Heero looked at the journal and left the building, not going far acroacross the street so that he can read it out of curiosity.
Once settled down on the bench, Heero opened to the first page of the book and found out that it did indeed belong to Duo.
September 12th, A.C. 195
I can\'t believe that I am writing in this stupid thing Wufei gave me! He told me that if I took the time to write my thoughts down, then maybe I would not have to talk so much.
No offense though, but right now I do feel a sense of peace. Hey maybe he is right! I do feel a tingly feeling to be writing all my thoughts down. Hey I will be back to write in you. I got to go do some heavy duty upgrades on my buddy death there.
Heero chuckled at how blunt Duo was with his words as well as his talking.
September 21st, A.C. 195
Hey I am back again. I am really happy today. You know that Heero said more than nine words to me today? Gods I really love him to death. I still remember the time where I meet him at the docks and that stupid girl what\'s her face was there. I\'m scared that one day he would leave after the war and then I will never see him again. I wanted to tell him how I feel but then I\'m scared of losing him if he does not feel the same.
\'Oh Duo.... You would never have lost me\' Heero thought as he read on.
January 22nd, A.C. 196
I have been recovering from my capture from the OZ\'s. They got me good this time. I\'m so afraid to go back to the others. I feel weak and useless to have been captured like that.
I am staying with Howard right now. Well it was him that saved me in the first place. I could never bring to tell the other\'s about my secret especially Heero, but then I think they would be jumping up with joy when they heard what I have to say. Or what I don\'t.
I will tell only you my secret though.
\'What secret is he talking about!\' Heero thought as he read on getting more curious by the second.
February 20th, A.C. 196
Howard did it! He saved me from my sanity! I can\'t believe he and his brilliance could help even me and the deep problems that I have.
I\'ve loved Howard like a father I never had. And now I think I love him even more. I really don\'t know what to say to repay him. Now I could go back and see the other\'s especially Heero. It has been so lonely without him. And just before I don\'t think I have another chance to tell him how much he means to me. I will tell him today.
Heero smiled at remembering that day when Duo came to him and kissed him. It was a small and short kiss, but it meant a lot to Heero because it showed how much Duo cared about him to not push him too far and that day Heero would remember.
March 2nd, A.C. 196
Oh my god! This is like the first date that Heero has taken me to! I am so happy that no matter what happens, it could never destroy today and how special it means to me. Though I did not tell Heero that I love him. I did not want to scare him away just in case he was not ready for the words. I will wait forever for that boy and die for him anytime.
\'I love you too Duo and I still do\' Heero thought to himself.
Heero flipped to the next page to see that it was blank. He quickly knew why. The seem lines in the book has shown that this page was ripped out by someone and Heero had every intention in finding out what that page said. He stood up and entered the apartment building again in search of the old landlord. He did not have to go far for she was standing at the foot of the stairs.
\"What happene the the last page of the book?!\" Heero demanded the old lady.
\"I ripped it out\" she said calmly.
\"And why did you do that?\" Heero asked.
\"Because if I didn\'t you would never have come back to hear the rest of the story now would you?\" she said.
\"What story?\" Heero said, just wanting to get that last page of the book back so that he could preservet wat was left of the missing pilot at the moment.
\"The story I had told the whole group of people before was not just a meekly a story. I was a true story, but not entirely because I had to change the names and bend the rules of story telling\" the old lady said.
\"What are you talking about?\" Heero asked.
\"My dear boy, you sill have not gotten the hint that in the story I was talking about you and your lover?\" she said.
\"Explain\" Heero said not willing to let himself take in this information just yet until he had put the story together.
The old lady sighed and patted the seat on the stairs right next to her.
\"Please sit. It will be a long story,\" She said.
Heero nodded and sat down next to her.
\"The day you left was a day I will never forget. The whole floor heard you yelling and the door slamming shut as well as the shattering noise of a broken heart. Your lover Duo came by to my place to tell me that he would be moving out and before he got the woout,out, he broke down in tears telling me that you left him. I tried to comfort him but all he could do was babble about the time\'s me met you and so on. I thought that he had gone insane from the grief. Until I heard the amazing life story this boy told me I thought I would go insane too if I lived his life.
As you probably read in the journal that Duo your lover was keeping a secret from you...It was just for the better of you not knowing\" she said.
\"Please tell me what this secret is! I must know\" Heero said.
\"That I shall for I could not hold such guilt in my soul for not telling the one that he loves\" she said. \"The truth is that Duo could not talk. Like in the story I told. The stars were the OZ\'s. They ruined his life and Howard; the person Duo said was like a father to him was Wind. You understand that day when you walked out on Duo he could not tell you he love you was not because he didn\'t, no that boy loved you very much. It is the fact that he could not talk without the help of his moon.\" The landlord said.
\"What are you talking about! The moon? What is this moon you keep on talking about?\" Heero asked getting agitated at this point.
\"This is the moon she was talking about\" someone said from behind Heero.
Heero turned around to see what the new comer was, but was surprised to see Pagan, Relena\'s butler.
\"Ah...Pagan my friend I am so happy that you have come\" the landlord said to Pagan.
\"What is the meaning to this! What does Pagan have to do with this?\" Heero asked.
\"Pagan is a really good friend of mine during the times of war. We were partners at a point and good friends. I think that you will find all the answers you seek from him. I have told you enough,\" the landlord said. \"I think I will go rest and leave you two alone\" and with that the landlord retired to her room yet again, but this time Heero doubt she will be coming out to answer any questions.
\"So what is this moon you are talking about?\" Heero asked.
\"This is the moon that Duo could not part with,\" Pagan said holding up the cross.
