Chapter 39
Bulma leaned her head back against the wall; her head was pounding so hard she had to shut her eyes to regain some sense of composure.
A moment ago, it had felt as though something had been ripped from both her mind and soul. It was so intense, like a whoosh exiting her body and mind from her lungs; it had left her breathless. Her knees had buckled and she was out of breath and dizzy, not unlike a fainting spell but about ten times worse than that. She sat there on the floor, her head in her hands, eyes closed, taking deep breaths in and out of her mouth, trying to gather her bearings again.
What the hell was that? She wondered to herself. She assumed nothing good. Her first thought had been panic over the possibility that something was wrong with her baby, but as she sat there, completely still, she took note that there was no pain anywhere in her abdomen or belly. It was strictly her head and chest that were affected.
Oh God. She thought as realization sunk in full force. Vegeta. Had he lost? Was that what she was feeling? The remainder of the bond that they had shared. Was it gone? Was he dead?
Despite her negative feelings towards him, dread crept up deeply within her. Dread and sadness. She wondered if she should try reaching out to him or not? She didn't want to needlessly distract him, especially if he was at a disadvantage at the moment. But she had to know.
Vegeta? Are you alright? She asked cautiously; not sure if she wanted to know the answer or not.
I'm sorry, Vegeta doesn't live here anymore. Who's this? Came an almost immediate reply in a voice she did not recognize as Vegeta's.
Bulma paused and frowned for a moment. Something definitely wasn't right. She closed her eyes and tried to concentrate. She wasn't sure how this bond thing worked, but Vegeta had been able to show her things through it. He had shown her several very vivid images from their supposed life together. Maybe she could do the same, only see what he was seeing?
Hello-o? Anybody there? I know I didn't imagine you just now? Who is this? The voice came again. It was loud and grating and obnoxious. Nothing like the smooth, masculine voice of Vegeta's.
Never mind who I am! She replied angrily, who are you and what have you done with Vegeta?
Vegeta has taken a permanent vacation from this amazing body of his. Let's just say he was given the privilege of taking the outer body experience.
That still doesn't answer my question! Who are you and where is Vegeta?
Well, I'm not sure how to answer that one, that's a really good question.

Captain Ginyu, now occupying Vegeta's body turned to his master, "Hey, Lord Frieza? So what do I call myself now? Captain Ginyu? Or Prince Vegeta?"
Frieza rolled his eyes, unamused at the Captain.
"I can't lead the Ginyu force if my name is Vegeta. I know I'm still technically Ginyu. But my men won't respect or follow me in this short body. I think Jeyice is even taller than me now." He complained, stretching out his arms, patting his chest and abdominal area in inspection of this new body. "Though, I can probably get a lot more tail in this body than my original self ever could. Maybe they'd even be willing partners now! Hey, Vegeta! Did you get lots of action in this body?"
Ginyu jumped up and down a few times, followed by a few back flips and leaps to the left and right, "Wow! This body may be small, but it sure is fast! Maybe I can command the Ginyu Force in this body after all!" he commented excitedly, striking a few experimental poses. This was absolutely incredible! Ginyu took a few small steps on only the tips of his toes and then did a delicate pirouette, followed by an exaggerated final pose on one foot, standing only on the tip of his toe, the other leg extended gracefully high in the air and his arms over his head. "How do I look?"
Vegeta could have thrown up as he watched in complete and utter horror and disbelief at himself doing flamboyant gymnastics and ballet poses. This had to be a nightmare. There was no way around it. He was still on the ship with Kakarott on their way to rescue Bulma and destroy Frieza. There was no way this was happening to him.
He tried reaching out to Bulma again, but felt nothing. He coughed and frowned in despair as purple blood spurted from his mouth and onto the floor of the throne room. He only hoped that Bulma was already back on the ship and off this hell hole. Whether this was reality or a horrible dream that he seemed to be unable to awake from, at least then he could die in peace, knowing that she was safe and sound and could raise their son in peace. He had faith that Kakarott would watch over them both, train his son if the woman would allow it and maybe, just maybe educate him about his heritage. He knew that might be pushing it though.
"Enough, Ginyu!" Frieza said irritably. "Now, what do you suppose we should do with Vegeta? That wound looks bad. I am sure he does not have much time left."
Tell me who you are and what you have done with Vegeta!
"Alright, alright! God!" Ginyu shouted.
"I am sorry, Ginyu, what was that?" Frieza asked, turning to him after his random outburst.
"I'm sorry, my Lord." Ginyu apologized. "But some female is harassing me and screeching at me like a banshee wanting to know what happened to Vegeta."
Vegeta gasped and looked up at, he supposed, himself. The bond. Bulma was still connected, but to Ginyu now and not to him.
"Now that is rich," Frieza laughed, looking again at Vegeta. "Perhaps you can convince her to return here?"
"Here? Why?" Ginyu asked in confusion.
"Because then I can get rid of her. That wound Vegeta inflicted on your body is bad. He won't be lasting much longer, he is useless as far as I am concerned. I can tear her apart right in front of him, as he bleeds out and there's nothing he will be able to do about it." Frieza cackled. "Maybe I will let you in on the amusement as well, Ginyu. She may be willing, seeing as you have switched bodies."
Oh no, Vegeta thought to himself in horror as his stomach dropped at the possibility. No, no, no, no, no.
"Well, you see, my Lord that may be a problem." Ginyu replied.
"I do not see the problem, Ginyu. You now occupy Vegeta's body and have a bond with the Woman. Lure her back here. It's as simple as that."
"Well, No. You see, she knows that Vegeta is gone."
"And how would she know that?"
"I kinda told her."
"You fool!" Frieza spat at him. "And just what, exactly did you tell her?"
Vegeta began to laugh dryly, despite the pain he was in. "You wouldn't need to tell her, you fools!" he said, spitting out a clump of blood and mucous. He was feeling somewhat relieved now. Bulma should have been able to pick up on the abrupt change and know that something was wrong. She also should have been at the docks by now.
"You shut up!" Frieza sneered at him. "Go on, what did you tell her, Ginyu?"
"That Vegeta wasn't here anymore. That he was having somewhat of an outer body experience." Ginyu said with a nervous chuckle. He had thought it was funny.
"For God's sake Ginyu!" Frieza hollered at him. "You have the ultimate advantage where Vegeta is concerned and you fuck it up before we even decide what to do!"
Hello! I am talking to you!
