Goku stood unsteadily at first, then more securely with each step toward Vegeta. He reached out, eyes widening in shock when Vegeta struck his hand, knocking it away with a growl before it could connect. He was finally beginning to feel something from Vegeta, but it wasn’t reaching him through their bond. Churning, unfocused frustration and rage swelled, growing fast.
But the fight was finished and they’d won, why was he still so angry? It made no sense. “It’s over, Vegeta! You’ve got to calm down!”
“You think it’s over? It’s never going to be over, it’s never going to stop, not as long as I’m like this!”
“Vegeta, what…” He stopped to swallow around a suddenly dry throat, suddenly remembering Vegeta’s frantic call. “What happened, why was Gohan with you and Beerus?”
“What the hell do you think happened, what keeps fucking happening?! When I made myself able to bear children I didn’t know it would do this to me, make me no better than some… some cock-desperate slut, just begging for a fuck! I’ll use the Dragon Balls if I have to but I don’t want this anymore, I don’t want it!”
Goku’s thoughts raced. ‘What the hell is happening here?!’ Along with the lessons on how to cancel an attack Whis had given them a warning. Greater power than the original attack was required, and they most likely would not be able to match that strength. And yet they had, not once but twice. All that extra power had come from somewhere…
They were Saiyan, the answer was simple.
Rage. Distilled by their blood, and a lot of it to boot.
And the rage that had fueled their sudden strength had been Vegeta’s. It had made them a force even Beerus couldn’t reckon with. But now that it was out he could no longer control it.
Vegeta had been in heat without relief for far too long. The increasing pain from it, the exhilaration of the battle, the stress of Freeza’s near-rape and whatever had happened with Beerus and the resulting dirty feeling of unwanted touch had all piled on and taken their toll. He was too on edge and couldn’t think past wanting to fight or somehow scour himself raw, and the new power within him flared dangerously in response to his self-destructive thoughts.
“You don’t mean that,” Goku answered sadly. “You just need me-”
“I’ve never needed anyone before, and now I need you to protect me as though I’m… I’m useless! I was strong but now, now-” He clutched at his chest, gasping. “It hurts to be alone! Why the fuck do I have to need you so badly… I want to go back to the way I was, I want this change Undone!” Vegeta thundered.
The Earth shook under his feet from the force of his shout and brought sense back to him for just a moment. ‘What the hell am I doing?!’ He would not risk blowing up his children’s home on accident. Vegeta willed his body and mind to shut up just long enough for one Transmission, far, far away to a planet uninhabited by sentient life. He hung in the air a mile or so in the air and it was as he remembered it - as Freeza had left it - though the ruined city in the distance had been mostly reclaimed by the orange-tinted flora of this world.
Even though he was completely stunned by Vegeta’s explosion of fury Goku was only a few seconds behind him and Vegeta’s heart sped up as he appeared, ready to fight for what he wanted if Goku opposed his wishes. Goku’s eyes seemed darker than usual from their decisive victory over a god and his barely-contained lust. The brief clarity he’d gained left him, and dread gripped his heart in response. He was so tired of seeing that look, so tired of the hell that came with it. Goku was no different. He’d made it clear he wanted more children, wanted him weak again. Then he could do as he pleased and there was no telling what Goku would do to him then. He was just like the rest.
“Don’t you dare touch me!” he snarled.
Goku watched in awe as energy fired off of Vegeta in long bursts of dark purple lightning that ripped tears through the ground far below them. Goku took a chance on Vegeta’s instability and managed to push his way into Vegeta’s mind. Vegeta shoved him out again almost immediately but it was long enough to confirm his suspicions.
It was as he thought, he’d been instantly bombarded with all the outrage, fury and pain Vegeta was always so desperate to shield him from. And the overriding thought now was that he needed to undo the change that had made him able to bear young or no matter how strong he became he would forever be a target.
Forever be a victim.
