Chapter 3: Sparing partners

‘You know what, let’s do something, I accept only if you give me your name.’ The woman thinks for a while. ‘What is it? Is your name so ugly that you don’t w ant to say it.’ ‘No, is not that! Just that is to easy for you. Let’s make it a little more….interesting, of you dare of course.’ Says the no name lady. ‘You don’t know with who you’re dealing it, but go, speak up.’ ‘Only of you can stand be my spare partner for a month, something thadoubdoubt it. And along with my name, I’ll answer you three personal questions that you want to ask me, only three. What did you say? You’ll have more information for your beloved king.’

Vegeta was stunned; she doesn’t have idea that he is in deed the king! This was his opportunity to get all what he needs to know. ‘Ok, I’ll accept, but I need to ask you this, yesterday you were no word for me and suddenly, you became a good speaker with me. Why you want me as your spare partner, huh? Is something that I said or missed?’ she turns her back to him and after a deep breathe, she answers. ‘By the way that you attacked to that one on the showers, by your small dimensions, you are quite strong, maybe enough to handle me like a minute or two. Simple.’ ‘Oh, I see.’

‘In that case, the training room is in this way, let’s go. I’ll take a bath there then we can start. I can trust you or not?’ ‘As I said before, my honor and my law are first. And law number one of the honor warrior is always saying the truth.’ Then they continue completely silent until they get to the training room. It looks like a gym, with the difference that mostly of the exercise were of people fighting each other, and all the fighters stopped when the not so common couple entered. ‘Nappa, can you please watch for her while I finally take my bath?’ he asks with a growl by the way that they were watching her in the saiyan outfit.

Nappa nods as a ‘yes’ and while Vegeta was on the shower, Nappa starts to make his ‘moves’. ‘Say, why aren’t you in your cage, huh?’ ‘I’m here to spar with my custody, sir.’ She answers him trying to be the nicest way she could. ‘Oh, you came here to learn how to fight. We can show you while Vegeta is there.’ ‘Like you’re going to defeat me that easy.’ She answers in her normal arrogant tone. ‘So let’s see how you plead me to stop!’ ‘I never plead, I make my opponents too plea for it!’ ‘Let’s see now, do you?’

And then the woman fights Nappa, but he lasts a mere second before the woman breaks a few ribs and his knee with a kick. The big saiyan screams in pain while the rest runs to fight the foreigner saiyan. Almost all of them in the time that Vegeta comes out were unconscious or moaning in pain for all the punches received from her.

‘What happened here? Can you explain it?’ asks the king completely annoyed for the scene. ‘The big one challenged me! And I never say no to challenges!’ she said with her dry tone. ‘All right then, call the doctors to take them to the regeneration tank. The ones who can stay, stay. Being while, let’s begin.’ He said coldly, after seeing that it was true that they challenged her. Bardock appeared when someone screamed that the woman was on the royal training room and that Nappa and some of his friends were badly hurt by her. But when he reached to the scene, he saw that Vegeta was about to start to spare with the woman. ‘Vegeta! What are you going to do!’ ‘Taking dance lessons.’ He said in a dumb way. ‘Idiot, don’t you see that I’m going to spare with her, what else!’ ‘But don’t you see what she done to me, to the rest here?!’ he asks wondering that he didn’t see anything what happened. ‘That’s why I’m still here, right?’ that’s all that run through Bardock’s mind.

Then they started to spare, making look that they were equal. But evrytime they had their “advantage” and then continue in neutral format. all this was in his mind while fighting, but he wasn’t the only one. that’s was she was thinking in while sparing with Vegeta. After long 7 hours sparing, they finally called it a day. Both wanted more from the other, but it was time for another bath, dinner and bed.

This time both used the training room’s baths and then returned to the prison. They were quite relaxed and they talked almost anything, and Vegeta joked about how Nappa was hurt and the face of horror of Bardock when he saw them sparing. And the woman tried to hold her laugh. ‘Don’t be the strong one always.’ He told her ‘It was funny and is fair for you to laugh at it sometimes. After all, I think that he now is afraid of you.’ ‘And you weren’t when you saw them like I left them. You could end in that way too, you know.’ She pointed trying to change the subject, Vegeta caught it and decided to follow it. ‘yes, I know. But why you didn’t finished me in the moment we started. You could kill me in any moment, is a reality that you’re stronger that any man of this planet.’ ‘I made a promise, to not kill anyone of my race. I finally find what I am and don’t want to mess up it.’

‘I see, I though because you saw me as a friend.’ Vegeta, covers his mouth his thoughts were killing him for saying that. ‘Not now, is too soon. But you see to be a trustable one. Besides I have to see you for the next 3 years. I guess we have not choice to get along.’ ‘You’re right. I hope not to be a problem to you.’ ‘As long as youn’t n’t lie to me, is ok.’ She finished the conversation before she enters again to her cage and goes to sleep while Vegeta eats the two trays of dinner, again.
