Chapter 4

Later that day Trowa came out to the back of the house where Duo and Heero had gone to sit on the large outdoor bed glider that looked over the pond. Duo was laying on Heero’s chest he had his arm wrapped around him. The day had gotten warmer the sky was blue, there was a nice cool breeze that would blow occasion. Making being outside very pleasant indeed, Trowa could see the tops of Duo and Heero’s heads as they seemed to be laying quite cozily on the bed glider together.

Trowa walked to the front of the glider his shadow fell over both of them as he stood in the center of the swing. Duo perked his head up when the sun had been blocked. “I think we all need to talk.” Trowa said looking at Heero and Duo.

Heero nodded, “very well then, go tell Quatre and Wufei to come out here. Its to cozy to move right now.” Heero said and Duo laid his head back on Heero’s chest.

“Fine,” Trowa stuck his hand in his pocket and took out his cell phone and he dialed Quatre’s number. Trowa sat down on the glider near Duo’s feet. “Come down to the pond we will have our meeting here. Heero refuses to move he said he is too comfortable. Yeah I know, alright bye.” Trowa then flipped his phone shut.

Duo watched a butterfly fluttering around on the cheery blossoms of the white barked cheery tree that grew over the glider. They were little white and yellow butterflies every once in a while a big orange and black and white spotted butterfly would flutter past.

Quatre and Wufei made their way down to the pond, to find Heero and Duo in the same position as they had been earlier. Trowa was still sitting on the edge of the glider with his arms crossed over his chest and one leg draped over the other, he had been pushing the glider gently with his foot. Trowa had been watching the wind making ripples on the pond causing the light of the sun to be broken up into blinding large liquid diamonds that seemed to be stuck under the dark gray murky water of the pond.

Heero had been idly playing with Duo’s braid, and was watching the clouds pass lazily by his eye lids were starting to get heavy. The quiet the sound of the water and the gentle rocking of the glider and having Duo save in his arms was enough to allow the zero one pilot into a lulled stated. Duo’s own chestnut lashes were laying softly on his white cheeks he had fallen to sleep after being memorized by the softly swaying cheery trees branches. Heero kept petting Duo’s hair like it was a cat’s tail it was so soft and so beautiful.

Wufei noted that Duo was sleeping or he seemed to be, he looked so beautiful from where he was standing, like a picture of true peace was on Duo’s face as he lay on Heero’s chest. Though Wufei never thought Heero’s chest was the best for a pillow since he was so skinny. Wufei walked over next to Heero’s side of the glider bed and crawled up next to him and sat next to him with his legs folded. This caused the Persian eyed boy next to him to open his eyes and turn his head to look at Wufei.

Trowa opened his arms for Quatre he wasn’t far behind Wufei, Quatre walked into Trowa’s arms. Trowa lifted Quatre up onto his lap and closed his arms around him and kissed him on his temple. Quatre sat with his none injured arm toward Trowa’s chest. The other had a white patch with medical tape going around it in a square. Trowa had finally gotten the bleeding to stop on poor Quatre’s arm Duo had taken a mean chunk out of zero fours arm.

Heero did feel somewhat bad about it because he was the one kissing Quatre and that is how they managed to be in this predicament in the first place. Heero would never show how he felt, “So what is you’d all like to say?” Heero wondered being the one to actually break the peace for once normally it would have been Duo now he had become mute it seemed or at least not the chatty one anymore. Which was still unnerving to Heero.

Quatre looked up from where he had been running circles over Trowa’s hand with his finger tips, Trowa had rested both of his hands in Quatre’s lap. The two fit together so perfectly it was as if Trowa and Quatre were made for each other. “I am not so sure we are the ones who need to actually say anything Heero.” Quatre’s blue eyes glitter in the sun, “though confirmation of what is going on now would be nice for all of us seeing as we have all been lovers for years now. I think you owe us an explanation as to why your suddenly acting like this. Instead of the three of us assuming things. Just be nice if you told us yourself what is going on with you and Duo. Are you wanting to just be with him and shut the rest of us out?” Quatre wondered pausing now to see if Heero would answer this question.

Heero’s face of course remained passive, though Quatre could always read into his eyes that was where Heero held all his emotions he could tell Heero was conflicted with this question. It seemed there was a long moment of silences before Heero spoke as it seemed he had really thought about this. He could feel all three of his lovers eyes boring into him now trying to read him since he wasn’t answering right away. Heero closed his eyes this was hard to try to come with the proper answer as Heero was never one with words. He was more of a straight forward action type of guy, Heero felt like he did owe them an explanation he supposed since his earlier actions got Quatre hurt.