Deep inside Goku something stirred, judged what was happening and Goku did his best to ignore its conclusions, desperate for words that would somehow make everything all right again. “Look at us, Vegeta. Really feel how strong we’ve become. No one will ever be able to touch you without permission again.”
A violent shudder rocked that smaller frame and Goku winced in sympathy. “I’ve thought that before. I was wrong then, and you could be wrong now!”
“It’s been so long… You don’t remember, do you?”
“...What?”
It was there again, that feeling that demanded he stop talking and just act. Once again he balked, afraid of pushing too hard, of finding out that he truly was just another tyrant in Vegeta’s eyes. “Before Beerus, before Golden Freeza, before Gohan. There was you and there was me, and a camp by a stream where you changed everything by trusting me. Everything we wanted, everything we’re trying to build… I can’t let you give that up!”
“You can’t… let me… WHY?! There is nothing but degradation in this!” Vegeta’s arms wrapped around his midsection, screaming in unfocused rage as his power began to spike even further and Goku was genuinely afraid that he could and would damage himself beyond repair.
Changing his body, making himself able to bear children had made him a victim, causing him pain and putting him at someone else’s mercy too often. He needed to remember the pleasure in it, remember why he’d done it in the first place. Goku watched Vegeta’s tail alternately lash about him angrily and twist its enticing dance, unconsciously betraying his wildly fluctuating emotions.
The time for words had passed. They were Saiyan and his mate needed him.
“If you don’t remember,” Goku’s eyes narrowed. “Then I’ll remind you.”
He crossed the space between them faster than he’d ever moved before. Just the force of his fist connecting with Vegeta’s jaw produced a shockwave that tore a crack in the earth. Vegeta recovered quickly enough, staring at him wide-eyed. Before he could wrap his brain around what was happening Goku disappeared, and an impact to his midsection sent him hurtling toward the ground before he could react.
When the dust cleared Vegeta looked up to see Goku floating above him a few feet in the air, dark eyes full of desire and memories of another time began to jar themselves loose in Vegeta’s mind. “...Kakarot…?”
Goku dropped to the ground, straddling Vegeta’s waist as he watched in wide-eyed disbelief. He remembered their first encounter, how he’d let Goku fuck him and the pain it had brought him, though the pleasure remained a distant irrelevancy. Goku reached a hand out toward him and all Vegeta saw was another hand, more touch, more agony. Everything in him raged and said ‘fight.’ Fight being controlled, fight being touched, fight or be destroyed again, fight.
He roared and exploded in unfocused power and Goku grit his teeth riding out the pain of the attack, knowing it was only a fraction of what his mate was going through. Don’t Fight Me!
With a sharp intake of breath Vegeta’s attack stopped as abruptly as it had begun. The remaining shreds of Goku’s clothing smoldered and smoked, filling his nostrils as he caught his breath.
Sharp, dark eyes glared up at him betraying fury but Goku ignored it, knowing what he had to do. His eyes flared back just shy of being feral and lightning fast his hand was wrapped around Vegeta’s throat. He wasn’t squeezing, just holding and Vegeta arched into it with a shuddering gasp.
Goku’s other hand couldn’t stay away, stroking overheated skin and pinching a sensitive nipple lightly. As badly as he wanted to abandon this soothing seduction and bury himself in Vegeta’s amazing heat Goku knew he had to stay in control, just a little longer. That knowledge didn’t stop him from becoming impossibly harder as Vegeta bit his lip bloody in stifling a cry.
The prince’s hands clenched at his sides as he fought not to reach for him but Goku knew it would be a losing battle. He used his bulk to push Vegeta’s legs apart, shuddered as he pressed his eager length against his damp, cloth-covered opening. He rocked against Vegeta’s body trying to break down his resistance to him.
