A/N Sorry for the long wait. I didn't realize it'd been almost two months since my last update. I've got quite a bit written, so I'll work on getting all of that typed. ^_^
“The Lady Killer strikes again,” a patrol cop said in a low growl.
Detective Rebecca Hanson knelt beside the body, staring at a beautiful face. She shook her head at the waste and pulled on gloves before going through the victim’s purse.
“We got ID?” her partner, Jeff Akins, asked.
“Daniel Clifton.” She looked back to the death-frozen face. “What did you go by? Dani? Danielle?”
“Don’t, Becca,” Jeff said softly.
She ground her teeth. “This makes the third in two months.”
“Cheyenne is safe.”
She knew that, but it didn’t make her feel any better. Her eyes were drawn downward and she lifted the victim’s right hand, inspecting the nails. “We may have DNA. This one seems to have fought back.”

Duo taped the sign up on the wall. “Seriously, Heero, we should have more women here for this.”
“Hey!” Sherri protested. “I’m a woman.”
He snorted. “You’re a lesbian… that means only half woman, at best.”
She stared at him flatly for a long minute. “Trowa, can I punch him?”
“Sure. Just not in the face, if you don’t mind. He’s quite pretty.”
“Hey!” Duo yelped. “You’d really tell someone to punch me?”
The other man smirked. “For a comment like that? Any day.”
-----
As they were getting ready to leave the restaurant, Relena began frantically searching through her purse. “Oh dear.”
“What is it?” Noin asked.
“I can’t find my cell phone.” She huffed and looked to the others. “I must have left it at Fei’s. We’ve got to go get it.”
“Do you really need it?” Wufei asked.
“Of course I do!”
Wufei rubbed his forehead. “But we’re going to a movie. You can’t have it on anyway.”
“Please, Fei, I need it just in case.”
He rolled his eyes. “Fine, we’ll run by the apartment and meet the others there.”
“We’ll go with you,” Hilde said.
He raised an eyebrow and shook his head. “You girls are acting weird tonight.”
Relena took his hand. “Oh, come on.”
Ten minutes later Wufei stepped into the apartment and froze. There was a large banner that spelled out: ‘CONGRATULATIONS’ on a far wall and there were more people in the room than Heero’s poker buddies, including the supposedly sick Sherri.
“What’s all this?”
Sherri took his hands and pulled him further into the living room. “We wanted to throw you a party to celebrate your new life.”
“You didn’t have to do that.”
“I wanted to.”
He turned at Heero’s voice and his jaw dropped. There knelt Heero Yuy, holding up a small open box with an intricate white gold band adorned with a blue topaz. “Marry me.”
Wufei sucked in a breath as Heero slid the ring on his finger. “Yes… Yes, I will.”
Heero stood and pulled Wufei into a deep kiss. They broke apart for air several minutes later to a round of applause. Wufei looked up into the deep sapphire eyes of his now fiancée’s eyes.
“I love you.”
The Japanese man laughed before claiming those tantalizing lips again.
“And now, ladies, gentlemen, and everything in between,” Duo said to a round of laughter as he popped the cork on the wine, “let’s toast the happy couple. May their future be bright and happy.”
Wufei took the glass offered to him. “Thank you.” He looked to Relena and the girls. “I can’t believe you tricked me so easily.”
Hilde laughed. “It wasn’t like we had to keep the secret for long. Heero called us just after you left the apartment.”
His eyes widened, shooting back to Heero. “You did this all this in a little over an hour?”
He shrugged. “It wasn’t all that difficult.” He pulled Wufei into his arms. “I’ve had the ring for seven months, waiting until you quit. Once you did, I just couldn’t wait anymore.”
“Oh, I do love you.”
Heero laughed. “I’m grateful for that.”
“Well, come on, then,” Relena said, “let us see the ring.”
Wufei was instantly surrounded by Hilde, Relena, Catherine, Noin, and Sherri. “Why not a diamond?” Noin asked.
“Because blue topaz is Fei’s favorite gem,” Heero answered from outside the circle.
“It’s gorgeous.”
“Why did you wait so long to ask her?” Trowa asked.
He glanced to his friend. “I didn’t want to do it while she was still living a double life.”
Duo snickered. “I hope you know what you’re getting into.”
“We’ve been living together for over three years. I’m pretty sure not too much will change.”
“I meant about the wedding. It’s probably going to be the biggest of the century.”
He shrugged. “So long as she’s happy, that’s all that matters.”
-----
Wufei closed the door as Duo and Trowa left and turned to gaze across the room at his lover. “Sex all day, I’m unemployed, girl’s night out, and then a surprise engagement party. It’s been a long day.”
“One you enjoyed?”
He kicked off his shoes and crossed to his lover. “Very much so.”
Heero ran the back of his fingers down Wufei’s cheek before pulling the smaller man to him. “It’s late in the evening,” he sang softly, “she’s wondering what clothes to wear.
“She puts on her makeup, and brushes her long dark hair
“And then she asks me…” He smirked to Wufei.
He rolled his eyes. “Do I look all right?”