Heero finally spoke after what seemed like an eternity of silence, “Yes,” Heero simply answered he was wanting to shut them out of the lovers portion of his and Duo’s life. Heero could see the hurt in Quatre’s eyes, he could feel his pain from there. This had been one reason why he was trying to avoid it but it didn’t matter it seemed Quatre got hurt whether Heero stayed silent or he spoke. “You…” Quatre had looked down thinking this was all Heero would say so did Trowa and Wufei. They looked at Heero again when he actually spoke, “Quatre you shouldn’t be so sad, you have Trowa and Wufei who still love you and besides you and Trowa make for such a beautiful couple, a perfect couple really you two should be together as well it just makes such beautiful since. I can’t have anyone doing what was done five years ago to Duo anymore. Unless the sexual act is done by me, Duo is mine and mine alone I do not love you, Trowa, Quatre and Wufei like I love Duo. It is not fair to the three of you, so it would be best if you left the two of us alone when it comes to the sexual acts I can’t stand it when you touch him anymore. I do not find sexual enjoyment from touching the three of you anymore.” Heero fell silent once more this was the most they thought was ever said by Heero in one setting without him being interrupted.

Quatre looked over at Wufei who was not seeming to take what Heero had to say to well he had clinched his fists and was shaking. “You can’t just claim Duo like that!” Wufei couldn’t hold it back any longer. Wufei loved Duo deeply at times he just wished Heero would get his greedy paws off of Duo. “You can’t, because he really has no say either at this point in time, he may know that he likes the feelings we give him. The way you acted toward him in the beginning caused him to believe you were the only one he should fallow, you manipulated him into this and it is not right!”

Duo had stirred awake from Wufei yelling and he perked his head up to see Wufei was sitting next to Heero. Then he saw Trowa and Quatre sitting at his feet, Duo blinked his sleepy amethyst eyes. Duo growled at Wufei for being so close to Heero and seeming to be taking an aggressive tone with his mate.

“See what I mean,” Wufei gestured to Duo with his hand. “you have corrupted him into thinking he is your little pet and he must protect you from us, “maybe you don’t like it, perhaps you have fallen out of love with us, you can’t speak for Duo as well. No one not even Duo can speak for himself at this given point in time. I think until Duo can walk up right like a human and make choices on his own like a human. You have no right to shun anyone away from Duo.” Wufei said crossing his arms firmly over his chest.

“Duo stop growling,” Quatre said looking over at him, “that is Wufei he is your lover too not just Heero.” Quatre said trying to get through to him. “I am your lover so is Trowa.” Quatre spoke to him in a desperate tone as Duo growl was getting deeper as Wufei went on yelling and Heero.

Duo looked over at Quatre and growled at him as well it seemed Duo’s memory was just fine, he remember who Quatre was and he remember Trowa. Duo sat up on his feet and crouched down on the swing. He glared at all of them his braid had fallen over his shoulder he had a very wild look in his eyes. As he felt the peaceful day outside being snagged away by what seemed to be these three evil boys in his mind.

Quatre had tears in his eyes when Duo started to act like a watch dog ready to pounce on his master’s command. “Come on Duo stop please,” Quatre said as Trowa stood up he held Quatre in his arms. Thinking it be better not to be so close to Duo incase he decided to spring on them or something.

Duo then tilted his head to the side when he saw Quatre’s tears he didn’t notice but Heero had started to slowly wrap his hand around Duo’s braid and he took hold of his hair by the butt firmly. Heero easily pulled Duo back down next to him this way. “That is enough Duo I told you that you didn’t have to be aggressive toward Quatre, Trowa and Wufei now didn’t I?” Heero whispered into the top of Duo’s head which was now laying in the middle of his chest. “Nod your head if you understand me,” Heero went on. Wufei was seeming to get even more pissed by Heero’s actions he was trembling he wanted Duo to stay with all of them so he could still touch him too.

Duo nodded his head meekly in response to Heero whispering into his forehead as He felt Heero let his hair go a bit so he could answer.

Trowa set Quatre down on his feet, “I think Wufei is more than right on what he is saying Heero you can’t really speak for Duo at this given point in time. Of course you can speak for yourself I am very sad that you have decided you no longer love us in the way of lovers. You can’t speak for Duo you just can’t. Its not right Heero what do you think Trowa?” Quatre wondered as he was hugging on to his side Trowa had his arm draped over Quatre’s shoulder and was holding him to his body comfortably.

“I have to agree as well with Wufei as well, don’t you see you can’t control Duo’s actions and thoughts Heero. If you go that rout your no better then that master we saved him from you know.” Trowa pointed out and Heero finally made a facial expression normally of course when this happened it was never anything to pleasant to look at it was always quiet nerve racking he could give the his looks can kill glare.