-0-0-0-
Bulma was still sitting on the floor of the ship on the second floor trying to figure this out. She could hear bits and pieces of a conversation with Frieza. Frieza was pissed off at whoever it was that had taken over in Vegeta's head. She was starting to get annoyed at his lack of response to her.
Hello! I am talking to you!
Geez! What is it? Would you stop screeching at me?
No! What have you done to Vegeta? So help me, I will make your life miserable if you don't tell me!
Vegeta struck me with a mortal wound, so I repaid the favor by switching bodies with him. He is currently bleeding out as we speak. So forget about him, girl!
Bulma closed her eyes tightly, trying to concentrate. She wasn't sure on what, exactly. She just decided to concentrate on this new person she seemed to have a mental connection with now. She searched and searched and then saw Frieza and his throne room.
From the look of it, Frieza was beaten up pretty badly. Is this what he'd had to resort to in order to win this battle? Having one of his wounded henchmen switch bodies with Vegeta? What a coward! She thought angrily. Where is Vegeta?
He's gone, girl! What else do you want me to tell you? Are you dense?
Look you piece of shit! I can currently see everything you see. So turn around and look at Vegeta or whoever he is now. She said harshly to him, not caring much for politeness. Look at him! Now!
Fine! Although you may not like what you see.
Bulma gasped in horror at what she saw. The large purple giant who had called himself the Captain and had dragged her to the throne room was crouched down on his knees, holding himself up with one arm. The other was tightly clutched to his chest as though trying to keep his chest cavity held together.

"Hey, Vegeta! You're woman is on the other line. Wave hello!" Ginyu called out to him, walking up to him with a cruel smirk. Vegeta wondered briefly if that's how he looked to all of his opponents as he had stood over them in their final moments, mocking them and their futile efforts before finally ending their seemingly insignificant lives in his eyes.
Vegeta looked up at him briefly, wondering if Bulma could actually see him. He shook his head and looked down in shame; he hoped she couldn't see him. Not like this.
"What, you have nothing to say to your dear mate, Vegeta?" Frieza asked mockingly.
Vegeta glared at the tyrant. To have been so close to victory and have it slipped through his fingers all because Ginyu had somehow awoken from the blow he had given him earlier. He should have made sure he was finished instead of carelessly tossing him to the side. Better off, he should have skipped testing out his new powers. Frieza's words echoed back to him just then: "The inability to back down from a challenge was always one of your biggest handles as well as one of your biggest flaws." He should have just finished him and then joined Bulma on the docks. Instead, here he was; dyeing of a mortal would he had technically inflicted on himself. He had no connection to his mate to warn her if she hadn't made it yet. He thought of lunging at one of them for mocking him the way they were at the moment, but decided to save his energy. Maybe there would be an opening somewhere.

Bulma could not believe what she was seeing. How the hell had they managed to pull that one off? The purple giant had to have known he was going to die. Why else would he have switched? This wasn't fair. No matter how she felt about Vegeta, she knew he was a warrior inside and out. And this was not honorable. She hadn't missed the look of shame on his face even though it was a different face and he had only looked up very briefly. Had she not been concentrating as hard as she had been, she'd have missed it.
She wished there was something she could do. She couldn't think of anything. She knew going back would be the worst possible thing she could do. If she wasn't careful and they got a hold of her, which would more than likely happen, she reasoned, they would only torment Vegeta through her and he was obviously not in any position to protect himself, never mind her. She knew she couldn't fight either of them; and she knew that even if they left the room and Vegeta alone thinking that he would just die in his current state, she would never be able to carry him back to the ship. Not on her own. What about medical attention? The lab would still be too far away for her to be able to get him there. From the look of it, it didn't look like there would be much she could do to help him anyway. And on top of all that, even if by some miracle she did save him, could she even look at him while trapped in that body? It would be hard enough as it was for her to overcome her issues with him enough to even give him a chance. Now he was trapped inside the body of a hideous giant monster.
Bulma exhaled deeply, trying to work out every angle. She also didn't want to spend the rest of her life bonded to this guy. She sighed again in frustration. Stupid bond! She cursed. Then an idea came to her.
Look, I don't know if you are aware of this or not, but Vegeta and I share a bond; and for whatever reason it didn't carry over in your body snatching idea. So, you and I are forever linked, buddy.
Oh, well that may not be so bad. You're a tad scrawny for my tastes, but decent-looking enough. I could live with having a woman like you warming my bed every night. He replied to her disgust. She had been hoping the idea would be just as unappealing to him as it was to her. I'd have to rip that brat from your womb, but other than that, I'm game. It shouldn't bother you any. Since I'm wearing your man's face and body now. You wouldn't even know the difference!
Dream on, you pig!
Oh, come on. It wouldn't be that bad. I'll even let you call me Vegeta.
Get the hell out of my head and get the hell out of his body and go back to your own, you fucking coward!
Hmmmn, Ginyu replied. No. Sorry, my dear. I'm liking the feel of this new body. I think I'll stay.
Get out! She screeched at him as loud as her mind could possibly think it.
I said no!
And I said yes! Get out, right now! Or I will make your life a living hell every second of every day until you leave!
Ha haa! I could say the same to you, girl! Come on! Can't we come to some sort of agreement?
No! I want you out of my head and for you to return Vegeta's body to him! I thought you were a high ranking warrior? All I see is a fool and a coward! You couldn't win on your own so you cheated! What's the honor in that?
Shut up!
Bulma grinned to herself, slightly. From what she remembered, this guy was stupid; dumber than a sack of hammers on a Thursday afternoon. Maybe she could somehow convince him to switch back with Vegeta? That was the only possible solution she could come up with at the moment. It was the only way to help Vegeta and the only way to keep her sanity. She would not live the rest of her life with this idiot in her head.
No! Coward! Loser! You're an honourless, pathetic excuse for a warrior!

Ginyu clamped his hands over his ears. "Geeze!" he lamented. "That mate of yours is quite the irritating harpy, Vegeta. How could you stand it?"
Vegeta chuckled. He hoped she was giving him hell. She may not want anything to do with him anymore, but he knew she would not want to be stuck with Ginyu in her head forever either.
Ginyu grit his teeth and scowled in annoyance. "Would you shut the hell up already?" he shouted.
"Ginyu, if you cannot control your outbursts, would you mind removing yourself from my throne room while I decide on what to do with Vegeta?" Frieza said to him dryly.
"It's not my fault, my Lord!" Ginyu protested. "She literally will not shut up. She's got quite the mouth on her."
"Then block her," Frieza suggested.
