Kitten

The first month had been okay but the second one DEAR LORD! Rei grew pissed for little things and he was mad 24/7 and getting madder.

The guys couldn\'t help that much. Brooklyn and Garland had come over so Garland could talk to Tyson. When they got there Rei was asleep on the couch. You see, all the guys had a habit of patting Rei on the head when he was asleep.

Brooklyn did just that, but only end up yelling in pain. Tyson and Garland heard the yelling and come running. There they saw Brooklyn holding a bloody arm, his golden earrings were on the ground as his fox ears and tail fanned out. He snarled at Rei from the floor.

Rei, however, looked pissed. His eyes had narrowed into slits and he was growling from the couch as blood dripped down his chin.

\"What did he do?\" Garland growled as he went over to the fox. Brooklyn\'s eyes where fixed on Rei and Rei’s were fixed on Brooklyn, neither blinking as the two predators sized each other up.

\"I don\'t know...\" Tyson said as he shook his head. For nearly the first time in his life he didn\'t know what to say. \"I\'m sorry.\"

\"Sorry doesn\'t cut it Tyson.\" Garland snarled as he helped the fox up and cradled him in his arms. Rei watched as Garland picked up the rings and pulled Brooklyn out of the house.

Tyson sighed as he locked the door and he looked at Rei with a glare and was shocked to see him smiling.

\"Why did you do that?\" Tyson asked.

\"Do what?\" Rei asked as he blinked.

\"Bite Brook.\"

\"I\' wouldn’t do that. I haven\'t seen him all day.\" Rei said with hurt eyes. What would make Tyson think he would possibly bite one of his closest friends?

\"Don\'t lie to me, you just did it.\" Tyson looked at his lover and gasped. Rei\'s eyes were slits and tiger marking were starting to form on his face. Tyson moved over to him. \"Rei...\" He said but Rei moved back.

\"Get away from me.\" Rei hissed and before Tyson could do anything Rei ran into the bedroom and locked the door.

Tyson stared at the door and looked around as he grabbed his cell phone and dialed a number.

“Hello, Count D\'s Pet shop,” Tyson sighed as he heard the familiar voice over the line.

“Count D? It\'s me, Tyson.”

“Tyson! How good to hear from you. How’s Rei?”

“Good, he\'s going to have a baby, but I need to talk to you about him.”

“Whatever about?”

“Rei, he bit his friend today and acts if he doesn’t remember.”

“Oh my. Well a tiger… that’s something tigers do.”

“What?” Tyson nearly fell of the couch as he heard this.

“Rei is a male tiger but is going to give birth so he\'s acting like a mother keeping her child safe from all outsiders. Even its mate.”

“But...” Tyson couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Sure, Rei still had some problems dealing with the human lifestyle but he was human!

“The ring itself made your tiger human but it didn\'t rid him of his tiger self. It just pushed it aside. Now that he is with child his tiger is coming out a bit. So he will be switching from time to time.”

“Okay, is there anything I can do?”

“Yes, keep the hawk and fox away from him. He\'ll be driving in blind rage to kill any of them for they are not his kind.”

“I will, thank you Count D,” Tyson paused for a moment. “But how did you? I never told you about Brooklyn and Mystel.”

“You do that Tyson. I knew all three of them well, Tyson. Once they played together for hours on end in this shop. I’m glad they’ve found each other once more. It’s what made me wary of selling Brooklyn in the first place. But his master and he belong together. Oh, one more thing Tyson.”

“Yes?”

“Members of the cat family can have more then one child from two males in one pregnancy... be careful.” With that D hung up.

Garland hadn’t said anything since Rei’s attack and that alone was unnerving Brooklyn as his mate wrapped the bandage around his arm.

“Garland?” Brooklyn said as he rested a hand on Garland’s arm.

“How is she?” Garland instantly asked as he sat up and placed it on the slight bulge on Brooklyn\'s abdomen.

