Bulma tossed Vegeta into the house by his ear. \"Get inside and sleep it off, you idiot!\" she snapped.
\"Idiot?\" Vegeta said, catching himself and trying to stand his ground. \"Did you just call me an idiot?\"

\"You heard me,\" Bulma said. \"And you deserve it. What are you thinking?\"

\"What does it matter?\" Vegeta snapped. \"I live my own life, I don\'t take orders from you!\"

\"Well that\'s for damn sure!\" Bulma yelled. \"And what about that girl sleeping in that room over there?\" she asked, pointing at Bra\'s room. \"If this gets out, how do you think it\'s going to affect her? Or your son, how is he going to feel about it?\"

Vegeta turned away from her; he didn\'t know how to answer.

Bulma grabbed Vegeta he ahe arm and drug him with her. \"You are not leaving my sight again, and whatever\'s wrong with you, you better be over it by morning!\" She pulled Vegeta into the bedroom and closed the door behind them. \"Now go to bed!\"

Vegeta jerked his arm away from Bulma and turned his back to her. \"And what if I refuse?\"

\"Vegeta, you can be such a brat sometimes!\" Bulma\'s muffled voice yelled.

Vegeta peeked over his shoulder and saw Bulma pull her shirt over her head and toss it on the floor. As he watched, she slipped her shoes and pants off and climbed into bed.

Another wave of heat flooded over Vegeta as he watched Bulma wrap the blankets around herself. He became aroused and wanted nothing more than to climb into bed next to Bulma and make love to her. He tossed aside his jeans then pulled back the blankets and slipped in next to Bulma.

Vegeta gently unhooked Bulma\'s bra and slid it off her shoulders. Bulma stirred and half turned to him. \"What are you doing?\"

\"I don\'t know why you hide that gorgeous body from me.\" Vegeta sighed and slid his thumbs inside the waistband of her underwear.

Bulma sensed his intentions. \"Oh no, you don\'t,\" she said. She roughly pushed him away. \"After how you\'ve acted tonight? You\'ll be lucky if you get anything from me for a month.\"

Vegeta grew angry and rolled on top of Bulma. \"You forget who is the master here!\" he snarled. \"I am Vegeta, Prince of the Saiya-jin; no human woman denies my will.\"

\"Stubborn ass!\" Bulma growled. She pulled herself out from underneath Vegeta and climbed out of bed. \"What is wrong with you?\" she snapped.

\"There\'s nothing wrong with me,\" Vegeta snapped back. \"The only thing wrong is that I have a mate who doesn\'t know how to obey me.\" He stood on the opposite side of the bed and glared at her.

\"Obey you?\" Bulma said. \"I am not your slave, Vegeta, I am your wife!\"

\"And on Planet Vegeta, you would have been dead long ago for being so flippant to me,\" Vegeta snapped back. He jumped out of bed. \"I\'ll find someone else to make time with.\" Vegeta grabbed his jeans and strode toward the door.

\"You\'re not going anywhere!\" Bulma shouted. She ran ahead of him and blocked the door.

Vegeta pushed her aside. \"I really don\'t see anyone who can stop me,\" he said with a frosty voice. He walked out the door; a moment later, Bulma heard the front door slam.

Bulma sat on the bed and wrapped a blanket around herself. She wept bitterly, and wondered what made Vegeta act like that. A soft knock on her door made her look up. Trunks was standing in the doorway.

\"Mom? Are you all right? Dad didn\'t hurt you, did he?\"

Bulma tried unsuccessfully to force a smile. \"No, he didn\'t. But he\'s been acting strange, and I made him angry. It may be a while before he comes back.\"

Trunks turned to look at the front door. \"Wouldn\'t be the first time,\" he muttered aloud. He looked back in at his mother, huddled in the blanket. Trunks walked in and stood next to her. \"Try to sleep mom,\" he said quietly. \"I won\'t help to make yourself sick with worry and lack of sleep.\" He gently pushed her shoulders down onto her pillows and pulled another blanket over her.

Bulma smiled up at Trunks. \"Thank you, son,\" she said. \"I only wish your father was more like you.\"

Trunks walked out and pulled the bedroom door closed behind him. Vegeta was a fool, he thought, to risk losing a woman as beautiful and kind as his mother. He started for his own room and stopped. He decided that Vegeta was not going to hurt his mother again by leaving for days or weeks on end and making her wonder. Trunks turned and left the house, picking up Vegeta\'s trail along the way. He flew off into the night following it.

Trunks found Vegeta a little way from the house, angrily pounding on a boulder lying alongside the road. With every blow, more cracks appeared, until it had cracked fully into dust. Then it collapsed, and Vegeta looked up.

Trunks dove down and threw Vegeta to the ground. \"What\'s your problem now?\" he demanded. \"Did mom make the bed not to your liking?\"

\"Why don\'t you mind your own business, brat?\" Vegeta snarled. He stood up and dusted himself off.

\"It is my business when mom gets so upset like she is,\" Trunks said. \"Do you have any idea how much you hurt her when you take off like this?\"

\"It would have been worse if I had stayed!\" Vegeta shouted. \"Would you rather I had raped your mother? I had to get out of the house before I seriously hurt her.\"

\"What are you talking about?\" Trunks asked suspiciously. \"You have more self-control than that. I think you\'re just being an ass because mom thinks for herself.\"

Vegeta ground his teeth. \"You\'ll understand when it hits you, which should be any time now. Don\'t come crying to me when you start aching.\" He powered up and took off.

Trunks snarled and followed him. \"What are you talking about?\" he called. But Vegeta was already out of sight.