“That’s right,” he said softly in response to Vegeta’s shivering. “My touch feels good, it always has, it’s why you’ve always resisted everyone but me. You knew, from the first time we met that you wanted us to stand side by side and now thanks to you we finally have the chance. Vegeta, you protected our children and the Earth. You took care of me, kept me strong through all this and you were right, we couldn’t have taken Beerus down any other way. But now it’s time to do things my way. You know what I want.”
Vegeta stared at him in disbelief. “Do not force me to do this, I can’t!”
“I know, but we can. If I’m wrong and you still don’t feel safe I’ll bring you active Dragon Balls on a silver plate but… I’m not wrong Vegeta, I’m not. You told me once you cared more about what was good for me than what I wanted and it’s time for me to return the favor. Undo it. Now.” It was in Vegeta’s ears, over their bond and resonated through his soul and Vegeta knew exactly what he meant.
He answered Goku’s call without question, without hesitation. Goku placed a possessive hand on his stomach, feeling it as Vegeta removed the block keeping him from conceiving. He knew that for now Vegeta was just following his will but he still couldn’t help the growing excitement of knowing that what he most wanted was so close to being a reality.
But as he looked down into those wild, betrayed eyes, things changed for him. He knew he was doing only what he had to do to get Vegeta back. That once his mate remembered how good it had felt to have life growing in him and saw that he could trust Goku to take care of him and not abuse his weakness he’d feel safe again.
But this… this would cross a line he swore to himself he wouldn’t cross.
He thought he could do it, but found now that he couldn’t. He would have to find another way.
Goku rocked against Vegeta’s body a little harder. “Feel me, feel how badly I want to be inside you. And that’s just my body. Let me in Vegeta!”
Vegeta only gasped but there was an unmistakable and overwhelming sense of ‘no.’
He wouldn’t give in without a fight. Well then, they would fight. But Goku would choose the battlefield.
Growling, he reached into Vegeta’s pants, grasping his erection and stroking it slowly. Though Vegeta bucked hard into his touch he still wouldn’t give in. He wanted Vegeta to let go, to give in to what they both needed but those dark eyes flashed rage and pain beyond belief at him, nothing more.
“Fuck me, damn you! Get it over with!”
“No! Not until you want it!”
“‘Want’ has nothing to do with this,” Vegeta sneered, glad for the distraction. “Even if I could fight you I still need you. So take what you want from me, in the end that’s all there is!”
Goku’s heart dropped to the pit of his stomach. “Only ‘need?’ I thought… Vegeta, don’t you… want me?”
“No! Yes, I- What the fuck does it matter?!”
Goku growled angrily, grinding harder into him as if trying to force the answers out of his mate. “You’re stubborn as a brick; we’ve been through this. What you want matters to me!” He shifted onto his knees and pulled Vegeta’s still shivering body with him as he sat up. Vegeta’s fists clenched against his chest. “Vegeta. These things you’re saying, they’re not you! Let me back in, I don’t like being so far away from you, it hurts!”
The pain in Goku’s voice carried it through the through the darkness to the remaining shreds of Vegeta’s sanity. Goku was trying use him, keep him weak. So why would Goku need him? And why was he trying so hard to convince him like this? He couldn’t fight, Goku could just fuck him and be done with it but he wasn’t doing it. Was it just a trick? It made no sense…
Without thinking he opened himself just a little and immediately Goku was there. Vegeta? No wonder you can’t hear me, it’s so dark, there's so much rage… I can make it better, just hold on to me, please!
Vegeta didn’t need to be told twice, he held on as tightly as he could but the remaining tatters of his will just weren’t enough to contend with the storm of emotions raging in his mind, a storm decades in the making. Goku felt him slipping away again, resentment and anger taking hold again. He shouted frantically through their bond but he knew Vegeta couldn’t hear him anymore.
“Dammit,” he swore. Panic and sorrow pushed him to his breaking point and he remembered how much Vegeta hated seeing him sad so he didn’t try to hide his pain in the hopes of getting through to him again. “Look at me, Vegeta. No, look at me!” he yelled when his mate growled and tried to pull away.