"I, I don't know how my Lord. Trust me, if I could, I would!" Listen up, you! You had better shut the hell up before I come down there and shut you up myself!
I'd like to see you try! You'll never be able to find me! You're too stupid! I am a genius, you know.
Can we at least come to some sort of compromise?
No! Get out of my head! And get out of Vegeta's body!
But I can't! I have nowhere to go!
That's not my problem! Now either leave now or be stuck with me screeching at you for an entire lifetime!
Look, there has to be a way to block each other. Can we not just do that?
That takes too much effort! Get out!
"Vegeta! How do you block this wench? I just can't take this anymore!"
"Beats me," Vegeta said unsympathetically, hoping he could hang in there just a bit longer to formulate some kind of plan.
Ginyu groaned and fell to the floor, his head in his hands. "Stupid bitch!"

Ginyu had given Bulma an idea. She could remembered when Vegeta had blocked her out. It had hurt. It had felt like a mental shove. She also remembered when she'd done it to him when he had first arrived in Frieza's throne room, he had nearly buckled from the force. Maybe if she did that enough times, the big oaf would decide that going back to his own body would still be better than being stuck with her. And so, that is what she did. She opened her mind up fully to him and then abruptly closed it a moment later.
How was that? She asked him, opening up the bond again. She then focused on all of her hate an anger and sent that to him as well; every ounce of it. She was banking on the possibility that he didn't know how to use the bond against her as well.
Please, stop. Ginyu said.
Nope. That's not the deal. The deal is, you give Vegeta back his body and then I'll stop. I can make it a lot worse for you. I'm only getting started. This is what you'll live with for the rest of your life if you don't get out NOW! Bulma screamed at him. When she got no reply from him, she then began to think of the most annoying songs from back home. The ones that she couldn't stand and would get caught in her head for hours upon hours; irritating commercial slogans, anything. Between thinking up new things to bombard Ginyu with, she would block him out of her mind as forcefully as she could. She grinned to herself as she began to think of a children's television program she used to love as a young girl. She and Chi-Chi used to sing the end song all the time until her mother would threaten them.
This is the song that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friend. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was and they'll continue singing it forever just because this is the song that never ends, yes it goes on and on…..

"Fuck my life!" Ginyu hollered, crouched on his knees on the ground, holding his head, pulling on his hair. "Make it stop!"
Vegeta frowned at Ginyu; whatever Bulma was doing, she had the Captain writhing in agony on the floor for the past several minutes. He decided that while Ginyu was making a scene and Frieza was shouting at him in disgust, this may be a good time to slowly inch his way closer to them. Maybe he could salvage just enough energy to put Ginyu in a headlock and persuade him to change back. Though he wasn't sure what to do about Frieza. He knew he didn't have the ki or energy reserves to put him off for even a moment.
Have you had enough, yet? Bulma asked him in as innocent a voice as she could. She was starting to feel mentally and emotionally drained from all of this; between being as obnoxious as she could possibly think of being to having to transmit all of her negative feelings over everything she had ever endured, it was slowly wearing her down. I know I have; but I could go on and on for hours and hours and hours…
No! No more! I'll do anything!
Anything, you say?
Yes! Anything!
Alright, switch bodies with Vegeta. She said sweetly.
No! Not that! Anything but that!
Oh, well, I'm sorry then. I'm going to have to start singing the never ending song again. And then, I'm going to tell you about all the reasons why Edward is better than Jacob! And why Bella is stupid!
"I don't even know who Edward and Jacob are, you crazy bitch!"
Vegeta couldn't help but chuckle painfully. He'd had the misfortune of sitting through most of the Twilight Saga on Bulma's ipod in the first few days she had been ill with her pregnancy. He had hated every moment of it, but had humored her because she had been so ill and there had been nothing he could do to help her; that and it made him feel less guilty for his original reaction to the pregnancy. She had told him that staying with her would help. So to his never ending shame, he had. What a painful bunch of rubbish that had been! He could honestly sympathize with Ginyu for a moment.
"Vegeta! Does this Woman of yours ever shut UP?"
"Nope." He replied, thankful that Ginyu was far too distracted from whatever it was that Bulma was putting him through that he hadn't noticed him slowly creeping up closer to him.

Bulma decided to take a very brief break. She continued to sit on the floor; now that the lights were back on and the ship wasn't thrashing around anymore, she felt a bit more relaxed. She sat for a moment trying to think about another plan to drive this moron out of her mind for good. She closed her eyes again and focused on what was going on with him. He was sitting on the ground and it looked like Vegeta was coming closer to him. Frieza was standing mere feet away from him. He sure looked different. He looked sleek and agile; a vast difference from the horned bulky form he had taken before she had left the throne room. Had she not known what a terrible person he was, she might have thought him beautiful in this form.
She watched calmly and a plan began to form at the back of her mind. This guy was stupid. Maybe she could convince him to switch bodies again since annoying him half to death wasn't working. From what she could tell, Vegeta was close enough that if he was paying attention, he may be able to jump in and switch back with him. Hey, loser!
What do you want now?
I had an idea. Bulma said calmly.
Oh do you, now?
Uh huh! Why don't you switch bodies again?
I already told you! I am not switching out of this body, my own is done. You must think I'm pretty stupid if you think I would return to that.
Oh, no. I don't think you are stupid at all. I was just thinking that maybe there was another body you could switch with? Then you wouldn't have to deal with me anymore.
Girl, there is no one else to switch with here besides Lord Frieza.
Ohh, but wouldn't you like to have his body? Just look! He exudes power and gracefulness. You could command the universe in that body. Everybody respects and fears him.
Hmmm. You may be on to something. Ginyu replied, looking at Lord Frieza carefully.
Oh, I know I am! I am a genius after all. She said haughtily. Come on! Do it! It's the only way you'll ever be free of me! It's either you do this, or I'll annoy you the whole rest of your life.
I thought you wanted Vegeta back? If I swap with Lord Frieza that means you'll be stuck with him.
Oh, I know. That is exactly what I am counting on.
Wait, what?
I doesn't matter! Just do it! Or I will start making your life hell again! She hollered at him.
I can appreciate that, but I don't think I want to go there. Lord Frieza in Vegeta's body could still kill me. If I do this he'll be royally pissed.
I don't care! It's worth a shot, right? It's either that, or… And with that, she slammed her mind shut again on him. Well? What's it going to be?
-0-0-0-
Vegeta watched as Ginyu eyed Frieza closely. He wondered if maybe he was considering doing another body switch.
