Damn Traditions

This has been the most interrupted chapter I’ve written. Power outages, the laptop’s screen playing up. Getting the two soundtracks I wanted so much, Naruto and Eureka Seven, from America, then loading them onto both my computers…hot weather. And a small bout of depression coz I’m about to lose my machines at work and I don’t want to… But I got it done in the end. So here you go at last, lots of fights, lots of action, no sex, but you can’t have everything….Enjoy. Oh and most of the action was from the show anyway, if you were wondering.

Damn Traditions Continued….


“Damn it to hell,” yelled Piccolo.

“What is it?” asked Nail in concern.

“There’s a ship coming in. I swear it’s an Icejin mother ship.”

“Can we get down without it spotting us?”

“Of course I can get it down without it spotting us! It’s the getting off this blasted planet that I am worried about.”

“Please, just get me as close to the city as you can,” pleaded Kakarott.

“Piccolo?” asked Nail.

He growled, “Fine, but I am not going to put down anywhere where we can be found.”

“I can fly to my mate from where you put down. I thank you for doing this for me. My mate is the Prince, I’m sure he will make sure you can get off this world safely.”

“Fuck,” Piccolo muttered.

“The Prince? Prince Vegeta is your mate?” said Nail in surprise, “They never told us that.”

“They knew I wouldn’t have taken the job if we did!” Piccolo’s tone was very angry, but Nail was not fazed by it.

Piccolo got his small ship safely to the ground and Kakarott was out the door the moment it could be opened.

Vegeta was tensing up to go at Ginyu, but Bardock called to him.

“No Vegeta, don’t. I have the feeling that he’s here to delay us. Your son, you must go and find him. You must get him away from the Icejins.”

“What?”

“They could be slipping away with him right now. Can you sense him at all?”

“Sense him? No, how could I sense him?”

“Ah, I forget, only Kakarott could do that… Let me take care of this, the boy is more important. Do you want him handed over to Freiza?”

Again Vegeta growled, but then he took off.

“Hey, get back here,” shouted Ginyu, but he suddenly found Bardock right in his face.

Ginyu went at him and the fight was on, the pair trading punches, before Bardock went at him to find him disappearing on him. Everywhere he looked he could not see the big alien, until he suddenly erupted from the ground and up at Bardock. Bardock jumped but Ginyu swerved and got him with a hit to the side of his face knocking him off balance and had him crashing to the ground on his back, when he looked up Ginyu was right there about to stomp his face. Bardock slipped sideways and kicked backwards with his feet and got him so that Ginyu was sent flying along the ground. Bardock followed trying to get him, but somehow Ginyu managed to keep going, before he was able to kick off the ground and into proper flight. Bardock took off after him. However Ginyu was looking up ahead and saw a tree coming which he grabbed a hold of and twisted around, Bardock went right past and crashed into Ginyu’s leg as he kicked up. Bardock was sent flying and Ginyu appeared at the top of the cliff awaiting him picking up speed for a mammoth kick that he timed perfectly getting Bardock in the stomach and crashing towards nearby lake. But at the last moment Bardock stopped himself and slid along the surface, pushing away the water, before powering up and flying swiftly at Ginyu. They collided and began to trade punches again until Ginyu got in a good one and Bardock was on his way down. Again he was able to stop himself and landed on the ground safely and Ginyu also joined him there, facing off, Bardock starting to feel the effects of their fight.

They did not rest long. Ginyu and Bardock took off at each other, meeting in a clash of arms and feet as they went at it again. They fell apart landing on their feet, then Ginyu charged up a Ki ball and sent it off at Bardock who jumped, the ball itself rolled to a halt and blew up with an incredible force. Bardock thought he had gotten the Saiyan. But Bardock appeared from the sky above and they were fighting once again. Bardock got one lucky kick and Ginyu went flying into the lake. Bardock ran to the edge and watched as Ginyu used his power to steam up the lake before erupting from it in a fountain of water. Bardock had to hurry to get out of the way of the huge wave that followed about to smash down on him. He took off after Ginyu passing him and getting above. He didn’t notice that Ginyu’s partner had taken after them and threw a Ki ball at him, Bardock ducked but soon found Ginyu behind him with his arms locked around him in an inescapable hold. Ginyu could have won the fight easily, but he was pissed off at Jeice’s interference and let Bardock go to aim a Ki ball at Jeice. He also ducked and was not happy that he had not been appreciated for his help; he just wanted the Saiyan dead. Ginyu wanted a good fight. But Bardock would not be able to fight much longer, instead his attention was held by a burst of power headed their way. First Jeice with his scouter operating, then Ginyu, realized the power coming was stronger than Bardock. They waited until he came into view.

