IV. Wedding Bells
Sheska woke up in a bed, and immediately realized it wasn't her bed. She was scared witless until she realized she was in Al's bedroom by herself. Her head was pounding and her vision blurred. She felt around and found her glasses on the nightstand. When she put them on, she saw a little clearer. Her dress was sitting on a nearby chair and she had only vague memories of the night before. She remembered that she had drunk a few drinks, and then... A kiss from Al... A hand on his chest... then nothing.
Whoa, wait a minute. *A kiss from Al!? * Oh my god! What else did I do!? Sheska thought. She was very distraught. Sheska was saving herself for that right man. It could be Al, but she was by no means ready to go that far yet. She stood up and found herself wearing a robe and her underwear. Then there was a knock at the door. It wasn't loud, but audible. Sheska then answered the door to find Al there.
"Sheska..." Al said very nervously. "I know what you're thinking. I got you drunk and knocked you up. Well, that wasn't true. You passed out so I set you in the bed."
"Al...? You..." Sheska was very nervous. She then threw her arms around Al and cried.
"Oh my! I don't want to ruin things with you!" She sobbed.
"Nothing is ruined... At least from my side." Al said. "So we had a bit too much last night. It's all right to slip up now and then."
"Hold me. Just hold me." Sheska said. "I just want this to be over with."
"Everything will be just fine." Al said. He tried to be as reassuring as possible. The two of them held each other close and tried to reassure each other.
In Ed's room, the story was a bit different. Winnie also woke up with a pounding head, but she was naked and had an equally naked Ed lying next to her.
Oh goodness... What happened last night? Winnie thought. At that point, she realized that she was naked and Ed was lying naked next to her.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!" Winnie screamed. "What the hell!? Edward Elric if you took advantage of me I swear I'll -"
Ed woke up and opened his eyes just in time to see Winnie's hand coming. She gave him a healthy bitchslap.
"Ow! What was that for!?" Ed asked.
"You goddamned motherfucker you took advantage of me!!" Winnie shouted. "Get the hell out of here!"
"Hey, you were the one all over me!" Ed retorted. Winnie then had a brief flashback: it was her groping Ed's ass. She hesitated for a moment, and then put her arms around Ed.
"Oh god I'm sorry... I should have warned you that I get very horny when I get drunk." Winnie said. Ed returned Winnie's embrace and held this hot, tight, naked vixen close. Naturally, his cock was eager for action as it started to stand up. Winnie parted with Ed and headed for the bathroom.
"I want to shower now. I'll try making breakfast for you later." Winnie said. She then went to the door, and hesitated for a bit. "All right, come on in with me." Ed thanked Winnie for letting him shower with her.
"Sheska takes forever in the shower. You're better off with me." Winnie said. In the shower, they turned on the water and each other. Once it was the right temperature, Winnie and Ed entered the shower and got wet. Winnie and Ed ran the soap over each other and started feeling better doing it. Winnie got to feel Ed's hard cock, his tight ass and his washboard stomach. Ed got to touch Winnie's luscious gash, her sweet ass, and he especially liked feeling Winnie's gravity-defying rack. After a few minutes of this, Winnie was getting a bit tired of it.
"I think my boobs are clean enough now." Winnie said. Ed pulled away from her tits and smiled nervously.
"Uh... Sorry. I've never bathed with a woman before." Ed said. After they finished, Winnie and Ed dried off. Ed shaved and Winnie put on makeup. While they did this, Sheska showered. At the end of it all, Winnie made breakfast for four and was later joined by Sheska. The four of them had breakfast together and talked some more. Al and Sheska let everyone know that they were interested in each other.
"Well, I knew you'd snag someone someday. Winnie said. "You two seem perfect for each other."
"Thanks." Al said. Sheska merely blushed.
"Well, I wish you two the best." Ed said.
Afterwards, Al took Sheska home. Then Winnie said she had to go home.
"Before I go though, I want you to know that I'm thinking about moving here. I'm the only Automail maker in the state, so it doesn't really matter where I reside." Winnie said.
It was another six weeks later that Winnie wrote Ed and said she was coming to visit. This time, her grandmother was coming with her.
"I've told her everything about you, and she's dying to meet you!" Winnie said in the letter. Oddly enough, the same weekend Sheska's parents were in town to meet the guy wooing their daughter. Natalia, Sheska's mother, was quite protective of her daughter. They all met at a park where Sheska and Natalia served up a lunch for the four of them.
"Well Mr. Elric, you say that you love my daughter. Why do you love her?" Natalia asked.
"She makes me feel good. Sheska is more than just a pretty face; she's quite intelligent as well. I feel that we compliment each other." Al replied. Natalia sneered at him.
"Go on." She said.
"Sheska is someone I feel that I can build a good, solid family with." Al said. Natalia thought this was an act, but continued her questioning. He went on about how his intentions were honorable and that he truly respected Sheska.
"If she decided not to marry me, I would respect that. This relationship should be done at her pace." Al said. Natalia felt that Al was feeding her what she wanted to hear.
