Buu opened his eyes with a snap.
What the hell was that?
Slowly Buu pulled himself into a
sitting position on the couch.
He looked around the large living
room carefully. It didn’t seem like anything was wrong. But something had
defiantly tapped…well more like slammed though his senses. It was familiar…he
just couldn’t think why. Where had he felt that before?
Buu stood up and made an elaborate
ritual of stretching.
He then yawned widely, stretching
his jaw impossibly wide.
Suddenly he stiffened.
He dropped down into a more
careful, thus combat ready crouch. He smelled something…someone.
On instinct he reached out with his
senses…and stopped cold.
Alysa wasn’t upstairs. He couldn’t
sense her.
But…where would she go. Surely she
hadn’t run off while he was relaxing.
No that wasn’t possible…he would
have sensed her, or at the very least heard her leave.
Besides…that didn’t explain the
strange scent.
Snorting loudly Buu followed his
nose though the house. Trying to locate the scent…or at least where the bearer
of that scent had been.
He was lead into the bedroom Buu
had dropped Alysa off in.
He slowly opened the door. Although
he knew what he find.
An empty bedroom.
The scent was definitely stronger
in here.
Buu went to the open (!) window and
looked down. He could see some bushes…those were the bushes by the porch swing.
Even from the second story window Buu could make out where the ground had been
disturbed.
Someone had been here.
Buu leaned out to look at the side
of the house. There was only one way a person could get to this window from
down there. They had to fly.
So that meant someone from the
earths special forces had taken Alysa.
To his knowledge they were the only
ones that knew how to fly on this dirty ball.
Buu closed his eyes and tried to
remember.
He remembered the Green man…the
Namek.
Buu sorted though the smells he
remembered. It was hard…he hadn’t paid much attention to what smells belonged
to what person.
A flash of gold.
Yes that was it.
Buu opened his eyes…they were cold
and hard.
Now that he thought about it…there
had been something that bothered him about that one. He had been to busy
worrying about the strong one to dwell on it.
He couldn’t sense a ki from that
one.
The one with blonde hair.
Yes the scent matched…
So…that blonde one must have been
hiding in the bushes. He couldn’t sense her thus he hadn’t known she was there.
Buu vividly remembered feeling uneasy, as he had come in. Its seemed like
nothing at the time…but now.
So she had been hiding…then she
took Alysa.
With a savage growl Buu shot out of
the building. He didn’t care that in doing so he destroyed at least half of the
house. Below him the ground cracked and shifted from the sheer power of his
flight.
In his sheer rage as he passed over
a city, he sent a ki ball at it. He laughed evilly as the land glowed white and
then disappeared. He didn’t stick around to watch but if he had he would have
seen nothing but a huge crater when the smoke and dust disappeared. He did this
to every city or town he passed on his way toward the lookout!
He was done waiting.
He would demand his fight…and
demand Alysa back.
No one stole from Majin Buu!!
Piccolo stepped back in pure fear.
Sweat poured in cold drops down his green skin.
Majin Buu was coming.
He could sense him coming toward
them at a fast pace. He was also destroying everything in his path.
So…Buu was finally acting like they
had expected him to. But now what? They still had several hours until Buu was
supposed to come.
Piccolo gritted his teeth in anger.
They had no choice. Hopefully Goten and Trunks were now strong enough to defeat
him.
Piccolo: Dende…go get Trunks and
Goten out of the time chamber. Buu’s coming back early.
Dende’s eyes widened as he to felt
the horrible power unleashed on earth. He could hear the thousands upon
millions of humans screaming to him to save them. But against Buu Dende had no
power. He could do nothing but save a few that Fate allowed.
With a quick nod her all out and
ran toward the chamber.
The small group of card players
looked up again…this time fear written in the faces of those who could sense
ki’s.
Bulma: What’s going on you guys?
Yamcha: He’s…coming back.
Marilyn started to cry and buried
her golden head into her mother’s chest. 18 comforted her the best she could.
Her face was drawn and worried.
Yamcha: Why…why is he coming now?
We still have almost half the day!
18 looked away sharply. And
although no one voiced their thoughts as to why, and no one even looked her
way…18 knew.
She must have pissed him off when she
took his kill.
She looked down at Marilyn. What
could she possibly do?
Now because of her soft heart Buu
was coming early and would kill them all.
