Chapter 5 of Dark Princess. Not any 1xR interaction here
but basically the history of Trowa and Wufei and Relena and how they are all
intertwined. A bit more with Duo, Hilde and Quatre and a small appearance by
Heero.
************************************************************************
Hilde began to shake somewhat, her mind registering all of what her husband had
just told her. His encounter with a vampire, his transformation, her near death
which led to her own transformation and resurrection that led further still to
her husband\'s soon to be defilement by Quatre.
Part of her wanted to cry, another part of her wanted to scream in rage, while
yet still another part of her wanted to be thrilled that she was even alive.
The emotions were too many and too confusing.
"Talk to me Hilde. Please tell me you forgive, you understand, or,"
he swallowed thickly, "... tell me you hate me even, just please say
something."
Her own embrace tightened around the man she knew was her true soul mate,
through life, and death. Her anger still was there and she wasn\'t sure if she
could forgive him just yet, but she knew she could never hate him. She nuzzled
her head as deep as she could into his chest. Her whispered words were muffled
somewhat but still loud and clear enough for Duo to hear. "Through richer
or poorer, sickness and health, for better or worse, \'til death do us
part."
Duo held her as tightly to him as he ever had and nestled his face into the
crook of her neck. "What good in my life did I do to deserve someone like
you Hilde? I love you so much. You. . . are. . . \'everything\' to me. Never
forget that. No matter what."
"I love you too, my darling...ah!" She jerked away from him and fell
to her knees clutching her stomach, her head ringing in pain. "Duo! Wha. .
. What\'s wrong?"
He knelt beside his wife quickly and held her once again. "It\'s your
hunger setting in. I experienced it too. It will subside as soon as you
drink."
She looked up at him in disbelief, still holding her gut. "As in
blood?"
"You\'re a vampire now aren\'t you? Why Duo, you never told me your mate was
so perceptive." Quatre spoke in his usual smart-ass tone as he stood
before them, an old, decrepit man in his arms. He threw the body to the floor
as it moaned but remained unconscious. "Well, bon appetite my lady. Dinner
is served."
Hilde shook her head in defiance and disgust. "No! I won\'t do it! I won\'t
kill another human being!"
"Simply think of them as a cow, a fish, hell he tastes like chicken."
Quatre snickered at his own joke that Hilde didn\'t appreciate.
"You are a horrible creature!"
"Mmm. So I\'ve heard. But," he approached her and grabbed her by the
hair on top of her head and dragged her across the floor. She kicked and
screamed but could not break his hold. Duo attacked but with one blow of
Quatre\'s free arm he was knocked to a far wall and slid down it unconscious.
Hilde screamed again as she found herself on her knees, her head still being
held by Quatre\'s one hand. In his other hand he held the head of the sleeping
man to the side, exposing his neck. "He\'s homeless, a throwback to the
human race, no one will miss him or not notice he\'s gone. You\'re actually
doing him a favor by ending his miserable existence."
"No, no! I won\'t!"
Exasperated, Quatre huffed. "I didn\'t want to have to do this but you
leave me no other choice." With those words, he slammed Hilde\'s face into
the crook of the man\'s neck, her mouth on his jugular, but still she fou
Quatre tightened his grip and the pressure on Hilde\'s head. "I usually
like a girl with spunk but you are getting quite ridiculous. No matter, soon
your own senses and needs will out weigh any part of your guilty
conscious."
The blonde vampire\'s words rang true as Hilde\'s nose picked up the distinctive
scent of blood even through the man\'s skin. The flow of it pounded in her ears
as she began to shake, pains shooting through her abdomen. For the first time
she felt the sharp points of her fangs and the guilt and fear she had was soon
forgotten, clouded over a much stronger forces, hunger, desire, the need to
survive. A few drops of blood splashed on her cheeks and nose as for the first
time she found herself drinking from a human. She growled and sunk her fangs in
deeper.
Quatre released her and rose to his feet, laughing to himself as usual.
"What would the two of you do with out me?"

Wufei
closely studied his partner with narrowed eyes. He had known something was
troubling the taller vampire and unfortunately he knew just what, or more
appropriately who, was troubling him. He was angry and hurt; he could take no
more. "Why is it you are thinking of her? I know you once desired her
above all others but I thought you were past those feelings, that, you. . .you
had moved on and now desired me more than anyone, anything else!"
