Bubbles
Quatre watched as Duo came out of the bedroom first the next morning, closely followed by the other three men that had been in his bed the previous night. They were all staring at him. What the hell were they staring at? Well, apparently, they all suddenly decided to notice how uncomfortable they were making him since they each turned away, except for Shinigami.
“I have to stay in the throne room today, otherwise I would give you a tour of Limbo myself. Trowa has to take care of a few things on earth, so he will be back later if you would like to see him then. Wufei will need to take care of the training of new Tenshi’s as he usually does, which leaves you with Heero.” Duo stated as he effortlessly plucked the boy from the sphere and set him in front of the only other person still in the room.
“Nice to meet you Quatre. I suppose we should get going. Shinigami has a meeting with Treize this morning that he shouldn’t be missing.” Heero stated as he guided the blonde from the room.
“Trowa said that he took Allysa to Treize last night when he found me. Is it about her?”
“You remember that? I don’t remember anything from my first month here except for being extremely tired. It affects short term memory. Let me know if you get tired while we’re walking, Duo would have my ass, and not in a good way, if he thought that I had caused you undue pain.” Heero didn’t even have to look at the blonde walking by his side to know that the boy had turned a bright shade of red. “Let’s start with the gateway and work our way back.”
“What are those? Allysa kept me in one when she brought me here.” Heero paused, facing the blonde, this had been the first question he had asked the entire tour. Heero hadn’t even realized that the punishment room had been open.
“Come with me, I‘ll show you.” The Asian stated before he led the way into the room. Quatre was shocked by what he saw.
This room was much like the first room he had ever seen. Only a long hall lined with these empty spheres. Only…they weren’t empty. They all had varying degrees of pissed off Tenshi’s in them. Some were very complacent, simply sitting in the sphere, doing nothing but waiting. Others were trying to break whatever the shield was made out of, and the rest seemed to be screaming at the top of their lungs, trying to get attention.
“When Tenshi’s do something bad…for example, stealing a soul that we were specifically ordered not to take, they are punished. Each Tenshi group consists of five Angels. One of which is higher ranking than the other four. Take Treize for example. He’s the highest ranking Angel out of his group, so when one of his Tenshi’s does something bad, they are taken to him for punishment. That way, Duo doesn’t have to constantly deal with misbehaving Angels.” Heero explained calmly as they walked down the hall. “Allysa did something bad, so she was taken to Treize so he could choose how to punish her. As you can see, he normally chooses humiliation.” Heero stated, indicating a sphere near the end of the hall. Quatre blushed as he realized why the red headed girl inside was sitting so nicely. She had been stripped of everything before she had been placed in her punishment shield.
“What happens when you do something wrong? You don’t have someone in charge of you except for Duo. Does he put you in these too?” Heero smiled at the blonde‘s question, but waited to answer the question until they were out of the hall, making sure other Tenshi’s couldn’t hear how he and the others were punished.
“Sometimes, but Duo…he’s a little different in his punishments. He usually overlooks minor infractions, since he knows that we do everything in our power to make sure we complete whatever mission he sets for us. We also always complete our missions…unless some other Tenshi decides to try to please their most powerful Angel and screws us over. No…it has to be something very bad for us to get punished.”
“But what does he do…he puts you in the sphere’s in the throne room…right? That’s what sounds fair.” Heero smiled again, he couldn’t wait for the blonde’s reaction to this.
“Well…he is very fair. When we do something wrong, he punishes us, but we have the most important things to do when it comes to Limbo, so we don’t have the time to be put in an isolation chamber. He tends to punish us by making us as uncomfortable as possible.”
“But how?” Quatre questioned again. Why wasn’t Heero giving him a straight answer?
“Usually by skipping the last bit of preparation. Or making us wear a cock ring while he does whatever he wants to us, light bondage…he likes to chain us to the bed so we can‘t move while he‘s tormenting us…or withholding sex. I hate when he withholds sex. He punishes us with something like that.” The blonde blushed but continued questioning him anyway. He had to know what Trowa was involved in with these three.
“How does that make you uncomfortable?” Heero couldn’t stop himself from laughing.
“When you masturbate, do you ever stick anything inside yourself?”
“What?” Quatre questioned. He really didn’t think it was any of this boy’s business what he did or did not do when he was…doing that.