18 pressed her daughter closer to
her and whispered in her mind how very sorry she was. Sorry that her beloved
daughter wouldn’t live to grow old, or have kids someday…or even see the next
sunrise.
Killian: Guys…we have to settle
down. Have faith in Goten and Trunks.
Hopefully they got a lot stronger in the time chamber.
Bulma: Of course they got stronger!
They are the son’s of Goku and Vegeta. They will tear Buu apart!
Yamcha: ya…you’re right! Buu can’t
defend against the Fusion!
Alysa had just come out of the
bedroom in time to pick up the last of the conversation.
Alysa took a step back in surprise.
What was Fusion? And who was Goten
and Trunks?
They hadn’t noticed her yet so she
took the opportunity to study them.
She was surprised…what was Yamcha
the baseball player doing here? She didn’t recognize the old man…or the short
one. The little girl had to be 18’s by the way she was clinging to her.
Alysa frowned. Majin Buu was angry.
She didn’t know how she knew that. She just did. He was angry enough to kill
them, even the little girl. Buu wouldn’t have a problem with that.
They took us here. They brought
it upon themselves. Don’t worry about it.
Alysa shook her head annoyed at the
voice. She did worry about it. These people had tried to help her. The three
women, Bulma, 18 and Videl had been so kind to her. They had taken her here
because they thought Buu was going to kill her.
They want to kill Majin Buu…they
even think they have a warrior strong enough to do it. They are Buu’s
enemies…thus they are ours as well.
Alysa chewed her nail unsure what
to do. Her other half told her to just retreat back to her bedroom and wait it
out. She wouldn’t even have to see them die.
Buu was coming.
Alysa shook her head and tried
stuffed the voice away. She blinked shocked that it actually worked. Before the
voice had power…she could even take over her body.
Alysa smiled…whatever her other
half had done to get Buu’s attention had made it easier to control her.
Although she was able to talk ‘clearer’ and influence her that way…if Alysa
didn’t want to listen. She didn’t have to anymore.
Bet she didn’t expect that! Alysa
would decide what to do on her own.
Videl: Alysa?
The group turned in surprise toward
her.
She smiled weakly and waved her
hand slightly at them.
Alysa: Hi…so Buu’s coming here?
Bulma: Looks like you woke up in
time for the…party.
Bulma’s face was white. She looked
really scared. She chewed on her bottom lip and hugged herself as if something
was eating her one the inside.
Bulma: I CAN’T STAND IT! I DON’T
WANT MY SON TO FIGHT THAT MONSTER!! HE’S JUST A LITTLE BOY. HE’S NOT SUPPOSED
TO FIGHT!!
Yamcha: Bulma!
Bulma: I already lost Vegeta…I
don’t want to lose my son to!
Alysa stared in surprise. Bulma
really did love her son. She was more worried about him than her own safety.
Was this what a mother was suppose
to be like.
She glanced over to 18. The short
man was huddled in closely with her and the little girl. The little girl was
crying.
Was that what a father was supposed
to be like.
Alysa could actual sense the love
and friendship these people shared. So very different from everyone else he had
ever met.
Alysa looked down at her hands. She
closed them into a fist.
She had wanted to get Buu’s
attention…but not at the expense of these people lives.
Suddenly a loud and rough voice
echoed though the area.
Piccolo: Heads up he’s here.
It was true. Alysa turned and was
about to call out when someone grabbed her and pushed her behind him.
It was Yamcha the baseball player.
Yamcha: Don’t worry. We’ll protect
you…the best we can.
Alysa: No wait you don’t
understand!
No one was listening to her. She
huffed but stood back and waited for her chance. Hopefully it would be before
Buu killed anyone.
Piccolo tried to calm his racing
heart without any luck. Majin Buu was here at last. And this time Piccolo knew
he wouldn’t be able to hold him back. Buu wanted to fight.
Buu wanted to kill. And from the
look in his eyes Piccolo suspected that they were going to die real soon.
Suddenly Buu looked up. Piccolo
followed his glaze and froze. Dende was running along the balcony toward the
chamber. NO…Buu had seen him!
SHIT!
Piccolo: DENDE LOOK OUT!
Buu smiled and lifted his hand. A
white beam shot out of his hand and hit Dende. The young Namek spun around fell
like a brick.
