Wufei
was woken up the next morning by the feeling that he wasn�t alone in his room
anymore. Sitting up in his bed he found deep indigo eyes staring at him, their
owner greeting him with a large smile.

�
Good morning, Wufei! � Boomed the fellow boy, � Name�s Duo. Duo Maxwell. So,
you�re the new kid, huh? Wha�cha think of this place? Not bad, huh? Nice living
the life of luxury for a change! �

�
Who are you? � Wufei asked, any traces of sleep swept away by this boy�s
persona & his motor mouth, �And how do you know about me? �

I�m Duo Maxwell and I saw your file on Sally�s desk. So who brought you here?
Zechs or Lucy?� Duo asked.

�
Khushrenada, � Wufei replied.

Duo�s
eyes widened and he snickered, � No kidding?! Oh, Une is gonna love that! �

Wufei
narrowed his eyes in confusion, � What do you mean by that? �

The
chestnut haired boy shook his head, � Nothing. I�ll fill you in later. Right
now, it�s time to get dressed and join everyone for breakfast. We�ll still on
summer vacation leave so there are no classes to worry about. Just dish duty.
Ugh. Think I�ll try to skip out before they assign people. Wanna join me? I�ll
show you around. Come on, Wufei, up and at �em! �

�
I suppose if I must, � Wufei sighed with an air of false annoyance and got out
of bed. He wondered if it would be appropriate for him to wear his pj�s to
breakfast? He didn�t have anything else to wear and even though he could care
less as to what the rest of the young adults thought of him on the first day,
his mother had groomed into him an appreciation in his appearance. Sally hadn�t
thought that far ahead, but Duo seemed to know what he was thinking.

�
I can lend you something of mine to wear till we get you your own stuff,� he
said. He grinned with a glint of mischief in his eyes, � In fact, after
breakfast let�s head into the computer lab and do some online shopping for you.
I know all the passwords and we can use next day express. �

�
That sounds illegal, � Wufei commented with a small smile. The braided boy
m be be something of a chatterbox, but he seemed thoughtful. Like Khushrenada,
Duo seemed to have the ability to charm people, but lacking an air of
intimidation. Or was he only intimidating because Wufei found something
attractive about the older man. Getting back to Duo, who was still waiting for
the Chinese boy to get up and follow him, Wufei gave him another small smile of
approval. His instincts told him he could trust Duo. I mean, how many of the
kids here would bother to help him, the new kid out, on his first day?

�
Only if you get caught, � Duo grinned. He added with an after thought,

�
Though, I have, a few times before, but I�ve managed to charm my way out of
trouble so far! �

�
I mean, sure there was that one time with Quatre, but that was only because the
boy�s too guilt ridden sometimes and those other times� I�m sure Une�s got it
out for me! But she can�t still be pissed about the snails� � The last bit, Duo
seemed to be thinking out loud, rather then to the boy walking down the hall
besides him. Wufei cast his eyes around the hallway. There were a few kids
still lingering about, some talking to friends or getting ready for breakfast
to really bother to take the time to notice the new kid just yet. That suited
Wufei just fine.

The
dinning room was noisy with the chatter of at least thirty young men and twenty
young ladies ranging from the ages of twelve to eighteen from what Wufei could
figure. Ms. Po, Noin, Zechs, and Une were sitting at the head of the long table
waiting for Treize to finally join them and officially start breakfast, even
though some of kids were munching on muffins or bagels of that lot. Wufei
entered the room behind Duo, pausing briefly to take in the sight of the grand
dinning room with its glorious view of the garden, over run with Khushrenada�s
beloved flower of choice & at the volume of his fellow teens. Duo grinned.

�
Pretty noisy, eh? � The braided wonder chuckled, � You get used to it. Come on!
I�ll introduce you to the gang! �

With
that, Duo grabbed Wufei�s arm and dragged him along. Some kids cast Wufei a
glance, a few of the male population studying him as they did with any new
teenage male and just whom he was socializing with, as the girls studied Wufei
for different reasons, some giggling to their friends. Wufei paid them no heed.

