A/N: Yay! Last chapter of the story! Thousands of apologies for all you who waited soooooo long to see this to the end! It’s alright now. You don’t have to wait anymore. :)
Vegeta paced his room nervously while staring at the carpeting on the floor. Every once in a while, he would gaze at his sleeping samurai before continuing his pacing. He hoped Kakarot would get better soon. He feared something terrible will happen…if it hasn’t already. Finally, the sound that he was expecting, there was a knock on his window and there appeared his fellow comrade, Jin. Vegeta quickly went over and opened it, allowing him to enter his room quietly. “What is it, young Master? Your guard said you had something urgent for me to do.” He whispered out of habit. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone lying in the young noble’s bed and looked back at the other in question. “Who’s that?” He looked back at the man and studied him. “Is…is that the samurai we were ordered to kill? What’s he doing here?!” He stood while putting his hand on one of his swords, ready to strike.
Vegeta immediately put a hand on his, preventing him from pulling out his weapon. “Please, don’t hurt him. He’s already injured.” The other stopped but didn’t take his hand off his weapon. “And yes…he is the samurai, but he’s innocent. You have to believe me.”
Jin frowned at the samurai and didn’t take his eyes off of him as he spoke to the young noble. “Why do you think that? Why are you disobeying our Master’s orders?”
Vegeta looked lost for a moment before answering curtly. “I told you, he’s innocent.”
Jin scrutinized the noble for a minute. “And I asked why you think that?”
Vegeta was about to answer when Kakarot moaned in pain. He quickly went to his side to wet a towel in the water bowl next to him and dabbed it on his forehead to distract him from the pain. “Oh, shit.” He turned toward his partner. “You’re in love with him!”
Vegeta strolled up to Jin and growled lowly. “Keep your voice down.” He looked back at his beloved. “He’s trying to rest.”
Jin’s breathing sped up at the predicament his young Lord has put himself into. “Your highness are you mad?! The man is dangerous!”
“No!” Vegeta said without thinking before calming himself. “No he’s not. I’ve spent time with him. If he was going to harm me, he would’ve done it by now.” He smiled in hope.
Jin shook his head in denial. “This is…this is crazy.” It was his turn to start pacing the room in panic.
Vegeta went forward to stop his pacing. “Jin, I need you to do something for me. I fear our Master may be in danger and Akuto is trying to kill him and Kakarot.”
Jin stopped breathing for a moment. “Wh…What?”
The noble growled under his breath in impatience. “I said, I fear we have enemies within our allies. No one is safe around them. Here.” He pulled out a letter from his shirt pocket and handed it to his partner. “I want you to deliver this letter to our Master. It explains what is going on and the evidence to support it. No one must read this but him.” Jin went to grab it, but Vegeta didn’t let it go. “You must not be seen. I want you to hand it to him while he’s alone and tell him it’s from me.”
Jin gazed at the letter for a moment then looked at the young noble again. “Why not give it to him yourself?”
Vegeta gave him a piercing but worried look. “Because…I fear that Akuto suspects that I know what he’s planning and he might know that Kakarot is here. Besides, if he sees me give the letter to Master, he might persuade him to give it to him and destroy it. Please, for our Master’s safety and anyone else that might be in danger, do this for me.”
Jin looked into his young Lord’s eyes for a moment before nodding. “Alright, Your Highness. I’ll do it.” Vegeta breathed a sigh of relief and let go of the letter. Jin tucked it in his uniform before glancing at the wounded samurai again. “Kakarot, huh? Sounds familiar.”
Vegeta nodded sadly. “Yes. His last name is Mamoru. He is…Lord Akuto’s nephew.”
Jin looked at him in shock. “He’s what?!”
“Would you keep your voice down?” Vegeta looked at Kakarot to see if he woke up, but he didn’t stir. He turned back to his comrade. “Now, stop wasting time. I want you to deliver that letter as quickly as possible, understand?”
Jin sighed then nodded. “Yes, sir.” With that, he took one last look at the sleeping samurai and left the same way he came in.
Vegeta sighed as well before looking over at his lover again, wishing him to get better soon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jin rushed towards his Master’s manor. Just what in the great wide world is going on? He’s never been so confused…nor so lost. He had no idea what to think of this. Should he trust his young Lord or tell his Master of the samurai? He sped up his pace as the manor came in sight. He’ll have to wait until he gives the letter to his Master. Maybe then…things will become clearer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Akuto carefully snuck out of his temporary room with a big grin on his face before quietly closing the door behind him. He turned around to be met by the young lord Ookami. He jumped slightly at the other’s unexpected presence and rolled his head in shame and relief. “Don’t sneak up on me like that.” He threatened. “I’m expecting an attack from your fiancé any minute now.” He looked around him in a nervous way while adjusting his robes.
