Chapter 3

Heero entered into the kitchen area from the back door, he made sure to shut it behind him. Duo was sitting a the kitchen table with a cup of warm tea and a blanket put over his shoulders with a salad set in front of him.

Quatre and Trowa were seated at the table as well with a salad bowl for each. Edward and Xanatos likewise, Xanatos picked at the salad with his fork and twitched his lip.

“Oh Good Daddy you’re here too I have your salad!” Shay said bring it over to the empty seat at the head of the table. Heero walked over and sat down he had an amused look on his face,

“Honey I don’t think you had to put a blanket over mommy like that.” He said as the bowl was set before him. “I didn’t Edward did,” Shay answered and sat down at her place now that everyone was seated and had their salads. Edward nodded, “Yeah I thought he looked cold,” Ed admitted.

Duo chuckled, “I told you I was just fine Edward, but thank you for the sweet jester,” Duo said while he dug into his salad.

Shay was watching him closely to see if he liked it or not. “Well Mommy is the salad good?” Shay wondered from across the table where she sat between Quatre and Heero.

“Oh yes very good Shay once again nice lunch Idea,” Duo said smiling at Shay and licked his lips of the flavor.

Quatre shook his head, “Well still it is good that you are alright, you should really be more careful Duo.” Quatre said after taking a bite of his salad and swallowing.

“Nah its entraining Duo being himself,” Trowa disagreed in a very teasing tone of voice.

“You would think that, but who is the clown of the group anyways?” Duo wondered looking over at Trowa. He stood up and removed the blanket and set it in the corner on a chair then came back the blanket was making him hot and It was hard to eat that way.

“Well it appears your taking up that roll.” Trowa retorted back. “I only did the clown thing as an act you do it everyday as if it’s by your nature or something like you have clown blood in you.”

“Ah hahaha if only that was a true race of people, I don’t think clown is in the blood.” Duo laughed dryly than answered sarcastically.

“Well you never know,” Trowa shrugged and went on eating his salad.

“Trowa will you knock it off already,” Quatre wondered, “Can you two not go without ripping into one another. It is like you just have too and it is not a good example for the kids.” Quatre said tapping his fingers on the wooden table.

Duo smirked when Quatre scolded Trowa as if Duo felt like he had a personal victory or something. Duo said no more on this topic or brought anything up on it letting it drop. He cleaned up his salad bowl and stood up and starched.

“Thank you Shay for the good meal it was very,very tasty” Duo said giving her a thumbs up before taking his bowl over to the counter. He opened the dish washer and began loading his bowl.

“Yes Shay you did do a good job,” Heero agreed he to had cleaned his bowl.

“Wait tell you see what I am making for super.” Shay smiled, Duo walked back over and placed his hands on his hips he stood next to her chair.

“I can’t wait to see that sweet heart,” Duo said and kissed her on her head and she smiled.

( How Sad when my Brain died right in the middle of a chapter. Its tragic really. Oh well doesn't appear anyone is to fazed by the fact there is only 3 chapters and this one kind of died. Its still sad to me though. Shame On me!)
