There's angst here
and some gore as well as a little history about Heero's past with the Count and
Relena's relevance to her father as well. I hope 3 chapter isn't to
boring for you guys.

Heero stumbled over to the
unconscious girl and fell onto his knees, fighting with his hunger so as not to
tear the girl apart. He ripped open the top of her gown and wiping away the few
sweaty strands of hair that stuck to her neck he was at her throat in a blink
of an eye, drinking of her. He closed his lids over his yellowish orbs, feeling
his strength returning and his nerves calming. Just as he was about to finish
off his meal he felt extra weight on his back along with his hair being pulled
and his spine being punched; his ears rang with cries for him to get off of the
girl.
He tore away from Relena.
"Get off me!" He growled, his anger returning as within seconds he
had shucked both the young people off of him and was on his feet. "I
wasn't going to kill her!"
"Could have fooled me
mister! She saved your sorry ass ya know!" Duo yelled, having grabbed a
long thick stick and holding it in front of him as if it were, a sword. Hildie
was beside him with an armful of rocks.
Heero stood back, his arms
folded across his chest, quite amused by the display. "You would be
like two mice trying to take down a bull. Take your friend. She won't die by
any means. Or haven't you noticed she is not like you."
"Then what am I?" So
taken in with the two others in front of him he did not even feel the presence
of the girl he had just bitten until she was behind him.
He turned his head to the side
and looked at her that way. Most females would at least be shaking having just
been bitten, but then from what Heero had seen of this girl, he was not
surprised that she was standing so composed and unafraid. "You seriously
do not know?"
"I've lived in the
monastery orphanage since I was seven, my mother long dead, my father and
brother unknown to me, not that I wish to know them at all."
He had turned completely facing
her now, getting a good look at her for the first time. She was tall, long and
lean yet showed the signs of maturing womanhood. Her eyes though large, seemed
quite intelligent and determined. He reached out his hand to her throat and
with his fingers smoothed over the marks that his fangs had left. He felt a
certain something he could not describe come over him. It was a feeling as if
he, his soul had just been completed. He snatched his hand away, his mask of
indifference firmly back in place. "You are like me, obviously. One of
your parents was human, the other one was, a vampire. My bite could not have
inflicted much damage on you even if I had tried. I would have to have cut off
your head in all seriousness if I had wanted you dead. I figured it was better
to take of you than a human villager. I don't kill unless I have to."
"So, you're
here to help these people?"
Heero answered Duo's
question without taking his eyes off of Relena. "I give nothing away
without me getting something in return."
"I knew you couldn't
be too nice of a guy."

Prince Milliardo, as
sure footed as he was able, made his way through the doorway of his father's
throne room, the eerie silence of the area telling him his father was not, at
the moment, a happy man. The blonde boy fell to his knees, his head sunk in
obedience to his father as he profusely apologized.
The king's form,
though somewhat old was still tall and strong and it was in said form that he
stepped slowly down the steps leading fris tis thrown to stand in front of his
kneeling son.
"The reports
told me you were stopped by a Stalker and a young girl...I raised you to be a
warrior, a conqueror, not a weakling who falls to mere mortals, especially
those that are little girls.
Milliardo took a
deep breath, calming himself before speaking. "As I said father, I
apologize for disappointing you and bringing shame and dishonor upon the house
of Peacecraft, but, the man and girl they were not human, not entirely. In
fact, I believe the girl may have been Relena, my sister who we've thought long
dead.
The Count's eyes
grew wide, though his brow was still furrowed. He ordered his son to his feet
asking him to explain.
"When I looked
into her eyes, father, I could see mother so clearly, I could sense a
connection with her, as if I had known her before. If it was not Relena father,
then it is surely a girl who carries her reincarnated spirit. But, perhaps
mother did not end my sister's life when she ended her own."
A low menacing growl
vibrated from the king's throat and echoed through the room; it seemed as if
the walls themselves shook as he began to bellow.
"That
backstabbing bitch that was your mother, she dared to make a fool of me? I
should have known she would not have killed her own child even if desperation
drove her to take her own life! If only I had captured her before her
death and had been allowed to make her suffer and scream in agony until she gave
up your sister!" His voice suddenly grew low again as if lost in his own
thoughts. "But how...where...of course. The monastery. Julianna's
father was a great financial supporter of their trivial causes. Those monks
there would have done anything for her, not to mention their late king. Why had
I never thought of it before?" He spun back around to face his son,
his long ebon cape slapping the youth's face in its whirlwind. Milliardo
touched his stinging cheek.