Ookami gave the elder a glare and sneered. “When can I have ‘my’ play thing? You promised me this would work out!” He growled.
Akuto returned the glare. “Would you be patient? If he hasn’t found out by now, he will soon enough.”
“How about I just go over there right now and claim him? He’s powerless. We have his father and the samurai is weak. Not to mention I have the whole clan at my disposal.” Ookami became nonchalant in his last sentence.
Akuto sighed in aggravation. “Be responsible with your clan. Don’t just go slaying anyone you want without worrying about getting caught. If you become a poor leader, then your clan will mutiny upon you or worse…you’ll cause a war among other clans.”
Ookami sighed with impatience. “You’re starting to sound like my father. Do I need to get rid of you as well?” He smirked cockily.
Akuto sneered and took an intimidating step towards him. “Do not test me, Ookami. Or I will snuff out your life like a weak little insect. Don’t forget who helped you get this far.”
Ookami stood his ground and took a step closer himself. “Please, I could’ve killed my father a long time ago and claimed what was mine. Your presence just made it that much easier.”
Akuto took a step back with a bit more ease in his stance. “That makes two of us.”
“Hn.” Ookami scrutinized him and crossed his arms. “So, what’s next then?”
“I told you.” Akuto smirked. “When he shows up.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jin stared at the two nobles in shock. His breathing sped up in a panic as their words soaked in. However, his thoughts couldn’t make sense as he tried to think what to do next. His next impulse was to check on his Master. He was hoping to all Gods that they were wrong.
He quietly, but quickly, snuck his way to his Master’s room. When he got there, he stood in complete shock and panic, horrified at the scene he was looking at. There his Master sat against the wall, covered in blood. His throat was slit and had multiple stab wounds. It looked like a sword did the work. A gasp got caught in his throat when he realized what the two maniacal nobles were planning. Without another thought, he raced back to his clan. He had to tell them. He had to let them know where to stand. Otherwise, disaster will fall upon his young Lord and the samurai.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He couldn’t wait any longer. He had to tell his father what he was planning and hopefully they can prepare for the worse. Vegeta glanced at this lover one more time before leaving his room and making his way to his father’s study. However, when he arrived, he wasn’t there. He looked around for a guard but couldn’t find one. That’s odd. Where was everyone? Did his father take them? Where did he go? Deciding to take things into his own hands, he headed for the exit, only to be met by his fiancé. “Ookami? What are you doing here?”
The smirking Lord invited himself in, causing Vegeta to back away. “Why, I just came to see what my darling fiancé was up to. So,” He looked around with a bit of skepticism, “what are you up to?”
Vegeta looked surprised for a moment. “Me? Nothing. I’m just looking for my father. You wouldn’t have happened to see him by any chance, would you?”
Ookami couldn’t keep the smile from his face. “Lord Hokoru? Hm. I haven’t seen him in a while actually. Not to worry. I’m sure he’s fine.”
Alarm slowly started to sink into Vegeta’s core. “Really. You haven’t seen him at all?”
Ookami started to advance towards the young noble as he spoke to him with a sly tone in his voice. “I actually came here to tell you that our ceremony has changed.”
Vegeta continued backing away. “Again? That doesn’t make sense. How far back are you pushing it now?”
“Actually, I’m pulling it forward. We’ll be getting married tomorrow.” Ookami smirked.
Vegeta narrowed his eyes. “Really? And…is Master okay with this?”
Ookami couldn’t help but let the most devilish grin spread across his face. “Why, of course. His and Akuto’s plans have come together and plan to have us wedded by tomorrow.”
Vegeta’s back hit a wall as he carefully reached for his knife. “I don’t believe you.”
Ookami chuckled. “Doesn’t matter. I’ll have you either way. In fact,” He stopped just inches away to roughly place his hands on either side of Vegeta’s head. “I should marry you today.” He leaned down for a kiss, but was stopped when something sharp and cold met his throat.
“Don’t touch me.” Vegeta threatened as his breathing sped up, making the panic in his eyes more obvious. “What have you done with my father?”
Ookami smirked. “Why, Vegeta, I don’t know what you mean.”
