SUMMARY: Cooler wants Vegeta as his sex slave and heads to Chikyuu to get him. Lots of angst, and I know how everyone loves that.

Chapter 4 - He's being beaten to submission

Cooler showered, all the while dreaming of his conquest of the Saiyan Prince. He dried himself with a quick burst of ki and headed to the throne room with a satisfied grin plastered on his face. He hadn't felt as good as he did right then in a long while. He was more than tempted to go back to his chambers and sleep, but that could wait. And besides, his bed would be so much nicer when he could snuggle up with the Saiyan no Ouji.
He rubbed his hands together greedily at the very thought. Of course, Frieza would probably not agree, but Cooler was eldest and could claim anything of Frieza's at any time.
But of course, Frieza could always contest the claim. But it was pointless. Cooler had always been his superior in strength and intelligence. His empire was proof of that, almost encompassing Frieza's own territory.
In his mind, Frieza would always be his whiney little brother, whose only attribute that rivaled his elder brother's was his arrogance. The doors of the throne room slid open. Several of Frieza's men filled the room.
"Depart slaves. I wish to speak to my dear younger brother alone." He commanded in a ringing voice. Frieza scowled, but dismissed his men with a wave of his hand.
"That was rather rude, my brother." Frieza snapped once they were alone. The elder Ice-Jinn ignored the admonishment and decided to not waste any more time.
"I'm taking Vegeta." Cooler said with a grin. He had the momentary pleasure of seeing Frieza's eyes widen in astonishment before narrowing to little slits on enmity.
"You will do no such thing-" Frieza began before Cooler cut him of with a peal of cynical laughter.
"My little brother, I do what I like! You speak as if you could stop me." Cooler said with a raised brow and a haughty smirk. Frieza scowled.
"It has been too long since we have tested our strength against each other." Cooler snorted.
"I love how you put on airs. I think you meant it's been too long since I kicked your scrawny ass."
"We shall see." Frieza hissed.

Frieza was inwardly seething as they left the ship and entered the cold and silent void in which all life was spawned and floated silently around their stars. How dare Cooler do this? Vegeta was his by all rights! Forcing him to fight for someone he already owned- it was infuriating. But he strained to try and remain calm. He needed the Brat Prince. He was skilled and powerful and he was nowhere near Frieza or Cooler's league in regards to strength. He was the perfect tool. Frieza watched his brother, waiting for him to make his move. But he had to remain calm and not let his rage overpower him. Cooler excelled at infuriating the younger Ice-Jinn, and it often had led to his advantage in earlier brotherly skirmishes, but Frieza would not let down his-
A powerful blow almost sent him flying into the hull of his own ship. He stopped moments before impact. He shook his ringing head and shot away just as a few of his men began to crowd at the windows.
"Damnit, now we have an audience." Frieza snarled, dodging a ki blast. He sped away from his ship to avoid its destruction. Cooler flew after him with a wild grin.

"What is going on?" Zarbon murmured in amazement. He had seen his master and elder brother begin to fight, as did half of the "Exterminating Crew" as he liked to call them.
"Why would they fight?" Dodoria gasped, his eyes wide with fear and awe. Zarbon shook his head, not understanding himself, but feeling that same nervous dread that his cohort was feeling.
"We should move the ship away-" his words died as Frieza sped off with Cooler hot in pursuit. Dodoria and Zarbon exchanged uneasy glances.
"Zarbon! What is happening!?" a voice cried. Zarbon smiled briefly as Jeice ran towards them.
"We do not know for sure." Zarbon sighed as Jeice drew close and clutched his arm.
"Everyone was watching in the mess hall when I left there."
"So everyone has seen then." Zarbon sighed again, rubbing his temple. He would have to send Dodoria down there and make sure no one was trying to do anything too stupid. He gave the pink, spiky soldier his orders and switched his gaze back to the viewing portals.
"I'm not sure this has anything to do with it or not, but he was coming from the Saiyan's quarter's earlier." Jeice said after a moment. Zarbon sneered in disgust.
"What could those stupid monkey's have to do with it?" Jeice shrugged.
"I don't know."