He slowly continued to inch his way closer, thankful the Frieza and Ginyu did not notice. Frieza was either vainly inspecting his new form or yelling at Ginyu. He had all but forgotten about Vegeta at this moment.
Ginyu once began writhing on the floor and shouting out obscenities at Bulma. "Alright, alright!" he shouted and looked at Frieza with a concentrated scowl.
"What is it now, Ginyu?" Frieza asked irritably. "I told you to contain your outbursts!"
Vegeta watched closely, sensing that Ginyu was about to jump and switch bodies with Frieza. This may be his only chance to get back into his body. He could not mess this up! Everything was riding on this!
"Lord Frieza," Ginyu said to him, finally pulling himself together enough to stand up.
"What is it you fool?"
"Change Now!"
"What?!" Frieza shrieked in shock and outrage.
Vegeta took that as his cue and leaped in front of Ginyu. He swore that if this did not work or that his angle was off that lunging the way he was would be the end of him, but he did not care, he did not even think about it.
With the amount of pain he was already in, he didn't know if he had succeeded or not for a moment. He felt the familiar dizziness and disorientation as a beam of light hit him; it only lasted a moment before Vegeta collapsed on his knees as he realized he was back in his own body. He took a moment to catch his breath and turned to look at Ginyu, who was writhing in pain on the floor. He was back to himself! He patted his chest and looked at his gloved hands in relief.
Woman, Bulma! He called, reaching out to Bulma through the bond almost frantically. Vegeta could sense her; she was still on the ship. He had hoped that she had made it to the dock safely by now.
Vegeta! Came her almost immediate reply. You're back?
I am! Why are you still on this ship? Have you made it to the docks and Kakarott yet? Vegeta asked her, realizing just then that he hadn't given Kakarott instructions to leave without him.
No, I'm still trying to find the dock. I got lost! She said. Then the lights weren't working and when I did find the elevator, you were gone and replaced by that guy and so I've been concentrating on chasing him out of my head.
Woman, if you find Kakarott on your way to the ship, tell him to leave with you and your family. Vegeta told her urgently, phasing away from Frieza and Ginyu, trying to get some distance while he formulated a new plan.
I thought you wanted us to leave together? She asked him carefully.
It is not practical or safe for you to remain. The ship is damaged. When you get to the docks, tell Kakarott to go. I will find my own way. Just you make sure you get off this damned ship.
Alright. I'm almost there.

Bulma smiled to herself, sitting back on the floor, trying to catch her breath. She had the worst headache, but smiled despite of it. She could sense Vegeta. He was back and she was more than alright with that.
It had been a huge risk in convincing Ginyu to switch with Frieza. She did not even want to think if it had happened that way! How horrible would it have been to be bonded to Frieza for the rest of her life? She was just glad it worked out the way she had hoped it would. When she had noticed Vegeta trapped in that other body ever so slowly creeping his way closer to Frieza and Ginyu, she had come up with the idea since there was no way Ginyu would willingly go back into his own body.
She decided she had sat down for long enough and continued making her way to the docks. She had to be almost there! She stood up and consulted the map next to the elevator. All she had to do was head down the hall and take her first left and she would be pretty much home free. She felt a sight pang of guilt for leaving without Vegeta, but shrugged it off almost as quickly as it had come up. He had told her to go and that he would find his own way. Therefore, she rationalized that now that Vegeta had his own body back, things would be fine. She had helped in in her own way and now it was time for her to leave and find her way back to safety.
Bulma rounded the corner only to run into a frighteningly large pink soldier. "I'm sorry," she mumbled, trying to slip by him.
"Well, hello there, lovely." He crooned, latching onto her arm and pulling her back towards him. "This ship is screwed."
"Yes, sir." She replied stiffly.
"You look lost, little one."
"No, I'm not lost, thank you." She answered, unsuccessfully trying to pull her arm out of his grasp.
"Hang on there, let me have a look at you." He said with a chuckle. "You look very familiar."

Vegeta looked back at his former master as he struck Ginyu so hard the Captain slid across the length of the throne room.
"How dare you try and switch bodies with me, Ginyu!" Frieza shouted at him while continuing after him. "Why is good help so hard to find these days?"
"M-my Lord," Ginyu stuttered.
"I have given you everything, you fool!" Frieza snarled at him. He picked him up by the front of his armor. "And this is the thanks I get from you? I would have expected such disloyalty from Vegeta, but from you?"
Before Ginyu had the chance to answer in his defence, Frieza blasted him in the face, disintegrating him all together.
Frieza dropped what was left of Ginyu's armor and turned towards Vegeta. "I am finished toying with you, Vegeta. I hope you enjoyed your brief little victory. Now I am going to destroy you. I will leave you alive just long enough to see what I am going to do to that pathetic little mate of yours. Such a shame; after all she and the child she carries are both innocents in all of this and both of them had so much potential." Frieza said, shaking his head as though disappointed.
"All you do is corrupt and destroy the innocent." Vegeta shot back. "You corrupt every single thing you touch. Leave her out of this. This is between you and me."
"I am afraid it is you that brought her into this when you left my service to further pursue a life with her. You should have pretended she was still deceased, Vegeta. If you had, she would still be safe and sound. I had no idea that there was even the remote chance that she might have survived the blast. Had you left her be even after learning of her survival, she would not be involved in this. Now I must use her yet again to teach you where you stand and who you belong to. Only this time, I will make sure the job is finished."
Vegeta smirked at Frieza. "You will never touch her. She is well on her way off of this ship."
"Where you'll never find her again! She wants nothing to do with you, remember?" Frieza cackled. "Very well then, if she is gone, why don't you simply remain here and make a fresh start. I will give you this final opportunity, Vegeta. I will not hold any of this against you so long as you retain you place at my right hand remain loyal to me."
"Ha!" Vegeta laughed. "Dream on! The only thing I am going to stay here long enough to do is destroy you!" he shouted, lunging towards Frieza again, burying his fist deep into the lizard tyrant's gut, but not getting as deep an impact as he had been hoping to.
Frieza hissed, but recovered almost immediately, grabbing Vegeta's arm and twisting it, dislocating his shoulder. Vegeta gritted his teeth against the pain and sent a small ki ball into Frieza's face, at which point, the lizard let go of him.
"My face!" he snarled.
Vegeta was just about to come at Frieza again when the tyrant blew up the doors to the throne room and quickly left, tearing down the hall. Vegeta quickly snapped his arm back into place and took off after him without hesitation. "Finally giving up?" he gloated at the tyrant.