Piccolo tensed.
Dende NO!
Searching quickly Piccolo sighed in
relief. Dende wasn’t dead. He was only injured.
His eyes narrowed as he focused his
attention on Buu once again. Buu lifted a finger and waved it at him slowly.
Buu: Ah ah ah…no use running now.
And no use trying to talk for more time either. I’m done waiting.
Piccolo took a step back. No Goten
and Trunks were still in the chamber. They didn’t know they were needed.
Buu: Now you die!
Piccolo ducked down into a fighting
stance but it was to late.
He didn’t even see Buu move as
Piccolo felt a large hand grab his head.
Piccolo: SPECIAL BEAM CANNON FIRE!
Piccolo gasped in horror as him
strongest move merely passed though the monster.
Whatever minor damage it did was
healed in an instant.
Piccolo felt instead of saw Buu’s
other hand grabbed him. This time Buu grabbed his lower jaw. For one terrifying
moment he wondered what Buu planed to do. That moment didn’t last long as he
felt Buu’s muscles contract.
Piccolo screamed as with the
slightest of ease Buu ripped his lower jaw from his face.
Blood squirted into all directs.
Piccolo suddenly saw only white as
hot lancing pain shot though his head. Sparkles explored and a terrible fire
burned on his face. Kami it hurt so bad he couldn’t think.
Piccolo fell as Buu let him go.
He dropped to the ground with a
thud. His cape billowed in the wind for a moment then laid down across his
prone body.
He could hear Buu laughing at him.
But he just couldn’t do anything about it. It hurt too much to move. Piccolo
closed his eyes and tried to force himself to stand up.
He fell back to the ground.
He opened his eyes a little…just in
time to see Buu drop his jaw. It fell beside him with a strange squishing
sound. He could see bones and muscle tissue hanging on the tore edges.
Buu stepped in Piccolo’s line of
sight. He watched in drawing horror as Buu lifted one of those boots. What was
he going to do?
Piccolo didn’t even manage to
scream as Buu slammed his foot onto Picollo’s neck. Just below the brain stem.
Picollo gasped…and fell silent.
The others looked in horror as the
strongest of them died without even a fight.
Buu lifted his foot, which had the
splattered debris of one Namek on it. He growled and then dragged his foot on
the ground to try and clean it.
Oolong turned green and puked.
Buu looked toward them and smiled.
Once again he moved so fast no one
saw him move. But suddenly he was there.
With a fist as large as his victims
head Buu slammed it into the face of Master Roshi.
The old mans face was crushed with
a sickening crack and his brains exploded out the back of his skull from the
sheer force of the blow.
He was dead before he hit the
ground.
Before anyone knew what happened
Buu turned and attacked the next closest human. Well pig…he picked up Oolong
over his head and with on hand on the poor pigs head and the other griped firmly
on his feet Buu tugged violently and ripped him down the middle. Buu then swung
the pieces around and dropped them.
Blood and viscera fell from the sky
briefly, and pitter pattered on the ground like rain
Buu screeched in triumph and
attacked again. This time it was Yamcha.
Yamcha’s eyes widened when he made
out barely a whirl of pink heading toward him.
Suddenly he jerked…blood spilling
out of his mouth.
Buu stepped back with a hand full
of entrails. He opened his hand and they fell to the ground with a splat.
Blood and guts gushed out of the
now gapping hole in Yamcha’s middle. Reaching up Buu grabbed the young mans arm
and tugged hard. Muscles and tendons, bones and veins stretched impossibly long
before the arm snapped. Buu violently ripped the arm from Yamcha’s body.
Blood sprayed over everyone close
to the stricken man.
Then using the human’s own arm Buu
slammed it against his head.
The baseball player’s head was
instantly caved in.
In the suddenly silence they could
hear him fall to the ground with a thump.
By this time Bulma managed to
scream.
Buu reached for her…
Alysa: BUU STOP!
And Alysa placed herself between
them her arms outstretched.
Everyone gasped in surprise when
Buu actually did stop.
He straightened from his attack and
looked down at her frowning.
Blood from his latest kill trickled
down his face and shoulders.
Killian: Alysa! Get back!
Buu glanced at Killian…the short
man jerked back his entire body shaking.
Killian as well as everyone else
blinked in confusion when Buu ignored him and looked back down at the girl.
