The After Story (Its Over Finshed)

Chapter 2

Duo was waiting outside the door on the pools blue and purple titled service that went around the large clear blue pool with a diving bored on the left end the deep end was at lest 15 feet shallow end went to three feet. There was a hot tub big enough for all six boys to sit in with big green leaf plants growing around the back in a long smooth wooden plant holder. They had to get to the hot tub by walking up two wooden steps as the hot tub was raised up a bit and surrounded by light brown wood.

There was white plastic pool chairs set around the pool with blue and purple cushions to sit on. Also set against the house to the left of the sliding door was a nice brick grill, also a picnic bench was set out on the grass a few feet away from the grill. There was no fence that went around the pool area though it was just opened and you could see down the half mile of green lawn to the two acres of trees. Around the outer edges of the blue and purple titled floor was set up four big pots of blue and red geraniums. There was two pots on the right hand side of the pool area and two on the left side.

Then there was the same white and black stoned path that leads a whole half mile to the horse barn. The half a mile to the trees was like a big flower garden. With white lilies standing next to the beginning of the path like a little gate way there was five on each side. Then there was a long row of purple, pink, blue, purple and white striped petunias running along the left side of the half mile path. Then on the right side was pansies with orange tipped peddles on the outside and on the inside it was splashed with brown. There was dark blue pansies, white pansies with purple tips on the outside of the peddle. There was a white pansies with blue like pen strokes running up the flower on the tips there was the same color of blue.

“Lovely day isn’t?” Quatre chuckled looking up at the nice bright blue sky he always loved the hazy high mountains off in the distances with there green trees seeming to blanket the mountain side tell it got higher where the mountains were snow capped.

Duo nodded, “That it is I love this place been here four years and my love for it is still the same. Come on Quatre” Duo said as he put his arm around him they walked around the pool and stepped on to the path Duo looked from side to side at the flowers seeing if there was any weeds needing pulled out on the way. There was a four snow ball bushes on either side of the path a few feet away and were in full bloom and smelled really good there was lilac bushes planted between them two on each side the lilac bushes were in the center of the Snowball bush to give the center a nice purple look. As they walked by the bushes back into the warmer morning sun they could see to there far left Pink, Orange, Purple and blue Snap Dragons growing in a circle in the middle of the yard. Then in a row of five closer to the left side of the path was some white daffodils with pink inside. On the right side of the path in the center of the half mile was a lot of Pea knees all bushed together. In front of the pea knees was a nice slick wooden glider looking toward the forest.

Then on toward the forest was knee high snake grass with different kinds of wild flowers growing like Red Mountain Heather, White Trappers Tea, White Western Trillium, Pink Spreading Dogbane, Crimson Bracted Lousewort, Yellow Glacier lily and Purple Silky Phacelia. These were many of the pretty faces of flowers that could be seen basking up at the sun in the snake grass. Duo liked keeping the yard pretty natural so any animal could live on there land if they wished.

In the forest they always had mule deer it seemed save for the deer there from the mountain lions and bears also wolves. They also had a family of foxes that lived in the forest along with rabbits which attracted the foxes, mice, lemmings raccoons, possums skunks squirrels and chipmunks that was the mammals that lived in the woods. There was the long mountain stream that ran north to south through the forest which has small minnows in it normally and bull frogs, at the moment the boys were coming from the west walking east. Also many tree frogs that seemed to love to fill the night always with there mating song. When the tree frogs rest the black crickets ever play its mating song through the warm spring and summer months it will last tell the first snow fall.

Of course they had many different types of birds from Blue Jays to Robins to the Red Hooded woodpecker. Blue birds, cardinals, scissor tailed flycatchers. Chickadees, Great Crested flycatcher. These were the many forging and insectivore type birds that roosted in the trees. There beautiful songs could be heard from the trees of course it would sound pretty nosey as the two young men approached the forest. That had a line of butterfly bushes with colors of solid purple and a few orange ones that sort of seemed to blended into a dark pink. These also attract the broad billed humming bird and Anna’s humming bird. What sorts of butterflies the bushes normally attracted were all kinds but around there they normally would see Black swallowtail, White Pieris Manginalis, Blue Summer Azure and the Monarch butterfly. At the moment the White Pieris Manginalis are darting back and forth between the pretty colored flowers sticking there proboscis into the flowers and drank out the nectar of course there could always be the familiar sound of honey bee’s hum as they too were busy at work collecting pollen to take back to there hive. Along with the more base like sound of the bumble bee as he buzzes to and fro from flower to flower.

The boys seemed to walk in silences toward the opening of the forest as they were both enjoyed the warm first day of summer in the valley of the Montana Mountains. This place was like there little paradise safe and tucked away from all the world here it seemed. The shade of the trees canopy soon covered the boys as they entered into the forest. Duo and Quatre could smell the sweet smell of the flowers along with the moist dirt and grass of the undertow as some of last nights due managed to slip through the leaves and dampen the forest floor.

There was a Hawk Sparrow sitting on the top most twig of one of the high trees where some of the leaves had been taken off of the little bird of prey was looking out for mice. Also in the forest lived a Great Horned Owl of course he was sleeping at the moment. Also the Red Tailed Hawk lived on this property but they lived more past this first mile of land in the actual mile of forest that Duo and Heero own. They lived in a high old dead Pine Tree. The forest that blocked the view of the horse field was mainly high old Aspen trees Also there was Larch Trees mixed into this forest. The soil could hold many different types of trees there was some maple trees and some Cedar trees in this forest as well as a few rare chestnut trees in these days that had been there for years and years.

Duo and Quatre could hear the sound of cool trickling water as they walked across the two acres of forest. They came to the clear running stream and Duo hoped over it first it wasn’t to much of a jump but they did place stepping stones in the water if one wished to use them. He landed on his right foot with his left in the air and he walked on some more then turned around to watch Quatre who was stepping on the stones, Quatre was very sure footed and made it across the stream with not to much time to spare. The two young men then walked on together through the pretty forest full of life from sound to smell to the feel of moister in the air.

“I bet the horses are pretty anxious to see us,” Quatre spoke up finally as they exited the small forest. As they did so they could feel the heat of the morning rising and the sun warmed there skin even more.


“Yeah they will probably be a tad grumpy,” Duo sighed as he could see the horse’s brown fence now off in the distance. “They are hungry thirsty and want to starch there legs I know they are going to be a bit moody and most defiantly mama in there with baby she is probably pretty hungry.” Duo said trying to pick up the base but it was still half a mile no matter what.

“Well yeah duh” Duo chuckled and walked on through the warm summer morning a few chickadees flew past them toward the forest then a few robins where hoping about looking for warms in the half mile of green grass lands between the acre of forest and the horse barn. The boys had to walk over a hill and once they did this the barn the field and fence came more into view there was also a nice duck pond that was about ten acres away from the fence it had a flock of white ducks that stayed there the majority of the year and were quaking and paddling around in the pond right now looking for minnows to eat which Duo had filled the pond with fish to attract the ducks also so they could go fishing if they wished.
