New Information
Heero smiled at Trowa, taking the shuttle from auto-pilot in order to land it.
"Commencing manual pilot sequence," the shuttles computer said. Heero began putting landing instructions into the control panel.
"Heero," Trowa said looking over at him, "I hope we find Duo."
When Heero heard him say Duo, it made him feel a train of guilt. He felt as if he had cheated on Duo, even though they weren't seeing each other. Heero remained silent. He didn't respond to Trowa. He should have never had sex with Trowa. He knew how Quatre felt about him.
"This is Preventers space cargo shuttle," said Trowa into the radio. "Request permission to land."
"This is air traffic control tower 2 on L5 China Colony. Preventers space cargo shuttle, permission granted for landing. Proceed to the runway."
"Thank you, air traffic control," Trowa said, putting his shoes back on.
"We are going to need to load up our munitions when we land this shuttle," Heero told him. "Radio Sally and tell her to get us a vehicle."
Trowa took out his cell phone and called Sally. "Sally, we need a vehicle waiting for us when we land. I don't want anyone getting suspicious of us when we land." After a few moments, Trowa hung up the phone. "We have transportation, Heero."
He looks at Trowa, "Thanks."
Heero lands the shuttle on L5. He and Trowa gather up all of their guns that had gotten scattered all over the cockpit. They emerged quickly, only to see a brand new Escalade waiting on them. There was a driver, so they got in the back seat.
"Pilots 001 and 003, welcome. I am Ming Dao, head of transportation for the Preventers on L5," Ming informed them. "My platoon will be with you on the search for pilot 002."
The car phone begins ringing and Mind answers it. "Patch it through." He puts the phone on speaker.
"Earlier today, we intercepted a phone call with Duo's voice. I am going to paly the recording I have," said the person on the phone. There was alot of crackling, then Duo's voice was heard. "Tonight will be my last night alive unless the Gundams are handed over to my captors. They want them delivered to the old hangar on the abandoned Air Force base in southern L5. Heero, I know you are going to hear . I wanted to tell you something. You've been the best battle buddy a guy could ask for. I just wish I could be there right now to tell you everything that is on my mind." He quit talking and really faint voices were heard in the background. They were female.
"Did you hear what I heard after Duo stopped talking?" Heero asked Trowa.
"Those voices?" Trowa asked, "Those female voices."
"Yes," Heero replied, "Who do we know that could be capable of kidnapping Duo and be female. I don't think I can think of anyone."
"I don't know of anyone either," Trowa told him.
"It must be someone we don't know," Heero replied. "Someone undercover, maybe working for someone else. Maybe those voices were a coverup to throw us off guard. But, right now, all I know is we gotta save Duo and do it quickly."
