Ishikiga-aru
Roy was unsure about the homunculus that looked like Edward; when he first met the creature a year ago. In fact, he tried to forget about the monstrous creature that confronted him the night of Alphonse Elric's death. But during that whole year, the homunculus' presence bothered him. At first the homunculus followed him home and constantly watched him from a far away distance. It disturbed him for most of the year, but he got used to it and welcomed it.
He could almost sense the soul that was once Edward's in the Homunculus. It warmed him slightly each passing month. It felt as if the gate gave him one gift, a very special gift. He also knew that the company that the tsumi kept did not suit him. Especially when the tsumi came to him and followed him home with his knowledge. But, he was glad of the tsumi's presence.
Chapter Five: Ishikiga-aru
Roy was a little startled when he awoke with a mass of blonde hair fogging his vision. His foggy morning mind didn't quite register who's blonde hair it was, and then he remembered the blonde haired Homunculus who he told to sleep in the guest room for the last week. Roy didn't know weather to pity the homunculus or yell at him for sneaking into his room. Roy was amazed that he was calm enough with the homunculus being in his house that he slept through the smaller boy crawling into his bed.
Roy sighed and scratched the top of his head. He heard a muffled cry come from the sleeping boy, as if he was experiencing a nightmare. Do Homunculus dream or is it from the little soul he has in him? Roy wondered as he carefully got up, without disturbing the homunculus to get dressed for work. Roy had his back turned from the smaller male. "I hate sleeping..." Roy was slightly startled from the voice and turned quickly. "Why do you say that?" Roy asked as he calmed down and looked at the newly awaken homunculus.
"I get dreams...Envy told me that homunculus don’t get dreams. But I do. Their more like nightmares.........terrible memories...the memories I knew when I was first made." The blonde looked sad and was terribly pale. "Roy, I get scared at night. I remember about you and me. How happy we used to be together. Why was I killed? For what purpose did my death fulfill? We were all finally happy! " When the blonde looked up his eyes were fully an amber-gold color, but then slowly the color around the dilated pupil slowly turned slightly purple and mixed with the gold. "I'm sorry. What was I saying?"
Roy was scared, he hadn’t felt this scared since Ishabal nor had he felt so heartbroken to see the nearly soulless boy how he was. Yami looked up at Roy as he walked over to him and wrapped his arms around him. Roy was confused as he held the boy close to him, he was probably more confused then the startled boy. All the same he held the boy, half dressed and cried for what felt like hours. The blonde was unsure of what to do, so he held Roy. After all he trusted Roy more then he'd ever trust Envy. Envy killed whatever trust Yami had for him the other week.
"I'm sorry....” Roy whispered and let go of the boy. He quickly got dressed for work with the blonde boy staring at him with a puzzled look. "Do you have a change of clothing?" Roy finally asked knowing that the boy was going to follow him to work and hid out on the roof. "No... these are all I have.... why? Is there something wrong with them?" Roy sighed and remembered some of Ed's clothing that was in the guest room. "Yeah, they are dirty." Roy said and glared at the boy. " There are clothes that you can wear. Their in the guest room where you should have been sleeping!" Roy glared at the boy and the blonde gave him a smirk.
Roy watched the boy leave his room and he sat back onto his bed. The rubbed his temples sighing as if he had a headache. "Hey Roy! Where did you put the damned hair brush?!" Roy laughed slightly. "It's in the bathroom where you left it!" He heard a muffled growl and the sound of stomping. Well he's as bi-polar as me.... Roy got up fixed his hair with his comb that was on his nightstand and left his room. He went downstairs and put on his military boots hearing slight protests of "Where's that damned hair tie?" and "Damn it! Where did I put my damned boots!". Roy laughed slightly amused and hurt.
Roy yawned and attempted to cover his mouth. He heard soft thuds coming from the stairs and looked to see the familiar blonde walking towards him. He felt something in his chest shatter as he looked at the blonde whose hair was braided back and wildly bangs framing his face. He was wearing black jeans that had a leather shine to them, a black long sleeved vest that was white around the collar and at the hems that was held closed by a single metal bar that was at the base of the collar, under the vest that could barely be seen was a black tang top, and the only difference in the outfit that match his old lover so well was the coat. Instead of red, Yami worn nothing but black. "Well let's go!" Yami said cheerfully uncertain of the feelings he saw in Roy's eyes.