Trowa raised an eyebrow and slowly turned to Wufei as he was buttoning up his
shirt. "True, I have replaced you with her and I don\'t regret it in the
least, but it\'s more complicated than that. She has affected my life like no
other, vampire or human."
"Care to explain? I\'ve nothing but time."
Trowa sighed, figuring it was well past the time he should have explained his
relationship with Relena to Wufei.
"When I was still human, I tried to tame her to my will but she proved
stronger than me and now, this human she seems to have grown attached to...why
is it he is the one to have the pull over my princess that I could never
have?"
"So, this is more about him, then Relena? You are jealous of this person
because he has managed to do what you were never able to."
"Perhaps so, but as I said it is more complicated then that. You may never
understand the complexity of the relationship between Relena and me, now or, in
the past. It was she who brought me over into this world."
Wufei looked straight into Trowa\'s eyes as if he were searching for
understanding. "I know she had brought me over as a present for you, but I
never knew she brought you over as well?"
Trowa half-smiled and leaned against the wall. He tilted his head back and
closed his eyes as if to envision the memories of a long forgotten time.
"I was quite the playboy in my human day, my pet. There was not a woman in
mid-evil France that could resist my charms, whether it was the way I looked
into their eyes as I kissed their hands or the way I could bring them to
screaming ecstasy as I held them close to me fucking them in their beds. Oh
yes, I was pompous and sure of myself, determined to lay any female I wanted
to. I didn\'t care if they were mad, od, or young, hell even some of the older
ones could still give me a few thrills if they were rich enough. But, my ego
was soon bruised, as even my body and soul when I became intrigued the first
time I ever laid eyes on her."
"To this day I can still remember. It was at a costume ball...she was
dressed in a gown of virginal white; diamonds and such sewn into the fabric
making it appear as if the stars themselves came down to worship her magnificent
gracn hen her back she wore snowy white wings, with real feathers I believe.
Her hair spilled around in large soft gold ringlets, the front was pulled back
clasped with a gold and diamond hair pin, and from the pin a matching tiara
encircled her head and fair brow giving the appearance of a halo." Trowa
lowered his head and crossed his arms over his chest. "She was a vision of
purity and naivety, my most enjoyable type of conquest."
"So you set out to seduce her."
Trowa opened his eyes halfway, his smile now somewhat evil. "Yes, my
pretty Wufei. I, set out to seduce, her. I was such a fool to believe I could.
She countered my moves, pierced my sugar laced words with her jabs of sour
vinegar and fought my sexual advances every second and before I knew it, it was
I who had been captured by her. I\'d never known a woman to defy me so and I
think that is when my feelings for her grew deeper. I not only had to ensnare
her, I had to possess her, keep her with me for eternity. Well, here I am. It\'s
true what they say about being careful what you wish for."
"So the great conqueror of women has been enslaved himself by one. And I
take it you found out that even in becoming one of her kind, you could never
bend her to your will."
The tawny haired man\'s bangs, which he had not gotten around to styling yet,
moved with him as he shook his head. "Correct. But, over time I accepted
defeat and as long as I could have her at least physically, I would be content.
Besides, I knew no one else had been able to tame her...until now."
Wufei snorted in disgust. "It\'s all about your ego. Your need to control
your lovers...is that why. . why you chose me? I am a man, not a woman."
Before the Chinese man could take his next breathe, Trowa was in front of him
gripping his face in between his hands.
"You are unique to me Wufei that is why I\'ve chosen you for my constant
companion. And it infuriates me to see you still clinging on to the
preconceived male/female bodies. You\'ve not accepted yet that our kind knows no
gender when it comes to sex. True we can choose one out of many to whom we wish
to dedicate ourselves to but whether they be purposefully male or female we do
not know until we have chosen them." He leaned down and kissed the other
man\'s black eyebrows. "You have been one of us for far too long to have
not learned to let go of what you knew as a human. By now you should have
embraced your new power and the inhibited nature that comes with it." He
pulled away then and his grip softened as intense dark green glared into ebon
pools of liquid ink. "I have chosen you, Wufei, above all others, even
Relena as much as I still feel for her. I never want you to doubt me
again."
