Notes: This Fic is one of my many strange ones. Reviews would be nice. For those who were wondering why I made Duo the mute? I sort of got tired of having Duo as the "talkative" one and hyper this and hyper that. I wanted a change up things. Like I said. This is one of my strange fic's that I just can't get out of my head.

Wufei was working on his latest medical discovery when the prince stormed in.
"Where is Duo!" Heero demanded, but Wufei pretended to not hear him. "I am asking you one more time. Where is Duo?" Heero said.
Wufei finally looked up to Heero sympathetically. "I'm sorry but he's gone" Wufei said calmly.
"Gone! Gone where?" Heero asked getting hysterical.
"He told me that he was no longer needed...that the prince doesn't need him anymore. I tried to tell him that it's not true, but he won't listen to me," Wufei said.
"But I thought the servant said that Duo was in coma" Heero said.
"Exactly, he 'was' in a coma until I healed him. When I left the room to get some bandages for him, he was gone. Like he disappeared into thin air. I don't know where he went. There was only one doorway in that room and I was there."
"That's impossible," Heero said backing away. "My Duo...Duo would never leave me. He promised..." Heero said with tears in his eyes. He suddenly could not take being in the same room as Wufei, not to mention his guilt. Heero fled to his bedroom and locked himself in.
"What have I done...?" Heero said over and over again. Saying silent apologies to the boy who is not there...who would never be there again.

Heero woke up when he heard a knock at the door. He did not want to go anywhere or do anything but lay at the foot of his bed where the scent of Duo still lingered. A beautiful sent of blooming lilacs.

"Heero" a voice demanded on the other side. It was his father. "Come out here right now and explain why you are locking yourself in your room," Heero's father said.

Heero did not get up to open the door whatsoever. This forced the king to use the master key to open the door. When the king finally got the door open he saw his son in such a worn out condition, he could not help but feel sorry for him, but that was still not the proper way for a prince to behave.

"I have invited Princess Relena from the Sank Kingdom over to stay for a while. Maybe she could help you through this difficult time. God knows her brother has help me through mine" The king said, turned around and left Heero's room.

True to the king's words, Relena arrived the very next day. She got herself settled in quite well before she went to meet the prince who she found in the library.
"Hello Heero" Relena said curtly, but Heero chose to ignore her and continue with reading the upside down book.
"You are aware that the book is upside down right?" Relena pointed out with a giggle.
"Go away," Heero grumbled; Heero knew exactly what his father was up to. Letting the girl come into the castle and cheer him up and the next thing you know it, and engagement would be settled. Not over his dead body would he let that happen. Heero swore that he would love only one person and that person was Duo.

The next thing that came out of Relena's mouth surprised Heero. "Heero, you might have some misunderstanding. I am only here for an important peace matter. I am not here because of what you think I am here for, so please, don't be like this. I would be in the gardens if you want to talk," Relena said slowly making her exit, leaving Heero to ponder on what she had just said.

When lunch rolled around, Relena did not appear, nor did she appear for the rest of the day until suppertime.
"Oh I must have lost track of the time! I had so much fun today. I met a garden boy and he made me these beautiful crown of roses!" Relena squealed. "Here Heero," Relena handed Heero a n ofn of lilacs. "He made you one also! He told me to give this one to you because he heard you were pretty fond of lilacs"

Heero took the flower crown and held it close. He inhaled the strong wonderful smell. 'So much like Duo' Heero thought as he unconsciously let a tear escape the confines of his eyes.
"Is there something wrong?" Relena asked seeing that Heero was quite upset with something.
"Iie, there is nothing wrong, I want to see this garden boy sometime" Heero said as he set the flowered crown down and ate his supper in silence.

The very next day, Relena yet again disappeared to the garden's to see the garden boy and did not come back until supper.

"Oh Heero it was so beautiful here and I had so much fun talking to the garden boy, he is so happy all the time, it is so rare to see someone so happy and full of life, I can't wait to see him again!" Relena gushed.

"If that young boy is so great, why don't you invite him over to dinner" Zechs, her brother asked. "If that is alright with you Treize..." He said.

"No, its no problem at all. Maybe he could cheer my son Heero up while he is at it," Treize said giving Heero a small pat on the back.

"Oh I hope you don't mind. I gave some clothes to the garden boy. The clothes he worn were practically rags!" Relena said.

"And where did you find those clothes?" Heero asked Relena. There was no way she could have gotten a set of clothes out of thee sie since she didn't live at all here.

"Oh I found them at the foot you're your bed Heero. I won't think you would mind, they looked like servants clothes and you certainly won't wear such attire..." Relena babbled, unknown to her that Heero was about to erupt in anger.

"You did what!" Heero nearly shouted, making Relena shrink back. "Those clothes are mine! They belong to someone and I want them back!" Heero demanded.

"But I gave it to him, I just can't take back something I give," Relena said.

"You will, those clothes weren't yours to give," Heero growled and stormed off.

**The next day**

Relena again disappeared to meet the garden boy. It has almost been three months Relena has stayed at the Princes castle and she enjoyed every moment she had with the garden boy. King Treize had a talk with Heero about giving to the less fortunate and Heero reluctantly, or more likely, was forced to give in and let the garden boy have the clothes. No they were his Duo's clothes.

After that incident, Heero didn't ever want to see that Peacecraft girl again, so he did not expect her to be joining them for lunch since she has always skipped it to spend her time with the garden boy. For all Heero cared, she could just go marry that junk boy.

Relena plopped down on the chair just in time for lunch to be served.
"Relena my dear, what a surprise to join us for lunch! I thought you would go to that garden bo- I mean yorienriend" Treize said.
"Oh I did see him, but he was not feeling so well. He told me to come back tomorrow," Relena said.
"Oh that boy had some nerve to tell off the princess like that" Zechs joked.
"Brother please, he has a name and it is a pleasant name, one I have never heard of" Relena said.
"Give us his name and get it over with! I want to eat" Heero growled.
"Not until I show you this wonderful gift he gave me in apology that he couldn't make it" Relena said as she took out a small pouch and withdrew the item.

Heero's breath caught. It was a simple pearl necklace, but it was beautifully hand made. The pearls have been soaked in melted gold and had a hold in the middle where a diamond tear was placed carefully in each pearl.

"How could a garden boy have such money to buy such and exquisite necklace?" Zechs asked in amazement.
"He didn't buy it, he said he made it. He said he wanted to give it to the prince's bride when the prince Heero gets married, but he's afraid he won't have a chance to. He's sad most of the time when I am with him. He says that he misses someone very dear to him that would make him happy again. I just hope that Duo would find happiness soon," Relena said.
