

They walked out.

Trowa looked like he was going to drop Duo and attack Quatre.

WuFei and Heero shook their heads.

WuFei held his arms out for Duo.

Trowa passed Duo to WuFei and grabbed Heero's hand.

The three couples walked away to get Duo to Sally's as fast
as they can.