Duo
stopped at the end of table where he and his friends had established their
territory. � Everyone, this is Chang Wufei. Wufei, this is Quatre Reberba
Winner, Trowa Barton, and Heero Yuy. �

The
blonde Duo had introduced stood up with a warm smile across his angelic
features and held out his hand, � Hello, Wufei, nice to meet you. �

�
Like wise, � Wufei with a nod to his head as he shook the boy�s hand. The two
more silent boys just nodded. Quatre cast the one named Trowa a �tsk� sound and
Wufei had to smile when the green-eyed young man rose to shake his hand with
another nod. It was obvious that the two were involved or the very best of
friends. Duo grinned at how well his friends and Wufei were getting along.
Guess Sally wouldn�t have to worry anymore about the boy not making any
friends. The nurse had purposely approach the boy out so he might make friends
with Wufei and open him up to the rest of the juvenile community.

�
Don�t mind Heero and Trowa too much. They aren�t much for talkers, but their
actions speak for them, � Duo smiled. He gestured Wufei to sit besides him, �
Sit. Take a load off while we wait for King Treize to get his butt in here and
officially start breakfast. I�m starved! �

�
Humph, coming from someone who�s already loaded up his plate with three
muffins, Duo, � Heero spoke up from behind his cup of coffee.

�
Yeah, but I also like eggs and sausages, Hee-man! � Duo grinned.

�
So, you�re new here? � Trowa asked, after taking a small sip of his orange
juice.

�
Yes. I arrived last night, � Wufei replied. He glanced up when a maid offered
him a choice of beverages and chose orange juice as well.

�
Hmm� Usually we�ve giving a head�s notice about getting a new comer,� Quatre
commented thoughtfully.

�
It was a spontaneous decision on Mr. Khushrenada�s part, � Wufei replied.

�
What did he do? Just pluck you off the street? � Heero asked, his arrival at
the teen home a year ago under similar circumstances by a tall Apollonian
blonde.

A
small smile came across Wufei�s face, � More or less. �And then he frowned, his
offended pride coming to surface again at a comment made by the man in Sally�s
office. � Out on a walk. You know me, Sally. Can�t resist the cute ones. �
� Like a stray off the street, � Wufei said with narrowed eyes and
bitterness entering his voice. Quatre took notice of the Chinese boy�s sudden
stiffness. Something Mr. Khushrenada had said or done had greatly offended the
boy. A sudden decrease in the room�s volume told the blonde that without
looking that Treize had finally arrived.

�
My apologizes, everyone. Sorry I�m, � Treize smiled at his large family. He
cast Zechs and Lucy a smile of appreciation for sitting right on either side of
him, making Ms. Une sit one seat farther away before searching the two rows of
faces for Wufei and found him at the very end of the table, the boy Duo Maxwell
already chatting with him and holding all his attention for himself. Treize
added before sitting down, � We have a new addition to our family. His name is
Chang Wufei. Wufei, stand up and please introduce yourself.�

Narrowing
his dark eyes slightly, Wufei complied with the request and stood up. The urge
to spin around in a circle like a new toy on displayed was just barely held
onto. Instead, he decided to play a different kind of ins instead of the
glaring dragon Treize seemed to enjoy so much. If he was sure about one thing,
it was that Khurshrenada loved to get a rise out of him. A charming smile
graced his exotic features and Wufei used his mother�s teachings with all the
charms to his very best.

�
Greetings and good morning to you all. I�m so very happy to be here and in such
a friendly gathering. Already some of you have made me feel very welcomed, such
as Duo and his friends, and I look forward to making more friends. � He added
with a wink to the girls around him,
�and to the lovely ladies I have the pleasure of sitting by. �

That
remark got the surrounding females to giggle and some to wink back, the more
dainty ones to blush and find a sudden irresistible interest in their breakfast
plates. Wufei pretended to soak up their attention with much pleasure as he
took a seat and started to load up his plate with the food being offered now
that Treize had arrived.

The
ginger haired man cleared his throat, as the Chinese boy�s open flirtation with
the girls caught him off guard for the slightest moment. � Yes, thank you, Wufei, and as there is no
other new announcements, let�s enjoy our breakfast together, � Treize said and
sat down quickly. Sally�s quiet little clearing of her throat made Zechs and
Noin wonder if something was going on? They would have to approach her about it
later.

�
So he�s not gay, � Une thought with a smile upon her face. Clearly, she
thought, things were looking up for her.

