CHAPTER 4

Duo lay flat on his stomach snoring softly as the sun rose the next day, Heero had gotten up around seven to get ready to leave. He had to be at his meeting point by eight, he was going to leave early. Though he wasn’t so sure about leaving Duo alone right now even for two hours, Heero was dressed and ready to go with in five minutes of when he woke up.

He was standing next to his sleeping husband, looking at him thoughtfully he was so child like so naïve it really did worry Heero. “Hmn,” he gave a frustrating grunt and picked up the phone. He walked out of the bedroom and shut the door going to make a call.

About five minutes later Xanatos’s voice broke into the silence of the room, Duo lifted his head from his pillow his hair was sticking up from his forehead on one side, while bangs on the side he had been laying on was plastered to his cheek. He brought his hand up and moved the long hair away from his face. He groaned he got up on his hands and knees with his braid pressed under the sheets and blankets that were now draped over Duo’s behind. His breasts dangled down toward the mattress as well as his head his eyes were still closed.

He sat there for a minute listing to Xanatos crying he gave a low groan, damn Heero fucking him tell four am he thought to himself. When Xanatos’s cry became louder Duo reached back and frustratingly tossed the blankets off his naked behind. He then turned his ass toward the side of the bed and backed up and put his feet on the floor and stood up. He opened his eyes or attempted do but they just felt so heavy. Like he could hardly open them so he was looking through blurry slits. He shuffled toward the crib but ended up tripping over his own shoes he landed on the ground with a thud face first with his hands sprawled out before him.

Heero entered just in time to see Duo’s graceful move and ten point landing on the floor. Duo turned his head some and saw Heero’s shoes through his curtain of hair, the shoes had legs attached to them standing in the doorway. “What are you doing, Duo?” Heero smirked shaking his head he was speaking a bit louder over the cries of the hungry baby.

“Oh I just thought the floor looked like a more cozy place to sleep,” Duo said in a very dignified manor for someone who had virtually tripped themselves on their own shoe. “Well I better feed the baby he seems pretty hungry.” Duo said getting up on his knees and then stood up feeling a lot more awake now thanks to the carpet being slammed into his face.


“Ah I see,” Heero smirked and the laughed he couldn’t help himself that was just too funny. He leaned against the door frame and was chuckling lowly into his hand at first he was trying to contain himself. Then he couldn’t help it he burst out into hearty warm laughter.

Duo was shaking his head trying to keep in a sore mood, but when Heero actually laughed it was big. “Ah shut up,” Duo smirked and picked up the crying baby and placed him over his shoulder.

Heero caught his breath some, “You looked like you slid into home basis,” Heero then went back to laughing again and gave a little snort.

Duo looked over at Heero laughing and couldn’t help himself, and started laughing as well he shook his head “Yeah alright that was pretty damn funny eh?” Duo laid Xanatos down on the changing table and quickly changed his diaper. Duo picked the baby up once he was cleaned and walked toward the bed hearing Heero still laughing, he set the pillows up so he could lean against them.

“Yeah, I’d say I never had such a good laugh before” Heero said and brought his finger up and whipped tears away. “Wow that felt good thanks Duo,” Heero said clearing his throat and trying to recover his normal Heero Yuy attitude he normally sported.

Duo chuckled again with Heero, “Hmm well so happy to amuse you darling,” Duo said in a light tone. By this time Xanatos was screaming so the, young lovers had to call over him. He was shaking his little fists he wanted to be fed, and he wanted it now. Duo sat down on the bed and put his back against the pillows. He looked down at the angry baby who was wearing a cute baby blue footie with the cow jumped over the moon pictures printed on it. Again Xanatos had gotten so worked up that he didn’t notice the nipple. Duo rolled his eyes and rubbed it on his lip and Xanatos aggressively suckled the nipple into his mouth. Both Duo and Heero’s ears were ringing with the sound of their child. “Damn boy,” Duo said shaking his head at his son, “your going to have really high blood pressure if you don’t stop getting this worked up.” He warned his little son.

Heero walked over and sat on the edge of the bed, he watched Duo feed Xanatos. “Well Duo I called Trowa and Quatre they are going to be here at 7:30 I can’t leave you alone I don’t feel comfortable.”

Duo rolled his eyes, “Your being overly…” Duo began but Heero put his hand over Duo’s mouth. Duo fallowed the hand with his eyes so he looked cross eyed trying to look at it on his mouth.

“Duo, stop I am not who knows what might happen this time if I leave you alone you can never stay out of trouble. I don’t want to hear it, I made up my mind and that is final.” Heero said to Duo firmly then removed his hand from Duo’s lips.

“Fine,” Duo said and looked down at Xanatos who was contently nursing, he bent his head down and kissed his son on the face. “Well I guess it is ok, Quatre could help me out with the baby more then.” He shrugged.

“There you go, its not like I am asking you to do something you hate you know” Heero pointed out then picked up Duo’s hand and kissed it. “I am only doing this cause I really care about you.”

Duo took his hand from Heero’s and placed it on Heero’s cheek and ran his thumb over his smooth face. “I know you do Heero I am grateful for that.”