He made no move to kill her.
18 moved slowly so that she was
beside Killian. She whispered low…
18: What is going on? What is Buu
doing?
Alysa closed her eyes and took a
deep breath. Now came the hard part. To convince Buu not to kill them.
Buu: Buu Please…leave them alone
for now.
Alysa knew better than to say
forever. But maybe he could forget about them for a little while.
Buu frowned deeper and tilted his
head to the side thinking.
Buu turned slowly and walked off
still deep in thought. Alysa sighed deeply.
Bulma: Alysa? What’s going on?
Alysa’s forehead wrinkled in
concern. She looked away…and at the bodies of Bulma’s friends. How could she
tell Bulma that Buu was he friend? She would think she was horrible. It
hurt…these people didn’t deserve this. They were good people who loved their
kids and their friends. She didn’t want them to hate her.
But she could not abandon Buu. He
had saved her life.
Alysa: Buu won’t hurt me.
Killian: What do you mean he won’t
hurt you?
Alysa felt tears starting to swell
up. She blinked and forced them back. She would be strong…she was strong. She
won’t make any excuses. Buu was her friend it was that simply.
Alysa: Buu is my friend.
She turned to look at them, daring anyone
to say something about it.
Bulma: WHAT! You’re friends with
that monster!
Alysa: He saved my life!
Alysa took a step back from their
unbelieving faces.
Alysa: Don’t look at me like that
I’m trying to save your lives!
Bulma flushed bright red and looked
down ashamed.
Bulma: I’m sorry Alysa. It’s just…
She loobackback at the destroyed
bodies of her friends.
Alysa nodded in understanding. For
a silent moment they all watched Buu. Looking for any sign that he was going to
kill them.
Alysa: I think Buu will let you go.
Bulma: How can you tell?
Alysa nodded toward Buu.
Alysa: He’s frowning.
Killian: And that’s a good thing?
Frowning means he’s not happy right? What good can come from Buu being angry?!
Alysa looked over at the short man.
She smiled sadly…the weariness in her glaze pieced his heart.
Alysa: Ya…but that’s a good thing
for you. He smiles when he’s about to kill.
18: And you would know this how?
18 hadn’t missed the look the girl
had given her husband. She wasn’t telling them something. 18 suspected there
was more to this ‘friendship’ than she was letting on. She even doubted it was
a friendship. So what if Buu saved her life. That didn’t make him her friend.
The girl whitened slightly and
looked away. She didn’t answer the question. Suddenly 18 knew what was going
on. She nodded…so that was his game.
18: I see…so what does he do. Make
you watch when he kills? Maybe even help out! Have you killed because of him?
Bulma gasped.
Bulma: 18 that’s horrible leave her
alone.
18: but I’m right aren’t I.
Alysa refused to look at her.
Alysa: yes.
Even Bulma had nothing to say at
this. She was to shocked that Buu would do such a thing. Killing and torturing
was one thing…but to mess with this girl like that. What kind of terrible
horrors had she seen? She didn’t look like a killer. Had she…had she really
killed?
The girl suddenly turned around.
There was a strange light in her eyes that Bulma found disturbing…maybe even
frightening.
Alysa: They all deserved it. They
deserved what they got!
Bulma took a step back. She then
placed a hand on the young girls shoulder. So young…too young to have to go
though what she was now.
Bulma: Honey…no one dese tha that
monster.
Alysa visually jerked as if dealt a
blow from Bulma’s soft-spoken comment. Tears well up in her eyes. They shone
like two emeralds.
Alysa: I know…
Her voice dropped to a whisper.
Alysa: but if I don’t tell
myself…make myself believe that they did…then, then what will I do? It hurts
too much.
Alysa dropped to her knee’s heavily
great sobs racking her slim shoulders.
Both Bulma and Videl instantly were
by her side. After a moment even 18 knelt beside her.
Bulma: I’m sorry Alysa…
Buu had been having fun. The Namek
had been fun, despite the fact that he had dirtied his shoe. He had loved the
sound of his racing heart and the taste of his fear. It had been awesome to
feel his neck crack and split under him.
The others hadn’t been as fun but
they were entertaining. Buu suspected they were to shocked to really put up a
good fight.
And then as suddenly as his fun
started…it ended.