"Vegeta!" The young Saiyan tensed for a moment before he recognized the voice of Radditz.
"What?" Vegeta said, his voice barely above a murmur. Radditz had to strain to hear him and when the soft voice reached his ears it took him a moment to convince himself that it had been Vegeta who had spoken.
The boy had not moved from his position on his bed, his bac the the door as he stared into space. Radditz frowned in confusion. Whatever could be ailing the boy? He usually bit Radditz's head off for walking in without announcing his presence first.
"Come watch Frieza get his ass kicked." Radditz said slowly, trying to decipher Vegeta's mood.
Vegeta whipped around to face him, his confusion apparent.
"By who?"
"His older brother-"
"Cooler." Vegeta cut in, his expression suddenly cold.
"Yes." Radditz replied hesitantly. "You know of him?" Vegeta turned his back to the older Saiyan.
"Get out." Vegeta said, ignoring the question, his voice again as lifeless as it had been at first. Radditz knew better than to disobey when the younger Saiyan was in such an odd mood and made a hasty exit.

Dodoria groaned when he saw every fighter on board standing in the dining hall clustered near the windows shouting madlytheythey watched the fight. Even the Ginyu force was there (minus Jeice). He scanned the room. No one was acting too foolish. Even the Saiyans were behaving. And then he noticed there was one Saiyan unaccounted for.
"Where could the brat prince be?" he murmured aloud. His new favorite sport was taunting the lad. He was so easy to enrage and he made an excellent punching bag. And he despised their Master.en Fen Frieza himself knew and that irked Dodoria to no end. Why he favored the little bastard, he could never figure out. He had tried many times to cause trouble for the boy and even when his plans succeeded perfectly, Frieza gave the boy a minor beat-down and that was it. It was completely unfair. The boy might even replace him one day if by some miracle his power grew to surpass those of Frieza's two right-hand men. And it would have to be a miracle because as far as he could tell, the boy was a runt.
He tapped the side of his scouter.
"Zarbon, everyone is in the dining hall with the exception of Vegeta the monkey boy."
"They are behaving?" Zarbon snapped back.
"Yes." Dodoria grated in annoyance.
"Fine, then stay there and make sure they continue to do so."
"What am I a fuckin' baby-sitter?" Dodoria groaned after communications were cut off.

Zarbon frowned. Surely the elder Saiyans had informed the young one of what was transpiring. And everyone knew of his hatred for Frieza. For what reason would he miss this fight? If Cooler defeated their Master they would be free- unless Cooler claimed them all.
Jeice's gaze was thoughtful.
"Does Vegeta not claim to hate our Master?" he murmured
"Practically every day." Zarbon sighed. "And yes, I remember what you said. You saw Cooler leave Vegeta's room, and now Lord Frieza and Cooler are fighting, and Vegeta isn't there to watch and pray for them to kill each other."
"Perhaps Lord Cooler has killed Vegeta and that is why they are fighting." Jeice said, his eyes lit up with hope. Realization dawned in Zarbon's eyes as well.
"But wouldn't Nappa and Radditz be trying to escape right now? They're useless and they know it." Jeice's features crumpled in disappointment.
"Yes, I suppose your right." He frowned. "But then-"
"Perhaps we should go find the Saiyan Prince." Zarbon said with a grin.

Vegeta tugged his clothes on, almost tearing them in his haste. If ever he had a chance to escape now was it. But then a thought stalled him. They would see his pod, they had to be fighting in the cold vacuum outside his window. The ship would be tearing apart at the moment if they were fighting onboard. He groaned in dismay at his stupidity. The thought of freedom had almost driven him wild and he had barely spared any thought to his escape until he was nearly ready.
His armor fell from nerveless fingers and he slumped to his knees with a choked cry. His only escape was death. It had been that way since he first came on board. Nothing had changed. The only thing that might change was who held his leash. He kicked his boots off of his feet and tore his shirt off. The adrenaline that had raced through his body moments earlier drained away like blood from a gaping wound. His eyelids slid shut as he crawled onto his bed and collapsed with a sigh.
He knew he should fight. He always had before, and a small part of him wanted to. But now it just seemed pointless and stupid.
The door slid open.
His fingers curled into his hair as he repressed a groan of dismay. It was Cooler, coming to claim his prize. Vegeta bit his lip, feeling a sudden, strangely uncomfortable feeling, his insides felt full of gross, slimy, squirmy things. He slowly sat up and blinked in the harsh light streaming in from the hall.
"What are you doing monkey?" He relaxed instantly, the strange tension suddenly leaving him enough to think clearly. It was Jeice, Zarbon's little- oh.
He couldn't finish the thought. Because he was now the nearly the same thing. His cheeks suddenly flared with color and then bleached just as quickly to a ghostly shade as shame and guilt washed through him.
"I'm trying to sleep, I'm tireVegeVegeta said, his voice dull. Jeice blinked, his radar instantly up. There were only fifty hunter/killers under Frieza's command at the moment. And Jeice knew them all, and even to some extent their basic personality.
Everything about the young Saiyan Prince had always screamed out pride and hatred for all others. This was not the same person he had thought he knew. Those black eyes merely gazed at him, observing as though for the first time. There was no anger or arrogance, he saw nothing he could categorize. But he knew without a doubt that something about the Saiyan Prince was just not right.
"Do you not realize what is eninening? We might die at any moment."
"Are you implying that I am not doing what I should right now?" Vegeta murmured, that strangely calm gaze unnerving the older soldier.
"Cooler might defeat our Lord-"
"He is not my Lord."
"If he does," Jeice continued as if he'd not been interrupted. "He may free us."
"Our only freedom will be in death. You should know that by now. I am still but a child as you all say, yet I know the truth of what our fate will be. I just realized it myself." He murmured. Jeice frowned. He'd never heard the brat admit defeat. Even when he lay in a growing puddle of his own blood. Something indeed had happened. But did it have anything to do with the fight still going on between Frieza and his older brother?
Vegeta lay back down with a sigh. "How could you not know then?" he said softly. Jeice watched him for a moment longer. He did not know what to say to that grim rebuttal. He turned on his heel and stalked out of the room.