“Don’t lie to me you conniving snake. I won’t tolerate your selfishness and your evil deeds any longer. Now, tell me where my father is!” He held the knife tighter, bringing it closer to his fiancé’s pale flawless skin.
Before Ookami could answer, a figure appeared at the entrance, revealing the cold gaze of Lord Akuto and another figure behind him. “He’s right here.” He answered the young noble cruelly as he dragged Lord Hokoru from behind him and pushed him in front of him, causing the older noble to fall to his knees. He appeared to be in pain.
Vegeta peered around Ookami to look at the figure on the floor. “Father?” The man had bruises on his face and neck. His clothes were torn and barely clinging to him, causing more skin to show where more bruises appeared. “What have you done to him?!”
Lord Hokoru looked at the ground in shame as Akuto explained. “Isn’t it obvious? I took what was mine.” He came up behind Hokoru and kneeled as his hands roamed wherever they could. Lord Hokoru weakly tried to pry them away, but he was too exhausted and beaten. “He should’ve been mine all along, not Bardock’s. Hell, the clan should’ve been mine! However, that didn’t stop my parents from separating you two. Or should I say, I stopped you two from being together.”
“What?” Hokoru rasped out.
Akuto chuckled. “If it wasn’t for my suggestion for my little brother to marry that sweet young noble’s daughter, you two would’ve been together.”
Hokoru’s eyes grew wide. “You...” He couldn’t bring himself to finish his sentence.
The other grinned. “Yes. I wanted you all for myself.” He licked the inner shell of the other’s ear, who cringed.
“You were jealous.” Vegeta interrupted. “Bardock had everything. The clan, the love of his life, and you got nothing. You wanted to be just like him, didn’t you? You were jealous of your younger brother.”
Rage suddenly appeared in Akuto’s eyes as he clung to Hokoru tighter. “No! He had what was supposed to be mine! I was the eldest! He had MY clan! MY love of MY life! And he took it! He stole it all from me! And for what?! Just because ‘I’ didn’t move fast enough to claim him?!” He gripped Hokoru’s hair to hold his head in place then leaned forward to nuzzle him possessively and took in his scent. “Or was it because I wasn’t responsible enough? I didn’t have my own clan together, was that it?” He asked more to himself than anyone in the room.
“Are you sure? Are you sure you fell for my father because Bardock did? Or are you just jealous that Bardock was chosen and not you?” Vegeta went on carefully.
Akuto slowly pulled away from Hokoru then stood and pulled out his sword. “What the hell do you know? You were just an infant at the time. You know nothing.” He placed the flat of the sword against Hokoru’s cheek and trailed it down his neck and arm.
Hokoru shivered at the coldness of the blade and whimpered, having a feeling what was going to happen next. “W-What are you doing?” Vegeta asked in fear.
Akuto ignored his question as he stared at Hokoru with a blank expression. “By the way, that was a clever idea, telling your clan about me and my plans to destroy them. I wasn’t expecting you to find out so quickly.”
Vegeta gave him a confused stare. “What do you mean?”
Akuto smirked. “No need to play dumb. You should applaud yourself at your brilliance. It almost worked. However, my clan is bigger and stronger. They’re more devoted to me than your clan is to you.”
“What are you talking about?” Vegeta went on until Ookami interrupted.
“What do you mean you planned to destroy the Shinobi clan?! I thought we had a deal Akuto! I killed my father so that I could have Vegeta and the clan while you get Hokoru and our alliance becomes stronger!”
“What?! You killed my Master?!” Vegeta interrupted again as Hokoru seemed just as surprised, but not that surprised.
Akuto laughed. “Stupid boy. If I was willing to betray your father, what made you think I’d be loyal to you? I’d rather be more so to Koga than a spoiled brat. You wouldn’t last a month with your own clan, much less with Vegeta. He’s just like his father. Smart, cunning…handsome. You need that. You need him to make you look good so you can have more control over the clan, but that won’t happen. Ever.”
Ookami shook in his rage. “You bastard. You’ll pay for this.”
Akuto chuckled. “I doubt that.” He pulled back his sword to point it at Hokoru’s back, aiming for his heart. “I’m sorry my love. As much as I enjoyed your company, you need to be punished for betraying me. I will see you in the next life.”
Hokoru’s breathing sped up as Vegeta screamed out, suddenly piecing it all together. “NO!” However, his screams did nothing as the blade pierced his father and came out the other side of his chest.