Heero smiled. “And I say, ‘Yes, you look wonderful tonight’.”
“We go to a party and everyone turns to see
“this beautiful lady that’s walking around with me.
And then she asks me:” Heero raised an eyebrow.
Wufei laughed softly, “Do you feel all right?”
“And I say, ‘Yes, I feel wonderful tonight.”
He spun Wufei around the living room. “I feel wonderful because I see
The love light in your eyes.
And the wonder of it all
Is that you don’t realize how much I love you.”
Wufei pressed his cheek to Heero’s chest as they swayed to music only they could hear.
“It’s time to go home now and I’ve got an aching head,
So I give her the car keys and she helps me to bed.”
“Except we’re already home so I don’t need car keys.” He pushed Heero to the bedroom, divesting him of his clothes as they went.
“And then I tell her, as I turn out the lights,
I say, ‘My dear, you were wonderful tonight.’”
Wufei laughed softly as they snuggled together in the bed, the Chinese man nestled against the other Asian’s chest. “Better be careful or your secret will get out.”
“What secret?”
“That you’re a hopeless romantic at heart.”
Heero chuckled. “I’ll be more careful.”
Wufei sighed, running his fingertips over the chiseled chest beneath him. He stared at the ring on his finger with excitement and anticipation. He couldn’t wait to start planning.
“Heero?”
“Hm?”
He pushed up to his elbows. “Think I can put off the shop until after the wedding? It’s just that both require so much attention and I’d rather put off the shop than the wedding.”
Heero smiled. “That’s fine with me. When do you want to have it?”
He rested his cheek back to his lover’s chest. “August. That’ll give me two months.”
“I’ll give you whatever you want.”
Wufei sighed softly, mind going back to the first night he’d allowed Heero in on his secret life. “You ever think about that night when I finally told you the truth?”
Heero laughed. “It’s one of my absolute favorite memories.”
-----
Heero leaned against Wufei’s desk. “I’m not trying to pressure you into anything you’re not ready for. I just want you to know that it isn’t just sex that I’m after, but I do want you.”
Wufei looked up to him. “I want you, too. That isn’t the problem.”
“Then what is?”
Wufei chewed his lip as he gazed up at the most beautiful blue eyes he’d ever seen. “You don’t know everything about me. I’ve been… lying by omission for a while. I couldn’t let us go forward until you really knew me.”
Heero cupped Wufei’s cheek. “There’s nothing you can say or do that will scare me off.”
He swallowed. “All right, then. Come to my apartment tonight at 7:30. No earlier. If you can accept what you find, I’m yours.”
Heero’s brows drew together. “Only if you want to be. I won’t force you.”
Wufei laughed. “I’ve always wanted to be yours. I just don’t know if I’m right for you.”
“You could never be wrong for me.”
He took a breath. “We’ll find out tonight.”
“Should I bring something for supper?”
“No, I’ll cook.”
Heero nodded and leaned down to drop a quick kiss on Wufei’s lips. “I’ll bring wine.”
“All right.”
Wufei watched Heero leave the office, nerves dancing in the pit of his stomach. Either tonight would the start of something beautiful, or he was about to lose the best thing that had ever happened to him.
-----
Heero wasn’t nervous over whatever Wufei had to tell him. He’d meant everything he’d said. But he was nervous about the fact that Wufei felt he had to hide anything from him. After years of knowing each other he felt his boyfriend should have known he wasn’t one to judge.
He parked and looked up at the building. While he’d known where Wufei lived for a long while, he’d never been invited over. He hadn’t really ever thought about it before now. They’d always just ended up at Heero’s apartment after dates for some kissing and a little more. Never sex. Wufei always drew the line before that.
He took the elevator to the fourth floor and rang the doorbell. The vision that reluctantly greeted him was far beyond his wildest fantasies. Wufei stood in white heels with a white skirt teasing at his knees. A blue and green blouse baring part of biceps cinched at the small waist while makeup accentuated his beautiful eyes and full lips.
He took a step back as Heero moved into the apartment and shut the door. “This is who I am,” he said softly.
“Wufei-“
“Fei,” he turned to face Heero, “call me Fei. Wufei is a lie, a mask I’ve been forced to wear so I could make it in the world. He’s miserable with only one shining light in his life. You.”
Before Heero could say anything at timer went off in the kitchen. He followed Wufei, watching as the skirt swirled about his knees. His eyes were riveted to the shapely legs and back end as Wufei bent over to pull lasagna out of the oven.
“Smells good.”
Wufei looked over his shoulder with a small smile. “It’s my specialty.” He tilted his head toward the trash can where the empty Stouffers box laid.
Heero chuckled. “Sounds good to me.”
Wufei turned and leaned against the counter, studying Heero. “You seem to be taking this well.”
He moved to the other Asian, eyes roaming over his form. He set the wine on the counter. “Did you know that sometimes you stand in a quite feminine pose? Or that your voice will soften like it is now when you’re not thinking about it.”
Obsidian eyes were wide as Heero ran his fingers through loose raven locks. “I doubt anyone else has noticed. No one watches you like I do.”