Ginyu and Jeice stared at the man who stopped not far from Ginyu. Their eyes going from him to Bardock as if they were seeing double.

“Father.”

“Kakarott.”

“These guys giving you some trouble?”

“You could say that.”

“Who the hell are you?”

“I’m here to take over for my father.”

Huh? Stronger than him are you?”

“You could say that.”

Ginyu grinned, “Prove it.”

“Father, will you go and help Vegeta, I’ll join you soon.”

Bardock nodded and without a second thought took off in the same direction as Vegeta, Jeice watched him go, but stayed to watch his Captain deal with the newcomer.

Vegeta found himself able to detect the whereabouts of his son once he was inside the castle. He went through the place, but realized that his son was already on the move. He got out as quickly as he could and took to the sky. They were taking his son away from the mansion, pretty soon he was able to pick up his wife and Zarbon were not far ahead, traveling in an air car. He sped up and stopped in the air in front of it. It came to a very sudden stop. A few moments later Zarbon appeared from the car and floated out in front of it and before Vegeta.

“So we meet again Zarbon, what a surprise,” began Vegeta, “Your Ginyu force wasn’t able to hold me back.”

“What all of them?”

“Ginyu had his hands full when I left him and I think the little red one was still alive, coward that he is.”

Zarbon didn’t believe him.

“Now I want my son back, and you are going to give him to me.”

“Your son belongs to Freiza now. He will be trained as a proper vassal of Freiza, fully obedient to his Master.”

“My son will bow to no one.”

“Oh but I beg to differ.”

Vegeta laughed before taking off at Zarbon, tossing him away a bit. Zarbon stopped and rounded on him aiming a massive Ki ball at him. Vegeta knocked it away, surprising Zarbon.
Vegeta then rushed at Z arbon and they began trading punches, Vegeta getting the upper hand, that he got a good one in sending Zarbon to the ground. Vegeta landed behind him and kicked him again; sending him flying and flat on his face, but Zarbon got up laughing and turned to face Vegeta. “Are you ready to face my true power Vegeta?”

“What?” smiled Vegeta, “You have more that that pathetic display?”

“Oh yes,” said Zarbon as he threw out his hands which thickened along with his legs and body, before he stood before Vegeta as a huge beast .He ran at Vegeta and got him in the stomach and knocked him around until he grabbed a leg and tossed him at the ground. As he bounced up he grabbed his head and hit that into the ground and head-butted him as he came back up, again and again before tossing him away.

Vegeta stopped himself and flew back at Zarbon who took off at him at the same time. They met with a crash and started fighting again, Zarbon once more got a good kick in and Vegeta was sent flying off, he stopped himself panting and in pain. Zarbon launched himself at Vegeta getting a leg in his stomach, then bashing him down to the earth where he crashed though solid ground, though the hill and out onto the ground. He raised himself to his hands and knees coughing out blood, watching as Zarbon approached again. Angered Vegeta powered up and went at Zarbon, they fought until an upper kick got Vegeta and threw him away. Then Zarbon powered a Ki ball which he threw at Vegeta. Vegeta flew backwards; just able to keep it off him before he rolled in the air and it hit the ground beneath him. He crashed to the ground, but was soon back on his feet and running from Zarbon’s continued Ki attack, before he got one off himself. Zarbon pushed it off, sent another of his own at Vegeta to avoid while launching himself at Vegeta and getting him in the stomach again. Vegeta swung around powered again and they clashed together in a thunder of fighting. Still Zarbon came out on top, knocking off Vegeta and taking the advantage to grab him around the neck and holding him. He fought back elbowing him in the ribs repeatedly until he finally let go.

Vegeta fell with the pain overpowering him, but Zarbon followed, kicking him twice very hard, grabbing his head and holding him so that he could punch and kick him all he wanted, before letting go to bash him with both arms hard. Vegeta was zooming towards the ground, but Zarbon followed grabbing him from behind, speeding them up before letting go so Vegeta crashed into the ground with a huge explosion. The crater he made was soon filling with water. Zarbon powered down believing he had beaten the Saiyan Prince, he hurried back to the air car.

Vegeta pulled himself from the water dragged himself along until he could go no more and collapsed.

Once his father was out of the way, Kakarott began to power up. At first Ginyu was pleased to get a stronger opponent, but then he and Jeice were disturbed at the continuing rise, far more than they had bargained on from a normal Saiyan, but then Kakarott was no normal Saiyan.