All of this hurt far worse than any hit Beerus had landed and it he let it show, finding encouragement in Vegeta’s sharp intake of breath. “I would die for you, kill for you and I haven’t done enough?! What more do I need to do Vegeta? How else can I prove to you how much you mean to me?! Just tell me and I’ll do it, I’ll do anything! I love you Vegeta!”
“That’s… that’s not-” Vegeta stopped, shuddered and moaned as Goku’s distress finally broke through to him and gave Goku the connection he needed. Blood roared in Goku’s ears as he was abruptly, finally dragged into Vegeta’s turmoil. The strange alien landscape around them disappeared and he was plunged into hated, permeating darkness so much worse than he’d felt the day they’d bonded, and so terrible he screamed out wordlessly as he was pulled into it, sinking further and further, so far that he was afraid it would never end.
And then, it ended as quickly as it had begun. The deafening sound of his own screams echoed in the silence that followed, and he heard a faint gasping breath as soon as the echoes died away. He followed the sound curiously, cautiously as it was the only thing he could see or hear. It led him step by fumbling step deeper and deeper into that impossible darkness. After walking for what seemed like an eternity he hit something that felt like a wall until he reached out and felt that it was a door. It seemed to have no handle but somehow Goku knew how to get it open.
“Vegeta?” he whispered, pressing himself fully against the door. He felt it give a little but it didn’t open, so he spoke from the heart. “I miss you. I hate being alone, too. Please.”
After a long moment the door creaked open and Goku walked in, blinking at the sudden harshness of the light. ‘An… apartment?’ The door shut noisily behind him, but before he could worry about getting out again that same raspy breathing came again. Goku followed it, his skin crawling as he made his way through the living room and kitchen. He passed a large hole in one of the interior walls and paused to look through it.
More holes in the walls, ki burns all over the bed and floor… It would have been easy to mistake the wreck of a room for the scene of some brutal and bloody battle, were it not for the torn shreds of clothing, and the scent of sex that was heavy in the air. His stomach roiled, but that sound caught his attention again and he left the awful mess behind.
Another closed door at the end of the hallway, and Goku’s heart threatened to erupt out of his chest as he tried the handle.
Locked.
Once again he pressed himself to the door, trying to form words but failing out of fear. That in itself seemed to be enough though. With a ‘click’ the door opened to the source of that labored breathing.
As the first door did it too closed behind him after he’d entered but it no longer concerned him.
The bathroom was large, tiled and had only one prominent feature, a large shower area with short, raised walls. He approached it, stepping over the barrier and at first he didn’t recognize the small, wet and naked boy lying facedown in a heap on the floor of the shower. Or maybe, more likely, he just didn’t want to recognize any of these awful things.
Perhaps sensing his arrival the boy’s muscles twitched as he tried to wedge himself further into the corner but he simply couldn’t move properly, managing only to flail slightly. His efforts only served to aggravate his injuries - both visible and not - causing a fresh stream of blood and semen to run down his thighs and dribble sluggishly toward the drain, not far from the mess he’d already thrown up.
“No, it can’t be…”
Somehow the boy found the strength to roll his head to the side and dark, eyes full of fury and pain peered up at him. Goku’s heart dropped to his stomach and he fell limply to his knees.
“Oh gods Vegeta…” he breathed. “You never left here. You never had a chance, did you?”
Those hard, untrusting eyes narrowed. Goku saw the swelling and discoloration in his jaw and remembered how badly Zarbon had broken his jaw, and how he’d done it. Vegeta couldn’t speak.
He forced what he hoped was a reassuring smile onto his face instead of the endless tears he wanted to shed.
You can talk to me like this, I’ll hear you.
