A Growing Problem
Super Saiyan Vegeta blazed through the midmorning sky, flying a straight line towards Goku's house. The Prince halted in midair, however, as a familar energy signal lit up his mind.
"It's the half-blood", Vegeta growled to himself. "He could be troubf hef he gets in our way..." Hiding his energy signal, the Super Saiyan dove for the grassy clearing below, losing himself in the trees. Gohan flew overhead, barely registering Vegeta.
The Prince walked slowly through the forest. No need to draw attention to himself, especially not with the half-blood nearby. Suddenly, pain shot through Vegeta's mind. It was almost like he was... receiving...feelings.
"Aaarrggh!!" Vegeta clutched his head and fell to his knees, gasping. Beads of sweat dripped from his forehead. Collapsing onto his side, the Prince cried in pain again. "Why...is this...happening...?! I-it's Kakarot! I'm feeling...what Kakarot is...aahh!!"

Videl had awakened to find Gohan gone. Sighing longingly, she had dressed herself and was now leaving their special 'meeting' place in the forests outside of Hercule City. Videl stretched, relaxing in the sunlight filtering through the trees.As she closed her eyes, her ears picked up a faint scream. Instantly alert, Videl jumped up and raced towards the sound.

Videl stopped herself just short of running into the clearing the screams were coming from. Peering through the bushes, she saw the Super Saiyan Prince writhing in pain.
"That looks like one of Gohan's dad's friends.... Vegeta, I think?" Videl thought as she stepped into the clearing. "Hey, Mr. Vegeta? Are you alright?"
Vegeta's head snapped around, affixing Videl with a vicious s. It. It was a chilling predatory look, and Videl shivered under the force of Vegeta's stare. The Prince rose to his feet and stood still, continuing the stare.
Videl started backing away. Vegeta stood motionless, as if waiting for her to turn her back. Videl turn and sprinted away as fast as she could move. Her running was arrested when shining golden energy disks ensared her wrists and ankles, causing her to fall face-first to the forest floor. Another ring bound her mouth shut.
Vegeta appeared before her, a dark smirk on his face. Videl muffled out a partial question before Vegeta slid out of his bodysuit. Videl gasped in surprise at her captor's form. The Prince's body, she unconciously noted, was more sculpted than Gohan's, with a more rigid appearance overall.
Videl tried to protest as Vegeta forced her to her knees. By now, she knew what would happen, and she made one last attempt to reason with him. But, Vegeta was too far gone for reason now.

A spark lept across Gohan's mind. 'Vegeta's ki! He's a Super Saiyan now, so maybe he knows what's going on! Wait...he's near...VIDEL! I left her alone!' Gohan poured on the speed, racing through the sky. 'I hope she's not hurt...'

The golden energy fields crackled and danced around the warriors. Rocks and grass were torn from the ground, floating up through the sky. And, several hundred miles away, Goku sat up from the ledge of a mountain.
"So, there's where you've been, Vegeta..." The Saiyan took off into the sky, homing in on Gohan and Vegeta.