His mind went over the brief conversation several times on his way back to his lover's side. It was astonishing in itself that Vegeta had been civil. One of his usual methods was to snarl and spit at anyone who came within sight. Those that came within arm's reach were usually attacked, even those of higher power. With the exception of Frieza, of course. The boy was intelligent, Jeice would not deny that. But he had never just spoken to the lad like that. Usually the questions were followed by a blow to the face- just to get the boy to listen.
Vegeta's other method was to just say nothing, to refuse to speak. Even when the punishment was a severe beating. The boy was stubborn and once he decided to clam up, nothing would change it. Not even death threats.
Jeice smiled. In all honesty, he admired the little twerp. He admired his courage and his insufferable pride. But after this recent change in his behavior, he wondered if those things had also abandoned him.
He entered the throne room and sighed as he admired his lover's wonderfully sculpted body.
Zarbon turned and greeted him with a wan, half-smile.
"I can't tell whose winning. It looks about equal." He said with a sigh.
"They're still going at it?" Jeice gasped. Zarbon nodded, motioning him closer with one hand. Jeice made his way to Zarbon's side and stared out the huge, concave viewing portal. Instantly he saw several brilliant flashes in no discernable pattern. He could see neither antagonist nor point of attack, only the brilliant explosions that followed. He strained his eyes hoping to catch a glimpse of them none-the-less. He'd heard rumors that Frieza had more than one form like his androgynous lover, it would be an interesting sight if it was true.
"What of the young Prince?" Zarbon sighed. Jeice's expression of concentration changed to one of obvious confusion.
"Something.. Something has altered his behavior." Zarbon's finely sculpted eyebrows lifted a little, the only sign of his surprise. "I spoke to him. We had a brief conversation." Zarbon sat forward, his eyes widening. Jeice noted his partner's interest and nodded. "I know, I was just as shocked. There is something different about him now. He wasn't hostile at all. And I didn't have to force him to listen. AND," he paused for dramatic effect. "He already knew who Cooler was." Zarbon had the appropriate expression of astonishment before he frowned in utter confusion.
"We cannot assume that this has any connection to that-" he motioned with his head toward the viewing portal Jeice still stood next to. "But you had better summon Nappa and Radditz. One of them might know something. But even if they know nothing, Vegeta's behavior sounds most peculiar, and I find it hard to believe it coincidence. If his guards know nothing I will interrogate him myself." He shrugged and Jeice tapped the side of his scouter a few times.
"Nappa and Radditz, report to navigation office 7-B." he said and closed connection without waiting for a reply.
They two burliyaniyans were at the door within minutes, both with the customary scowl firmly etched on their faces.
"Nappa, come in. Radditz wait until we call you." Both Saiyan's scowl's darkened, but they each obeyed. Nappa halted and nodded his head briefly.
"Nappa, have you been fulfilling your duty to your Prince?" Zarbon said, his demeanor completely detached. Nappa blushed in anger.
"As much as I am able with my duties to Lord Frieza." Zarbon waved a hand, dismissing the false loyalty away.
"Let me be blunt so you may understand. Has anything happened to him today that might cause you concern?" he asked. Nappa's face paled considerably.
"What has happened-" he began before Zarbon cut him off.
"We have yet to know for ourselves." He sighed again. "He is not injured, that much I can assure you."
"I-I have not seen him today."
"Very well, you may go. But do not speak to Vegeta until tomorrow." Nappa nodded slowly, his gaze still troubled.