Truth be told he hadn’t even
realized Alysa was with them. He assumed she was still knocked out and thus out
of the way.
So he had been surprised when she
had put herself between him and his target.
Buu growled annoyed. Why couldn’t
he kill that damn girl? She was starting to really get on his nerves. She asked
him not to kill them…and he was going to do as she asked.
He shouldn’t listen to her. He
should just kill them all and then go find the strong one.
Buu cursed the soft one. The one
that continued…even now to whisper to him.
Absently Buu wiped some of the
blood off his chest and arm. That last one…Yamcha was his name had been messy.
Buu liked blood…but not on him. It tended to smell funny after a while, and it
was uncomfortably sticky.
What should he do about that girl?
She was a weakness. She was his weakness. Just as Hercule was a weakness.
Buu growled annoyed. Why did the
fat one have to be so…kindhearted…and so stubborn? He had lost the fight. Why
couldn’t he just sit back and let the new Majin Buu do things as he willed.
Buu glanced over toward the small
group of humans.
Alysa was talking to them.
A flash of blonde caught his eye.
Buu turned slightly so he could get a better view.
Yes that was her…
He concentrated…trying with all his
might to sense that woman.
But…he felt nothing, absolutely
nothing.
How in the hell did she do that?
Even when someone suppressed their Ki, he should be about to feel something.
His nostrils flared as he tried to
catch her scent.
She smelled human…sort of. There
was a strange different feel to her scent.
Well she wouldn’t be able to sneak
up on him anymore. He would be on guard for that scent for now on. And if he
caught her anywhere near him or Alysa again…well not even Alysa’s begging would
stop him from tearing her limb from limb.
He watched as Alysa fell to the
ground. Even from here he could hear her crying.
Buu sighed deeply. He better get
this over with or she might start crying even harder.
Buu made his way toward the group.
They were all so concerned for the
crying human that they didn’t notice him.
Buu grunted annoyed. How the hell
could they miss a 12 foot pink monster that had just killed four of their
friends less than five minutes ago?
Humans…they really were stupid.
Killian: Uh guys…
Bulma looked up and gasped. Her and
the other jumped to their feet instantly.
Alysa looked up at him…her tears
for the moment gone.
Buu nodded as his frown deepened
and she smiled slightly.
Alysa turned and hugged Bulma
lightly and whispered in her ear.
Alysa: I won’t say I hope your
fighter is strong enough to defeat Buu…but I will wish you luck.
Everyone blinked in stunned silence
as Alysa ran openly up to Buu.
He looked down at her for a moment
then without a word swung her onto his back and left.
It was over just like that.
Killian: What in the hell just
happened?
Bulma looked over at 18. 18 met her
eyes and then looked away. She held Marilyn tightly.
Bulma: We were given a second
chance.

voice. She did worry about it. These people had tried to help her. The three
women, Bulma, 18 and Videl had been so kind to her. They had taken her here
because they thought Buu was going to kill her.
They want to kill Majin Buu…they
even think they have a warrior strong enough to do it. They are Buu’s
enemies…thus they are ours as well.
Alysa chewed her nail unsure what
to do. Her other half told her to just retreat back to her bedroom and wait it
out. She wouldn’t even have to see them die.
Buu was coming.
Alysa shook her head and tried
stuffed the voice away. She blinked shocked that it actually worked. Before the
voice had power…she could even take over her body.
Alysa smiled…whatever her other
half had done to get Buu’s attention had made it easier to control her.
Although she was able to talk ‘clearer’ and influence her that way…if Alysa
didn’t want to listen. She didn’t have to anymore.
Bet she didn’t expect that! Alysa
would decide what to do on her own.
Videl: Alysa?
The group turned in surprise toward
her.
She smiled weakly and waved her
hand slightly at them.
Alysa: Hi…so Buu’s coming here?
Bulma: Looks like you woke up in
time for the…party.
Bulma’s face was white. She looked
really scared. She chewed on her bottom lip and hugged herself as if something
was eating her one the inside.
Bulma: I CAN’T STAND IT! I DON’T
WANT MY SON TO FIGHT THAT MONSTER!! HE’S JUST A LITTLE BOY. HE’S NOT SUPPOSED
TO FIGHT!!
Yamcha: Bulma!
Bulma: I already lost Vegeta…I
don’t want to lose my son to!
