The Finals

“No, no, no. Absolutely not,” Kai said stubbornly crossing his arms across his chest and leaning against the doorframe of Rei’s hospital room eyeing the neko-jin who had shed the hospital clothes for some of his own.
It was the next morning, the day of the finals, and Rei was trying hard to convince Kai to let him come.
“Please Kai,” Rei said as he got up and walked slightly shakily over to Kai, “I just want to watch. I’ll stay in the stands with the other spectators. It’s the finals.”
Rei looked at Kai and pouted.
Kai stood up straight and put his hand on Rei’s cheek.
“Rei no. You can barely walk as it is. I don’t want you to get hurt. Please just stay here,” Kai whispered leaning forward and softly kissing Rei’s lips then he whispered, “Please Rei I don’t want to fight about it anymore. Promise me you’ll stay and behave.”
Rei sighed and placed one of his arms behind his back and crossed his forefinger and middle finger.
“I promise Kai. I guess I can watch the finals on TV. Well goodluck,” Rei said turning and heading for his bed.
Before Rei reached his bed he felt two arms wrap around his waist and he was pulled backwards into a hug.
“Please don’t be mad Rei. I just don’t want you to get hurt,” Kai said nuzzling Rei’s neck.
Rei turned around in the grip and looked at Kai.
“Kai I’m not made of glass. I don’t break as easy as you think,” Rei said putting his arms around Kai’s neck and placing his forehead against Kai’s.
Kai sighed and closed his eyes.
“I have to get going,” Kai said pulling and turning away.
Rei followed Kai out the door and watched him walk down the corridor and out of sight. Immediately looking around he saw a familiar brown braid disappear into one of the doors down the corridor.
Rei walked down and looked in.
Dr. Romanova stood there talking to one of the nurses.
The nurse seemed to nod at something she said and Dr. Romanova turned around.
Spotting Rei she smiled and said, “How are we feeling this morning?”
“Better thank-you,” Rei said smiling at her charmingly.
“Whatever it is no,” Dr. Romanova said walking past Rei.
“Please I just want to watch them compete. It’s the finals and I got to be there,” Rei said running after her.
Dr. Romanova stopped and when Rei stopped in front of her he swayed and almost collapsed.
“That is why you can’t leave until tomorrow,” Dr. Romanova said steadying the boy, “And what about your hearing and sight how many times has it amplified on you.”
“Only a few,” Rei lied.
“Did you ever think that was why Kai didn’t want to take you?” Dr. Romanova asked.
“But you’d be…. Hey, how did you know he wouldn’t take me?” Rei asked.
“I heard Kai talking to you earlier,” Dr. Romanova said walking into Dr. Candide’s office and started packing up her stuff.
“Are you leaving Dr. Romanova?” Rei asked watching Dr. Romanova.
“Yes the nurses have their orders and your release papers have been signed for tomorrow,” Dr. Romanova said zipping up the bag, “I’m not needed here anymore.”
Rei sighed in defeat then stood up straight and said, “You haven’t seen a beyblade match in a while have you Dr. Romanova? If you take me you’ll get to see one and I’ll have you to look after me.”
Dr. Romanova looked at Rei who was looking at her hopefully.
Dr. Romanova sighed and nodded saying, “On the conditions that if you start to feel ill or I say we have to leave you’ll do so with no arguments. Also stop calling me Dr. Romanova and call me Hope formalities are over.”
Rei grinned and nodded.
Hope threw the backpack over her shoulder and nodded, “Well let’s go then.”
Rei grinned and followed Hope down to the doctor’s car park and over to a small black convertible only having to stop and explain where Rei was going once.
Unlocking it the two climbed in.
Starting the car and getting out onto the road Rei directed her to the tournament.
Arriving they climbed out of the car and went inside.
Rei led the way up to the spectator stands. Spotting Mr. Dickensen, Rei and Hope walked over sitting behind the man.
Leaning forward Rei said, “Great we didn’t miss anything.”