“I’ll take that as a ‘no’, next time you do, think about how nice it’d be to feel full. Then think about how bad it would be to feel full without letting your muscles relax into it first.” Seeing how red the blonde had gotten, Heero changed the subject. Just because this boy was their final Angel didn’t mean they had to torment him with sex every few seconds. Though every few minutes was something entirely different. “I have a defense class to teach, are you tired?”
“Not really. Who are you teaching defense to?” Heero came to an abrupt halt inside of the next room.
“Them.” Quatre hadn’t seen many people since he had been down here. Down? Was that right? Maybe, he just wasn’t sure. They all appeared to be normal. They just looked like normal people to him, though he guessed that was sort of the point.
“’Fei, you want to finish up the tour while I take my class?” Quatre followed the brunette’s line of sight and realized that the darker haired Asian was standing at the front of the class.
“Sure, we can be done for today.” Wufei stated, making sure that the entire room could hear him.
“What were they doing…they were all just…standing there.” Quatre commented under his breath, hoping that Heero would still answer him.
“They’re still fairly new. So…they’re still human, like you. You can’t see spirits yet, neither can they. It‘s kind of like-“
“Basically they stand there, trying out their different senses until they can easily see a person’s aura without straining too hard. I‘ll take him back to the throne room.” Wufei easily cut in when he was within hearing distance.
“Heero promised he would show me where souls got sorted between heaven and hell.” Wufei sighed while he glared at the other Asian.
“You know better than to categorize them as heaven and hell.” He scolded before turning to the blonde. “If you want to think of them as that, it may be easier to understand, but the fact of the matter is that it’s really just two separate places for souls to rest. One is…peaceful, while the other is…not. I’ll take you, but then you’re going to take a nap. Even if you don’t feel like you need one, your body is wearing itself down.” Wufei stated before leading the way out of the hall.
Quatre had envisioned quite a few things by the time they actually got to the room that was used for sorting. It was very simple, just a room that had a gateway and two doors behind a desk. The blonde stood quietly, watching the person at the desk gesture to either door as a soul stepped up to them.
“The person at the desk is Milliardo, he’s filling in for Trowa, this is usually where you can find him. When souls make it to Limbo, they come through that gateway instead of the one that the Tenshi’s use. The judgment, if you want to call it that, is made by the Tenshi sitting behind the desk. When souls are in this state, we can easily see everything bad they have ever done. We weigh the options and then choose which door to let them through. See the rope dividing the room from the doors?” Quatre nodded, noticing that the ropes were completely sectioning off the doors from the souls. “The souls can only pass through the ropes after being given a judgment, it keeps them in order. If the soul feels as if it has been given the wrong judgment, we can set up a meeting with Shinigami for it. Though most of the souls feel like we get it right and go without putting up a fight.” The blonde nodded in understanding, watching a few more souls pass through the ropes.
“I’m starting to get tired…can we go back?” Wufei nodded, knowing that Quatre really just wanted to get away from that room. He didn’t blame him, Wufei hadn’t been able to go into that room for years after he had been brought to Limbo. The blue eyed boy didn’t speak again until he recognized the door to the throne room. “Am I allowed to stay here again…or would it be better for me to go back to the bubbles by the gateway?”
“I’ve never heard them called bubbles.” Wufei said through his laughter. “Duo expects you to stay near us until we can sort out everything.” The Asian stated evasively. Quatre was their last Angel…it was all they could do to not reach out to try to feel the new wings that were so prettily sticking out of the blonde‘s aura. It would be Duo’s place to inform the blonde when he thought he was ready.
“Alright…” Wufei smiled at the boy, missing the fact that he had reached out to gently touch the boy’s arm until the blonde leaned into him.
“It’s hard isn’t it? I’ve forgotten how much it took to make myself comfortable here. It helps to have the rest of your Tenshi’s help you through the transition.”
“I don’t have them.” Wufei didn’t allow himself to think through holding the boy closer to him. If he had thought about it, he probably would have decided what a bad idea it had been, but Quatre’s arms had slipped around him and returned the hug. In that moment, the Asian was happy he hadn’t taken the time to think about hugging the Tenshi.
“Let’s get you into one of those bubbles.”
“I have to stay in the throne room today, otherwise I would give you a tour of Limbo myself. Trowa has to take care of a few things on earth, so he will be back later if you would like to see him then.
