It\'s odd to sleep with your boyfriend in your childhood bed. It\'s the place where you learned to masturbate, and to just sleep…well we didn\'t just sleep. Nothing to explicit…just some PG rated kissing, although hands were starting to wander under shirts…
Back in high school I\'d never thought I\'d find myself making out with my boyfriend in my bed. Actually, I never thought that I\'d have a boyfriend, let alone making out with him. I never thought I\'d make out with a girlfriend in my room either. Life really can throw some crazy curve balls, sometimes.
Dinner went well…although I really felt bad for Trowa having sixteen people watching his every move; Iria and Halim were over too. He passed the inspection. Even Marya liked him. They say that babies are the best judges of character, and I suspect they\'re right.
I really need to talk to Cathy about having a baby. Trowa would make a wonderful Uncle.
He didn\'t even feel daunted by the meal and all the washing and courses and lack of utensils. I think he was enjoying it a little by dessert, especially since he leaned over and whispered in my ear that we needed to eat like that again in a more intimate setting before feeding me a piece of baklava. Honeyed pastries from the world\'s sweetest guy\'s fingers; I was in heaven. That move scored him points with my moms. They love romantic things like that. I think Omaira\'s fiancée scored points the same way.
After dinner, while Trowa was distracted by Mary, she\'s is the most adorable, sweet-tempered baby, Iria took me aside and gave me a talking to, not as a big sister but as a doctor.
\"Quatre, before I say this, I just want to make sure you and Trowa haven\'t…consummated your relationship…\"
\"No. We\'ve only kissed,\" I interrupted. My face was burning, so I knew I must have been as red as a tomato.
\"Good, because male/male sex is different from male/female sex. And before you go down that road you should know some of the basics. There are many similarities. The basics of sex are still the same, but some of the mechanics change when it involves same-sex couples. I suggest before you two head down that road that you do some research, together. An important part of all relationships is sharing.\" She paused here, obviously looking some recognition of understanding.
\"Okay.\" I nodded.
\"Now, for starters, I think you should talk to Duo. This isn\'t something that you necessarily have to do as a couple, but it\'s definitely something that you should do. He\'s a fount of knowledge. If he says anything that\'s scary, then tell Trowa andm sum sure that he\'ll clarify the confusion. Sex isn\'t scary, little brother, it\'s very enjoyable, especially if it\'s with the right person.\" She gave me a wink and a kiss before to say the conversation was over before, leading me back into the parlor.
What she said made a lot of sense. It is something that I\'ve actually considered. Dispelling some of the irrational fear might make it easier for me to get to that point.
Oh, Trowa\'s out of the bathroom. So, it\'s time for bed. I think maybe he\'s got his own irrational fears to work through, not that I mind in the mean time, but I guess there\'s a long road ahead of us, full of potholes and ruts.
It strange to think that a few months ago I saw that same long road and was depressed because I had to face all hazards alone. Now it doesn\'t seem so scary because if I\'m not stupid enough to try and deal with everything myself, then I\'ll have someone matching me bump bum bump. God, I\'m lucky.