But before Wufei could respond, he found himself being kissed harshly by his
older lover and the clothes that he had just put on were once again coming off
by the other man\'s hands.

"Yes...Mr.
Connor...I know we\'re a few payments late, but...hello? Mr. Connor? Damn
it!" Heero slammed down the phone in anger at the bank for having the gull
to call him at home and this time with the threat of foreclosure on his and
Duo\'s business. "This is the last thing I need!" He yelled as he
dialed Duo\'s cell phone. After a few dozen rings Heero gave up flinging his
phone on the couch. "Where the hell are you?" Heero sat on the couch
and sighed running his fingers through his hair; frustration mounting on his
shoulders even more. He jolted back up to his feet and made his way to the door
grabbing his jacket and slinging it over his shoulder. "Fuck it! Fuck the
business! Fuck Duo!" There was only one thing he was concerned about at
that moment, and it was finding Relena.
***********************
He
was an emperor\'s son, heir to an ancient and distinguished land who swore never
to have contact with the outside world. Then there was the day she had washed
up on his shores. A princess and the lone survivor of a shipwreck or so she had
claimed. She looked different than anyone he or his people had ever known or
seen, with her light hair and light eyes, yet she spoke their language
impeccably.
He was distrustful of her at first and wasn\'t sure he even liked her. Yet that
night that she came into his room, dressed in his peoples traditional clothing,
her skin pale and smooth, lips blood red, he found he could not deny her. But
she had tricked him, seduced him, and drank of his blood, turning him into one
of her kind. He was then forced to sail across the sea, away from his home to a
foreign land and even stranger world...and then she had presented him to Trowa,
as if he were a mere puppy, or worse yet, a slave. And as she walked away, he
could still see her face, her charming smile and large, sparkling eyes casting
deceptive shadows of innocence upon her face.
The dream was still fresh in Wufei\'s subconscious as he opened his eyes trying
to figure out why it was his body that was being shaken awake. His saw a lovely
familiar face before him. He smiled lazily as if he was drunk. "Relena."
The vampire princess sat beside him on the bed and shoved him again until he
admitted defeat and sat up beside her.
"What do you want Relena? Trowa\'s not here."
"So I\'ve noticed. Where is he?"
"Why do you want to know? So you can fuck his brains out."
"If I wanted to I wouldn\'t ask your permission now would I?"
Wufei shrugged and rolled his eyes. "You\'re the boss, or at least one of
them."
Relena clenched her jaw in anger but decided to let Wufei\'s disrespectful
attitude slide. "He seemed a little crazed earlier. I know him too well to
not trust my instincts on his emotions. Do you know what he\'s up to?"
"Maybe I do. If you answer me a question."
"Depends on what the question is."
"Why did you bring me over, or more so, why did you give me to Trowa?"
Relena tilted her head and smoothed Wufei\'s bronzed cheek. "Simple. He
wanted you."
"How did you even know he would treasure me as he does?"
Relena\'s features softened as she smoothed back his ebon hair that was loose
around his face and shoulders.
"Because he fell in love with you, sometime before you ever saw his face,
yet at the time he never knew, though I could see it in his very eyes."
"But he had not even seen me, until...what is it you have not told
me?"
"I was not the only one that came to your island that day, Wufei. Trowa
was with me as well. But we had to gain your people\'s trust, and we thought
introducing you to a helpless female would go over better then introducing you
to a helpless male."
"Helpless my ass! You deceived me, my people, how many of us did you kill
before you left?"
"I don\'t remember, but your population did not dwindle, after all they
were only two of us. But that fact is irrelevant to your question is it
not?"
"No."
She pulled Wufei into an embrace and still stroking the back his hair she
whispered in his ears. "I know Trowa better then he knows himself. I gave
you to him because I knew you could show him the love he longed for, the love I
could never give him, and the love I knew you longed for and needed as well."
She then pulled away from him and stared into his eyes. "Have I
sufficiently answered your question?"
Wufei lowered his head, averting his eyes. "I think Trowa went to find
your new male friend. I\'m not sure exactly what his plans are."
Relena sprang up from the bed, tugging Wufei behind her. Panic was evident in
her demeanor, though she handled it with her age-old grace. "We need to
hurry Wufei and find him before Trowa does."
"So you can save him?"
Her eyes flashed with intensely. "No, so that I can kill the human