“Shut up,” Heero said to Trowa silently, “I am not as bad as that bastard and I never will be I just love Duo and I want him and I want to be alone with him I think him having more than one partner at his mind state would be too confusing as it is. He attack Quatre, he is clinging to me on his own I did not force him to fallow after me. He dose it on his own free will I have no strings attached to his mind. Also I don’t want to let Duo out of my site again, I can’t trust you all to keep a good eye on him that was how he was taken the last time was it not? So from now on I will be his soul lover and you all can just be his nice supportive friends.” Heero said coldly to Trowa, Quatre and Wufei he could tell Wufei about to sock him in the face.

“ YOU Just can’t take Duo like that for yourself you say you have no control but your lying you can’t lie to use Heero! You told us your truth through that bit you just said, you just want to keep him to yourself because your afraid he’ll disappear again! And news flash Yuy you allowed him to be kidnapped to it wasn’t just our fault!” Wufei shouted again he couldn’t help it his emotions were flying at the moment because Heero was trying to take away his Duo from him in his eyes he wouldn’t stand for it.

Duo blinked and listened to the passion in Wufei’s voice it was so strong and needy even to his animal like mind. Duo thought Wufei needed some comfort now as well. Though Duo loved Heero and didn’t want anyone else touching him, he had an urge to comfort Wufei. Heero’s glare on his face was still intact but this time it went for Wufei. “Oh I did… I believe I asked you Trowa and Quatre to watch after Duo while I was on my mission. So in away I suppose your right I left him with people who were less then capable of protecting Duo from harm clearly you are right this is my foolish mistake thus why I won’t let it happen again and I’ll keep him near my side for all times now.”

Trowa sighed, “your making him sound like some little child who couldn’t protect himself, also your acting like he can’t make choices for himself. Or couldn’t at the time, we weren’t going to chain him up or keep him locked in a room really no one could anyways he’d escape on his own. Duo believe it or not had a free will of his own to go and do whatever he pleased.” Trowa tried to explain to Heero that Duo wasn’t a child then when he was kidnapped. “Also no one of us lovers it so blame for Duo’s kidnapping, only one who was to blame is dead now. It is quiet upsetting that you have come to the choice that you have Heero. That you no longer love us its painful really, sure I have Quatre and Wufei who I love as well I love you as well and I love Duo this love we have for each other is an equal love there was no love higher for another. Perhaps it might have been in different ways for the different lover as we aren’t the same. The love I have for each of you is equal, so if you no longer love us it is like key to the piano missing or the string of a violin had snapped and caused blood to flow on my finger tips as I lose that part of me. It is painful and the melody will be off also I can’t believe you Heero I don’t believe you no longer love us. You are just scared like the rest of us that we will lose Duo like did before. I think instead of breaking apart and allowing the tragedy to destroy us. We should stick together when we all had been searching tirelessly for our lover. Please Heero don’t leave us don’t say you don’t love us anymore.” Trowa’s voice was full of emotion now as well Quatre was already sniffling into his hand as Trowa spoke.

“Yeah, Heero Please,” Quatre broke from Trowa’s side he didn’t care anymore he wanted to touch Heero he crawled up between Wufei and Heero and buried his face into what little chest he could since Duo’s face had be taking up most of the space. Quatre gripped hold of Heero’s shirt and started to cry, Quatre couldn’t let Heero go. “Just as selfishly as you cling to Duo I will do the same, I will cling to the both of you!” Quatre said through a wall of tears he then sat up and pulled Heero and Duo into his body one on either side of him and wrapped his arms around them. Trowa came up behind Quatre and hugged him and placed his hands on Duo and Heero Wufei moved around and hugged Duo from behind also he ran his hand onto Heero’s back. Duo had his cheek pressed against Quatre’s left side he could hear his heart beating with passion and love for them all. “Please Heero don’t go, and please don’t take our Duo too. We have all spent five years without him.” Quatre said sniffling and rubbed Duo on his cheek. “Duo we all love you, we all want you to get better, we don’t want to lose you again.” Quatre said and kissed Duo on his cheek. Even if the bite mark on his arm had started to bleed again and hurt massively he ignored it. Quatre refused to let Heero do this now.

Heero was trembling as his head was forced to be pressed to Quatre’s chest like this. Quatre knew this was like trying to pin down the alpha male. What Quatre was doing may result in a very violent outburst from Heero. Since Heero wasn’t good with his emotions normally they would all whorl together to cause Heero to be a very pissed off beast. He took his love, hate, joy and anger he would mix it together to create one massive force of energy which always resulted in something painful. Heero knew Quatre was right though so was Trowa. “Please Heero,” Trowa spoke feeling his trembling as he rubbed his back. “If you leave our small pack we would be lost without you. If you took Duo with you it would only be more devastation.” Trowa whispered to Heero.

“If you took Duo with you, I swear I would hunt after the two of you, because I refuse too lose Duo again. I will not lose you either.” Wufei could tell Heero was going into emotion over load right now. Wufei kissed him on his cheek and neck softly as he petted Duo on his braid softly.

