“Pizza?” Max said happily, looking at the pizzeria the gang had arrived at later that night.
“You did say you wanted pizza Max,” Ray pointed out to him.
“But I still think lobster would have been better...” Tyson sighed, scoffing the ground, “This’ll have to do.”
“You’re turning down pizza Tyson?” Daichi asked him.
“I never said that Daichi,” Tyson grinned, “Let’s get stuffed!”
“Yeah!” Daichi agreed, the two dashing inside, finding a table.
“Oh great, here we go,” Max sighed, smiling as he took off after his two excited friends.
“Thank you Ray,” Mariah kissed him, the raven haired man looking at her rather puzzled.
“What for?” he asked.
“Dinner,” she smiled, “In advance.”
“Well that’s no problem,” Ray told her, hugging her close; “I hope you enjoy it.”
“I will,” she nodded, taking his hand and leading him to the table.
“I’m not saying thank you,” Hilary told Kai as he looked her up and down; barely able to contain himself; in his heat; and her in that little low cut top and skirt….
“No problem,” Kai put his hands in his pockets, smirking.
“Why you….” Hilary growled, storming off to the table.
“Too easy,” Kai smiled as he watched her, feeling his face tinge red; shaking the blush off.

“I think you’re getting checked out Hil,” Tyson nodded towards a guy that was standing over at the buffet table, smiling at her.
“No way,” Hilary scoffed, looking up.
“Seriously; he is!” Mariah said.
“He is not,” Hilary shook her head, blushing slightly.
“Maybe you should go up,” Max suggested.
“No…no way…” Hilary shook her head.
“Why’s that Hilary?” Kai suddenly spoke up, making her look at him, “You can’t possible scare him away unless you talk to him,” he smirked, feeling rather pleased with his dig.
“Oh yeah?” she huffed, pouting at him, “I’ll show you! You think you know everything!” she got up, “You don’t, you know!”
“Where the Hell are you…?” Kai sat up suddenly, banging his knee off of the table; he hadn’t expected her to storm over to the guy; maybe just snap at him and leave it at that.
“Looks like you pushed the wrong buttons there Kai!” Daichi sniggered as she began to talk to the man, playing with her watch and blushing.
“She looks like she’s doing well!” Mariah nodded as the guy leant over and whispered something to her, Hilary looking up and giggling, playing with her hair.
“She only does that when she’s interested in the attention!” Kai thought, his chest feeling tight as his blood boiled; no way was he letting this go any further than it was already!
“Something the matter Kai?” Mariah asked him.
“No,” he replied gruffly, “Stay out of my business.”
“Fine; meanie,” she made a face at him.
“Just ignore it Mariah,” Ray patted her hair.
“He doesn’t need to be so mean,” Mariah whispered to him.
“That’s Kai for you though; he has his grumpy times a lot.” Ray smiled, making her giggle.
Kai couldn’t care less about what Mariah and Ray were saying about him. He was far too concerned about what Hilary was doing with that guy. He didn’t like it; no one was to talk to her like that but him. And the only person she should be flirting with was him.
Not that he could; would react; knowing nothing he could say or do would help the situation; and it would also bring to attention his…feelings for Hilary; they didn’t want the others to know. Well; he didn’t at least.
Hilary’s hand rested on the guy’s arm, Kai clenching his fingers around his knee to avoid taking a balled fist to the man’s face.
“Be calm…play it cool…like nothing’s wrong…” he told himself, looking away; trying to listen to what the others were saying around the table.
“Look! He’s smiling at her!” Mariah cried.
Kai tried to control the turn of his head; failing miserably at a casual look in her direction.
His blood boiled; he bit the inside of his lip. He hated this; she was his.
“I guess you’ll be sharing with Ray tonight Mariah if things keep up like this.” Tyson teased; the whole table laughing. Bar Kai.
“Shut...the...fuck...up...Tyson...!” Kai growled mentally. He could taste the blood in his mouth and his whole arm was tensed up to the max.
Hilary flicked her hair over her to catch a glimpse of how Kai was taking this. He didn’t visibly look annoyed, but his tensed up arm told another story. She smiled faintly, before turning back to the male and patting his arm, before walking back to the table, the guy disappearing around the far side of the buffet table.
“So? So?!” Mariah asked.
“What?” Hilary asked.
“He finally get disinterested when you explained you were a man?” Kai asked, a smirk playing on his lips.
“Unlike you; he appreciates a real woman,” Hilary retorted, “You wouldn’t know one if it hit you in the face.”
“I guess you don’t count after all,” he shot back.
“Uh…pizza anyone?” Max spoke up; trying to stop the heated exchange between the two.
“Better not give Hil any,” Kai glared at her, “You can tell by looking at her she doesn’t need anymore.”
“Excuse ME?! What was that?!” she demanded.
“Oooh,” Tyson mumbled, “Harsh.”
“Keep that up Kai and no woman will ever want to be with you,” she huffed, sitting back down in her place. “No one likes a jerk.”
“Whatever.” Kai snorted, getting up, “I’m going.”
“Kai, don’t go…” Max pleaded with him.
“I’ve had my fill thanks Max,” Kai took a few bills from his wallet, placing them on the table; his share of the meal. “Besides, if I stay Hilary’s story with Mr. Romeo over there will make me bring up my meal.”
“Kai…” Ray looked at him.
“And means Hil’s got tonnes more to scoff….I mean; eat,” he sneered as he left, not even turning to acknowledge Hilary‘s shouts of rage.
“How DARE he…!” he heard her yell, “That…!”
“Hey...” Tyson counted the money Kai had left behind, “This could pay for the whole meal.”
“Really?” Ray reached over, taking it from Tyson and counting it for himself. “Hey, it could too.”
“So? Who wants a drink?!”