He ran his hand down Wufei’s side to his hip. “And I couldn’t help but wonder how you’d look like this.” He leaned close until their lips were almost touching. “My fantasies don’t come close to how beautiful you are.”
Wufei folded his arms over Heero’s shoulders as his mouth was taken in a devouring kiss. He clenched his hands in Heero’s shirt as their tongues slid together, igniting a fire in his blood while his body demanded more contact.
Strong hands gripped his waist and he gasped as he was lifted to sit on the counter. He tilted his head when Heero kissed and lapped at his neck. “Dear gods… What about supper?”
Heero raised up, looking into Wufei’s eyes as he pulled the smaller man’s hips forward. “I’m hungry for something else at the moment.”
He slid Wufei’s skirt up and pulled the thongs down so he could lap at the hard erection. Wufei’s head fell back to the wall as Heero teased his length. It had been years since anyone had touched him, and at the time he’d been little more than a kid with no idea what he was doing.
Heero, on the other hand, obviously knew what he was doing. Wufei was sure he’d have fallen from the counter if a strong hand didn’t have a grip on his hip. Wufei’s back arched as the other hand fondled his balls and Heero took all of him into his mouth.
“Heero…” He couldn’t think beyond the single word. He could hardly breathe as his lover proved how talented his was with his tongue. He slid his eyes open, watching as Heero’s lips slid up and down him. The occasional hot breath washed over his overly sensitive skin.
“Oh… Heero… ngh… I’m gonna…” He tangled his hands in Heero’s hair as he reached his limit and released inside his lover’s mouth. Sagging against the wall, he struggled to catch his breath.
Heero watched him with a satisfied smirk on his lips. “I’ve wanted to do that for a very long time.”
Wufei licked his lips. “Well, you’re very good at it.”
Heero grinned and pulled Wufei in for a lingering kiss. “It’s not so difficult when you’re with the person you love.”
Wufei slid from the counter, tugging Heero from the room. “Well, I guess I shouldn’t make you wait any longer.”
“What about supper?”
“It’ll keep.”
Wufei pulled Heero’s shirt over his head, dropping it to the floor as he raised up on his toes to kiss him. How they made it to the bedroom without either running into anything was anybody’s guess. By the time they made it to the bed Heero was completely naked while Wufei wore just the skirt. Which he questioned.
“I like it.”
Wufei laughed breathlessly as he stretched on his back. “A fetish of yours?”
“Only with you.” He ran his hands up Wufei’s thighs. “You are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”
He gripped Heero’s upper arms. “I want you, Heero.”
“Do you have anything?”
“Nightstand, bottom drawer.”
Heero leaned over and rummaged through the drawer. He passed over toys, cataloguing them for future reference, and pulled out the lube. He settled back between Wufei’s legs and stared down at his lover. The deep red sheets beneath him made a striking contrast to his silken locks and golden skin.
“What is it?”
He smirked. “Just enjoying the view.”
He flushed slightly. “Well, quit enjoying the view and start enjoying me.”
Heero chuckled and leaned down. “Is that proper language for a lady?”
Wufei slid his foot up the inside of Heero’s leg. “Probably not.”
Heero leaned down to kiss Wufei gently. The smaller Asian spread his legs when he felt Heero’s hand slide up the inside of his thigh. He sucked in a breath, gazing into lust-darkened sapphire blue eyes as a slick finger teased his entrance before sliding in.
“Okay?”
“Yeah.”
To have somehow won the love of the divine creature writhing beneath him was the best gift Heero had ever been given. He savored every gasp, put to memory every moan, and as he sank into the tight heat he knew he was the luckiest man alive. He moved slowly, watching Wufei’s face for any sign of discomfort.
A small smile lifted the Chinese man’s lips. “It’s good.”
“I don’t want to hurt you.”
He shook his head. “You won’t. Now love me like you mean it.”
“Your wish…” Heero let the sentence trail off as he began to take his lover in earnest. Not as hard or fast as he could have, but more than enough to pull whimpers and gasps from Wufei. He searched for the right angle and knew he’d found it when Wufei’s back arched and he cried out loudly.
“There,” Wufei gasped. “Harder.”
Heero slammed into him, aiming for that spot. Soon his lover was sobbing, crying his name on every inward thrust.
“Oh, gods… Heero.”
He wrapped his hand around Wufei’s weeping link and stroked it in time with their rhythm. The Chinese man cried out loudly as he found release. A moment later Heero emptied inside him, groaning his own satisfaction.
“Damn.”
“Hm,” Wufei agreed on a hum, running his fingers over Heero’s back as he pulled out and stretched out beside him. “That was amazing.”
Heero pressed a kiss to Wufei’s lips. “You’re amazing.”
-----
Wufei looked back up to meet Heero’s eyes. “You’re the amazing one, love.”
Heero shook his head. “Then I guess it’s a good thing you’re marrying me.”
“Probably… I doubt anyone else would.” He yelped when a pinch came to his bottom. After the long day he’d had, he couldn’t fight the exhaustion and fell to sleep with a content smile on his face.
