strange events
chapter three: strange events
Being resigned to spend the night alone Yusuke was quite surprised to find Hiei in his room. He had assumed the demon would stay in a tree like always.
"Oh hi Hiei" "Hn" "What happened men?Didn't like the trees of the area?" "Idiot, there are no trees around here" "Aaa now I understand" With this last comment it seemed that for Hiei the conversation was finnished so he went to bed but didn't sleep, it was just too early. 'a saiyajin thing' the words keep repeating in his mind 'damn couldn't he stop talking in riddles? Is not as if it'll kill him to explain something' Yusuke thought. He had no clue of what the boy was, he just knew he was quite strong, he had sensed it. "Hiei, where do you think this guy comes from? He said he wasn't a demon...but he's not human either...right?So..." "Why should I know that?!" asked the fire apparition, disturbed. He had been thinking of a few issues that needed to be attend to at Mukuro's. It had worked well to get out of his mind the misterious boy and the detective had to ruin everything. "Well you know more than me...you know...are older" Hiei's eyes twitched but said nothing. This boy...there was something strange within him. His energy so special feral and kind at the same time. So...appealing. "What's appealing?" Hiei almost jumped in his feet. Had he said that aloud? He needed to be careful. By the way, why had he just thought that?It made no sense "Nothing" he answered leaving the ex-detective perplexed. He was about to ask another thing when a huge rock entered unceremoniously the room. Yusuke stopped it. "What shit is this?" he question to no one in particular. Both him and Hiei tried to go into the direction where the rock had come. What they found was shocking. Kurama stay there in his youko form invoking some kind of plant to hold what seemed to be a disproporcionately big monkey. The landscape around was completely destroyed. "Kurama are you all right?!" "Yes, don't worry. It looks more dangerous than it is" "Where has it come from?" "Don't know Yusuke" He looked at the sky which was beginnig to getting more and more full of clouds. And then it happened. The monkey started to get more and more small and to look more and more human like until it was reduced to...Gohan? They all looked in shock at the so-full-of-surprises guy. Hiei was the first to react, nearing himself to the trapped boy. "He's unconscious" "We should bring him back to his room, then" proposed Kurama. Then seeing that he was nude he added "And get him some spare clothes"
Later...
Hiei was still trying to sort out what had possesed him to offer to put an eye on the saiyajin. Kurama and Yusuke had gone straight to bed and he had stayed there. What kind of creature Gohan was? It was the first time he had wittnessed such a transformation. He studied him more closely as if by doing he would understand him better. Now that he was nude, Hiei could appreciate how in good shape his body was. His body was muscular, perfectly scultured. This kind of shape was one of a hard training, he knew. And there was still this funny thing about his energy. He could feel that, as he said, was related to human race and, at the same time to something else. Something that hadn't felt before. Something wildly strong and powerful and...appealing, inviting. He shook his head. What was wrong with him? Maybe he had caught some virus and it made him act strange? Yes, that should be it. He was going to leave when Gohan's eyes opened, deep black orbs staring at his own. "Hiei? What happened?" Hiei's eyes widened 'he doesn't remember anything?' Suddenly realization stroke Gohan "Did I hurt Kurama? Or someone else?" he asked in a concerned tone "No" "Fortunately!" he exclaimed relieved "I'm sorry I can't control myself in that form. I just go crazy. Where are my clothes?" "Ruined" "W-what?" "Ruined" Hiei repeated gesturing to the pile of new ones that Kurama had left in a chair "Aah. Thank Kurama for me" Hiei blinked, he had told him nothing. "Really, Hiei is not that difficult to figure. I might have stayed just a day with you but I already notice how polite he is. He wants to behave in a correct way all the time so it had to be him." he explained. That was all true, however, Hiei could not stop thinking that even if it was obvious he had figured it in a very quick way. Sharp thinker, just like the fox. One not to be taken lightly. "Hn" "Good night"
Next morning Gohan awaked to the sounds of a discussion next room. He quickly dressed and went to the place where the voice was coming. There it was what seemed to be a hairless monk arguing with an upset Yusuke "You should take more care of your father's legacy!! You're barely at Makai to rule!" "Oh, shut up. It's not my fault if Keiko won't want to move here!" replied the hanjou. "But you're needed! In fact, you should already have picked your second in command!" "You're the one so concerned about it so you're picked!" was the angry proposal "I can't be, I'm too weak in comparison to the other second commanders. It will give the kingdom a bad image" "The kingdoms don't even formally exist anymore!" "Yeah but it's like they exist. You need to choose" Yusuke sighed, this time he had no more tricks up his sleeve to ellude the matter. What could he do? He didn't rely in anybody except for Hiei and Kurama and they already belonged to Mukuro and Yomi respectively. He looked at Gohan who had just entered the room and an idea flashed his mind. It was risky...he practically didn't know anything about the boy. Nevertheless, he seemed to be quite strong and honorable. His instint was telling him it was a good idea and he had discovered that following his instints used to be the best, at least at Makai "Gohan, wanna be my second in command?" The said boy stared at Yusuke and then at the monk. "I-I don't know"
