Frustrations

A/N: Another Chapter that I actually kind of like since Duo makes an appearance.

Again, much love if you are staying to finish this. I will let you know that I have finished all typing up all of the chapters and there will by eight in total. I will continue to post them every thee to four days as I have been doing, unless I get some kind of evidence that someone is reading past the first chapter.

Yeah, I guess I'm pulling out the bitch card. ;)

The ride was silent and to Noin it did not take long because she allowed her mind to go blank as she looked out the window. She did not even look at Wufei until he pulled into her driveway and stopped his car.

“Thanks for the ride.”

She then started to open her door, but he stopped her by reaching over to place a hand on her knee. “No goodbye kiss?”

“Would you really want one from the woman who might make you a father?” There was a different edge to her voice then he had ever heard before.

“Yes.” That was all Wufei said before he moved the hand that was on her knee to the side of her face and kissed her with a promise that they would work it out.

That one kiss seemed to tell Noin so much more then she thought his words ever could. It seemed that was all Wufei had to say, so Noin got out of the car and walked to her front door. She got her key out of her briefcase and slipped it into the door, before she turned it however, she looked over her shoulder to see that Wufei was still in the driveway. She finally unlocked the door then ans as soon as it was open, Wufei backed away and headed back down the road.

Noin sighed as she shut and locked the door. She looked at the wall clock to see that it was almost 1:30 pm. That only made her sigh again as she moved towards the stairs. She needed a long shower, a change of clothes and a scarf.

“Someone sure is sighing a lot for just getting the sense kissed out of her.”

“Duo!?!” Noin turned and saw a grinning Duo Maxwell standing in the living room. “What are you doing home?”

“Come on, Lu. You know I always take the day off when Mill leaves on a mission.”

This was true.

“Th question should be what are you doing home and doing the walk-of-shame too?” He shook his braided head. “I'm a little surprised. I did not even know you and Fei had a thing for each other.” He looked thoughtful for a moment. “LuFei!”

“LuFei?”

Duo nodded as he took her briefcase and put it on the floor and then looped his arm through hers and walked her towards the living room. “Yes, LuFei. Just like Mill and I are MaxCraft, you and Fei will be known as LuFei. It's a combination of your names.”

He smiled as he sat down with a stunned Noin. “Now, tell me all the details. Is he a good kisser? What did you do all night? Why did you miss work? Are you two officially together or just seeing how things go?”

Noin blinked at all of the questions that were being rapidly shot at her. Should she even tell Duo? Well, she did not see the harm in telling most. He had already seen him kiss her and she knew he could see the marks on her neck.

“I rather enjoy Wufei's kisses. We talked a lot, amongst other things. He called off for us both since it was so late when we decided to sleep. I had intended to go to work this morning.” She thought for a moment and looked at an anxious Duo. “I'm not sure how to describe us. We seemed to be doing very well and I would have said that we were going to try an official relationship, but then this morning we had a disagreement about something big and now I'm not so sure.”

“Could have fooled me.”

“What do you mean?”

Duo had a devilish grin on his handsome face. “That goodbye kiss did not look like one coming from a man who was not sure about where his relationship was headed after an argument. It looked as if he was reassuring you. Was the disagreement really that big?”

She nodded.

“Maybe he knows he was wrong and that was his way of telling you.” Duo shrugged. “It's hard to tell when I don't even know what it's about.”

“I'm sorry, but something tells me he would not be happy if I told you.”

“You're probably right.” He then took one of Noin's hands into both of his. “I would like to know if you like him. I know Fei almost as well as Sal. The man I saw this afternoon was a stranger. I believe you could be the first one to come along who could hurt him.”

Noin blinked. “You must be mistaken. There is no way you could know that.”

He just smile. “I have given the same look to Mill.” Duo laughed softly as her eyes widened. “When we were first together, he was very unsure of everything. Mill was worried about you and worried that I would not return his feelings. I had to reassure him that everything would work out. That you were strong and would want him to be happy. Most of all, I wanted him to know that I could return his feelings.”

“He did tell me that he thought we could have something if we tried. His kiss also seemed to promise that we would be OK, because we were still at odds when we left his house.” She looked at her hands that were now in her lap. “I'm afraid I might have been the one that was difficult this morning. He kept saying we should talk.”

“This was something important if you were not even willing to stay and talk.” Duo put his arm around the older woman and held her close. “It was a game changer, huh?”

Noin nodded once again.

