Chapter 3. When In Russia...
Kai turned and watched as a large plane landed on the runway outside the airport. People rushed about with their bags either leaving or coming. He sighed and leaned back into his chair, listening to the intercom closely.
“Flight 28 to America is now boarding,” the announcer said.
Kai groaned. His flight had been delayed and they still didn’t know when it was going to arrive. The weather in Russia at the moment wasn’t to great. A snow storm had blown in during the night and stopped traffic dead. Everything was down, even the train, which was a rare occasion. Kai smirked, remembering the ‘fun’ he and Tala had had on the train heading to Russia during the championship break. It had broken down and they were the only two on it, excluding their teammates who had given them a bit of privacy to discuss strategies and ended up making love right there on the seat.
(Flashback)
Kai pushed Tala hard against the seat, fumbling with the redheads belt. Tala smirked down at him and ran his hands through Kai’s hair and placing his pale finger gently against his face. Kai looked up and smiled, undoing the belt fully and pulling the orange and white pants from his lover. Tala moaned from the cold air hitting his organ but moaned louder when Kai’s warm mouth engulfed him fully.
Shit... Kai,” Tala groaned.
Kai moved slowly, watching the boy above him with apprehensive eyes. Tala bucked his hips, wanting Kai to take him fully. He reached around for something to hold onto and found Kai’s hand, lacing their fingers together. He groaned and began to stiffen, feeling himself close to his climax. Before he could reach his limit, Kai pulled away, moving up and kissing Tala passionately.
“Kai... Just take me... already,” Tala groaned, the need for release to great.
“What’s the magic word?” Kai growled lustfully into his ear.
Tala could feel Kai shaking with the need to be in him and shivered at the feeling. As much as the phoenix wouldn’t have liked to admit it, he was holding back every anatomy of his being just to ask that question without burying himself within the wolf.
“Please,” Tala whispered.
Kai complied immediately, removing their clothes in a matter of minutes, coating his member and wrapping Tala’s legs around his hips, readying himself. In one, slow, pleasureful thrust, Kai was within Tala, shaking from the feel of having the wolf’s warm body wrapped around him in every aspect.
Tala shivered violently, biting his lip so he couldn’t moan. It’s not that he didn’t want to. He couldn’t. If the team heard, he and Kai would get an earful each about what they were doing and why they were doing it. He heard Kai whisper to him and opened his eyes, meeting deep orbs of worry and confusion.
“Your lip,” Kai whispered. “It’s bleeding.”
Tala felt that warm blood trickle into his mouth. He was surprised he had bit so hard. He knew Kai was good... and big... but not THAT big. He sighed and looked up into Kai’s eyes, seeing the slow emotions run through them. Kai only truly showed his emotions to Tala, making him feel special for being to close to him.
“It’s okay,” Tala whispered. “It doesn’t hurt.”
“Are you ready?” Kai asked, brushing a hand softly over Tala’s pale cheek.
Tala nodded and gripped onto Kai’s shoulders, waiting for his phoenix to move, but he didn’t. Tala looked up at Kai confused. He was caught of guard by the soft lips and a warm tongue running along his bottom lip, begging for entrance. Tala complied, allowing his red phoenix entrance. Kai explored every inch of the blue wolf’s mouth before moving his tongue to Tala’s, leaving the two muscles to dance together.
Tala was so occupied with the intimate kiss, he almost didn’t feel Kai pull out to the tip and then thrust back in. He tried to gasp from the pleasure, but the sound was muffled by their kiss. Kai moved again with slow, agonizing thrusts, touching the wolf’s prostate gently. Tala shuddered from the softness of what Kai was doing to him.
“Please... Kai... harder,” Tala croaked.
Kai smiled at his icy wolf and pulled out to the tip and again and slammed back in, making Tala’s scream catch in his throat. He aimed each time, hitting his target directly on with each skillful thrust. He felt himself coming close and grabbed Tala’s member in his hands, stroking in it time to his own the best he could. Tala clenched and both he and Kai came at the same time, Tala spilling his seed onto Kai’s chest and Kai deep within him.
Kai pulled out and Tala laid down across the seat, pulling Kai to lay behind him. Not one to complain, the red phoenix grabbed Tala’s coat from the ground and wrapped it over their bodies, placing his head on his lovers warm back.
“Who do we battle next?” Tala asked groggily.
“White Tigers,” Kai mumbled.