Quatre had taken to kissing Duo on his head and trying to clam him down as well. Duo then wrapped his arms around Quatre and Trowa and was wiggling excitedly all of this closeness and the energy was getting to Duo he was understanding now that all four of these men where for him not just Heero. Though Heero was like the leader but that didn’t mean the rest of these boys hugging him weren’t equal. Duo giggled against Trowa and Quatre which was a little surprising to the two as he hugged them.

“I love, I love, I love, I love” Duo burst out and licked Quatre on his face then did likewise to Trowa then turned and slobbered Heero on his cheek even if he was still trying to collect his thoughts to processes what to make of having his head smashed to his other uke’s chest. Which Heero knew trying to break up with Quatre wouldn’t work anyways he was fooling himself they all were right. Heero gave a little grunting when Duo licked him again. Before he wiggled around in the little hugging bunch and pounced Wufei to his back making the swing go back and forth.

Wufei laughed when Duo landed on top of him, Duo bent down he happily licked over Wufei’s face. Then he kissed him. “I love!” Duo snuggled Wufei’s neck his braid fell to the side and he kissed Wufei on his neck then he got up and pounced on the three boys still trying to make since of Duo’s excitement. As he pounced on them Trowa lost his balance with having Heero and Quatre pushed into them and all four of them fell off the glider with Duo on top of him Trowa was on his back Quatre laying on his back between his legs and Heero’s laying on Quatre’s chest still now with Duo a wiggling excited ball of energy on his back.

“Hmn,” Heero grunted again as Quatre was giggling they managed to fall just enough away from the glider so it wouldn’t arm them and Wufei laughed some as he was being swung back and forth quiet swiftly from Duo’s massive leaping then all four of them falling off Wufei then got off the swing and flopped down on top of Duo who giggled. “Well I suppose its clear who Duo choose. Leave it to Duo to take a serious situation and turn it into all five of us laying on the ground.” Heero said cracking a smile as Duo kept licking and kissing him behind the ear.

Trowa was going into fits of laughter under Quatre who of course was enjoying laughing just as much as Trowa at the silly situation. That Duo had gotten them into, “Of course,” Quatre managed to proclaim as he looked up into Duo’s pretty eyes, from where he was still on top of Heero, with Wufei still laying on top of Duo. Duo tried to reach down and lick at Quatre and managed to do this then tried to get at Trowa when he did this it knocked Wufei over who laughed and rolled some next to the pile of boys. Duo slobbered Trowa on the face with his tongue to before he crawled off of Heero’s back and leapt on Wufei again as he rolled to the side.

Heero rolled off of Quatre and lay next to Trowa and sighed shaking his head. “Well I suppose the boss has spoken,” Heero chuckled a bit as he watched Duo shower Wufei with kisses. Quatre rolled over between Wufei and Trowa. Trowa took hold of Heero’s hand and Quatre’s as they lay on their backs.

“What boss?” Trowa wondered looking over at Heero and pulled his hand up to his lip and kissed it.

Heero smiled as Trowa was giving him a beautiful smile around his knuckles, “Alright Barton you made your point.” Heero said and squeezed Trowa’s hand then turned Trowa’s hand and around and started to kiss his knuckles instead.

Quatre was watching Duo kissing Wufei happily and Quatre took hold of Wufei’s hand and kissed it. Duo then broke the kiss from Wufei finally and saw all the boys were now laying on their backs. He bent down and kissed Quatre on his lips before he moved down to where Trowa and Heero where making bed room eyes at each other over each other’s hands. He broke in between their hands and wiggled them apart so he was laying down too just like the rest of them. Duo linked his hand with Heero then he did likewise with Trowa.

Duo then looked up at the cheery blossom tree, and watched the branches began to sway in that hypnotizing way that would lure, him into a sweet beautiful dream. The gentle sloshing of the water on the bank, the soft breeze blowing through the grass being surrounded by the ones he loved the warm sunshine. Most of all his freedom, to see the sky again to touch Heero, Trowa, Quatre and Wufei again. It was all so wonderful. “I love,” Duo whispered and closed his eyes feeling tears welling in them and they slipped over his cheeks. Duo was slowly starting to melt back into the person he once was but it would still take some time with these four to help him it would make it easier.

“Love you too Duo,” Heero said looking up at the sky and squeezing his hand.

“Love you Duo baby,” Trowa said brushing his thumb over his knuckles.

“Love you too sweet heart,” Quatre echoed Trowa.

“Love you always,” Wufei’s warm beautiful voice hit against Duo’s hears all the sweet love rushed into his very core. As the love rushed over him and closed its beautiful wings around his body. The silly zero two pilot was lulled to sleep by the soft song of freedom and love.