Duo took a moment to look at Noin. To him, it looked as if she was folding in on herself. She was looking like a scared child, she had made herself so small. While he looked at her, he also thought about what she had told him and what she did not.

His guess was that the accomplished woman was smitten.

He was also sure that since he looked at her as a potential partner, Wufei now wanted her as well. Duo knew that both his friends were awkward when it came to dating, with Noin only ever being with Milliardo and Wufei being so private, maybe they could be good for each other if they are able to get over this issue.

Speaking of which, Duo thought he might have an idea of what could cause Noin to act in such a way and even think about ending the short relationship. He just was not sure how it could be sure a problem so early on. Unless...

His eyes zoned in on the marks on her neck. He had actually assumed that they were from some heavy making out and that the two had went to sleep without doing much else. Duo had always thought of Noin as too much of a lady and Wufei to have too much of a sense of justice to just sleep with a friend out of nowhere and decided to start a relationship, but that's the only conclusion he could come to, because if there was any chance Noin was with child and Wufei expressed that he did not want one of his own...

Duo now understood. He knew Wufei would take care of the child, help raise it and maybe even love it, but it would be out of a sense of justice. Nothing else. Noin did not want that. If she had his child, she would want a family.

For once, Duo was not sure what to say. He wanted both him friends to be happy, but the only way he saw that happening was if Wufei woke up tomorrow with his biological clock ticking or Noin was not with child.

“I wish there was something I could do to help.”

“Just being here and being you is enough, Duo.” Noin smiled at her friend. “I'm the one who is really to blame for all this and I would now even talk to him when he asked me to.” She shook her head.

Duo laughed dryly. “If I have come to the right conclusion, then usually the girl blames the guy in a situation like this.”

“It's kind of hard to blame Wufei when he tried to tell me no and even held me to stop me.” She looked away for a moment, wondering if she should continue. Well, she already told him everything else he did not guess. “I kind of forced myself onto him after he said he wanted me. I just couldn't help myself. I just kept thinking about how good he had made me feel last night. I needed him. Nothing ever felt as amazing as those moments.”

Duo could see a look what he could almost call love on her face as she remembered what had taken place that morning. He knew the feeling she was talking about. He had felt it many a time with Milliardo. He just hoped she would experience it again.

“Maybe you should talk to him tomorrow. “I'm thinking that might help somethings.” He told her with a soft smile.

“We agreed to talk tomorrow. I just hope I'm ready to face him. I'm starting to feel crappy, now that my anger is fading.”

Duo nodded. “I'm sure you'll feel better in the morning. Maybe you should just try not to think too hard about it until then.” He stood. “I hope things work out, I really do.” He then walked up the stairs to him room.

Sighing, Noin also stood, but she walked into the kitchen. She walked over to the coffee pot and planed to make a few cups, but once there, she saw that Duo had recently made a pot. So, she took a cup down and poured herself a cup. Once she took a drink, she was quick to the sink and spitting out the undrinkable elixir.

“I should have known.” She groaned.

Deciding to pass on coffee for now and going to the refrigerator to get herself a bottle of water instead. She sat down at the kitchen table and sipped on her water as she thought over all of everything that had happened since yesterday morning.

She had been sitting there for almost an hour when she decided not to think about what she would do or what her life would be like if she was with child. Noin figured it was best to not worry about that until she knew for sure. She actually did not think she was, but she knew that there was a possibility.

After throwing away her empty bottle and getting a new one, Noin made her way upstairs so that she could take a shower and change her clothes.

Noin went into her room and found a clean outfit which included an old blue t-shirt and worn-out jeans. She sighed once she finally was in the shower under the hot water. Although, she was greatly enjoying her shower, Noin was thinking she probably should have taken a cold shower.

As she began to lather herself, her mind decided that just taking a normal shower was not going to happen. Out of nowhere, her hands had turned into Wufei's. Her skin felt hotter then then the water could even make it. Noin's hands began to shake as her legs grew week and her mind flashed images of what it would be like if Wufei really was in the shower with her.

She ended up sliding down the shower wall to sit on the tub floor when her legs would no longer hold her weight. Her breathing was shallow as her hands moved to more intimate places with no intention of cleaning.

Noin's fingers trembled as they moved to her heated core. She had never particularly enjoyed pleasing herself, but this time it was Wufei's fingers that danced across her before entering. She moved her free hand to her ear and began to play with it, because she knew that if he was there he would be kissing, licking and nibbling it himself.

Just thinking of this was enough for her to reach a quick, yet satisfying end.

