chapter 3
Chapter3-
‘Damn’ thought Heero as he was drying off ‘I suppose it is a good thing Duo interrupted me….but I was so close. I wonder if he suspects anything. Doubtful according to him I wouldn’t know anything about sex if it weren’t for the internet. But it is good to not rouse suspicions…..I wonder if Duo locked the bathroom door. Kami! Do you hear yourself Heero?!?!? You want to peak at Duo….. It really wouldn’t matter if the door was locked anyway if I wanted in. But what would peaking accomplish. I’ve been around Quatra and Trowa too much! That is entirely beside the point though. According to the norm I am NOT supposed to be attracted to a guy. Even if I was Duo wouldn’t give me the time of day, when he has so many other choices. But to be fair lets just say he did give me a chance the odds that it would turn into a meaningful relationship are smaller than the probability that two thermonuclear missiles would be turned into a sperm whale and a very surprised bowl of petunias.’
Heero was actually quite a fan of Douglas Adams. Adams reminded Heero of the project meteor scientists and thus everything that normal people would consider random and obtuse were to Heero, plausible and clear as crystal. I blame it on the training.
‘I continue to fail to comprehend this feeling. Why would I willingly whore myself out to Duo just to spend a night in his arms? NO I WILL NOT ALLOW IT! But Duo probably has trouble considering me a close friend let alone a lover and companion. No I need to put all these thoughts of love and companionship out of my head. Damn! Is that the time?!?!’
“Duo…. Are you finished YET??” Heero yelled through the bathroom door.
“MMMmmmoohhhing!!” Was the reply.
“NANI?!?!?”
“I said you can come in” Duo clarified as he opened the door.
“Do you know that it is almost six thir….”
Heero stopped and stared at the beautiful man standing before him. Clad only in a small towel round his waist, long hair loose and clinging to his back.
“Heerooo….HHEELLLLOOOOOO!!!!!” said Duo waving a hand in front of Heero’s blank face. “Dude are you all right?”
“Huh? What?” replied Heero as he fought to empty his mind of the distracting thoughts.
“I—uh yeah. It was the steam… it caused a slight change in my mental capabilities. You know I got over heated.”
“Oh, well you gonna’ be alright?”
“Affermitive” was the reply as Heero squezzed into the small bathroom.
“Uh Heero?” said Duo as a slight blush tinged his cheeks.
“What is it baka?” responded Heero as he looked up.
It was at that moment that he realized the close proximity of his body to Duo’s lithe form. He gazed into Duo’s amethyst eyes lost in his desire to take what he wanted.
It was almost as if they had been magnetized. Neither could bear to be separated form the other as they steely drew close to one another. Until their lips brushed sending them into……
*BANG BANG BANG*
“YUY! MAXWELL! WE WILL BE LATE IF YOU DO NOT DISCONTINUE YOUR PROCRASTINATION!” yelled Wufei into the front door of the apartment, as though it would make the two men inside hurry.
The sound of the irate Chinese man at their front door sent Duo and Heero crashing back into a very awkward reality.
“You better finish getting ready” said Heero
“…..Yeah” said Duo still in a bit of a daze.
Five minutes later they were all in the car on their way to the Preventers office. They were carpooling and to day being Friday was Wufei’s turn to drive.
“What took you so long this morning?” Wufei asked.
Silence was all that answered him.
“WELL?!?!”
“I..uh…overslept” said Duo into his lap.
“Hump, you would. I suppose I shouldn’t expect much out of a weakling like you.”
Wufei replied tartly.
Wufei continued on talking about lazy weak people, but Duo had long since tuned out the noise and escaped into his mind where he replayed the events from the morning.
‘Could Heero actually care for me?’ he thought excitedly. ‘I’ve never seen a look like that on him before…Not that I mind…’
“MAXWELL!!!” yelled Wufei
“What?” Duo whined waiting for the tirade.
“We are here. Where you listening to me at all?”
“No not really.” Was the curt reply.
“Well there is no reason to stay here so lets get to work” Heero interjected quickly sensing that Wufei’s head was going to explode and then begin a new rant about Duo which, Heero decided, he was just not in the mood to ignore.
Upon entering the building the three noticed a shadow and a fake tree moving. Further investigation confirmed what they knew was going on. Trowa and a disheveled and panting Quatera nodded their hellos.
“HAVE YOU NO MODESTY?!” Wufei managed to yell before his nose began to bleed.
Quatra giggled as he helped his lover straighten his uniform. Not falling to notice a spacey Duo and Heero well he seemed to be calculating something. He dismissed it as them just being their unique form of normal. As soon as Wufei was able to quell the geyser that had erupted form his nose the group boarded the elevator and went to their offices; to work and escape Wufei and his feelings about PDA.

well that’s it for chapter 3 I've had to rearrange the chapter divisions. I always have hated short chapters Anyway like before please review. It lets me know that you actually like what I'm doing