Alysa stared in surprise. Bulma
really did love her son. She was more worried about him than her own safety.
Was this what a mother was suppose
to be like.
She glanced over to 18. The short
man was huddled in closely with her and the little girl. The little girl was
crying.
Was that what a father was supposed
to be like.
Alysa could actual sense the love
and friendship these people shared. So very different from everyone else he had
ever met.
Alysa looked down at her hands. She
closed them into a fist.
She had wanted to get Buu’s
attention…but not at the expense of these people lives.
Suddenly a loud and rough voice
echoed though the area.
Piccolo: Heads up he’s here.
It was true. Alysa turned and was
about to call out when someone grabbed her and pushed her behind him.
It was Yamcha the baseball player.
Yamcha: Don’t worry. We’ll protect
you…the best we can.
Alysa: No wait you don’t
understand!
No one was listening to her. She
huffed but stood back and waited for her chance. Hopefully it would be before
Buu killed anyone.
Piccolo tried to calm his racing
heart without any luck. Majin Buu was here at last. And this time Piccolo knew
he wouldn’t be able to hold him back. Buu wanted to fight.
Buu wanted to kill. And from the
look in his eyes Piccolo suspected that they were going to die real soon.
Suddenly Buu looked up. Piccolo
followed his glaze and froze. Dende was running along the balcony toward the
chamber. NO…Buu had seen him!
SHIT!
Piccolo: DENDE LOOK OUT!
Buu smiled and lifted his hand. A
white beam shot out of his hand and hit Dende. The young Namek spun around fell
like a brick.
Piccolo tensed.
Dende NO!
Searching quickly Piccolo sighed in
relief. Dende wasn’t dead. He was only injured.
His eyes narrowed as he focused his
attention on Buu once again. Buu lifted a finger and waved it at him slowly.
Buu: Ah ah ah…no use running now.
And no use trying to talk for more time either. I’m done waiting.
Piccolo took a step back. No Goten
and Trunks were still in the chamber. They didn’t know they were needed.
Buu: Now you die!
Piccolo ducked down into a fighting
stance but it was to late.
He didn’t even see Buu move as
Piccolo felt a large hand grab his head.
Piccolo: SPECIAL BEAM CANNON FIRE!
Piccolo gasped in horror as him
strongest move merely passed though the monster.
Whatever minor damage it did was
healed in an instant.
Piccolo felt instead of saw Buu’s
other hand grabbed him. This time Buu grabbed his lower jaw. For one terrifying
moment he wondered what Buu planed to do. That moment didn’t last long as he
felt Buu’s muscles contract.
Piccolo screamed as with the
slightest of ease Buu ripped his lower jaw from his face.
Blood squirted into all directs.
Piccolo suddenly saw only white as
hot lancing pain shot though his head. Sparkles explored and a terrible fire
burned on his face. Kami it hurt so bad he couldn’t think.
Piccolo fell as Buu let him go.
He dropped to the ground with a
thud. His cape billowed in the wind for a moment then laid down across his
prone body.
He could hear Buu laughing at him.
But he just couldn’t do anything about it. It hurt too much to move. Piccolo
closed his eyes and tried to force himself to stand up.
He fell back to the ground.
He opened his eyes a little…just in
time to see Buu drop his jaw. It fell beside him with a strange squishing
sound. He could see bones and muscle tissue hanging on the tore edges.
Buu stepped in Piccolo’s line of
sight. He watched in drawing horror as Buu lifted one of those boots. What was
he going to do?
Piccolo didn’t even manage to
scream as Buu slammed his foot onto Picollo’s neck. Just below the brain stem.
Picollo gasped…and fell silent.
The others looked in horror as the
strongest of them died without even a fight.
Buu lifted his foot, which had the
splattered debris of one Namek on it. He growled and then dragged his foot on
the ground to try and clean it.
Oolong turned green and puked.
Buu looked toward them and smiled.
Once again he moved so fast no one
saw him move. But suddenly he was there.
With a fist as large as his victims
head Buu slammed it into the face of Master Roshi.
The old mans face was crushed with
a sickening crack and his brains exploded out the back of his skull from the
sheer force of the blow.
He was dead before he hit the
ground.
