Poisoned Minds

Chapter 3.

Silver sighed frowning as he let his eyes trace the sky fallowing the battle, or rather lack there of. He growled, grumbling as he turned away from the ring and the direction of his comrade, walking off. “How could he do that? He’ll ruin everything…I knew I should have stepped in when I felt that power level spike…Kaido you better not scar him…”

Goku could not take his attention off of the fighters, but he heard every word Silver was mumbling, and was unable to ignore him. There was something very wrong going on here. What would scaring Vegeta’s skin do? He was already marked from many years of battling, what would one more do? Or…was it not a physical scarring he was talking about? Goku frowned as he stared at his friend, fighting in the skies. “Piccolo…would you do me a favor? Watch Silver…” He looked for a moment to where he though Piccolo had been standing, but he was standing alone, piccolo was gone.

Up in the sky, Vegeta and Kaido were more dancing than fighting. Sure punches were thrown as were kicks, but more talking was done than actual battling. “Who Are You? Stand still already! Why are you playing with me? I’ll wipe that smirk off your face Kaido!” Vegeta was getting pissed. Kaido wasn’t punching or anything, he was simply dodging! Growling in anger, Vegeta went super Saiyan, holding his hands out as rapid Ki blasts flew from his palms, flying straight at the un-moving Kaido. The first blast hit, causing smoke to surround his target. More and more blasts entered the smoke, but none flew out. Stopping he panted softly, still glaring at the smoke, waiting. It didn’t dissipate, he could feel the other’s power level so he was still alive.

Vegeta’s eyes went wide as the power-level of his opponent suddenly soared, causing the smoke to suddenly fly at Vegeta, causing him to raise an arm to block what he thought was an immanent attack. Looking up Vegeta jumped slightly, lowering his hand. It was a Saiyan he was fighting. Kaido had gone Super Saiyan easily, and all of the Ki-blasts after the first had not only missed, but were floating around Kaido’s body. His hand was raised, showing the minor burn from the first Ki-blast. “What the hell?” Kaido’s lips slowly curved up into a dangerous smirk, his eyes shining as his hand crossed across his chest in a cocky stance. His smirk was something Vegeta had seen before, and it scared him. That smirk, that stance, it reminded him of a bad time, years ago. Back when Buu first attacked the earth, and Mirai… The Ki blasts were being suspended in air by Kaido’s Ki manipulation, though they pulsed with Vegeta’s energy. Vegeta’s eyes widened as Kaido’s hand slowly moved, outwards, fist balled. He threw his arms out for a Big Bang Attack, but he was stopped by a rush of his own Ki blasts.

With a swift simple movement, Kaido opened his hand, signaling the release of his own attack. His Ki rushed Vegeta, taking the Ki blasts he had collected with it. Vegeta didn’t have a chance to dodge all of the attacks, completely taken by surprise. Kaido moved fast and hard. Physical and Ki attacks hit their targets hard. Vegeta stood little chance as he went all out, throwing all he had at his assailant, until he saw the hand move. Kaido pressed two fingers to his forehead, and vanished completely.

Vegeta felt no Power-Level as he spun around, searching. This person was confusing. He looked, almost acted like Mirai when he had been possessed, but he seemed so different, and Mirai didn’t know that trick. It was one of Kakorot’s moves! Who was this person. Lowering to the ring, Vegeta shifted his stance, continuing to scan the skies for his opponent. He frowned, looking over at Kakorot, who also looked confused. He went to say something, but feeling an enormous power level, both men looked to the skies, just in time for Vegeta to dodge a blast, reminding him a lot of his own Big Bang Attack. Vegeta frowned as he took back to the skies, powering up as he screamed out, forcing his body to transform to its highest current level, Super Saiyan 4.

Kaido smirked as he saw the Vegeta finally not-only find him, but transform so quickly. Kaido was still only Super Saiyan as Vegeta flew at him, but he didn’t move, or even brace as Vegeta launched his punch, but Vegeta found nothing solid to attack. Kaido though, did find Vegeta’s body Very solid as he placed a hand to his opponent’s chest, sending him flying with a burning blast.

Vegeta grunted as he was knocked back, forcing him to take his eyes off of his opponent. Lowering his up-held arm, he saw that he was face-to-face with Kaido, who simply floated straight through Vegeta. “You can’t attack me like that, Prince Vegeta…Only in your normal form…” Vegeta growled, throwing Ki-Blasts at Kaido, the blasts simply passing through him. Frowning, Vegeta flew backwards, powering down as he glared at the figure.

High above where Vegeta fought his ghostly opponent, Kaido floated, sitting Indian Style in the air as a ball glowed in his hands. Opening his eyes, Kaido let himself lower to stand behind Vegeta. Releasing his hold on the strange ball, he reached to the back of Vegeta’s neck, the ball floating around Kaido to simply pass into his back, vanishing. As his ghostly image vanished, he pinched the back of Vegeta’s neck, smirking as Vegeta suddenly fell from the sky, screaming out profanity. Kaido simply lowered to stand beside the fallen fighter as he pushed himself onto his hands and knees, his hair even falling limp around his face as he glared at Kaido. Kaido simply kicked Vegeta swiftly in the ribs, sending him flying into a wall surrounding the tournament ring, before he fell to the grass.

Goku rushed to collect his friend, glaring at Kaido as he walked calmly from the ring, chuckling to himself. Silver though walked with a purpose out from where he had been watching the fight to pass his comrade, only to back-hand him as he passed, sending Kaido flying straight into a wall, and groan. Walking to Vegeta he helped the fighter stand, against his wishes. Ignoring the foul language Vegeta was using, Silver moved faster than even Goku could see, and punched the back of Vegeta’s head, causing him to suddenly collapse to the ground as his powers released, sending Goku stumbling back a few steps.

“What the? You…um…Silver? What did Kaido do to him?” Goku watched as Silver picked Vegeta up and place him over his shoulder as he retreated towards the back, Goku fallowing. “Kaido is a smart man…it’s getting him into trouble. He locked Vegeta’s powers with-in his body, Vegeta was helpless like a human against Kaido…There’s a reason Kaido is the King of-“

Silver realized what he was saying as he laid Vegeta on a cot, and managed to shut up. Goku though frowned, glaring at his opponent. “King of What? Saiyans? But I thought only Vegeta’s blood-line could become King!” Silver simply smirked to himself as he walked off. “I will find out what you are hiding!”

Silver’s smile faded as he walked to Kaido, grabbing him by the neck once they were out of sight. Kaido didn’t struggle in Silver’s hold, knowing he would not harm him, but he still looked worried. “Kaido! You may be king but I out-power you…remember even your wishes are nothing compared to Mine! You may have a plan, but this is not planet Vegeta! You play by their rules! No more locking Power Levels unless it is life-or-death! Got it?” Silver’s hand had been tightening the entire time, leaving Kaido without breath, and struggling to keep calm. Grunting a soft answer, Kaido was released to collapse to the ground, gasping for air as Silver walked away, too mad at his friend to care about his coughs and harsh breathing.