“Fine,” Brooklyn said as he rested his hand on top of Garland\'s. “But I shouldn’t have pet Rei.\" The Fox said with a sigh.

\"Why do you say that?\" Garland asked as he picked the bandages up.

\"Well, Rei is going to have a baby. So for me to even go near him I\'m asking to get killed.\"

\"Well, I wouldn’t let him.\" Garland said as he kissed Brooklyn\'s arm.

\"Hey Gar?” Brooklyn asked as he glanced up.

\"Yeah,\" Garland began kissing up to Brooklyn\'s neck.

\"Let go of me.\" The orange haired man’s voice was deathly cold.

\"Letting go!\" Garland pulled his hands away as Brooklyn stood up and walked away.

\"Dammit...\" The silver haired man sighed. He had messed with Brooklyn before when the fox said stop and didn\'t. Garland had ended upside down, sliding down a wall. \"Only five more months.\"

Brooklyn stalked off, his orange tail waving behind him, causing Garland to give an exhausted sigh. Mentally he berated himself for choosing to have a family, even after D’s warnings.

Tyson was staring at the ceiling as he lay on the couch. Why had D warned him that cats could give birth from more than one father? And who had dared touch his tiger? His head was hurting from it when he heard the phone ring.

“Granger residence,” Tyson said as he picked it up.

\"Hello Tyson!\" Came the voice of Dr. Gil

\"Oh Hi Dr!\" Tyson hadn\'t seen the good Dr. in about four months now. They had gone to China to study tigers and of course Rei had came along.

\"Tyson, my boy, I was wondering if you and Rei would like to come to Asia with me in about a week. You see, they found a pure white lion roaming around.\"

\"I’d love to go,\" Tyson looked at the bedroom door. Taking Rei on a trip wouldn\'t be a good idea. \"I\'m sorry, but Rei\'s not feeling too well. I\'m sorry.\"

\"That’s okay my boy! Give Rei my best wishes and I\'ll send you photos of the lion!\" The Dr. said. He and Tyson said good-bye and hung up.

Tyson groaned as he scratched his head, then he remembered the stripper. Had he done something to Rei? If only he could remember where he had seen him before...

Bryan stretched as he stepped into the huge empty house. It seemed lonely since all those years ago. He had been there when Kai had taken Tyson and his pet tiger. They all had warned him but he got what was coming to him.

Bryan almost smiled as he remembered Kai’s death screams as the tiger ripped him apart. Kai got what was coming to him. But in the end Bryan wished that tiger had been killed. He had killed Tala...

... and Lee.

Lee...

He missed the spunky black lion that had once allowed him to watch as he made love to his master. There was nothing that could come between Tala and Lee. Nothing, not even Kai. They died just as they had live, together. He felt glad that they were free but he missed his friends.

And for that, he had Tyson to blame. And Rei...

Rei would die painfully and slowly just like the way he had killed Tala and Lee.

Mystel had been living with Hiro for a year now and he knew he shouldn’t be so nervous, but he was. His eyes darted warily around as he held the two large eggs to his chest, keeping them warm with his own body heat.

“Mystel?” Hiro said as his arms latched around Mystel’s waist. “What’s wrong, my hawk?” Hiro felt Mystel\'s body tense. Mystel started to shake, \"Myst? What is it? Why are you shaking?\"

Hiro tried to turn his love around but the hawk didn\'t move. He couldn\'t, his fear overtook him and wouldn\'t let him show Hiro.

\"I\'m fine... I mm don\'t feel so well Hiro-kun.\" Mystel said as he held the eggs closer to his chest.

\"Do you want me to get you anything?\" Hiro asked as he moved away. \"No, I\'m good. Just leave me alone, okay?\" Mystel asked.

Hiro nodded and kissed Mystel’s neck and walked out of the room. Tears fell out of Mystel’s blues eyes and onto the two white eggs. \"What can I do?\" he whispered. \"I want you, but.... what can I do?\" With that he broke down crying as he held his eggs.