Before anyone knew what happened
Buu turned and attacked the next closest human. Well pig…he picked up Oolong
over his head and with on hand on the poor pigs head and the other griped firmly
on his feet Buu tugged violently and ripped him down the middle. Buu then swung
the pieces around and dropped them.
Blood and viscera fell from the sky
briefly, and pitter pattered on the ground like rain
Buu screeched in triumph and
attacked again. This time it was Yamcha.
Yamcha’s eyes widened when he made
out barely a whirl of pink heading toward him.
Suddenly he jerked…blood spilling
out of his mouth.
Buu stepped back with a hand full
of entrails. He opened his hand and they fell to the ground with a splat.
Blood and guts gushed out of the
now gapping hole in Yamcha’s middle. Reaching up Buu grabbed the young mans arm
and tugged hard. Muscles and tendons, bones and veins stretched impossibly long
before the arm snapped. Buu violently ripped the arm from Yamcha’s body.
Blood sprayed over everyone close
to the stricken man.
Then using the human’s own arm Buu
slammed it against his head.
The baseball player’s head was
instantly caved in.
In the suddenly silence they could
hear him fall to the ground with a thump.
By this time Bulma managed to
scream.
Buu reached for her…
Alysa: BUU STOP!
And Alysa placed herself between
them her arms outstretched.
Everyone gasped in surprise when
Buu actually did stop.
He straightened from his attack and
looked down at her frowning.
Blood from his latest kill trickled
down his face and shoulders.
Killian: Alysa! Get back!
Buu glanced at Killian…the short
man jerked back his entire body shaking.
Killian as well as everyone else
blinked in confusion when Buu ignored him and looked back down at the girl.
He made no move to kill her.
18 moved slowly so that she was
beside Killian. She whispered low…
18: What is going on? What is Buu
doing?
Alysa closed her eyes and took a
deep breath. Now came the hard part. To convince Buu not to kill them.
Buu: Buu Please…leave them alone
for now.
Alysa knew better than to say
forever. But maybe he could forget about them for a little while.
Buu frowned deeper and tilted his
head to the side thinking.
Buu turned slowly and walked off
still deep in thought. Alysa sighed deeply.
Bulma: Alysa? What’s going on?
Alysa’s forehead wrinkled in
concern. She looked away…and at the bodies of Bulma’s friends. How could she
tell Bulma that Buu was he friend? She would think she was horrible. It
hurt…these people didn’t deserve this. They were good people who loved their
kids and their friends. She didn’t want them to hate her.
But she could not abandon Buu. He
had saved her life.
Alysa: Buu won’t hurt me.
Killian: What do you mean he won’t
hurt you?
Alysa felt tears starting to swell
up. She blinked and forced them back. She would be strong…she was strong. She
won’t make any excuses. Buu was her friend it was that simply.
Alysa: Buu is my friend.
She turned to look at them, daring anyone
to say something about it.
Bulma: WHAT! You’re friends with
that monster!
Alysa: He saved my life!
Alysa took a step back from their
unbelieving faces.
Alysa: Don’t look at me like that
I’m trying to save your lives!
Bulma flushed bright red and looked
down ashamed.
Bulma: I’m sorry Alysa. It’s just…
She loobackback at the destroyed
bodies of her friends.
Alysa nodded in understanding. For
a silent moment they all watched Buu. Looking for any sign that he was going to
kill them.
Alysa: I think Buu will let you go.
Bulma: How can you tell?
Alysa nodded toward Buu.
Alysa: He’s frowning.
Killian: And that’s a good thing?
Frowning means he’s not happy right? What good can come from Buu being angry?!
Alysa looked over at the short man.
She smiled sadly…the weariness in her glaze pieced his heart.
Alysa: Ya…but that’s a good thing
for you. He smiles when he’s about to kill.
18: And you would know this how?
18 hadn’t missed the look the girl
had given her husband. She wasn’t telling them something. 18 suspected there
was more to this ‘friendship’ than she was letting on. She even doubted it was
a friendship. So what if Buu saved her life. That didn’t make him her friend.
The girl whitened slightly and
looked away. She didn’t answer the question. Suddenly 18 knew what was going
on. She nodded…so that was his game.
18: I see…so what does he do. Make
you watch when he kills? Maybe even help out! Have you killed because of him?
Bulma gasped.
Bulma: 18 that’s horrible leave her
alone.