�
You�re so smooth, Wu-man, � Duo grinned as the two now sat before a computer
screen. Dish duty had been assigned to other kids, so he didn�t have to worry
about getting stuck with the chore. His mannerism of heading into the computer
room was similar to Sally�s last night adventure into sneaking into Treize�s
bathroom. The memories that followed brought a blush across the boy�s cheeks.

�
How do you mean, Duo? � Wufei asked, pushing an almost naked Treize into the
back of his mind, �And it�s Wufei. �

He
already had a problem with Khushrenada calling him dragon and he didn�t need
any more pet names or something like Wu-man as his nickname. Heero didn�t
seemed all that pleased when Duo addressed him as Hee-man, it showing when the
braided boy asked Hee-man to pass the butter and Heero refused to do so
until Duo asked Heero to pass the butter and added to remove the pole
from his derriere, but only until the wanted breakfast item was in his possession.

�
With the girls at breakfast. I thought for sure you had this whole denial of
normal teenage boy urges, � the indigo eyed boy grinned.

�
Oh, that. I suppose so, � Wufei replied with a shrug of his shoulders. It had
served his purpose as planned. The surprised look upon Treize�s face when a
cuddly Panda bear was shown instead of a ruffled dragon was worth any
overwhelming flock of females that may come his way. If any girls were too
approach him later, the dark haired boy would remain a gentleman and turn them
down, for his mother�s sake.

�
Now then, � Duo grinned, readying his fingers for their use on the keyboard, �
let�s start the shopping. What would you like first, Wufei?�

�
Let�s start with the basics, � Wufei replied, pulling up another chair to sit
by Duo�s side. He gave another thought and added, � Somewhere where I can get
some traditional Chinese clothing. � Life on the street had made the boy change
his taste in fashion, but perhaps now he could get back to familiar, comforting
attire.

�
You gottcha! � Duo grinned.

�
And� � Wufei left off.

�And?

�
And perhaps you can tell me as to Ms. Une would love the fact that Khushrenada
brought me here himself? � The Chinese boy asked. That remark had been
bothering him in the back of his mind as he had eating breakfast quietly, well,
a little shy perhaps, but he would never admit it. Even with Duo�s friendly
greeting, Wufei was just getting used to his new surroundings with all these
other�s kids his age who knew each other and he didn�t.

�
Oh, that, sure, � Duo nodded, � The sooner you know, perhaps the better. � He
grinned, changing the subject, � Here we go. I think you�ll find something at
this place. �

Wufei
peered at the apparent �Chinese� online store. Well, he mused, it could be
worse and if he didn�t see anything ikediked here, Duo seemed familiar enough
with the computer to find another online store. Life the on the streets lacked
any computer skills or any education means of that matter.

�
Ooh, fashion! Let�s look at this first! � Duo chirped, clicking onto the
selection box. Hopefully they would find what Wufei was looking for.

Treize
was enjoying a moment of peace, having sent Ms. Une out on an errand & was
checking his email. And during business hours! Ms. Une would have clicked her
tongue with disapproval and urge her employer back to work. He knew she was
right, a business didn�t run itself and he had after work hours to indulge upon
such matters, but the ginger haired man couldn�t pass the opportunity to do
something the woman disapproved of. After all, he was the one to sign her
paychecks anyway.

Three
�Your orders have been sent� announcement messages caught his eye, Treize not
having ordered anything in the past twenty-four hours and certainly not from
any online companies called The Jaded Tree or Oriental Online Bargains. Of
course Wufei came to mind, him being new and without any personal possessions,
already friends with Duo Maxwell, and the young business man had an idea whatwhat was going on. This had happened four times before & it seemed Duo was
still able to decode his passwords. Perhaps he should give Noin a try to think
of some new ones.

�
I will have to speak to those two about this, � Treize chuckled to himself as
he clicked onto one of the messages to see what his dragon was buying with his
money. Most items were clot a f a few items Treize could tell were purchased at
Duo�s urging. One was a red Chinese tunic with embroid bla black dragons upon
each side with black frog closures going down the front. Too bad it didn�t�
come with a picture. Treize would have like to picture what it would look like
on Wufei. Red would look good on his dragon. A smile graced his handsome
features; perhaps he could request the boy to model it for him. He, after all,
was buying it for Wufei.