A flash of the boy that had been reached Goku, sudden intense curiosity filling his eyes. //You’re… Saiyan? Like me? Where’s your tail? Did it get broken like mine?//
That appendage that gave Vegeta so much pride and pleasure lay still and lifeless, bent at odd angles and it struck Goku to the core. “No, I… lost mine in battle a long time ago. Now, please. Do you know me?”
Those eyes held his own, a flicker of hope appearing in them. //Of course I do. I thought you’d never come. I’m fed up with this half-life of being… useless. Even if I’m judged unworthy I just want this to be over. I’m ready to go.//
‘Unworthy?’ “Vegeta? Who do you think I am?”
//You’re the Messenger, here to take me to the After Realm. I’m finally being allowed to die. How else could you have found me here?//
Only then did Goku understand who he was speaking to. This child didn’t have the knowledge and experience of his adult mate. He had been horrifically abused and robbed of everything save his pride, his pain and his rage, then left here - as far as he knew - to die. Part of Vegeta - his Vegeta - had never been able to leave this place, this pain. ‘But why? I thought he’d moved on from this!’
“No, no, you’re not dead, I- I’m… someone who wants to help you. My name is Goku. ...Does that… sound like something you could say?”
//Why in the world would I? That’s no type of name for a Saiyan warrior!//
Despite the situation Goku smiled at the indignation in the thought. He was still Vegeta, after all.
‘Oh well. It was worth a shot.’ “Vegeta, you can’t stay here any longer.” He heard a quiet sound and got the sense of laughter too bitter for a boy as young as this.
//I can’t leave here, I’ve tried. Sometimes… I feel stronger; I can move a little. I’ve managed to drag myself to the door a few times, but whenever I make any progress I just end up right back here. And I’m always… hurt. Worse than before.//
‘Hurt worse?’ Goku studied the small, broken body and saw the claw marks and blood steadily trickling from the corner of his mouth from some internal injury, his wrists badly discolored and bruised to the bone - wounds he knew that first attack hadn’t caused. There was something to that and Goku struggled to put the pieces together, knowing how much depended on what happened here in this small corner of his mate’s mind.
‘He felt stronger after he backed Zarbon and Ginyu down, but then Freeza started in on him… He felt stronger after he told me about his past and I didn’t turn my back on him but then Gohan attacked him. So…’
“Did you give up after the last time you ended up back where you started?”
Vegeta’s eyebrows furrowed. //No, I… I felt stronger a while after that, strong enough to stand even. I’d forgotten how good it felt to just walk… So I tried one more time.//
Goku breathed a sigh of relief knowing without a doubt that strength had come from their bonding. ‘So I am good for you, at the least. I just didn’t go deep enough when we bonded.’ “Don’t stop there, keep talking.” Vegeta went hesitantly on, clearly not seeing the point of this exercise but lonely enough to enjoy even this uncertain company.
//It didn’t last. The room started changing the closer I got to the door until it was crushing me, there was so much pressure I couldn’t breathe. It didn’t let up but I didn’t stop until I noticed the door getting farther and farther away the closer I got to it. Eventually I had to turn around and go back. I… got even weaker after that.//
“This place, everything that happened here… it just keeps dragging you back,” Goku murmured under his breath. Clearly Beerus’ treatment of him and Freeza’s jarring return had thrown him right back to the beginning, right back to where he’d begun. It explained why he’d been pulling away over the last few months. ‘All the while he was trying to be strong for me, shoving all this down and staying in control because he knew how out of control I felt.’
Now that he could finally see the bigger picture Goku could have kicked himself for ever thinking Vegeta had somehow gotten past all this trauma. He never coped with any of it, he just dropped it in a deep hole and buried it because without Goku’s help that was all he knew how to do.
“I think I understand, Vegeta. I can help you get out of here.”
