Chapter 23

Duo lay there watching Heero cutting into his stomach for the second time it really didn’t seem like that long ago since this happened with Xanatos, who had also started to crawl around a bit and talk more, Quatre was on forehead duty keeping Duo nice and comfortable with different cool cloths as he was extremely hot when he first went into labor.

Trowa was watching from the chair as he really didn’t need to get in the way at the moment. He still wanted to be there for his friends.

Heero finally made the proper cut in Duo’s stomach and reached in he was surprised to feel what he did. “Well this is interesting,” Heero spoke up Duo cocked a brow.

“What is interesting besides the fact you have your hand buried inside my stomach and you’re not pulling anything out don’t tell me I had a tumor the whole time?” Duo said sarcastically it was easy to joke when he couldn’t feel anything.

“No of course you didn’t,” Heero said rolling his eyes he then cut the whole a little bigger and pulled out two tiny babies that were hugging onto each other looking again very red and purple.

“I’ll be damned twins!” Duo said very surprised indeed as Heero quickly clamped the cords from the tiny babies bellies Quatre came over quickly to help so he could hold one of the babies so Heero could take care of the other. One was a girl the other was a boy the girl had black hair and once she was cleaned had pale skin and grayish blue eyes. The other had dark brown hair and violet eyes.

“Hmnn,” Heero said looking at the girl once she was cleaned Quatre had swaddled the boy and brought him over to Duo who had of course been stitched up by now and resting comfortably against the head bored with many pillows behind his head.

“What is it tell me!” Duo snapped as Heero brought the other baby over “Well you have a girl and a boy. The girl isn’t mine,” Heero said holding the swaddled baby girl up for Duo to see. The hair that she had was already visible enough and dark enough.

Duo had already got the baby boy latched on to his huge lactating breast, “Oh,” Duo said feeling a bit awkward about it as well. It was clear the boy was Duo and Heero’s baby.

Quatre sighed “Well why does that matter!?” He demanded to know “It wasn’t Duo’s fault nor was it the babies fault!” Quatre spoke up on behave of the little innocent child.

“Quatre, we know its not the babies fault,” Duo spoke up “just chill anyways bring her over here so she can eat to, a girl huh never dealt with a girl before.” Duo looked up seeing Heero’s expression on his face.

Heero was still looking the baby over the baby started to cry wrinkling up her little face she was hungry too she was making pucker faces then she would cry. Heero didn’t know how to feel about all of this. This child that wasn’t his he didn’t seem to hear Duo.

“Heero!” Duo snapped getting irritated now Heero looked up as if broken from a trance. “Bring the baby girl to me now” He said in a firm tone Heero for once listened to him and set the baby against Duo’s other side and she latched on to his breast. “After I feed them I’d like to have my womb and utters removed.” Duo added as the babies suckled happily Quatre watched with big sparkly blue eyes.

“Very well,” Heero agreed thinking this would be for the best, incase Trowa tried to get an heir out of Duo as well though lest Wufei’s was a girl and that pretty much means his heir is dead now.

Trowa then brought Xanatos over to see his new brother and sister he sat down on the bed next to Duo. “See your new brother and sister” He wondered to Xanatos.

“AH NO!” Xanatos screamed and managed to get out of Trowa’s arms and crawled over and thumped the girl on the forehead “MY MAMA!” He said angrily at the baby, “My suck sucks!” He added with a huff though he didn’t nurse from Duo anymore. Of course the baby started to cry.

“No Xanatos don’t hit the baby!” Trowa quickly moved Xanatos back Heero came around and picked Xanatos up.

“Baby its ok, you have to share mama now,” Heero tried to explain “I had to learn to share with you now you’ll have to do the same with the new kids.” Heero said and walked around to the other side of the bed and sat down.

“So what are you going to name them then?” Quatre wondered he had written down how long they were and how many pounds.

Heero was suppose to be the one to name them this time, “I’ll name the boy you name the girl” Heero quickly said wanting to name his own son.

“Fine with me” Duo kissing the girl on her head and she quieted down and nursed again. Quatre took the boy for Duo and began to burp him. “The girl’s name will be Shay Maxwell Yuy I think that is a cute name.” Duo said happily it did sound good to him he liked it.

“Aw that is a very cute name,” Quatre agreed contently and gently patted the boy on his back.

Heero then gave Xanatos back to Trowa and took the baby boy from Quatre who had just burped he looked down at the baby boy. Who seemed to be very alert on his first day into the light world. “I like the name Edward,” Heero spoke up he liked the meaning it was a good strong name and it was pretty name as well.

“Yeah I like that name as well Edward and Shay” Duo agreed with Heero. “Welcome to the family Shay and Edward, I am your mommy and that man over there holding Edward is your daddy. Those two are your uncles Quatre and Trowa that is your brother Xanatos.” He said as he then began to burp the baby girl.

“I am not her father,” Heero spoke up a bit coolly to Duo on this matter he didn’t want to even start that kind of thing.

“Ah Heero,” Duo sighed “fine whatever what do you want to tell her then when she is older that you killed her father!?” Duo demanded to know. “She’ll hate you,” Duo sighed, “if you start with this attitude or she’ll be depressed her whole life!”

“Well I am not going to lie to her either, I don’t want her to think I am her father because for the simple fact that I am not.” Heero said calmly as Duo got pissed off.

Duo huffed “Whatever you say then Heero,” Duo said feeling bad for Shay already.

Heero then went over to the rocking chair and sat down with the baby and began to rock with Edward and kissed him on his forehead. Xanatos huffed again when Heero was holding Edward.

“Bring Xanatos to me” Heero said to Trowa. Who did as he was asked Heero let Xanatos look at Edward and explained that he still loved Xanatos as much as he had before. Also that Xanatos was still special and that he loved him very much and that he’d like Xanatos to love his brother as well.

Xanatos lay his head on Heero’s chest comfortably looking at his new brother, “Baby” he said patting him with his chubby hand.

“Yes your baby brother, very good Xanatos so smart,” Heero said and kissed Xanatos on the forehead who then kissed Heero back on the cheek.

Duo smiled from the bed Xanatos was still so adorable he thought to himself. It did seem strange to him to be holding someone elses child it felt really strange to Duo he also felt very bad for Shay. He’d make sure her brothers cared for her at lest even if Heero didn’t.