"Oh, no, my dear Prince." Frieza replied. "I am simply going back to grab my little investment piece. She must still be here. After all, you would not let her leave without you."
Vegeta stopped a moment and sought Bulma out. She was still on the ship on the second floor. He needed to get to her before Frieza found her. He frowned when Frieza sent a large ki ball through the wall of his ship before leaving Vegeta there. He cursed under his breath as he felt the suction beginning to drag him towards the hole in the ships wall. Before it could drag him out towards the breach, he quickly blew his own hole into the ceiling in an effort to beat him to the second floor where Bulma was. He once again thanked the gods for the bond. He would not have to waste any time aimlessly looking for her, he could find her almost immediately, while Frieza would have to search blindly for her. He only hoped he could make it to her before Frieza did and that the ship would hold out long enough for him to send Bulma on her way and finish this off for good.
Vegeta cursed as he landed on another floor of the ship where Frieza had obviously already been, there were holes punched into the outer walls and the air was very thin. He could not hear anything but the sound of vacuum as the air escaped out into the atmosphere. It was bad, but not bad enough to pull him towards the walls.
He blasted another hole just above him; Bulma was on that level, he could feel her. He headed up and began flying down the hall towards her. He was relieved to see that Frieza obviously had not made it to this level just yet, none of the walls had puncture marks in them.
Vegeta flew down the hall as quickly as he could manage, wondering why Bulma only seemed to be standing in one spot. He was about to ask her through the bond when he turned the corner and saw Dodoria with Bulma struggling behind him to get free.
"Look who I found running around." He announced, shoving Bulma in front of him roughly. She yelped as his grip tightened around her arm as he yanked her around like a rag doll.
Shit! Vegeta thought angrily. He hated Dodoria. Where the hell was Kakarott? What was he waiting for? He wasn't concealing his energy anymore so he should have been able to sense that the battle had commenced. The ship was highly unstable and shuttering in every which direction, that should have been another clue. He'd better be on his way here. He looked at Bulma, who was giving him a pleading look.
I'm sorry, I tried to get away from him. She said.
Did he hurt you?
No. Just my arm, where he won't let go of me; but I'm fine.
"Excellent, Dodoria," Frieza said with a smile as he suddenly appeared on the other side of Dodoria and Bulma; blood trickling down the side of his mouth beneath the burn marks from the blast Vegeta had sent into his face earlier. "Your timing couldn't be better either. We were just discussing, Miss Briefs, Vegeta and I, what to do with you."
Frieza cackled and clapped his hands together excitedly, looking back and forth between Vegeta and Bulma. "My, this seems to be a familiar predicament now, wouldn't you say, Vegeta?"
Vegeta snarled. He had to do something and fast but he needed to keep his calm.
"Oh, yea! Remember the last woman of yours I had a run in with, Vegeta?" Dodoria taunted, pulling Bulma closer to him. "You aren't very good at protecting your women, are you?"
"That was such an unpleasant experience for everyone involved, wasn't it, Vegeta?" Frieza asked, almost sympathetically.
"It wasn't for me." Dodoria laughed. "Hey, wasn't it this wench that you killed Zarbon over?"
"Indeed it was, Dodoria." Frieza agreed.
"I knew you had to be her! She was quite the little fox from what I remember. I don't forget easily." Dodoria said, looking Bulma over appreciatively. "You said I could have a piece of her and when I went to go and have my turn, I found Zarbon beaten to a pulp."
"That's right, Dodoria, I did tell you that you could do as you pleased and so did King Vegeta." Frieza said, walking closer to where Dodoria and Bulma stood. "I was hoping to not have to go this route this time with you, Vegeta. I actually wanted to keep your lovely mate around to help with technological developments to further my cause.
"Please do not take things personally, my dear," he continued on, touching the side of her face gently. "But I warned you to remain loyal to me. It seems that you have chosen to side with Vegeta rather than with me. That is fine. A waste of your talents and brilliance, but that is alright. You see I can still use you to teach Vegeta once again the consequences of crossing me."
"I didn't choose him over you," Bulma said defiantly. "I want nothing to do with either one of you!"
"She's a lot prettier and a whole lot feistier than the last one, Vegeta." Dodoria said, leaning down into Bulma's neck and taking a deep breath. Bulma stiffened up. "She even smells better too; I love the smell of fear."
Vegeta stood there, shaking with rage. Even with all his power at his fingertips, he felt completely helpless. He could not let this happen. He could not let Dodoria or Frieza hurt her. The last time they had taken someone from him had been hard enough, and he hadn't felt anywhere near as deeply for her as he did for Bulma. He hadn't had the chance, thankfully. What had happened to her had been unspeakable and uncalled for. He could not let that same fate happen to Bulma.
"Leave her be," Vegeta warned Dodoria. "She is weak and frail. She would be of no amusement to you."
"She must be of some amusement to you," Dodoria objected. "She's pregnant with your spawn, is she not? I can smell it."
"Leave her be, or I will destroy you," Vegeta said again with clenched teeth, ready to send a ki blast straight for him as soon as he moved Bulma at such an angle he could shoot at him and not get her in the crossfire or worse, have Frieza swoop in and snag her. "I am not as weak as I was the last time you took something that was supposed to be mine." He looked from Frieza back to Bulma and Dodoria trying to formulate a plan of escape for her.
"You see, that's the problem with you, Vegeta. You never want to share. Frieza and your father said I could have a piece of her once Zarbon was finished," Dodoria taunted. "I think you owe me for that."
"The only thing I owe you is a severe beating and a one-way trip to the next dimension for all that you have done to me and to everyone else who has ever had the misfortune of crossing your path," Vegeta said dangerously. "If you have any smarts at all, you'll leave the Woman alone and leave this ship. My fight is not with you unless you provoke me further." Duck, Woman. Now.
Bulma nodded and lunged herself as far downward as she could manage.
"I am not provoking you," Dodoria said innocently, looking confusedly at Bulma. "I-"
Vegeta phased in front of him and aimed the ki blast right for his head before Dodoria even had the chance to react. Before he went limp, Vegeta grabbed Bulma by her arm and pulled her behind him and away from Frieza, who was standing just a few feet away. Get back and stay behind me.
"Well, I see that I have made poor decisions in my choices in henchmen," Frieza grumbled. "Half are disloyal and the rest are utterly and completely useless!"
Vegeta laughed sinisterly at his former master. "You got too comfortable. You got lazy. I have planned this moment out since the day you first took me from my home. I have taken great delight in plotting your demise."