* - * - *

Duo
had moved aside to let Wufei at the computer. The boy quickly picked on some
basic computer skills, enough to make purchases online by himself rather then
Duo. At first he was a little uneasy, but the Chinese boy quickly began to have
fun, having the same guilty pleasures of doing something he wasn�t suppose to,
like Sally had last night anelineling like it was justice for Khushrenada
offending him. Although he made sure not to get carried away. It might raise a
few questions of where all this stuff came from.

While
shopping online, Duo noticed that Wufei seemed to favor three colors and
perhaps the reason why he did so. First, black and white for their clean,
crisp, and simplicity fis eis everyday wear. Wufei seemed to prefer simple
clothing, but Duo thought it would be a crime to just allow the boy to wear
nothing that flattered him with his fine features, so he urge the boy to pick
out a few more elegant or trendier pieces. At first Wufei brushed him off, but
when he gave in and relaxed more into buyiningsings for himself, he chose such
items in the color of red or in the range of hues. Red, with its natural
association with sensuality that was obvious about the boy and Duo saw it even
when Wufei did not.

Not
just his looks, but as his nature; the way he held himself, moved, his manor of
talking, the way he had made some of the girls at breakfast blush with just a
simple smile, and gazing look. Even the way he was chewing his bottom lip,
deciding whether or not to buy that handsome, rich red Chinese tunic with the
black dragons that was presently displayed on the screen before him.

�
That is a must, Wufei. You�d look killer in it, � Duo spoke his opinion and
added in case the flattery wouldn�t work,
�and it�s just so wonderfully elegant. Something a parent might pick
out. �

Hitting
an eon hon he didn�t know about, Wufei thought of his mother and nodded,
purchasing the item without another thought. Yes, it was something his mother
would buy for him to wear. And red had been one of her favorite colors on him.

�
Okay, enough with the clothes! � Duo grinned, � Time fore the things for your
new room! �

�
B-but, we�ve already spent enough! � Wufei insisted.

Duo
rolled his eyes, � Pfff! It was only a couple hundred! �

So tell us, Sally, what�s the deal between Treize and the new boy Chang Wufei?
� Zechs asked the honey haired woman later in the day in her office. Noin was
with him too; both had noticed something different about their boss and friend
since breakfast when Treize had asked the boy to introduce himself. Throughout
breakf he he seemed to be watching the boy eat shyly with his friends or
catching a quick glance from time to time.

gave a little sigh, wondering if her hunch had any truth behind it at all or
just her being over zealous again? If she was wrong or not, it wouldn�t go
beyond the three of them. And there was no way in hell Po would involve Une.
Treize had enough problems with her as it was. She went over the scene between
he and Wufei last night in his chambers three times to make absolutely sure,
nodded to herself when she felt she was & ready to answer.

�
Well, I suspect there�s a strong attraction Treize and Wufei. Treize is
obviously attracted to Wufei and that was one of the reasons why the boy was
brought here, besides our usual cause to help kids in neI caI can sense there�s
some attraction on Wufei�s part towards Treize as well, but because he has done
something to offend him and the fact that Wufei is just naturally proud, he is
reluctant to admit it or open to Treize and let the grudge go. �

Zechs
could feel for Treize, having some the same frustrations himself with a certain
blue-eyed beauty, but that was another tale and best to left alone for the
moment.

�
Oh, this is better then my soaps! � Noin chuckled. Sally sighed a breath of
relief that neither Zechs nor Noin was repulsed with Treize�s interest in a boy
under his care and the age difference.

�
Not that I blame Treize. Wufei is lovely. I thought something about him was off
at breakfast, � Zechs remarked.

�And
then there�s the incident from last night when Treize walked in on Wufei when
the boy was using his bath-! � Sally clamped her hand over her mouth at that
slip of the tongue, her relief making her too over zealous with this bit of
news, even though it was the strong part of her suspicion that Wufei was just
as attracted to Treize as her boss was to the Chinese boy. She prayed that
Zechs and Noin were too distracted with the news to pay attention to the slip
of gossip. Too late! Two pair of amused and now intrigued eyes peered at Po.

�
Okay, this I�ve got to hear! � Zechs said. Sally groaned and prayed
Treize wouldn�t fire her for this!