After taking a moment to catch her breath. Noin stood on still shaky legs and washed herself over quickly. Once done, she stepped out to finish getting ready for what was left of the day.

Noin walked downstairs to the kitchen once again to find Duo looking in the refrigerator. “Can't wait for me to make dinner?”

Duo turned swiftly and shut the door. There was a piece of cheese hanging out of his mouth. He quickly ate it. “You were taking so long in the shower, I was tempted to come in to check on you. I can't help it if I'm hungry.”

“If you're that hungry, we can just make wraps and salads.”

“Sounds good.” Duo smiled as he turned back around and filled his arms with meats and cheese and moved to the kitchen table.

Noin grabbed the lettuce, wraps, dressing and anything else Duo forgot. She saw that he was grabbing plates and silverware, so she went to get drinks. Two glasses and a pitcher of sweet tea. Duo might not be able to cook, but he made good tea and every now and then she would enjoy a glass.

“Going to tell me why you were in the shower so long or you going to let my mind run wild?” He wiggled his eyebrows at her as he worked on his salad.

She figured he would ask when he made his comment earlier, so she did not even look up from her own salad. “I really needed to get clean after the last 24 hours.” Noin was sticking to the truth without telling all, with his personal no lie rule, he was getting pretty good at telling when he heard one.

“So, I just imagined you screamed Fei's name?”

“What?”

“As I was walking past the bathroom on way to the stairs, I heard you scream his name.” Duo smiled as he now started to make his wrap. “He must be good that even just the thought of him can get you so worked up.”

“Better then good.” Said Noin as she finished her wrap and started to put everything away.

Duo helped put things back and then they sat down to enjoy their meal. “Well, you already know I'm going to stay up late watching movies in nothing but one of Mill's shirts while I'm wrapped up in our blanket, then sleep in tomorrow to mope around the house, because he's gone. What's your plan?”

“I'm just going to be lazy for once and just stay in my room until I go to Wufei's in the morning.” She took a drink of her tea and smiled at her friend. “I'll try not to interrupt your mopping when I return.”

“If you return.” Duo smirked at Noin's sharp look. “You might want to pack an overnight bag. If you two make up he might not let you go. I can tell you wouldn't mind.”

Noin shook her head. “We agreed to talk. I'm sure that even if we do work things out we will set up some ground rules, so that we don't have a repeat of this morning.”

Duo shrugged. “If you say so. Just make sure you have protection nearby at all times, so that this morning is less likely to happen again.”

By now, they had both finished eating and carried their dishes to the sink were Noin washed as Duo dried and put away.

“At this point, I'm just wanting to finding out if I'm with child or not. I know it can take up to two weeks, some times longer, to find out.” She sighed as she washed a plate. “Rather we stay together or not, it's going to be awkward.”

“You're right, but love can't come easy.”

Noin narrowed her eyes at the man. “You and Milliardo seem to have it pretty easy.”

Duo laughed as she turned off the water and he placed the last glass back into the cabinet. “Far from it, Lu.” He moved out of the kitchen and up the stairs as he talked and she followed. “I told you how Mill was when we were first together. How do you think it was for me? I have found him irresistibly attractive since the first time I saw him, but I never allowed myself to feel anything for him because he had you. Then out of the blue, you two are over. I was not sure how to feel about that. Then he called me and I found out he left you for me. How do you think that made me feel? You are my friend and you fiance left you for me and I did not even ask for it.”

They had stopped at the top of the stairs and Duo was not surprised when Noin just stared at him, so he continued. “I told him he was foolish and should beg you to take him back and forgive his stupidity, but he then told me that you were OK with it all and encouraged the relationship and even hoped that I would accept and make him happy. How could I say 'no'?”

“You mean you did not have feelings for him other then physical attraction when you two first got together?”

Duo nodded. “That is why it took so long for us to have our first sleep over. We agreed that we wanted to let those deeper feelings develop and grow before we acted on our baser needs. That is why we are so bonded now.” He looked dreamily off to the side. “We were as in love as two people could be who had not yet enjoyed each other physically.”

“Why have you never told me any of this?”

“You never asked.”

Noin was not sure what to think about this, but think about it she would.

“I'm not saying that it would be best for you and Wufei to wait until these feelings develop and mature, I'm just saying that we all have out battles to fight.”

She watched as he then turned to his room. Noin also went to hers. She laid down on her bed and felt a wave of fatigue wash over her. After all the physical and mental strain her body had been through, she was not surprised.

So, she rolled over to take a much needed nap.