Radditz entered the room with the same look of confusion and worry on his face as the eldest Saiyan had upon his departure. This one was, in Zarbon's view, the smartest of the three. And only because Vegeta was still a boy and had much to learn. Soon Vegeta would surpass the tall, lanky warrior before him in all respects. And then it suddenly clicked in his head, a question that had plagued him ever since Mas Master had abducted the Saiyan Prince. Truly the brat was the only monkey in the whole barrel worth saving. Nappa and Radditz were alive only at the boy's request. He was intelligent and he was strong, and he was fierce and just barely tamed. He suddenly understood why Frieza allowed him so many liberties when others had died for many of the things Vegeta got away with on a daily basis. It galled him to no end, then and now. But suddenly he knew why Frieza bothered.
"Radditz. Have you seen the young Prince today?" Radditz frowned.
"Yes, sir, I have."
"Did you notice anything odd about his behavior?" Radditz's skin seemed to pale a bit. His skin was a shade lighter than Nappa and Vegeta's and it would have gone unnoticed by both Zarbon and Jeice had they not seen his lips turn from pink to white.
"Yes sir." Zarbon and Jeice exchanged a glance.
"Please, tell us." Zarbon said in a smooth tone. Radditz immediately stiffened in caution.
"Has anything-"
"As we have explained to your commander, Vegeta is not injured, that is all we can say at the moment." Anger and helplessness warred across the soldier's features before his eyes lowered to the floor. He sighed and raised his eyes again.
"He seemed different, something wasn't right. I entered without knocking and usually he screams at me for it. Today he didn't even notice I'd entered until I called his name, and when he spoke to me he sounded- just- different. I can't explain, but-"
"Yes?" Zarbon prodded. Radditz frowned and his expression again grew guarded.
"Perhaps it is nothing." He mumbled.
"But-" Zarbon prodded again, refusing to let him leave without answering.
"I told him of the fight between our- Master." He faltered, hardly able to say the hated term without growling and nearly choking himself in an effort not to. "I had thought he would jump at the chance to see someone lay a hand on him," he shrugged and Zarbon nodded in complete understanding, a small smirk on his face. Jeice watched the whole scene with mild amusement.
"And he didn't?" Radditz shook his head.
"No."
"Very well, you may go. Do not speak to Vegeta until morning." Radditz frowned but nodded before turning to go.

"So what do you think, love?" Jeice purred when the door slid shut.
"I think Vegeta has some explaining to do."
"Can I come?"
"Not until I get back." Jeice ignored the joke with a pout.
"But why not?"
"I just hate for you to see my ugly side my dear." Zarbon said with a laugh. Jeice folded his arms across his chest, his nose lifted. Zarbon sighed, fighting not to roll his eyes in annoyance. "I want to be alone with him because he might be more willing to talk if it is just me and him. And you know I am perfectly capable of handling him. Don't be like this, I will tell you everything when I get back." He said gently and planted a kiss on Jeice's soft, orange cheek. Jeice's eyebrows rose, but he had the air of one whose patience was being severely tested.
"Fine." He huffed. Zarbon slapped his ass with a grin.
"Cheeky little brat. I'll make you pay later."
"Mmm, I can't wait." Jeice smirked.

