Silent Hill: Dead Dreams
Crimson Tears
Zen looked over at Gonet. He knew this had to be terrifying for him. Gonet always had such a hard time playing the game. Zen could easily recall all the times when Gonet had forced him to fight the monsters eh couldn't handle. Now he watched as his friend stayed close. His eyes large with fear. This place was on of Gonet's biggest nightmares, and they all had to live it.
The street they were on suddenly opened up to the right. A huge sign came through the fog. It was dirty and old. But everything here seemed to be falling apart, as if it was hundreds of years old. But around the sign was some bushes, and though they weren't completely dead, they weren't perfect health ether.
"Rosewater park..."
Zen turned towards Gonet. He was staring at the sign with a dazed look. The words didn't make Zen's eyes unless he really straned for it. Zen knew he had better sight then anyone, so how could Gonet see it? Then suddenly, Gonet started walking to a pathway next to the sign.
"I know this place..."
Zen turned towards Gonet. He had begun walking into the park. Zen fallowed him. He was so confused. Gonet's eyes glazed. As if he was in a trance.
Gonet walked straight down the brick path. Plants grew on the side. Everything seemed peaceful in this park. Zen almost forgot were they were. But then he looked at Gonet nothing but a hell ridden place would do something so terrible to innocent Gonet.
"I know what to see."
"What?" Zen had no idea what that could possible mean. He watched his friend still walking, but Gonet's eyes were returning to normal. Then the thin pathway opened up into a large area. He watched as Gonet walked up to the very end of it. Were there were bars. And past those bars was lake covered in the thick fog. Gonet stared over the still water.
"Silent Hill was once a place for tourist," He began, his voice still and emotionless, and that was not something Gonet did. "Children died that ay. Mothers. Fathers. Everyone and everything." Gonets voice was still that uneasy still, " I can see it all. The bodies that are barred in this lake. Their should."
To Zen this was all awkward and rant like. But Gonet went on. Staring over the vast, open water, the mist killing the sight of the other shore line. Zen glanced around. He decided Gonet was fine for a moment. He turned and saw a large stone sticking from the ground to his left. Glancing one more time at the ranting Gonet, he headed over to investigate. The think was old and warn.
Zen got closer, having to kneel to fully see the surface. It was covered in words that had been carved in. Unfortunately most of the words had been worn off, making them far too hard to read. But Zen could make out a good deal of it. In bold letters at the top it said, 'SILENT HILL MEMORIAL?' the second passage on it was readable, and Zen pulled out his small notebook and pen, and read the words out loud.
"This memorial price is in honor of those who died that terrible day. Over 60 people were barred in the lake. Some unidentified. May they all rest in peace."
Zen shut the notebook. The people were barried in the lake. Gonet... Zen turned back around at him. He was still staring over the lake. Mumbling on about he knew what to do, that he had seen before. Zen shuddered. Something had to be wrong. He remembered Gonet saying something about... About dead people in the lake. Zen quickly walked back up to Gonet.
"I can see it...I have been here before.... As long as I can see...."
Zen looked at Gonet. He had his eyes shut. He looked like he might be deep in thought. His hands gripped the lake railings hard. His eyes were clamped shut. It scared Zen. Not for himself, but for Gonet. He didn't known what he'd do if Gonet got hurt.
Suddenly Gonet screamed. And not a terror scream, but a in pain scream. Zen put his hand on Gonet's shoulder as he collapsed on the floor. The shriek was filled with so much pain. And Zen swore he could hear laughing. Gonet looked up at Zen, blood streaming from his eyes, " Zen," He started, his eyes opening. They were completely white, and the laughing got louder."I can't see."
