Disclaimer:
I do not own Gundam Wing/AC, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
CHAPTER 4
A/N: This story is very long and meandering. I don’t own Gundam Wing, it belongs to Sunrise and Bandai, but I do love to play with the characters. This story is totally A/U so don’t expect much of anything except the names to be the same. Feel free to Review and let me know how much you loved/hated the story. Happy readings… Oh boy, big cliff-hanger this chapter... or not. Don't blame me for the crapiness of my story, blame my muse. *glares at muse*
CHAPTER 4
A week later in the afternoon Trowa was sitting at the kitchen table reading when Wufei walked in.
“Hey Trowa.” He greeted cheerfully.
“Hi Wufei. How was your day?” Trowa replied.
“Fine, fine. Hey, Ami and I are going to a club tonight, and were taking you with us, whether you want to or not.”
Trowa looked up in surprise. Wufei had pretty much been leaving him to his own devices and hadn’t offered to take him anywhere or anything.
“Why?” Trowa inquired, not the least bit interested in going.
“Well I just thought that you’ve had enough time to mope around and that you should begin to move on. This is the perfect opportunity for you to meet some other people.”
Trowa shrugged. “I don’t know; I’m really not in the mood to go anywhere. And how am I going to meet anyone new at your type of bar?”
“You haven’t ‘been in the mood’ for anything Trowa. I know you have been hurt but you really need to try to move on, this isn’t healthy. Come on you’ll have fun. Plus, I mean friends, not a romantic interest. You need to get out. Do something.”
Trowa looked up at Wufei’s face. He saw genuine concern in Wufei’s eyes. Trowa sighed; he really didn’t want to go. “Fine. I’ll go. I’ll go. But only cause you asked so nicely.”
Wufei grinned. “Of course. Now go get ready we’re leaving in half an hour.”
Trowa started to walk up the stairs when Wufei stuck his head around the corner. “Oh, and Trowa? Wear something nice, you never know if you’ll meet someone… and if I think you aren’t dressed nicely I’ll dress you in some of Ami’s stuff and then we’ll take you to the club and make you dance in front of everyone.” With a wicked grin Wufei disappeared around the corner before Trowa could retaliate.
Trowa walked into his room. ‘What was I thinking’ he wondered as he scrounged through his closet to find some appropriate clothes. He choose a loose-fitting dark green shirt that was almost black and a pair of black pants. As he was pulling on his shoes Wufei stuck his head in the doorway.
“You ready to go?” He inquired as he looked Trowa over. “I think those clothes work.”
Trowa nodded and chose to ignore the last remark. They drove to Wufei’s girlfriend’s house in Wufei’s car. It was a new four-seat corvette. Wufei pulled up in front of Ami’s house and honked the horn.
“Must you really do that?” Trowa asked as he covered his ears.
“Yes.” Wufei replied as Ami ran down the front walk to meet them. Trowa climbed into the back seat so Ami could sit next to Wufei.
“Hi Wuffie! Hi Trowa.” Ami said as she climbed into the car. “Hey Trowa?” Ami said, turning around in her seat.
“Hmm?”
“Looking sexy” Ami said while making a thumbs-up sign.
“See Trowa? Soon you’ll be taking my girl from me.” Wufei said with a grin.
Trowa shook his head as Wufei gunned the car. Soon they were speeding on their way to the club.
As soon as Trowa stepped in the door he knew that it had been a bad idea to come. The club was loud and smoky and full of people. Not the thing Trowa wanted to deal with at the moment. He sighed and looked around for a quiet, well at least quieter, corner to hide in. Making his way through the masses of people Trowa found a lone table with no one at it. He sat down and rested his head in his hands.
After a few moments Trowa looked up to see if he could find Wufei. He eventually spotted his friend on the dance floor with his girlfriend. Trowa saw how much fun they were having fun and abandoned his idea to ask Wufei to take him home. Trowa looked around. There was almost no one at the club alone. ‘What am I doing here?’ he thought. He returned to studying the table before him until he heard a voice ask...
“Is anyone sitting here?”
Trowa looked up. A man was standing before his table with a questioning look on his face.
“No, be my guest.” Trowa said, and then looked the man over as he brought a chair to the table. He was tall and thin but muscular, and had pale skin. His head was hidden in shadow so Trowa couldn’t see much of his eyes or hair. He was dressed in a loose fitting dark red shirt that showed off his muscular arms and was also wearing grey cargo pants. ‘He’s gorgeous’ Trowa thought, ‘To bad he’s probably straight.’
The man sat down. Now Trowa could see his face. Trowa blinked, the man had the most striking blue eyes he had ever seen and his pale face was framed by locks of the blondest hair Trowa had ever seen. They sat in silence looking each other over before Trowa finally spoke.
“I’m Trowa...and you are?”
