Utter Pain

Hughes slipped the pryer deep into Roy\'s mouth; the thing had two long appendages; one touched the top of Roy\'s mouth, the second one touched the bottom pinning the tongue in place, but had an opening that reviled the organ, which Hughes grazed with his index finger as he found the tiny trigger.

Roy\'s eyes were wide with fear. Maes grinned and began pushing the trigger down making the pryer open Roy\'s mouth more than it was capable of.

Roy gave out a sharp cry as he felt his jaw lock out of place.

"Did that hurt?" Hughes mocked giving one last push on the already locked trigger. Roy instantly cried again. "Good." he grined.

Hughes looked at his friend before pulling up the syringe and tapping it to get rid of air bubbles.

Roy gave begging eyes to his once best friend and let another tear fall.

Without a word, Hughes moved the needle to Roy\'s exposed tongue and very slowly injected it into the center of the organ.

Roy cried and tried with all his might to pull away from the pain, but due to the way he was posed, he was unable to; with his hands chained right below his back sitting on his knees, the only thing keeping them pinned, his own body weight.

The liquid entered the organ bit by bit as Hughes was sure to make the process slow and very much painful for his young \'friend\'.

Once the needle was empty Maes pulled it away and walked back over to the table.

Roy\'s head lolled forward pulling his bangs in his face.

"Red has never been my color..." Hughes began getting Roy to slowly look up at him with his full fearful attention. "But I\'m glad my wife picked it out for our \'summer home\'...it will cover up all the blood I\'m about to spill." he smiled over at Roy almost in a twisted way.

Roy sobbed and let his head fall forward once more.

Hughes walked back over to his friend and pulled his head up to look at him by his hair. "Don\'t tell me I have already broken the wild Mustang." pulling his face closer to Roy\'s he, whispered, "Because I haven’t even started yet."

Roy could do nothing but look at his former friend with sorrowful eyes. If anyone else was doing this to him, if it wasn\'t his best friend, Roy would have fought. He would die before giving in, but it wasn\'t....there in front of him was the one man he trusted with his life...and had betrayed-he would have to be a fool to believe Hughes would forgive him, and let him live; as nice as the man was, when it came to his family, the man snapped. And no one knew this, but Roy. At least he did now.

Hughes grazed Roy\'s tongue and lifted the trigger unlocking it. Roy felt his mouth loosen and took a surprised breath at the feeling.

With ease, Maes slipped the pryer out of Roy\'s mouth. Once it was removed his mouth instantly shut, but painfully.

Roy watched Maes as he walked back over to the table and began rummaging though the stuff on it.

"P-please..." Roy tried to talk but found it harder then he thought. Taking a few deep breathes he tried again. "What...did you...do to me?"

"You may want to save your breath Mustang." Hughes began in a carefree voice ignoring the question. "You’re going to need it."

Roy shivered at the way his friend used his last name, it was something new and frightening.

Hughes headed back over to the flame alchemist holding a small knife; bending down once again to look Roy in the eye.

"Just kill me....please...." Roy sobbed avoiding eye contact with his head down. "I don\'t deserve to live after what I\'ve done....please..."

Hughes chuckled and gently lifted Roy\'s chin to look at him. "Actually, you don\'t deserve to die.....that would be too easy and fast for you....besides," he went on brushing his thumb over Roy\'s cheek, "I have a lot of tests I\'ve never been able to use. There way to inhuman for me; I never had the motivation to use them.....but now I do." he grinned evilly.

Roy shook in his friends palm and tired to pull away desperately. Yes he would admit what he did was wrong and didn\'t deserve forgiveness, but the way Hughes implied torcher, stuck fear into him.

Hughes gripped his chin harder and pulled his face closer to him lifting the blade to Roy\'s lips.

"Let’s see that pretty mouth of yours again." Maes spoke in a mocking tone.

Roy tried to pull away but Hughes tightened his grip more and pulled harshly making Roy stop all movement as the blade cut his bottom lip.

"Remember...this can be easy or hard." he glared.

"W-wait..." Roy shuttered. Drops of blood entering his mouth from the small cut. Maes looked at Roy with a slight crooked grin.

Roy noticed Hughes stop for a brief moment and took that pause to speak. “There has to be another way,” Roy chocked, “please Maes, don’t do this…” Roy began to sob hard making his body shake.

“I hate to see a grown man beg.” Hughes said in a half sigh. Roy still cried and suddenly gasped when Maes shoved the knife into his mouth.

Roy’s eyes went wide as he felt the knife nudge the back of his throat and Hughes tilting his head up to look at the ceiling. His wide eyes started to beg as his gage reflex was trying to activate and Hughes forcing it back, the whole time blood pouring from his mouth.

Hughes could read the look clearly in Roy’s eyes. “You know what I’m trying to do…so if you know what’s good for you,” Hughes suddenly kneed Roy in the stomach making him gasp opening his mouth wider; he would have fallen forward if Hughes wasn’t keeping his body up. “You’ll stop fighting.” Maes finished as the small knife, at last, slid down Roy’s throat.

Roy coughed up a pool of blood. His eyes still wide in both pain and utter shock. ‘Did…did he just make me swallow a knife?!’ Roy felt frozen in fear…who knew what damage that blade would do to his insides! Roy thought he could fell the knife cutting into his stomach with each move he made as he leaned forward.

“Good boy.” Hughes commented standing up with a big grin on his face.

Roy began to shutter worse then before as he watched Hughes head back over to the table. There was no telling what Maes might do at this point.

Mustang swallowed hard and quickly regretted it as blood choked him as it pushed out of his mouth. It was then, that Roy knew his throat was cut deep, but not so much it would kill him, but it didn’t stop him from wishing it would.

Hughes slowly walked back over to Roy, but this time held nothing. “Do yourself a favor and don’t make any sudden sounds…the carpet can only hold so much blood before it starts to become noticeable.” He stated before patting Roy on the side of the face and stood back up to head back where he was.

Roy just continued to sob.

As Roy kept his head down feeling pain, sorry, and a mix of other painful emotions he gasped in shock when a hand gripped his chin. Cold greenish-yellow eyes burned into onyx ones.

“I have a lot planed for you my friend.”

Then he got up and pulled out his throwing knifes instantly flinging them from his talented hands of combat and pinned Roy’s full body back against the wall keeping him up right. One blade had grazed Roy’s right arm. He could tell by the trickle of blood running down his sleeve.

While Roy was in a panic at the sudden move, Hughes grabbed another syringe and filled it, this time with a yellow fluid and went back to Roy.

“I know you can’t do much with out your gloves, but being an alchemist none the less I know one way or another you will find a way to use your hands….and well,” Hughes chuckled, “I just can’t let that happen.” Taking the chained hands, Maes injected both of them in the palm. Roy instantly felt all strength drain from his hands, strength that was used to perform basic, every day, tasks.

“Get use to that feeling Mustang…your going to be feeling it from now on.” Hughes remarked.

Maes Hughes got dressed for the night and in no time at all was in the king sized bed.

With a knife inside his stomach, loss of feeling in his hands, and pinned up straight to the wall, Roy knew he was not going to get much sleep.