Hokoru gasped and choked as his breathing suddenly became labored and hard to do. The blade slowly pulled out of his chest and Hokoru collapsed. Vegeta tried going to him, but Ookami held him back. “No! Father!” Tears formed and fell from Vegeta’s panicked eyes as he focused them on his father’s body. No, this wasn’t happening. This couldn’t be happening…
Akuto stared blankly down at Hokoru before sighing and a smile graced his features. “Now, where’s my nephew?”
“Right here.” A hoarse voice came from behind.
As soon as Akuto turned, a sword came swinging at his head. He barely had time to react as he brought up his sword to block the attack. They pushed against each other for a moment, sizing each other up, both determined to take out one another. “Kakarot!” Vegeta cried out in surprise and panic. Kakarot shouldn’t be fighting! He’s still healing!
Ookami held Vegeta tighter as he tried to get free. “How do you know his name?” He asked harshly into the other’s ear. However, Vegeta ignored him as he watched the fight unfold.
Akuto pushed with all his might, causing Kakarot to get pushed back and lose his balance. Akuto used that moment to swing his sword towards his torso, but Kakarot managed to dodge out of the way, causing him to stumble a bit and wince at the pain in his injuries in the movement. Akuto tsked at his sloppy fighting and brought his sword up in front of him in a defensive position. “What’s wrong nephew? Still injured from my assassins? That’s too bad. You’ll need everything you got to kill me.” He swung his sword at the hurt samurai, who blocked his attacks as best as he could.
Vegeta continued to struggle and call out his lover’s name in fear of getting himself killed. However, Ookami had a tight hold on him. The more Vegeta struggled and cried out, the more skeptical Ookami became. “Vegeta, stop this! Why are you defending him! You don’t even know him!”
Vegeta thrashed while growling, “That’s what you think!”
Ookami’s gaze became wide in shock then gradually turned into anger. “You…I knew it! You slept with him, didn’t you?! Didn’t you?!” He turned Vegeta so he faced him and shook him in his grasp.
Vegeta smirked cruelly. “So what if I did? What are you going to do about it?”
Ookami tightened his grip on his arms. “You whore! How dare you dishonor me!”
“How so?! Just because I don’t desire you?! That I chose to be with another makes me a whore?!” Vegeta spat.
Ookami lost it and back handed him hard enough that Vegeta hit the floor and dropped his knife. He lied on the floor in a dizzy and disoriented state as Ookami reached for the knife and held it against his throat while straddling him. “Now, it’s your turn my love. Time to meet your father in the afterlife.” Just when he was about to pull the blade back, another blade imbedded itself in his arm that held the blade. He shrieked and dropped the blade while holding onto his arm. Vegeta crawled away from him before grabbing the knife that was dropped. He didn’t have to look to know that Kakarot threw the knife.
He stood quickly then and jumped on top of Ookami and straddled him. Ookami caught Vegeta’s arm that held the knife, aimed towards his chest. Vegeta used his free arm to push down on the other, pushing it closer to a panting chest. Ookami pushed back with both of his hands as well. Vegeta growled at the effort, knowing this situation was going nowhere. Apparently, Ookami was thinking the same thing when he jerked Vegeta’s arms to the side and head butted him. Vegeta cried out at the unexpected impact and fell back. It was Ookami’s turn to straddle Vegeta when he got on top of him and began choking the life out of him. When Vegeta tried to resist, Ookami banged his head on the floor a few times, causing Vegeta to become unfocused and his grip slacked. Vegeta suddenly thought of the knife that was lying nearby and quickly tried to grab it, however, it was just out of his reach. He didn’t give up though as he kept reaching for it. Just when he was about to black out from the lack of air, his fingers grazed the handle of the knife and he quickly grabbed it and impaled it in Ookami’s temple. The noble’s angry expression slowly turned slack and so did his grip. Vegeta took in a lungful of air while still gripping the knife. He watched as blood oozed out of the noble’s eyes, ears, and nose then shoved him off of him. Ookami was dead before he hit the floor. Vegeta stared at the blank eyes of his once fiancée to make sure he was dead, then quickly stood and made his way to his lover, who was still fighting.
