CHAPTER 6
CHAPTER 6
When the Trowa, Zechs, Wufei, and Ami arrived at the restaurant they went inside and were immediately led to a booth in a secluded corner. There they had a nice dinner and were finishing up when Ami and Wufei excused themselves to go wash up, leaving Trowa and Zechs alone.
Zechs looked up to meet Trowa’s bright green eyes. He got lost in those deep emerald pools before him. Before he knew what he was doing Zechs had reached across the table and taken Trowa’s hand.
Trowa was totally oblivious to everything around him. He had lost himself in Zechs’ eyes, as beautiful as a summer’s sky. They sat in silence as the moments slipped by. Ami and Wufei rejoined them after a few moments. They watched in amused silence a moment before Ami leaned in front of Trowa and said. “Earth to Trowa, come in Trowa. You need to come back down from the clouds now.”
Trowa blinked and looked around. He looked down at his hand still enfolded in Zechs’. He quickly yanked his hand away while blushing furiously. Ami sighed in a romantic fashion while Wufei muttered about stupid onna. Zechs sighed slightly as he stood.
“Is everyone ready to go?” he asked.
After Zechs paid, with much protesting on the others part, the four got into there car and pulled onto the highway.
“So, where to, Zechs?” Wufei asked as he scanned the road ahead.
“Take the highway East for ten miles then take exit 162.”
After Wufei turned off the highway Zechs directed him to a very long driveway. After driving for two miles they pulled up in front of a huge manor. It had a slight gothic style in the architecture. Wufei pulled up to the front of the main wing. It had four floors and many dark windows. Ivy climbed over a good portion of the wall on the ground floor, reaching up toward the second and third stories. Two such wings extended in either direction. The entire manor had a dark brooding sense to it.
Zechs sighed as he looked up at it. He quickly explained, “I don’t spend very much time here. It’s too dark and dreary for my tastes. But my late father left it to me so I figured I would keep it in the family since it has been in my family for eight generations.”
Ami craned her neck up to look at the top of the manor. “And you live here alone?” she asked. Zechs nodded. “Must be lonely.” She said. Zechs just smiled sadly.
“I really don’t spend much time here. I have an apartment in town I stay at but every once in a while I come out here to take care of the house. Well, I won’t keep you any longer I’m sure you’re anxious to get home.”
Everyone said their goodbyes and Wufei drove off. Trowa watched Zechs until he was out of sight then turned back to the front to find Ami watching him. Thankfully, she didn’t say anything but simply turned around in her seat to look out the front window.
Zechs watched as the car drove out of sight. “Goodbye my sweet Trowa.” He murmured as he turned to walk up the steps to the front door. There he was met by the butler and was shown inside.
Wufei dropped Ami off at her house before going back to his house. Once inside he told Trowa good night and went to his room.
Trowa got ready for bed. He was tired and thought that he would be able to sleep easily but he was awake for hours. Finally he dropped off to sleep around one in the morning and spent the rest of the night dreaming about a pair of beautiful blue eyes.
In his manor Zechs was also having trouble sleeping. He finally got up and crept downstairs to the kitchen for some tea. He made some green tea, strong, without too much sugar. He then went to his living room and curled up in an armchair and read a book. He finally drifted off to sleep and slept without dreaming.
