Rei stared at the scene, his mind refusing to take in the information that his senses were desperately trying to relay. Bryan Kuznetsov, world class beyblader, member of the Demolition Boys, was spitting in rage or madness at his teammates. Rei could hear harsh words spew from his mouth, curses in English and what he could presume were curses in Russian. He was desperately trying to throw off Spencer and Tala who was already sporting a vicious looking red mark across his cheek and chin.
Ian let out a yell of triumph and leapt over a fallen chest of drawers and its strewn contents, he handed Kai a bottle of clear liquid and a syringe. Kai barked something in Russian and Tala immediately shifted pulling one of Bryan’s arms out spread and holding it steady even as it’s owner thrashed even more. Kai plunged the syringe into the bottle and drew out the liquid inside. Checking the amount in the instrument he then placed it against Bryan’s pale and sweaty skin. As he pushed it in and pressed Bryan’s eyes finally met Rei’s.
The cold icy glare made Rei’s heart freeze. He found he couldn’t take his eyes away from the teen. He saw the thin lips lift up into a hateful sneer. The lilac eyes narrowed.
“Kon.”
Rei stumbled as he heard his name and Bryan roared finally throwing off his teammates and delivering Kai a punch. He turned and began to crawl towards Rei, who in his fright moved backward until his back met the cool and solid wall. He watched in horror as Bryan made it to the doorway, eyes still fixed on Rei. Then as he proceeded to move from the doorway he stopped.
Rei assumed that one of the others had finally got a hold of him but a quick glance told him that was not the case. The others were also fixated on Bryan yet were still well inside the room. Honey eyes shifted back to the lilac haired Russian whose eyes remained fixed on him. Bryan sneered once more before falling flat on his face, hands reaching out to the neko.
After a few seconds had passed and Rei was sure that the teen wasn’t going to move again his tensed body slowly began to relax, a gasp of air releasing itself from his lungs. He was vaguely aware that he was shaking but he couldn’t care less. His eyes fixed themselves on the one who had brought him here. The crimson eyed blader was proceeding to pull up Tala, Spencer was heading over to Bryan, sparing Rei a single look that said ‘You’re in the wrong place’ he simply hoisted the unconscious teen over his shoulder and moved him to the bed.
Tala turned his bruising face towards Rei for the first time, cerulean eyes doing a quick calculations before whipping back to Kai. He hissed something in Russian and Kai responded in a calm voice. They continued to speak in their home language, Tala becoming increasingly loud and Kai in turn becoming more irritated. Ian then joined in but he soon got glares from the two of them so he stepped out.
Tala returned his attention to Kai and said something extremely venomously. Due to Kai’s silence he either couldn’t think up a decent reply or wouldn’t dignify whatever Tala said with an answer. Tala smirked ever so slightly and after giving a quick glance to his psychopathic friend on the bed he sauntered up to Rei. Blue eyes sending out daggers.
Stopping within inches of Rei’s face the red head narrowed his eyes. All trace of humour disappeared.
“You are not welcome here. Why did you even bother to come?”
Rei felt something like a boulder drop in his stomach. “I…I…Kai said…Kai invited me along.”
Tala crossed his arms and looked over his shoulder at Rei’s stoic captain. “Did he now? And pray tell why would he do that?”
Rei gulped, how could he explain he was just being a nosey fool. Tala suddenly smirked and backed away.
“You’ve bitten off more than you can chew Kitty-cat. I suggest you leave and don’t come back.” He turned away and walked down the corridor, back the way Rei and Kai had ran. Ian and Spencer soon followed their captain both sending uncaring looks Rei’s way.
Rei stood his back still against the corridor’s wall. He returned his gaze to Kai who was now in front of him closing the door of Bryan’s room. Rei felt several things flying around his head, but one was most prominent at this moment in time.
“Why?” Kai raised his head to his team-mate. “Why did you bring me here?” Kai remained silent, a single eyebrow raised, Rei’s entire body was trembling, in fear or anger Kai couldn’t tell but he reckoned it was both. Rei’s chest expanded suddenly with a great intake of air. “WHY THE FUCK DID YOU BRING ME HERE?”
Kai didn’t make a start at Rei’s shouting, despite it went totally against the nature of the Chinese blader, and he ignored the fact that it was the first time he had heard Rei swear out loud like that. In fact though Kai wasn’t so surprised by the outburst he was intrigued, Rei looked all the more wild with every passing moment. He felt something stir in his groin but quickly suppressed the urge. Now was not the time.
Kai began to walk down the corridor. “You wanted to know didn’t you.”
Rei stood stunned for a second, mouth agape, then a great swell of anger rose in his stomach. He turned and ran at Kai tackling him to the ground and proceed to hit him in every place he could reach. Kai’s chin hit the floor making his teeth click together. He was now extremely stunned by this attack. He felt his own rage grow and tried to control it, if he didn’t he may kill Rei.
He bucked beneath the long haired blader, taking no notice of the fists hitting him. Rei was thrown off the Russian and then found himself pinned beneath him. Rei’s arms were held above his head, as they were only yesterday. It would have been highly erotic had Kai’s eyes not been alight with fire.
Rei tried desperately to twist out of Kai’s grip. Then finding it solid he stopped and simply glared at him.
“Why did you bring me here Kai, knowing full well Bryan wants to kill me?” He spat. Kai let out a short laugh.
“Don’t flatter yourself, if he wanted to kill you he would have done it at the tournament.”
Rei leaned up as far as he could so he was inches from Kai’s face.
“In case you didn’t noticed Kai, he almost did.”
Kai shook his head his tone lighter than before. “No, trust me on this if he had wanted to he would have. Bryan was going easy on you.”
Kai didn’t really realise what he had said but Rei did immediately. He felt a massive blow to his pride, so he did what any normal person would do. He retorted.
“Why should I trust anything you say? You’re a traitor”
Kai froze. He looked down at Rei unbeknownst of all his eyes were showing the younger. He hurt deeply, Rei, the one he thought now trusted him…
Kai bent his head hiding his eyes. He released Rei who scuttled back from under him still looking daggers at him.
“Leave then. You can just go. Fredrick will call the car for you.”
Rei got up not saying a word of thanks, he simply strode back towards the main staircase. Kai, still sat back on his knees, simply stared at the floor.
: Kai, are you okay? :
Kai shook his head. Unable to bring himself to speak. He wouldn’t or more couldn’t cry but it didn’t stop his heart feeling broken. In his mind he felt warm wings wrap themselves around him, as they had so often done when he was younger. He vaguely remembered the screams that he had suffered before, the tears he had cried during and after Dranzers comfort, though that was before it was pulled out of him along with his innocence. He remembered pain, then he remembered the Bladebreakers, they had saved him, not just from Voltaire and Boris, but from himself, one in particular made him want to live his life out to fullest. Had made him want to help the others to find what he had found.
Dranzer’s wings tightened on him and a soft cooing noise was made. Kai turned into that realm and hid himself amongst the firey feathers.

Okay a bit of OOCness. Like the little fight though?