As they walked to the military head quarters, Yami felt disturbed by the many onlookers’ that stared at him. He heard them whisper, but he never quite caught on to what they were saying. But he knew they were talking about him.
Roy was never happier to see Hawkeye and paperwork, as he was when he entered his office. When he sat down he already knew that the braided haired blonde went to the roof to think about things. Things he told Roy that he'd never understand. Roy sighed happily as a bullet flied passed his head and hit the wall behind him. He started signing the stack of paperwork in front of him.
Yami stared at the city in front of him as a green haired Homunculus came up from behind him. "Been staying with the old man I see, O-chibi-san." Envy said in a resentful tone. Yami's frown deepened. "So...Why should you care!?" Yami could sense Envy's cocky smirk turn into a distasteful frown. "Why are you being so difficult, Yamitsuki? You're one of us! A Tsumi! Homunculus! Do you think that damn human cares about YOU? " Envy growled as the blonde haired tsumi got up and walked to the roof's exit. "Know what Envy, I don't give a damn. I trust that damned human more then I trust a sex driven maniac. Envy's blinked in shock as he was left alone on the roof. "Damn it. He's waking up."
Yami collapsed against the wall in the main hall. I hate him. I hate HIM. I HATE HIM! He repeated to himself, tears stinging his golden purple eyes. "Hey boss, what's wrong?" The voice of Jean Havoc coming from behind him startled him slightly. Yami stood up, blinked the threatening tears away and threw on a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine Lieutenant Havoc." Havoc remained unconvinced but returned the smile. "So what are you doing in so early?" Yami blinked and gave him a smirk. "Let's just say there is a lecher on the roof and it isn't Mustang." Havoc laughed at the smart comment. "You look different today, you know. Ton's of people are saying that the Fullmetal Alchemist is back from the dead." Yami let out a laugh and glared at the Lieutenant.
Everyone gets bored right? Roy thought as he heard several officers muttering about a crazed teen pulling pranks on several individuals. He must hate me really deep down inside for doing this.... Roy looked at the sign above his office door. It flashed in bright letters saying, "If you want a fantastic night in bed, come here!" Roy felt like laughing. He entered the office to see the back of his chair. "You know what, Roy-seiai?" Yami's voice sounded sad, depressed, not his as he turned to look at Roy with amber eyes. No purple within the eyes. "Hmm, Fullmetal." He watched as 'Yami' put his feet one on top of the other, on his desk that was amazingly free of paperwork. "Do you know how damn hard it is to talk through this body? Just to say I love you, to you? Especially when 'Yami' is full of denial?" Roy looked sadly at the boy, his heart telling him to go and hug the boy before him, but the other half of him knew better. "Denial of what?" Roy asked the hotheaded blonde.
"Of his feelings, and of my existence. It scares him. He's really just a half of me that died years ago. That's dying again. " Roy frowned at the blonde. "Why didn't you kill me all those months ago?" Roy knew this was Ed talking, His Ed, His lover. "I couldn't." He heard Ed sigh and then watched as Ed walked up towards him. "I'm losing my grip again. I'll talk to you soon. I still love you, Roy. So does he. Watch out for Envy. He's still alive." With that the blonde walked out of his office.
"Damn you, Ed." Roy whispered to the empty room. "Your always leaving me too soon..."
Envy was pissed as he walked back into his apartment. "Damn HIM. Who does he think he is?!" Wrath blinked and hid from Envy. He knew that a pissed Envy was never a good thing, even for him. Wrath sighed as he heard several crashes. I'm not fixing a thing this time. Wrath thought as he hid in his room.
Envy laid on the couch and closed his eyes. Damn him. He's becoming more like his old self more and more each day. Envy heard Wrath sneak out of his room to grab a bit to eat from the kitchen. "Oi twerp. Could you fix the damn dishes?" He heard Wrath sigh and sounds of him fixing the broken dishes. I wonder how he'll take his brother being dead when he fully awakens? Heh. I'll just kill the son of a bitch again. Hell. I'll make a game out of it. Who needs that tight assed Alchemist anyways? Not when I can get the stone from him.
Yami knew that Roy was being quiet on propose. I guess I pulled one to many pranks. Yami thought as he entered the house behind the man. Okay maybe that sign was a bit too much. But Hell I was bored! He can blame my lack of fresh air on everything! Yami sighed as he ate with the man. He watched the General go to his bedroom. I haven't seen him this moody since the first time I sneaked into his room at night. Yami sighed and knew he had a long night ahead of him.