"Do you wish to know about
the Stalker?"
"I know all
about him. We've faced each other before. He was just a mere half-breed boy,
not much older than you were when we first laid eyes on each other. He is one
of many who vowed to kill me after I brutally defiled and murdered his mother
in front of his eyes. He is nothing more then an itch in my ear. I worry not
about him. But as for your sister, if she in fact, still breaths life than it
will become our goal to find her."
Milliardo swallowed thickly, as
the swirl of hate engulfed his heart in its whirlpool. Hate for his mother's
abandonment and choosing of his sister over him and now it seemed that his
father had begun to do the same thing. He could no longer contain his anger.
"Why father? Why is it now
you are so desperate to seek out my sister? Why must I be forsaken once again
for her? Am I not good enough? Am I not your heir? Am I not your son? Stronger
and smarter than any blasted daughter could ever be!"
The ending of Milliardo's rant was
met with a backhanded slap from the Count, which drove him straight onto his
ass.
"Insulate child! I need to
find her so you are not forsaken! Upon her birth I sensed a great power
dwelling inside her very being, a power to rival even my own and well surpass
that of yours! It is a power that must be harnessed to serve us. I was planning
on beginning her training when your mother stole her away!"
The young prince pulled his body
up off the floor, only to bring it dowce ace again into a subservient kneeling
position before his father. "I did not realize that my sister was so
dangerous, though I find it hard to believe, sire."
"Stand on your two feet,
boy." His father's tones were now normal though cracked somewhat due to
his age, even for a vampire, he was considered well beyond his years. "I
must realize you are still young in your own right, a newly developing fetus in
vampire years. I will forgive your screw-ups if you are willing to learn
from your mistakes."
Milliardo was to his feet, his
eyes raised as well peering into those of his father's. "I will try,
my lord."
***********************************************
"Wait! Sir! You
must tell me more!" Relena gasped the words as she trotted alongside the
Stalker who was moving incredibly fast, back to the inn.
"I'm not your
teacher child. Take your little friends and go back home. I will collect my
pitiful fee and leave this sorry excuse for a village."
"No!"
Anger flashed in the forgotten princess's eyes as she grabbed onto the arm of
his cloak and dug her feet into the ground tugging him backward. He came to a
halt and gave her a look of astonishment, followed by one of irritability, but
she did not release them or stop from speaking.
"How? How can I
return home after doing what I had just done? Knowing what it is I know about
myself? I've nowhere to go? No place to call home anymore. I saved your life
God damn it! You owe me something and I'll not leave until you pay me for what
is rightfully mine!"
Heero opened his mouth to speak,
but found his word's suddenly lost in her argument. For one of the few times in
his life he had no snappy comeback to retaliate with. "I can see why
you're parents abandoned you, girl. You're mouth is to much for one to
handle."
Relena stretched her
neck a little quite proud of herself having stomped the bloated words of the
egomaniac. "Then is it agreed upon? You will allow me to travel with
you until I see that your payment to me is paid in full?" Heero then saw
her two friends walking up behind her, he saw her turn her head to look at
them. The three said no words between each other, but he could tell that they
were all in agreement; she turned back around to face him. "Correction,
sir, you will allow the three of us to travel with you."
Heero clenched his jaw
feeling as if, at that moment he could pull out his own hair. "Fine! But
you best be able to keep up because I'm not going to allow any of you to slow
me down."
"Then, sir, it is a done
deal." She extended her hand, Heero looked down at it; he was not one to
shake many hands. He hesitantly accepted it. "Then we're all set, so let's
go."
Heero smirked and
chuckled. "Not so fast girl, the first order of business is to get you
three some decent traveling clothes, unless you prefer to roam around the
countryside in nightshifts. Then some horses as well, the townspeople here
should be more than willing to give us what we need for our services. Go over
to the seamstress's house and see what she has, I'll take care of the
rest."
"You two go
first," Relena told Duo and Hildie, "I'll stay here and make sure
"you, sir" do not make a run for it and leave us behind."
"Have it your
way!" He growled, irritated to no ends by her presence already. He had
never had partners and he was not about to start now, no matter what plans this
girl may have in her head. A thin smile then formed across his face. Yes,
that's what he would do, he would allow them to travel with him for a few days
then, he would dump the pests off and rid himself of them. And, he knew exactly
where he would take them.