"You stupid monkey," Frieza scoffed. "You have no idea the first thing about running an empire."
"That is where you are wrong." Vegeta replied confidently. "You see, I take back what I said earlier about learning nothing from you, when in fact I have learned firsthand from you everything not to do! That is why I will succeed where you have failed."
Frieza cackled dryly. "I see, and should you miraculously succeed in defeating me today, do you think my absence will go unnoticed by my father and brother? I do realize that we are not close and that they reside on the other side of the universe, but do not be mistaken. They will seek to destroy whoever destroys me."
"Let them come. I do not fear them. I will do to them what I am about to do to you." Vegeta replied, taking a few steps back from Frieza, trying to not only put some distance between them and him but to also get Bulma closer to the hallway that would lead to the docks.
Frieza nodded and looked at the two of them. He knew Vegeta was stronger than him; even in his last, ultimate form. He was beaten, and he knew it. He smirked at the two of them and then launched a ki ball at the wall of the ship; if he couldn't win, then there was no chance in hell he would let them off the hook.
Bulma shrieked as a gust of wind blew by her, threatening to suck her through the hole in the wall. Vegeta grabbed her arm and pulled her close. It was a decent sized hole, but he figured he could still stand his ground, so long as Fireza didn't make it bigger or put another one in the ship's wall.
Bulma wrapped one arm around Vegeta's narrow waist and hooked her fingers through the shoulder strap on his armor with her other arm. She held on for dear life, struggling to not let go of him and not lose her breath.
"My, my," Frieza smirked. "Isn't that sweet. She despises you yet is still clinging on to you. I can bet that she would not last much longer than you can in space. The freezing cold temperatures. No oxygen. You will not be able to save both her and yourself, Vegeta."
Vegeta did not reply, he simply took a few steps back with Bulma so that she might be just a little closer to the exit.
Frieza chuckled and walked up to the hole he had just made and with his claws, began to tear it open even more, smirking even more as the hole quickly became a large gap.
Vegeta quickly turned with Bulma hanging onto him and began to fly towards the hall that turned down towards the docks, ignoring Frieza as he slowly made his way down the hall after them, punching holes into the walls and dragging his claws through the foundation, gutting the ship and exposing wires and pipes and poking holes straight through into the open atmosphere.
As soon as Vegeta reached the door to the docks and opened it, he tossed Bulma in front of him. "Kakarott!" he shouted. After a moment the other Saiyan appeared from the inside of one of the ships. "Where the fuck have you been?"
"I was waiting for you and Bulma." He replied innocently. "I could sense your power level and figured that you could handle Frieza on your own. Then when the ship started acting up, I figured it best to wait here so we could make a quick escape. The ship's ready to go."
"You fool!" Vegeta snarled at him. "Take the Woman and her family and go. Now."
"Frieza's not dead yet? What about you?" Kakarott asked in confusion
"No. I am going to finish him now." Vegeta said, pushing Bulma towards Kakarott. "The ship is damaged and is going to blow. Leave now, I will find my own way."
"Do you need help, Vegeta?" Kakarott asked, taking Bulma's hand and ushering her towards the ship.
"No," Vegeta said, shaking his head. "Go. Get the woman and her family out of here."
"How sweet!" Frieza's voice came from behind Vegeta. "Kakarott, how wonderful to see you again! It has been ages. I was simply stunned you had also survived that little explosion all those months ago, but am beyond relieved that you are alive and well!"
Kakarott glared at Frieza. "Return to your side of the galaxy. I can see that you cannot win this fight. Leave now and we will leave and go our separate way and let's end it on that."
"And what am I supposed to do there?" Frieza asked in an amused tone.
"Are you out of your mind, Kakarott?" Vegeta shouted at his first lieutenant. "Get out of here! I will finish this!"
"Vegeta, I can't leave without you." Kakarott replied, not taking his eyes off Frieza.
"Kakarott! You are to take the Woman and leave." Vegeta growled, beginning to feel somewhat irate. "That is a direct order!"
"But-"
"Leave!"
Kakarott looked in confusion from Vegeta back to Bulma. Why wasn't she fighting him on this? "Bulma?"
Bulma looked at Vegeta for a moment as though trying to decide what to say. "He gave me permission to leave and I don't want to be stuck here with either of them." She said coolly, nodding at both Vegeta and Frieza as she turned and walked into the ship.
"What the hell?" Kakarott sighed with a frown. "Alright then, if you don't think you need my help."
"I don't!" Vegeta snapped, turning his back on Kakarott and the ship.
"Oh, Vegeta," Frieza chuckled. "Over confident right to the end, hmm? Is it over confidence, I wonder or are you scared and do not want your woman and fellow comrade to witness your demise?"
"I want them gone so I will be completely free of distractions and do not want to continue holding myself back on their account. Their presence on this ship is the only reason you are still breathing."
"Oh. Is that your excuse?"
Vegeta bared his teeth and sent a ki blast at Frieza, knocking him back and through the doors; out of the docking bay all together. He leaped after him but then turned back to the ship, confirming that Bulma was indeed inside. Good. He thought to himself.
"You will watch her," he said to Kakarott. "I will find my way back to her. Just get her off this damned ship and once you land, she is not to leave your sight."
Kakarott scratched the back of his head in confusion as he watched Vegeta take off down the ship's hall in pursuit of Frieza. He wasn't sure what to do. He didn't want to leave Vegeta. The ship seemed to be failing; that was one major reason. And what if he really did need his help winning this battle? On the other hand, he did not want to disobey a direct order either.
And what was with Bulma? She seemed completely indifferent to Vegeta. That wasn't normal. The Bulma he knew would not want to leave Vegeta under any circumstances. He understood Vegeta's insistence on her leaving the ship, but he did not understand her cool acceptance about it. He had a really bad feeling.
The ship shook again and he could hear loud banging not far off from where he was; things must have gotten more intense now that Vegeta didn't have to worry about keeping Bulma safe. He decided he would ready the ship to leave at a moment's notice but decided to give Vegeta just a bit more time and worry about the consequences later on. There was no doubt in his mind that Vegeta would be able to defeat Frieza. He could sense both their power. Unless Frieza was majorly supressing his power level, Vegeta had this fight. You've got fifteen minutes, Vegeta. Then I'll go.