Vegeta awoke with a gasp as he felt a hand upon him, shaking him gently.
"Vegeta." A soft voice with a familiar accentke hke him fully. He recognized the scent before the face as his vision focused.
"What do you want?" Vegeta sighed wearily as he rubbed his face.
"I want a few answers." That woke him further and he suddenly felt a wave of anxiety hurtle through him.
"About what?" he asked, his voice tainted with dread. Zarbon blinked in surprise. The boy was behaving oddly. And the look in his eyes.. It was damn-familiar but at the moment he couldn't think of it.
"Do you have any idea why Frieza and Cooler could be fighting?" he said, his expression merely curious, not in any way angry or hinting toward malice or deceit. Vegeta's eyes instantly dropped.
"No."
"Vegeta. Let's not do this the hard way. I know you're lying." He tilted his head to the side and saw color stain Vegeta's cheeks. He put a finger under Vegeta's chin and applied pressure, forcing Vegeta to meet his gaze. He brushed away the short bangs that fell in jagged spikes across Vegeta's forehead. Vegeta's face was twisted in misery. Zarbon face broadened in shock. What in the Gods' name had happened? "How did you know of Cooler before everyone else? It has something to do with him fighting our master. I know it. Now tell me Vegeta, please."
"Why?" the boy suddenly shrieked. His ki ignited and his fist plowed into Zarbon's face before he could react. He collided with the wall and just barely brought up his own ki before they young Saiyan crashed into him. "Why does everyone have to bother me? Just leave. Me. Alone!" he screamed, each word accentuated with a punch or kick. Zarbon had recovered from the first blow sufficiently to block each of the boy's frenzied attacks. He would apparently have to do things the hard way after all.
With a roar he transformed, his nose morphing into a fanged, reptilian snout, and his muscle mass increasing. He punched Vegeta in the nose hard enough to stun him, quickly tripped him, and leapt on him as he fell. He flipped the Saiyan onto his stomach and sat on his back, grabbing him by his ankles and pulling. He stomped on Vegeta's wrists with both feet and winced when he heard something crack. Vegeta gasped in pain and after mentment he began to struggle again.
"Sorry lad, I don't know my own strength. But I did give you fair warning. Why don't you calm down and answer my questions and I'll be on my way." Vegeta roared in fury, tossing his head. The sound died to a pitiful, dejected moan after a few moments. For several minutes the room echoed with Vegeta's harsh breathing. Zarbon waited patiently for him to relax. Finally his breathing slowed and his body went utterly limp. Zarbon frowned. Had the boy passed out, or was he just hoping to trick Zarbon by getting him to think that? Zarbon winced at his own paranoia. Like it mattered either way. If the boy was planning another attack, he could take it. Zarbon released his legs and sat still a moment, waiting for him to begin thrashing again. When he didn't, the changeling took his feet off the Saiyan's wrists. He noted with a sigh that one was swollen and discolored. He knelt with his knees on either side of the boys chest and heard the Prince faintly sigh. Zarbon gripped his shoulder and rolled him onto his back. Those eyes had always glared at him with resentment, challenge, and always a hint of mockery. Now there were full of somng hng he avoided at all costs.
Pain and misery and shame seemed to stand out like a solar flare.
"He wants me to be his slave now. I suppose Frieza is not willing to part with me." Vegeta said softly. And then the emotions so apparent in his eyes were gone just like that, there was nothing to see save the usual coldness and indifference. He was trying to accept it as if it was already hopeless to avoid.
"But how could he-?" Zarbon gasped.
"He is stronger than Lord Frieza I think. If not, would he bother? Unless I am wrong and they are fighting for another reason. But he told me," he paused, his eyes averted. "He said Frieza does not know my worth and that he would have me, that I was his." He suddenly grimaced, his eyes screwed shut and his teeth clenched. Zarbon could barely discern a fine trembling that coursed through the young Saiyan. He jumped as the boy's tail lashed him is ags agitation.
"No, Vegeta. I think you are right. It must be why they are fighting. Although if Cooler does win I doubt he will find it necessary to set the rest of us free."
"If he kills you then you'll be luckier than me." Vegeta hissed, his eyes clouded.
"That may be, but you Saiyans seem to have a way of coming out unscathed even in the worst situation." Vegeta glanced at him with a raised brow.
"I'll take that as a compliment." He said.
"As it was intended. You know you are much more pleasant when you aren't busy threatening a person with bodily harm."
"Shut up or I'll kill you." Vegeta said, his face devoid of expression. Zarbon chuckled, stood, and offered a hand to Vegeta. Vegeta stared at the changeling and his form seemed to shimmer and shrink. The ugly reptilian face shifting back to the former androgynous countenance.
"That's more like it." He said with a grin. Vegeta eyed him warily and in an act that surprised them both, accepted to offered hand. Zarbon pulled him to his feet and motioned the clothes on the floor. "Now put those on and get your wrist fixed." He said and headed to the door.
Vegeta stared after him with an odd expression on his face, and nodded dumbly as Zarbon left his room.

He was surprised to see Jeice waiting for him outside Vegeta's door. The anxiety etched on his lover's face sent alarm ringing through him.
"What is it?"
"They are destroying the planets around us, we are going to have to get out of here soon or the ship will be destroyed!"

Ha HAAA! Had to end on that cliff hanger. Honestly I've been writing for hours trying to get this done b4 my pc shuts down again. - Kichi 6-27-2004