Vegeta proved he could give that derisive snort Goku knew so well even through a badly broken jaw. //Even if I could leave, what’s the point? I have no purpose. My people are dead, all of them and vengeance is beyond my capabilities, if you haven’t noticed. Look at me! I’m no good to anyone now. No one will want me. I keep waiting to die, but… it seems not even death will have me.//
Heart breaking, Goku reached out unthinking and Vegeta flinched, eyes screwing shut. //No more! Keep away from me!//
“I just want to help you Vegeta,” he soothed through the lump in his throat, backing off again with a great effort.
//You’re lying. No one helps anyone. You just want to hurt me like they did.//
Not at all. I’m telling the truth, you can feel it, can’t you? I l- ah, I care for you Vegeta. Deeply.
//Don’t mock me. You’re not even real, just some delusion I’m conjuring because I’ve finally lost my mind. Besides… even if you were real, you don’t even know me.//
“I’m very real, and I do know you, I do understand you. After all this time I finally understand you. You can leave here with me.”
//I told you, I’ve tried! It never works.//
“That’s because you’ve never had help before. I’m not giving up. Vegeta, you-”
//Enough, it’s pointless! Leave me to my punishment!//
‘Punishment…?’ “You think this is justice? For what?” Goku demanded, suddenly angry. “What could you have possibly done that was so horrible you were sentenced to this hellhole for decades?!”
Vegeta looked away, flushing in shame. //...He touched me. One of the ones who attacked me. He touched me, and I… I wanted him to do it. I liked it. I didn’t want him to stop. I was… to be King of my people, you understand. A true king would never have had such a foolish weakness. There is something... wrong... with me.//
Goku swallowed around the sudden lump in his throat. More than the beatings, more than the rapes he’d endured this was the moment that had crippled him. When in an instant of exhaustion and fear he’d accepted the touch of someone who’d meant him ill. The fact that he’d wanted such a soft thing, unworthy of a hardened warrior had been crime enough. That he’d not seen Zarbon’s ill intent had in Vegeta’s eyes been the truly unforgivable sin of the entire ordeal.
Before speaking again Goku took a brief moment to curse the universe at large for being the place where a child could so easily accept blame for being the victim of such extreme violence.
“What Zarbon did to you, the way he treated you was… was horrible. It was his sickness, not your weakness, I swear that’s the truth. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to touch someone else, or wanting them to touch you.” He stopped for a moment, thinking. Then he changed tactics, remembering how vulnerable his mate was to his kindness. “I can show you. May I? May I touch you, Vegeta?”
It was sheer idiocy that Vegeta didn’t immediately tell this stranger to fuck right off. But there was something familiar about him, something that made him want to trust, at least a little. It made no sense. Even so, he found himself considering. //Why… why are you asking? I can’t stop you.//
I know you can’t. Which makes the asking even more important. May I?
//...Just touch? Not like-//
“No, not like Zarbon, nothing that ends in torture. I’m Saiyan like you, remember? And you are a child. You can trust that if nothing else.”
He held his breath until Vegeta assented. He was so injured, so broken there really wasn’t anyplace Goku could touch without causing at least a little pain, but this was still Vegeta after all. He didn’t complain about being in pain, especially when it came to Goku.
He slowly scooted closer and reached out, seeing Vegeta’s muscles jump in trepidation at his approach. Goku felt their stiffness under his hand as he started to gently stroke that bruised and gouged back. It always relaxed his mate and now was no exception. Goku smiled to see Vegeta’s eyes slowly drifting shut, tense muscles gradually relaxing.
Vegeta couldn’t really understand what was happening. He’d forgotten that he was capable of experiencing anything other than pain after so long, but this man’s hand on his back felt so good, how did it feel so good? Zarbon and Ginyu had seemed to take immense pleasure from violating his body the way they had. This ‘Goku’ could do those same things to him, but he wasn’t doing it, even seemed appalled by the thought. Could it truly be that Goku only wanted to help him?
Careening thoughts slowly gave way to stillness and he simply drifted for a time, lulled by the light patterns Goku was drawing on his back with his hand.