He watched the fight for a moment, waiting for the opportune moment to strike. Kakarot was having a hard time standing his own ground and keeping up with Akuto’s pace. He was tiring quickly and his injuries were getting worse. Some of them were reopening and new ones were being made. Suddenly, a moment came for Akuto when Kakarot lost his footing, causing his sword to be hit and thrown to the side. He fell to the floor in his exhaustion as Akuto stood over him with a grin. “Finally, what’s left of my brother and my family will finally die and I will be the only leader among the Mamoru family.” He held up his sword in a fatal position, ready to strike. However, that moment didn’t come when his own scream was heard. A knife somehow embedded itself in his back. He looked behind him to see Vegeta slowly backing away from him. Akuto stared at him in surprise then awkwardly tried to pull the knife out. This distraction caused Kakarot to retrieve his sword then stood before his enemy. Akuto turned his head just in time to get it cut off. The head flew across the room and hit the wall with a splat then rolled onto the floor and stopped at Ookami’s side.
Vegeta and Kakarot watched Akuto’s body go lax then fall to the floor. Kakarot fell along with it, no longer able to stand. “Kakarot!” Vegeta shouted in a panic and went to his hurt lover and hovered over him. “Are you alright? Don’t die on me! Stay with me please!” His hands hovered over him, not really sure what to do to help.
Kakarot grabbed a hold of one of his panicking hands and held it to his cheek. “Don’t worry. I’m not going anywhere.” He rasped out with a smile.
That seemed to relieve Vegeta immensely as he smiled and held his lover’s face with both hands and kissed him passionately. Hands roamed carefully over one another as the kiss progressed more deeply and desperately. They soon parted for air and stared at each other for a moment before Kakarot moved to stand. Vegeta helped him by wrapping his arm around his shoulders and using his body weight to lift him and keep him standing. They glanced at Ookami’s body and the head of Akuto. “Is he dead?” Kakarot kept his gaze on Ookami.
“Yes.” Vegeta breathed out in relief.
Kakarot panted in his effort to keep standing. “Good. Because if it wasn’t going to be you who killed him, it was going to be me.” He and Vegeta laughed weakly as Vegeta helped turn him around to leave the manor.
However, on their way, they came across Lord Hokoru’s body. Vegeta stopped and left Kakarot to stand on his own as he went to kneel at his father’s side. “Oh, father. What has he done to you?” He asked tearfully as he tried to move him on his back so he may see him. When he did so, Lord Hokoru let out a pained gasped at the action, which caused Vegeta to gasp in return. “F-Father? You’re alive?”
Lord Hokoru tried to focus his gaze on his son, but it appeared to be a challenge. “My son…I’m s-sorry…I w-wasn’t…there…to…”
“Shhh, father don’t talk. Save your strength. You’re going to be alright.” Vegeta tried convincing himself, even as he eyed the pool of blood around his father.
Lord Hokoru lifted a heavy hand with his fingers curled toward his son’s face and rested it against his cheek. Vegeta took it in his smaller hands and held it to himself. “Vegeta…choose…your own l-life…don’t…let…it go…live…the life…I-I n-never…h-had…l-live…” He ended his dying words with his last breath and promptly went slack.
“F-Father! No!” Vegeta whimpered as tears streamed from his eyes. He nuzzled the hand that still rested against his cheek, hoping to make it move and prove that his father was still alive, but it was futile.
Kakarot crouched at Vegeta’s side as he held his bleeding injuries. He moved his other arm to drape it around Vegeta’s shaking shoulders, coaxing him into his arms. Vegeta released the hand from his grip and cried into a strong, bleeding chest. Kakarot rested on his knees to hug Vegeta tighter to himself and rested his head against the other’s. “Vegeta…I’m sorry. If only I came sooner…”
Vegeta shook his head in Kakarot’s shoulder. “No…no it wasn’t your fault. It was mine. If only I…if only I told him sooner…if only I acted sooner and killed Akuto myself, all this wouldn’t have happened!” Vegeta paused to control his sobbing then gripped his lover tighter.
“No, Vegeta. Don’t talk like that. If there’s anyone to blame, it’s Akuto.” He pulled back to look Vegeta in the eye. “If he wasn’t so consumed by greed, my parents would still be alive and your father and your master, but we took our revenge, Vegeta. He’s no more and we are free.”
Vegeta looked into those hopeful, determined, and loving eyes. He trusted them…he trusted this man before him and loved him unconditionally. “You’re right. At least…he got what was coming to him.” He looked down sadly at his father’s bleeding body then hesitantly reached down to close his eyes. “At least, he’s no longer suffering.” He whispered sadly.
The moment was interrupted when they heard footsteps run inside and stop just before them. “My Lord…” “Master Vegeta…” It looks like some of his men and then some survived their battle and came to see if their Lords were alright. Some of the men whispered in astonishment when they looked between their dead Lord and their young noble. “Young Lord, what happened?” One man asked before Jin came towards the front of the group to see what happened. “Your highness, are you alright?” He looked to the samurai for a moment then back to Vegeta. He bent down to his level to see if the noble was alright.
