Taxi Ride
Here\'s the next chappy....next chapter things turn from a light mood to a bit more serious. Anyway, please read and review. I like to hear from my readers. Thanks for reading!
Duo stood on a corner with his dress in protective packaging, flagging down a taxi. "Taxi," he yelled.
Soon, a taxi stopped right in front of him. "Where to miss?" said the Arabian cab driver.
"The Emperor Palace Hotel," Duo replied.
"You on your honeymoon?" the driver asked.
"No, I wish I was though," Duo smiled, "The guy I\'m with is just amazing."
"Why the fancy dress?" asked the driver.
"I\'m going to the Emperor\'s Royal Ball tonight," Duo replied, "I\'ve never been to a ball before."
"Is this your first time in L5?" asked the driver.
"Yeah," he said, "I needed a vacation."
"Do you mind if I stop and give this guy at the corner a ride too, do you?" the driver asked.
"No," Duo said, "I don\'t mind."
The cab stopped at the curb and the man reached to open the door.
"Hee-chan?!" Duo exclaimed. "Hi," he waved and giggled. I guess since we\'re going to the same place, you can ride with me. If you don\'t mind.
"No, I\'d love to ride in this cab," Heero said to him.
He smiled at him, "I see you got your shopping done as well."
"Do you want to go out for lunch?"
"Sure, I\'d love to, but I have a hair appointment that I have to make," Duo told him, sadly.
"So," the driver says, "Tell me more about this guy you were talking about."
"He\'s simply amazing," Duo said happily.
"You really think so?" Heero asks, smiling at Duo. He nods at him, grinning ear-to-ear.
"We\'re here," the driver said, stopping abruptly in front of the hotel.
"Thank you," Heero told the driver, and he hands him a fifty dollar bill.
Carrying their things, they exit the taxi and enter the hotel. They quickly make their way to the room and Heero shuts the door.
"Duo," Heero said softly, "I didn\'t know you thought that about me."
"Well, I guess you learned something," Duo smiled.
"Yeah, he sighs, "I guess I did."
"I better go get to my hair appointment," Duo said, "I\'d hate to be late." Duo quickly walks out. As he walks out he thinks to himself, \'I was so stupid...stupid..stupid! I almost revealed my feelings for him.\' He felt so bad.
Meanwhile, back in the hotel room, Heero was shouting at himself. \'I think I almost could\'ve ruined myself.\'