“Rei. What are you doing here? I thought you weren’t to be released until tomorrow?”
Mr. Dickensen exclaimed.
“I’m not. Kai said he wasn’t going to take me so I got Hope to,” Rei said.
Hope leaned forward on Mr. Dickensen’s other side and said, “Don’t worry he’s got strict orders.”
“Kai’s not going to be happy Rei. He told me that you promised to stay at the hospital,” Mr. Dickensen said.
“This is news to me,” Hope said leaning back to look at Rei.
“I crossed my fingers behind my back so technically it’s not breaking a promise,” Rei said meekly, “Anyway I’m here now. As long as Kai doesn’t find out I’m fine.”
“It’s starting,” Hope said.
Rei and Hope leaned back into their chairs and watched.
“Welcome to the finals of the Vitara Cup. Today we have two teams who have fought each otin ain a final before. The Bladebreakers will go up against the Demolition Boys for the honour of the Vitara Cup. Who will win? The Bladebreakers are one blader down. Rei was taken ill a few days ago. What’s this I’ve just been told that Rei is actually here in the stands,” the announcer said.
“Oh no,” Rei whispered, “Hide me.”
“Too late,” Hope said, “You’ve been spotted.”
Rei looked down at the rest of his team just in time to see Max tap Kai on the shoulder and point in his direction.
Kai swung around and found Rei instantly.
Rei locked eyes with Kai and sunk in his seat and whispered, “I’m so dead.”
Hope looked at Kai.
He was looking at Rei with a look that said *You’re in so much trouble*. He had his arms crossed across his chest and he was tapping his foot.
Hope watched as the glance went from Rei to her.
Spotting her he pointed at both her and Rei and indicated for them to get down to the covered walkway to the arena.
“You two had better get going,” Mr. Dickensen said a soft laugh in his voice.
Hope followed Rei to the walkway where Kai was waiting.
At the look on Kai’s face Rei jumped behind Hope.
“Don’t you dare hide,” Kai growled out.
Rei poked his head out and looked at Kai.
“You promised,” Kai stated looking at the neko-jin.
“He had his fingers crossed behind his back,” Hope said simply.
“Traitor,” Rei muttered.
“It’s best to tell the truth right now. Lying makes things worse. Trust me,” Hope whispered then turning to Kai she said, “He’s fine. He just wanted to watch Kai and I’m here if anything happens.”
Kai looked from Rei to Hope and then back again sighing.
“Okay but I want you to stay where I can see you,” Kai said.
Rei jumped out from behind Hope and ran to Kai throwing his arms around the bluenette’s neck.
Kai wrapped his arms around Rei’s waist and hugged him.
“Let’s go,” Rei said grabbing Hope’s hand and leading her to the bench where the rest of the team stood waiti Kai Kai followed and stood beside Hope as she watched Rei get hugged and patted on the back.
Hope looked across the dish and nodded a greeting at Tala who nudged Bryan nodding his head towards Hope. Hope nodded a greeting to Bryan as well.
Kai saw this and looked at her oddly.
“I majored in poisons. My minor was Psychology,” Hope said.
Kai smirked, “Knew they needed help.”
“Don’t be mean Kai,” Hope said.
Hope sat on the bench with Rei who was growling softly in Bryan’s direction.
Hope placed a hand on his shoulder and said, “Settle or I’ll take you back to the hospital.”
“I can’t help it,” Rei mumbled settling down and leaning against Kai who was on his other side.
“They’re fine now,” Hope said looking at Bryan who was talking with Tala, “You won’t have any problems with them anymore.”
Kai and Rei looked over to see Tala whisper something in Bryan’s ear but what shocked them the most was the small kiss Tala placed on Bryan’s cheek as he pulled away.
“Well what do you know,” Rei said softly.
“Oh I’m so going to get back at them for all those years of teasing me,” Kai grinned.
Rei stomped on Kai’s foot making the bluenette let out an ouch.
“Leave them be Kai,” Rei scolded.