Vegeta stared at nothing as he took in the other’s words. “He’ll be alright. He’s strong.” Kakarot answered for him.
Jin looked to the samurai in stunned silence then sadly back at his young Lord. “So, what will happen to the clan? What now?” Another man asked as murmured whispers followed.
Not a word was said for a while until Kakarot spoke up again in a bland but hopeful tone. “We move on.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A year later…
Vegeta wrote furiously at his desk with a look of concentration etched into his feature. Papers scattered all over the desk and floor as if someone had a tantrum and yet the room was calm and quiet...save for one mischievous figure that snuck up behind the noble and covered his mouth. “I am very displeased at your efforts to ignore me. This simply cannot be forgiven, therefore…” Kakarot turned Vegeta’s face towards him and smiled. “I will have to take you out and soak up all of your attention for the rest of the day.” He practically purred as he waited for his mate’s response.
Vegeta let the feeling of shock leave him before turning back to his paperwork. “Not today, Kakarot. I have a lot of paperwork that needs to be signed and read. I don’t have time to fool around with you today.” He answered grumpily.
Kakarot rolled his eyes and let out a groan before sitting on the desk next to his beloved. He leaned over to look at the paperwork that Vegeta was doing only to eyeball all the others. “Oh, come on, Vegeta! Most of this stuff doesn’t even have to be done until next month! Why don’t you take a break? You’ve been at it for a week and I hardly see you anymore.” Kakarot pleaded.
Vegeta growled in impatience. “I rather get it done now so I don’t have to worry about it later.” He was about to scribble down his signature when a hand was placed over it. He looked up at the one responsible in annoyance.
“As leader of the Mamoru clan, I demand that you don’t do any work for a week.” Kakarot ordered sincerely as he gripped Vegeta’s wrist, causing him to drop the quill on the desk as he was made to stand with him. Kakarot embraced his mate and whispered in his ear, “Don’t worry about everything love. We’re doing just fine and you’re doing a wonderful job, but you need a break or else you’ll go crazy. Let me worry about the paperwork while you relax, okay?” He nuzzled the other’s neck as Vegeta slowly relaxed in his beloved’s hold.
Vegeta returned the embrace and hummed in thought. “Alright, but only for a few days. I know how scatter brained you can be.” He chuckled playfully.
Kakarot pulled back slightly to smirk in return. “True. Alright your highness, as you wish.” He reached down for a loving kiss and deepened it when it was returned before pulling away with renewed enthusiasm. “Now, to the carriage!”
Vegeta laughed as he was pulled by a running Kakarot towards the entrance of their new manor and outside towards a waiting carriage. A few orders to the guards and they were off into their new hometown, Matsue.
They had to get away from their previous home. There was nothing there but death and sorrow. They needed to start their life someplace new…someplace where they could make a good difference and be happy. Vegeta wanted to be by the ocean, it felt free to him. It was peaceful and spoke of promises of the untold future, that he and Kakarot could live peacefully. At first, Vegeta thought that he wanted to be free from his imprisoned life of a noble, but what he really needed was to be with someone that made him feel free. He was already free, he just needed someone to point that out to him and show him what it’s like to actually live and enjoy life. Now, their clans are back under order and their territory has expanded. Although their allies are still coming together, but in due time, perhaps they will finally have some trustworthy allies, instead of deceitful ones.
OH MY GOD, FINALLY!!! I bet you’re all thinking the same damn thing lol. I apologize for taking so long to finish this story, I really do. For a while there, I didn’t know how to end it. I just knew that I wanted pretty much everyone to die, but then I didn’t know how I was going to do that or what was going to happen afterwards, but damn am I glad it’s finally over. Writer’s block is a bitch. If it were actually a person, I’d kill it the same way Akuto killed Bardock…no joke. >_>
Oh yeah…forgot about Lady Hokoru…either way, I want her either missing or dead. I really don’t want to go back and change it, but the way it’s written, I hope it kind of gives the idea that she’s no longer around. Sure she could’ve came up not long after the fit hit the shan or during the time that he and Kakarot were together, but in all sincerity…I’m tired. It’s past 5:30 in the friggin morning and I gotta go to work, so I’m off to bed. Hope the ending was decent and you all enjoyed it, if not well…too bad. -_-
By the way…yay!! I have another story that’s finished!! :D I’m proud of myself. ^^