Ginyu’s own power level was soon surpassed and he couldn’t believe it, he crashed downward picked up a huge rock and tossed it at Kakarott, but it merely smashed against his power, so he continued with Ki ball after Ki ball, and they made no effect at all, sitting in his field of power before he let lose and they flew back at the him and Jeice.

Jeice was terrified and wanted to run, and Ginyu suddenly came to a realization. “You’re not an ordinary Saiyan, you’re a super Saiyan!”

“All I want is my son. If you leave now I won’t have to kill you.”

“Are you serious?”

“My mate is fighting and I wish to help him.”

Ginyu knew he was out of his league, but if he didn’t get this Saiyan out of the way, Freiza would kill him. He had one more thing left to him, and if he could have that power for himself…

He started to laugh, then he began to aim Ki ball after Ki ball, all of which Kakarott merely slapped away. So he went faster, throwing so many that Kakarott was buried by the smoke of those fired, and he sent a beam to end it. In the end the smoke cleared and Kakarott was still there floating unmoved in the sky. Ginyu laughed again and tossed his scouter to Jeice telling him to hold onto it. Then he powered up a ball in his hand and much to Kakarott’s horror, aimed it at his own chest, plunging into his own body. Blue blood seeped from his mouth and body with the horrible wound. Then he powered up, Kakarott thought he was going for one last hit.

Ginyu hit his peak and shouted, “You’re mine.”

Kakarott suddenly realized that something was wrong, he was not able to move, he felt his soul being ripped from his body. Then he found himself looking at himself.

“Why you? Hey you… what kind of powers did you use?” he asked.

“The power to metamorph into your body.”

While Kakarott spluttered with disbelief, Jeice came up to Ginyu in Kakarott’s body and handed him the scouter he has tossed to him.

“Now let’s go, this one is defeated. Let’s get after Vegeta and the other one. They must not get the child back.” He and Jeice took off leaving Kakarott floundering in Ginyu’s damaged body.

At first Kakarott did not know if he could go on, but the mention of his child got him moving after them, he was not going to give up and let his mate and father die. He couldn’t feel Vegeta. There had to be a way to get his body back.

The air car had continued moving after Zarbon had gone off on his fight with Vegeta. Aspaga had her hands full with the child and his very well developed pair of lungs. She tried covering her ears but that had no effect on drowning out the sound.

“Shut up you little bastard!” she screamed. Even as she finished the air car came to a stop.

The door opened and a third class soldier looked in, “Is that anyway to talk to the Prince?”

“Get away from here, third class. This is none of your business.”

“It is my business when the child expressing his displeasure at your company is my own grandson.”

“You!”

“Yes me,” he smiled. Then suddenly found himself facing a Ki ball.

He jumped out of the way, as she left the air car to face him, smiling herself. ”I’ve always wanted to destroy one of your class, seems I am being given the chance.”

“Bring it on bitch.”

She went at him, she threw punches and kicks, and not one of them connected. She pulled back and started to throw Ki balls at him. Once again he was able to dodge them, gracefully dancing around them, enjoying himself.

“Keep still you third class piece of trash.”

“Trash I may be, but you are worse that a piece of scum in a sewage pipe.”

She took of at him with sped, only to run into his held out hands that smashed into her face. She fell from the sky, hitting the ground hard. Bardock didn’t know if she was still alive. He didn’t care to look; instead he went after his bawling grandson. But just as he reached the air car, he came face to face with Zarbon. He had the boy in his arms.

“Come any closer and you will join Vegeta in the afterworld.”

“Vegeta?”

“Yes. This is now the heir to this planet, and he’s coming with me. Or would you risk him in a fight with me?”

Bardock backed off and watched the blue alien shoot away with the boy. He turned and searched for Vegeta’s power signature. Very faintly he found it and hurried back to find him.

He saw him lying unconscious on the ground, “Shit,” he said picking the Prince up and flying off in the direction Zarbon went.

“Do you have any more on that ship, Piccolo?” asked Nail as he stood behind his mate on their ship.

Piccolo had his teeth clenched. “It’s that bastard, Freiza.”

He had barely turned when he felt the backwash of his mate’s exit from the ship. “No Nail!” he screamed as he got up to follow his mate.

Freiza had destroyed their world, killing their spiritual leader after Nail had fought to save him. Piccolo barely had time to drag his mate to their ship before the white lizard blew their whole world apart. Other Namek’s had escaped, but not many and they had gone off to find another world to call home. But Nail and Piccolo did not go with them. They had turned to a life as mercenaries with the hope that one day they might be able to find a way to kill Freiza themselves. But Nail had never forgotten the death of their leader, who also happened to be his father, though not Piccolo’s.

If that ship was Frieza’s that was where Nail was headed.