18: but I’m right aren’t I.
Alysa refused to look at her.
Alysa: yes.
Even Bulma had nothing to say at
this. She was to shocked that Buu would do such a thing. Killing and torturing
was one thing…but to mess with this girl like that. What kind of terrible
horrors had she seen? She didn’t look like a killer. Had she…had she really
killed?
The girl suddenly turned around.
There was a strange light in her eyes that Bulma found disturbing…maybe even
frightening.
Alysa: They all deserved it. They
deserved what they got!
Bulma took a step back. She then
placed a hand on the young girls shoulder. So young…too young to have to go
though what she was now.
Bulma: Honey…no one dese tha that
monster.
Alysa visually jerked as if dealt a
blow from Bulma’s soft-spoken comment. Tears well up in her eyes. They shone
like two emeralds.
Alysa: I know…
Her voice dropped to a whisper.
Alysa: but if I don’t tell
myself…make myself believe that they did…then, then what will I do? It hurts
too much.
Alysa dropped to her knee’s heavily
great sobs racking her slim shoulders.
Both Bulma and Videl instantly were
by her side. After a moment even 18 knelt beside her.
Bulma: I’m sorry Alysa…
Buu had been having fun. The Namek
had been fun, despite the fact that he had dirtied his shoe. He had loved the
sound of his racing heart and the taste of his fear. It had been awesome to
feel his neck crack and split under him.
The others hadn’t been as fun but
they were entertaining. Buu suspected they were to shocked to really put up a
good fight.
And then as suddenly as his fun
started…it ended.
Truth be told he hadn’t even
realized Alysa was with them. He assumed she was still knocked out and thus out
of the way.
So he had been surprised when she
had put herself between him and his target.
Buu growled annoyed. Why couldn’t
he kill that damn girl? She was starting to really get on his nerves. She asked
him not to kill them…and he was going to do as she asked.
He shouldn’t listen to her. He
should just kill them all and then go find the strong one.
Buu cursed the soft one. The one
that continued…even now to whisper to him.
Absently Buu wiped some of the
blood off his chest and arm. That last one…Yamcha was his name had been messy.
Buu liked blood…but not on him. It tended to smell funny after a while, and it
was uncomfortably sticky.
What should he do about that girl?
She was a weakness. She was his weakness. Just as Hercule was a weakness.
Buu growled annoyed. Why did the
fat one have to be so…kindhearted…and so stubborn? He had lost the fight. Why
couldn’t he just sit back and let the new Majin Buu do things as he willed.
Buu glanced over toward the small
group of humans.
Alysa was talking to them.
A flash of blonde caught his eye.
Buu turned slightly so he could get a better view.
Yes that was her…
He concentrated…trying with all his
might to sense that woman.
But…he felt nothing, absolutely
nothing.
How in the hell did she do that?
Even when someone suppressed their Ki, he should be about to feel something.
His nostrils flared as he tried to
catch her scent.
She smelled human…sort of. There
was a strange different feel to her scent.
Well she wouldn’t be able to sneak
up on him anymore. He would be on guard for that scent for now on. And if he
caught her anywhere near him or Alysa again…well not even Alysa’s begging would
stop him from tearing her limb from limb.
He watched as Alysa fell to the
ground. Even from here he could hear her crying.
Buu sighed deeply. He better get
this over with or she might start crying even harder.
Buu made his way toward the group.
They were all so concerned for the
crying human that they didn’t notice him.
Buu grunted annoyed. How the hell
could they miss a 12 foot pink monster that had just killed four of their
friends less than five minutes ago?
Humans…they really were stupid.
Killian: Uh guys…
Bulma looked up and gasped. Her and
the other jumped to their feet instantly.
Alysa looked up at him…her tears
for the moment gone.
Buu nodded as his frown deepened
and she smiled slightly.
Alysa turned and hugged Bulma
lightly and whispered in her ear.
Alysa: I won’t say I hope your
fighter is strong enough to defeat Buu…but I will wish you luck.
Everyone blinked in stunned silence
as Alysa ran openly up to Buu.
He looked down at her for a moment
then without a word swung her onto his back and left.
It was over just like that.
Killian: What in the hell just
happened?
Bulma looked over at 18. 18 met her
eyes and then looked away. She held Marilyn tightly.
Bulma: We were given a second
chance.