"I need to talk to Sheska alone." Natalia said. Al bowed and left the room.
"He is a slick one. You know you're better than that." Natalia said. Truth be told, Natalia felt all boys weren't good enough for Sheska. Natalia also was one of those women that never changed her opinion about anything, no matter what evidence contradicted her. She was also a helicopter parent, believing that Sheska's judgment was, at best, inept. Sheska sank into depression.
"Yes mother, I'll break up with him." Sheska said. Sheska's dad, however, didn't feel the same way.
"Honey, I think Al would be a wonderful husband for our child." He said.
"No! He is just feeding us nonsense to lull us into a false sense of security. Sheska, you *will* break up with him now. I don't want you to ever see him again!" Natalia said.
"Yes, mother." Sheska responded meekly. With a heavy heart, she went to tell al the news. Unfortunately for Sheska, there was just no arguing with her mother. Ever.
"Mom hates you. She has ordered me to break up with you." Sheska told Al.
"What!? Why!?" Al asked.
"She thinks you're lying to her and only out for my body. There's no changing her mind once she's made it up." Sheska said. Al wasn't about to take this lying down.
"Hey, don't you want your daughter to be happy?" Al asked.
"I want her not to make a stupid mistake. Dating you is such a mistake." Natalia replied. She then turned away from him, and pulled Sheska away.
"We are going home now. This charlatan mustn't bother you anymore!" Natalia said. Sheska obeyed her mother only with the greatest of reluctance, and Sheska left with tears in her eyes.
Across town, the story was quite the opposite. Winnie's grandmother was very thankful that Winnie found a guy that she loved. Grandma wanted them to settle down, get married and have children.
"A woman's first duty is to perpetuate the species. You got yourself a great man in Ed. You'd better convince him to marry you." Grandma said.
"I know, I know. I really think he's the one, Grandma." Winnie said. "If our first child is a girl, we'll name her after you."
It was two weeks later when the news came in. Ed and Al were pondering the problem of the three-stage rocket when Sheska burst into the room.
"It's happened! Hitler has invaded Poland! Europe is at war again!" Sheska shouted. Everyone in the room was stunned. Everyone feared war was inevitable, but nobody was really prepared for it.
"What's America's position?" Al asked.
"The government has decided to stay neutral for now. However, we could get sucked into it at any moment." Sheska said.
"This sounds bad." Ed said. "Since Hitler aligned with Tojo, it could mean war for the entire world."
"Do you think we'll be drafted eventually?" Al asked.
"I hope not... Although if they did, they probably would make you two work on some secret military project." Sheska said. "I really would hate to lose you, Al." Sheska had covertly defied her mother's order and started dating Al again at the advice of her father.
"We'll see." Ed replied.
After about three months, Winnie wrote Ed and said she was moving to Roswell.
"You're there, and that's what's important." Winnie said. She then conscripted Ed and Al to move her and her shop to Roswell. Winnie found a shop that she could use at a bargain rate. She moved there with no problems and set up shop there. The move was long and the setup tedious, but she settled into the shop. However, about a week after moving, Winnie started dropping hints that she wanted to marry Ed. He was a bit hesitant about it at first, but then realized the only way to stop that kind of talk was to marry her. Al decided he would marry Sheska at the same time.
That night, Ed had gotten an engagement ring and set up the romantic moment. On his knees, he asked Winnie to marry him. She was so overcome with emotion that she could not speak at first. Then she burst into tears of joy.
"Oh, Yes Ed! Nothing would make me happier!" Winnie said. Ed slipped the ring onto Winnie's finger. Then he slipped his tongue into her mouth.
Al's proposal went a little different. Sheska really wanted to marry Al, but didn't want to piss off her mother.
"Sometimes, you have to hurt the ones you love to help them. Your mother doesn't see how perfect we are for each other." Al said. Sheska was very nervous.
"Al... I'll marry you... But I know my mother will ruin the ceremony." Sheska said.
"What she doesn't know won't hurt her." Al replied.
They decided to have a double wedding in case Natalia showed up. That way, she would hesitate in ruining another wedding. They invited relatives and preparations were made. Invitations were sent, although Sheska's family was told not to tell Natalia. Everyone pitched in for expenses and things were set up. Sheska and Winnie had to go to Santa Fe to get their wedding dresses though. They were there with Winnie's grandmother. Sheska came out of the dressing room wearing a beautiful dress that flattered her figure in all the right place.
"Well... What do you think?" Sheska asked.
"Ooh, Al is sure to love it." Winnie replied. Sheska looked at herself in a mirror. She never thought of herself as being incredibly beautiful; Natalia always told her that girls with glasses are ugly girls. However, she stared into the mirror, and for the first time in years, she felt beautiful.
"I'll take it." Sheska said. Then it was Winnie's turn. She tried on about four different dresses before deciding on one that she really liked. Winnie smiled as she stared into the mirror.
"Mmm... I feel like a star in the movies. I'll take it." Winnie said as she turned around.
"It does look good on you." Sheska said. Other preparations took a bit, but finally, the stage was set for the wedding.