Vegeta looked down on the ground, cocked his head and smirked at his former master wondering what he should do with the fallen lizard tyrant? Once he had exited the ship dock bay, he had let go of everything that had been holding back and unleashed his full fury on Frieza. It had been almost too easy. Frieza hadn't managed to land a single blow. Now here he lay in the middle of the hallway, completely helpless. Now all he had to do was finish him. He could sense both Bulma and Kakarott. The disobedient fool had yet to leave. Perhaps if he did finish Frieza off quickly, he could catch a ride back home with them and hopefully begin making things right with Bulma if she let him.
He noticed from his peripheral vision Frieza's tail moving slowly towards him, no doubt an attempt to grab one of his limbs in order to try and regain the upper hand. Vegeta chuckled darkly, thinking to himself how many times had he been beaten by that tail? How many times had he been chocked and nearly strangled to death by it; the only time it would loosen up and give him any release was usually mere moments before he'd blacked out. How many times had he wished he could destroy it? Even during this battle, he had faltered and had been briefly at Frieza's mercy with his tail wrapped around his neck. With that in mind, he stomped as hard as he could into the middle of Frieza's tail; for many reasons. At this moment mostly to take out the lethal appendage before it took him out, as it had so many times before.
Vegeta laughed evilly in delight and satisfaction as he felt the delicate bones break beneath his foot. He reveled in it as well as the sound of anguish coming from Frieza.
"What's wrong? I thought you got off on this sort of thing. No?" he asked mockingly as he stepped on the next bone further down. "I cannot imagine why not. After all, it is one of the many lessons you forced on me too many times to count. Why not experience it for yourself?"
"Please don't." Frieza cried.
"Don't?" Vegeta repeated in an amused tone. "Why not? You've broken my tail before, took delight in dragging it out for hours and hours on end; breaking every bone one by one taking perverse pleasure in doing so." He said, slowly stepping on another bone.
"I was a young boy no more than 10 years of age the first time you beat me. You beat me to a pulp; to the point at which I could not even raise a hand to protect myself," Vegeta said in a dark tone. "The only bones not broken in my body had been the ones in my tail. You saw to that though. You slowly took your time, breaking each and every bone, much like I am doing to you at the moment." He finished, stepping on another delicate vertebra in the lizard tyrant's tail.
"The only difference was, you did it with your bare hands. I had cried out and begged you to stop as I lay in a pool of blood. Spitting and coughing and choking on my own blood as you did nothing but laugh and continue."
Frieza began to laugh evilly despite the pain he was in. "Are you sure it was pain you were crying out in or pleasure?"
Vegeta snarled as he stepped on another bone. "I am very sure!"
"Oh, come now, Vegeta. I was only having a bit of fun. You were always so uptight, even as a boy," he said through gritted teeth. "From what I recall, you thoroughly enjoyed yourself. So much so that I began to feel like you went out of your way to piss me off just to spend more time with me."
"Even when I did exactly as asked, you would find fault with me."
"I do not understand your issue, young prince," Frieza said his formal title with distain. "You and I are very much alike, Vegeta."
"I am Nothing like you!"
"I wouldn't be so sure. Look where you're at right this moment. You have me in quite a vulnerable position at the moment. One that you no doubt remember yourself placed in many times before. You could easily take advantage of me. I would not fight back. Take it. I encourage you."
Vegeta shouted in absolute disgust at the filthy insinuation coming from Frieza's mouth. He powered up a ki ball and aimed it at Frieza's tail, severing it.
Frieza screamed in pain. "My tail! How could you? You stupid monkey! Have you any idea what it is you've done?"
"I have a pretty good idea." Vegeta replied calmly with a vicious smirk.
"You are going to pay dearly for that!" Frieza snarled, shaking in rage and humiliation.
Vegeta laughed evilly. "I think not. I am bored now. This has been almost too easy. I must say I am almost disappointed!" he taunted, taking another step closer and savoring the moment of Frieza's nearly-complete defeat. He stood there, looking down at him, thrilled at the sight as he gathered a ki ball in his hand, readying for the final blow.

"Bulma!" cried Bunny as she ran towards her daughter the second she set foot on the small ship. "Oh, my! I thought you hadn't survived! This wonderful young man brought your father to find me!" she rambled as she embraced her daughter.
"Momma!" Bulma replied in near shock as her mother hugged her so tightly she thought her bones may break. "I can't believe it! You've been here all this time?"
"I have."
Bulma smiled as her mother let her go. She was numb. What an exhausting day! She looked around and saw her father standing not far behind her mother. "Dad, I was looking all over for you."
"I have been just fine. Vegeta and Kakarott found me in the lab. From there, Vegeta went to look for you and Kakarott and I went in search of your mother before heading here."
She nodded as she pulled him into an embrace as well.
"Now where is that lad you call your husband? Is he alright?"
Bulma nodded and then shrugged. "Yea, I think so. He's still fighting with Frieza."
"Then we shall wait for him. If it was not for him, both your mother and I would still be on this horrible ship without the hope of any sort of escape. Until only a few hours ago, I had no knowledge your mother had even survived,"
"Yea, about him,"
"I cannot wait to meet this prince!" her mother gushed. "To think, our little girl ended up with a prince after all that has happened! I can't wait to hear all about it!"
"Now, now my dear," Dr. Briefs interrupted his wife before letting her get too carried away. "I am sure Bulma is quite tired. She has been through much these past several weeks. There will be plenty of time for her to tell you the tale. Bulma, there is someone else we have found and are bringing back with us."
Bulma frowned in confusion, glad for the distraction from her mother's prodding about Vegeta. She had no idea what she was going to tell either of them about him. She didn't even know half the answers herself! "Who?"
Yamcha sheepishly poked his head out from around the corner of the ship. "Hey, B."
"Yamcha!" she exclaimed, rushing towards him and hugging him. "Oh my god! You survived?"
"I did," He replied, exhaling in relief. He had been afraid she wouldn't speak to him once she had made it to the ship. "Your mother rescued me from the harem. I was only there a few hours when she happened to find me and snuck me out to help her out in the kitchen. I've been fine all this time thanks to her."
"What?" she frowned. "How did you end up there?"
"Lord Frieza sent me there. Don't you remember?"
"No." she said blankly. "I only remember that the last time I saw you was a few days before Earth was attacked."
"Oh," Yamcha replied in confusion. "Well, I'm fine. Nothing happened to me."
"I am so glad!" Bulma said hugging him again.
Yamcha smiled down at her, beyond elated that she wasn't screaming at him.
Kakarott stood there watching the exchange in pure confusion
"Hey, let's get going." Yamcha said to Kakarott, still hugging Bulma.