“Ready to kick some ass?” Tala asked, snickering gently.
“Hell yes,” Kai mumbled again.
Tala turned to face Kai and placed a soft kiss on his lips. Kai accepted, returning the kiss with equal softness. They separated for air and Kai trained butterfly kisses down Tala’s neck and back up to his lips, kissing hi softly.
(End Flashback)
Kai looked up just as a big man started yelling something muffled to a group of women behind the boarding desk, asking when his plane would arrive and saying he would sue the airport for delaying him so long. The women bowed nonstop, telling him they were sorry for the inconvenience. Kai sighed and leaned back in his seat, tipping his head to look out the large windows that watched the runways.
“The good old days,” Kai mumbled.
“Flight 42 from Russia now arriving. We apologize for the delay.”
Kai stood up from his seat and stretched his back, having been sitting for over four hours. He grabbed his travel bag and suitcase and headed for the boarding area. He placed his suitcase onto the scanner and walked through, picking it up on the other side. He boarded the plane and sat down in his seat, a woman immediately coming over to him.
“Can I get you a drink sir?” she asked.
“Vodka highball,” Kai mumbled.
The woman nodded and was off in an instant. Kai leaned back into his seat and sighed, watching as a large man in a business suit walked into the first class area and took a seat nearest the front. He pulled out a paper that had been suffocated somewhere under his large arm and snapped his fat purple fingers. The woman who had helped Kai earlier ran up quickly and the man took his order, shooing her away.
“Here is your drink sir,” she said, handing it to Kai before walking off.
The plane waited another fifteen minutes before finally shutting it’s doors and taking off. There were only ten people in the first class area, which surprised Kai, but he didn’t much care. He reached up to his travel bag and opened the compartment in the front, pulling out a folded piece of paper. He opened it and read the address.
44 Oakwood heights east, Moscow.
He and Tala had spoken once more before Kai had decided to pack things up and head off for the gym. Tala had called back when Kai was cleaning up the egg mess and told him his address, laughing over the phone about how he had forgotten. He had said it was alright and told Tala not to worry about out, only to be waiting for him when he arrived.
The stewardess who had offered him his drink returned. She picked up his glass and Kai nodded, knowing she was asking if he wanted another. She ran off and returned quickly, placing his drink down before running off to the big man in the front again. Kai glared at the man. He didn’t like him. He barked at the woman so the whole plane could hear him, making her do things when she could have been helping others.
The ride went as smoothly as it could, no including the big men yelling all the time, a woman trying to comfort her child behind Kai’s seat and a man hurling in front of him. In retrospect everything went fine from the moment Kai wasn’t on the plane. It began it’ slow decent, the cockpit pilot coming over the intercom.
“We are now entering into Moscow Russia, please secure your seatbelts.”
Kai did up his belt and leaned back into his seat, closing his eyes tiredly. His flight was at five in the morning, the earliest he could get it. He wanted to get back home as soon as possible to see Tala, see how he was.
‘Why was I so scared to call you,’ Kai wondered.
(Flashback)
Kai stood with Tala outside his apartment door, waiting for his taxi. They hadn’t spoken for hours, just looked at one another and smiled softly to each other. They had held hands in the elevator, but that was it.
Tala rocked back and forth on his feet, watching the ground. He looked up at the street, seeing if the taxi was anywhere near. When nothing showed, he looked back to the ground, his fingers playing with the strap of his pants.
“Tala...”
“Yes Kai?”
“I... I was wondering... would you like.... I mean...”
The taxi arrived and both boys looked away from one another. The driver popped the trunk and Tala walked around the back and dropped his bags in, watching Kai the whole time. He closed the trunk and moved to the back door, ready to open in. Kai’s hand moved to his and he looked up into loving orbs of crimson.
Tala smiled at Kai and released the handle, placing it over the phoenix’s cheek. Kai brushed his cheek over the hand, kissing Tala’s thumb which was running across his bottom lip. He pulled his wolf close and lowered his lips slowly, brushing them over Tala’s before deepening it, running his tongue over his bottom lips.
The separated, Tala’s eyes shining with happiness. He opened his travel bag and pulled out a notepad, scribbling something onto the paper, folding it and handing it to Kai with one last soft kiss. He opened the door to the cab and slid into his seat, giving out where he was heading. He looked back to Kai, his phoenix’s eyes brimming with sadness.