“Isn’t this why you decided to find a mate?” he heard Goku murmur softly. “So you could have someone who accepted you? Someone you could take care of, someone you could trust so you’d never be alone again?”
Vegeta’s eyes snapped open in shock. //How did you- How do you know all these things about me, things I’ve never told anyone?//
“That doesn’t matter now.” I’ll be your mate, Vegeta. I’ll never make you do anything that harms you, and we can protect each other. Vegeta eyed him, dubious but clearly desperate to believe him. Uncertainty and disbelief shook that steadfast mental voice when Goku heard it again.
//...Is this a joke? I couldn’t even fight them off, I couldn’t… Look at what I let them do to me! I’m too weak. I can’t protect you, I don’t know how to care for you. I can’t even leave here! I can’t do anything for you. Having a mate was just nonsense, just a pipe dream. You don’t deserve to be stuck with me, no one does.//
“There’s so much you do for me. I’m not whole without you. Watch,” Goku smiled. He closed his eyes and transformed into his Super Saiyan state. Vegeta’s eyes widened, his shock and longing plain.
//You’re a Super Saiyan!?//
“Yes, and you will be too. Vegeta, I never would have achieved this form if it weren’t for you. So, see? I’m really strong. I can protect us both until you feel stronger, and you are strong, Vegeta. I know this is a lot to process all at once, but all I’m asking you to do right now is take my hand. That’s all, just take my hand.”
Goku reached out and Vegeta watched him like a hawk for any other movement. //And if I say no? Will you… leave me?//
“Do you want me to?” Vegeta flushed and Goku couldn’t help a small smile. “I didn’t think so. We leave here together or not at all.”
For a long time Vegeta just watched him warily and Goku stayed still, arm outstretched and unmoving to show that he really would stay there as long as it took, just as he’d done once before. Finally with an intense effort that left his small body shaking with renewed pain and exertion Vegeta reached out.
A shock jolted them both as Goku took that small hand in his own. Vegeta blinked, a familiar awareness entering his eyes though his body remained that of a broken child. A short bark of relieved laughter left Goku’s lips.
//Kakarot…? What’s… No, you shouldn’t be here, it’s not safe!!//
“I don’t care,” Goku said with all the stubbornness seemingly inherent to his race. I’d rather be in danger where you are than be safe where you’re not. Whatever it takes, I don’t care. I’m not leaving here without you.”

Next up: The truth will either set Goku and Vegeta free, or entrap them forever.
ZeoViolet: You are fast! Yeah, I’m going to shoot for a week for the next chapter, that’s one hell of a cliffhanger. And we have indeed installed cheese dispensers throughout the house in the hopes that the roving calcium will stop the broken bones. XD As for Whis trying to get the Omni-King’s help, I don’t know who was King before Zeno but Zeno seems to be just as amoral as Beerus and Champa… am I remembering right that he destroyed six universes for some nonsense reason, like he was throwing a hissy fit or something? Yeah, he’s just a kid, but that’s an imperial shit-ton of death for no reason; even though he seemed to take Beerus and Champa to task I still doubt Whis would have trusted that he'd help the situation, at least that was my thinking on it, I hope that helps!
TristaML: Getting better, thank you! Just a couple more weeks and it'll be twice as easy to type 'Vegeta' again (left pointer hits three of the six letters, lol!). It’s funny, I’m glad you’re hanging in with the twists and turns, sometimes I swear I don’t even know what’s going to happen when I start typing. Brutal cliffhanger this round, but I’m going to try and update in a week instead of two this time, I know even with regular updates the serial format can be a killer for readers! Thank you for hanging in there, I think (hope!) the resolution will be worth it.
Dragon77: I’m glad you’re enjoying the story, thanks for taking the time to read it, really. I can’t believe how long it’s gotten!
Candice: Glad to see you and I’m glad you’re still enjoying reading this, thank you! :D