"No, we are waiting for Vegeta." Kakarott replied firmly. He could not believe that Bulma was fine with leaving Vegeta here! What threw him further was the fact that she seemed completely comfortable and happy that Yamcha was even here! Hadn't it been him that had taken Bulma and brought her here in the first place? Dr. Briefs nodded at Kakarott in agreement. At least he had him on his side.
"We should wait for him," Bulma agreed quietly, after a moment.
"But Bulma, he's no good!" Yamcha objected. "You can finally be free of him."
"I know that! But he saved me and my family; he's the father of my child and he deserves a chance to get away from Frieza just like anyone else." She said firmly. "It's the least we can do. I saw him fighting Frieza earlier on. He's got this."
"Child? What?" Bunny exclaimed. "Oh goodness, gracious! I'm going to be a grandmother as well? I think I am going to faint! Trunks, did you know about this?"
"Calm down, dear and let the poor girl be," Dr. Briefs said again to his wife. He hadn't had the time or the opportunity to let her in on everything that had happened to Bulma; that she may or may not remember Vegeta or anything before her arrival onto Frieza's ship. For all he knew, she knew nothing of him aside from the obvious. He had been hoping to not get into the specifics until after Vegeta arrived and they were all safe and far away from this horrible place. "She has been through just as much as the rest of us, perhaps even more. I am sure all will be explained in due time."
Bulma sent her father a grateful look. She was so glad he was here and was safe; she had known he would be able to give her some answers. She was sure he didn't know everything, but she knew he could be trusted to give her the truth about what he did know and advise her of the best direction in her best interests.
"It's settled then." Kakarott announced, leaving the small ship and standing watch at the ship docks in wait for Vegeta.

Frieza turned and looked over his shoulder, his eyes widening in shock as full realization of his defeat finally began to sink in. "Wait, Vegeta!" he pleaded. "Don't do this. Let me go."
"And why the hell would I do that?"
"Your comrade Kakarott was right. We can both go our separate ways! I will go back to my side of the universe. I will leave you my empire to do with as you please. Just let me live."
"That is a tempting offer," Vegeta replied, pretending to consider it. "However now that I am about to destroy you, that means that I will have your empire by default anyway. Sparing your life would be pointless, not to mention unsatisfying."
"My father will be after you." Frieza threatened again. "He will come after you and your woman and child. Please, let me go and I will ensure you and your pathetic family are left alone."
"I don't think so. I am well aware that the power your father and brother hold combined pales in comparison to you; you boasted about it enough times. Now that I have beaten you, and you have been almost no challenge to me at all, I can rest assured that if they do come after me or my family, I will be able to destroy them with even more ease." Vegeta gloated. "In fact, I hope they do come! I will need something to keep me on my toes."
"You fool." Frieza spat. "My father commands the entire other half of the galaxy. I command this half, he has the other half at his disposal. He will send legions after you and your family and wipe out your whole entire race!"
"I would love to see him try!"
"He will succeed if you do not spare me." Frieza said almost desperately.
"And how do I know that if I do decide to let you go, that you won't just come back and destroy us?"
"You have my word,"
Vegeta threw his head back and laughed maniacally. "Your word? That is all you have? Your word is useless!" he spat, still laughing at the beaten up tyrant as though he had told the funniest joke ever. "How many times have you given me your word only to go back on it when it did not suit you? How many times did you conveniently forget you had given me your word and then I was never sent home or sent on a more horrific mission than the one before it? Or given a severe beating despite your word that had I done your bidding as asked, I would receive none. How many times, Frieza?" he asked viciously, digging his heel into the severed tail stump.
"Forgive me, and let me live." He cried out. "Your woman would not like it if she could see you at this very moment!"
"Like I give a damn! She is potentially forever lost to me thanks to you. The least I could do, would be to ensure her safety by ridding the universe of your disgusting presence!" Vegeta said angrily, ready to fire the ki ball at his enemy.
"No! Wait!" Frieza pleaded. "I could learn to serve you. I could serve at your right hand. Together we would be unstoppable. We could combine our empires and rule it all!"
"It is pathetic, listening to you begging for me to spare your life," Vegeta said to him. "You can serve me in hell!" he shouted at him before launching the ki ball into Frieza, taking great delight in the sound of his scream and the smell of burning flesh.
Surprisingly, it had not taken long. Vegeta stood there, looking down in awe at the remains of the horribleness of Frieza. His first inclination was to sever his head and bring it back with him as a trophy, but decided not to do that. The ship was surprisingly quiet; the silence almost deafening. He wondered if all of the soldiers had left in panic that the ship might blow. There was no one around to have witnessed his victory, no one around to challenge him on behalf of their fallen leader; not that he had any worry over defeating anyone who may still be lingering.
Vegeta continued to stand there. He was proud to have destroyed Lord Frieza, but now that he had, he did not know what to do now. He had dreamed and obsessed over this for almost half his life! He felt relief, but nothing much more than that. He felt almost numb. And in the back of his mind all he could think was: I did it. Now what? It was almost unbelievable to him that he had actually done it. He had killed Frieza. He had done it alone and on his own and with the exception of an injured shoulder, he was standing there mostly unscathed.
Vegeta? Came Bulma's voice in his mind. She sounded as though she were unsure. Are you alright?
It is finished. He replied. He had all but forgotten about her in these past few moments he had stood there staring in disbelief at the corpse of Frieza. I won. You will be safe now.
Then hurry! We are waiting for you on the docks.
I thought I told you and Kakarott to get off this ship! He replied harshly.
Kakarott and my father wanted to wait for you. She replied shortly before adding, and as much as I wanted to get out of here, I agreed.
You are foolish. He said, still staring at what was left of Frieza. I will be there momentarily.
Vegeta stood there another few moments, still staring at his former tormentor. His former master. The face and body of evil incarnate. The guest of all his nightmares since he was a young boy; the only being to have ever frightened him to his core. He was almost waiting for him to jump up and attack him the second he let his guard down; to beat him to a pulp while laughing evilly at him, taunting him for foolishly believing that he could actually defeat him. To ridicule him for his arrogance as he always did.
As the seconds ticked, to his astonishment, Frieza remained lifeless on the ground. He wasn't sure how long he had been standing there staring. It could have been minutes, it could have been hours. He had no idea. He knew he should leave though. Thoughts of Bulma returned to him. He could focus on making her remember and want him again. He could rest easy now knowing that she would be safe, that their child would be safe. Frieza would never be able to torment anyone or any child ever again. He felt the side of his mouth twitch up into a smirk at the thought that Frieza was gone forever.
He had done it.