“Don’t forget,” Tala said, just as the taxi took off.
Kai’s hand shook, a small blue box clenched in his fist. He lifted it to his face and looked at it, growling angrily to himself.
‘I love you Tala, please stay with me... this is for you...’ Kai growled to himself.
He opened the box and looked at the two rings inside. He had them designed especially for himself and Tala. The band on one side a blue wolf and on the other a red phoenix. Each ring either held a red ruby or blue sapphire. Kai shut the lid and held the box close to his chest, a tear unconsciously rolling down his cheek.
‘Why couldn’t I do it?’ Kai thought.
(End Flashback)
Kai walked out of the terminal and out into the cold air of Moscow. He sniffed deeply, enjoying the cold sensation. He wrapped his jacket securely around his body and started walking toward a waiting black taxi near the edge of the block. He dropped his bags in the trunk and hoped in the back.
“44 Oakwood heights,” Kai said.
“That’s pretty far you know,” the cabby said.
“It’s where I need to go,” Kai mumbled out.
The cabby shrugged and pulled out of the loading dock, heading for the highway. Kai turned to look out his window, watching the large building race by. He watched as the colorful St. Basil’s Cathedral passed by. He smiled, memories of the tournament flashing by in his head. He turned away from the cathedral and looked down into one of the parks, young kids launching their beyblades and cheering on their friends.
“Definitely the good old days,” Kai mumbled.
The taxi stopped outside a large group of homes, reading the sign that said ‘Oakwood Heights.’ He turned to Kai who’s focus was on the large spruce and fur trees outside.
“Sorry kid, can’t go no further,” the cabby said. “Private properties.”
“I can walk,” Kai said.
He got out and grabbed his bags before walking around to the driver side of the cab and dropping some rubles into the mans waiting hands. The cab pulled away and Kai looked up at the large building of homes and apartments. He sighed, feeling his hands start to shake.
‘Calm down Kai, you’ll do fine,’ he told himself.
It was almost like someone was leading him to Tala’s place. He expected to get lost at least once, but didn’t He had found the large apartment building know as ‘Oakwood’ and walked inside, looking at the many buttons to notify the people upstairs their was a guest. Kai found 44 and pressed the button.
“Who is it?” that same familiar smooth voice said, washing over Kai.
For a moment Kai thought he had lost his voice, but was able to utter out his name. He heard a beep and reached for the door, pulling it open and walking inside. He skipped the elevator and walked up the stairs, knowing Tala was on the fourth floor. He looked own the long hallway and walked up to room 44, ready to knock.
‘What if he’s angry with me,’ Kai thought. ‘What if he’s going to throw me out and leave me to find my own place. My grandfather may have me well-off but he didn’t leave me that much money.’
Swallowing his pride, Kai knocked on the door quietly, stepping back almost to the wall and waiting for something to be thrown at him. No one answered. Kai glared at the door and knocked again, harder this time. He heard shuffling and the lock on the door come unlatched. The door opened slowly and Kai tried to swallow, but found his throat to be far to dry.
Tala opened the door fully and leaned against the frame, looking out at the handsome figure of his friend. He smirked and crossed his arms, just staring. It was like a contest, who would with without laughing first. Before either knew what had happened, they had thrown themselves at one another, lips meeting in a familiar, yet very passionate, kiss.
Kai ran his fingers through Tala’s flaming hair, feeling the heat coming from the boy. He felt Tala wrap his arms around his neck and pull his closer. He dropped his bags and wrapped muscled arms around Tala’s waist, pushing their bodies together. They both gasped into each others mouths, amazed they were both turned on already from a simple kiss. Taking the challenge of it, Kai ground his arousal against Tala’s making the boy moan and melt against him. They broke the kiss, gasping for air.
“Want to come in,” Tala asked, his voice thick with lust.
Kai merely nodded and picked up his bags, following Tala into his apartment and closing the door behind him. Tala shut the lock and turned around to face Kai, watching him as he dropped his bags by the couch and turned to his redheaded friend.
“I’ve missed you,” Tala croaked.
“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to kiss you like that,” Kai growled lustfully.
Tala walked forward and wrapped his arms around Kai’s neck, staring deep into his fogged eyes. He smirked and pressed their lips together gently, running their tongues together in a passionate dance that only they knew.
‘This time I’m going to do it,’ Kai said to himself. ‘This time I’m not going to leave you.’