“So Kai who’s battling who?” Tyson asked walking up to them, “Can I go up against Tala again please. I want to see how good he’s gotten. I won’t bug you for a week.”
“That’s to an an opportunity to pass up,” Kai said looking at Tyson, “Go for it.”
“You can have Bryan,” Max said to Kai, shivering, “He freaks me out.”
Kai nodded and Max skipped out to where Spencer was waiting for his challenger.
Max prepared his blade for launch and the battle quickly started.
Hope watched the battle carefully.
Kai saw that Hope could easily follow the blades and their bit beast’s movements.
“Were you captain of your former team?” Kai asked turning his attention back to the battle.
“Yes,” Hope replied watching as Draciel defended against Seaborg’s attack.
Draciel got knocked backwards but still stood, the blade underneath it still spinning.
“Did you have a bit beast?” Kai asked.
“Brumghel. Still lies in my blade. I should take him out for a spin one day soon,” Hope said watching as Draciel attacked Seaborg but got rebounded right out of the dish.
“The winner is Spencer,” the judge called.
Max walked back over to them.
“I’m sorry. I tried,” Max said solemnly.
“Don’t worry about it Max,” Rei said comfortingly.
Max sat down next to Kenny. Kai stood and headed for the dish.
“Remember what I said Kai. Leave him be,” Rei called out.
“A triple scoop ice-cream says he’ll get under Bryan’s skin within ten seconds,” Tyson said watching Kai and Bryan ready their blades.
“You’re on,” Rei said looking at Tyson and holding out his hand.
Tyson took it and they sealed the deal.
Ten seconds later Tyson was grinning and looking at Rei who was hitting his forehead against Kenny’s laptop. Max was holding Kenny back from killing Rei and Dizzi was laughing. Hope just shook her head and rolled her eyes.
“You can pay up after the match,” Tyson said as he pried Kenny’s laptop from Rei’s fingers and Hope held him back from hitting Kai with it.
“Let me go. When I get my hands on him I’ll knock him into next week,” Rei said as he squirmed, “I’m so going to get him.”
Tyson had just pried the laptop from Rei’s hands when the boy fell to the floor holding his ears and shaking, “Hope it’s too loud.”
Hope knelt down in front of him and pulled him into a hug.
“Calm down it’ll go away. You’re too tense,” Hope said rocking the boy.
Max knelt and rubbed Rei’s back.
Rei soon calmed enough for the amplified noises to die down.
“Don’t let yourself get too worked up or it’ll happen again,” Hope said helping Rei to his feet.
Rei nodded and looked at Kai who was torn between the battle and Rei.
When Kai saw that Rei was all right he focused on the battle again.
“Are you okay or do you want me to take you back to the hospital?” Hope asked putting a hand on his shoulder.
“As soon as Kai finishes his battle he’ll insist that I go back,” Rei mumbled. “So I might as well wait a few seconds.”
Hope nodded and sat him down.
They watched as Dranzer and Falborg set up for a final attack.
When the two bit beasts collided, a flash of light blinded everyone.
When they could see, they found Dranzer at Bryan’s feet and Falborg at Kai’s.
“And the second match of the finals is a tie,” the judge said.
Kai picked up Falborg and walked over to Bryan.
Handing back their opponent’s blade Kai said something to Bryan and held out his hand. Bryan eyed the hand suspiciously before taking it with a smirk.
The two separated and headed back to their teams.
As soon as Kai was back he walked up to Rei and checked him over to see if he was all right. This caused Rei to laugh and Hope to shake her head.
Looking at Kenny, Max and Tyson she said, “Don’t think he trusts my abilities.”
Kenny, Max and Tyson grinned and turned to talk while Hope went to rescue Rei from Kai’s scrutinising.
“He’s fine,” Hope said softly.
Kai nodded satisfied, “I want you to go back to the hospital I’ll follow as soon as the battle finishes.”
Hope nodded.
Rei walked up to Kai and grinned before kissing the bluenette.
When Rei pulled away he looked at Kai’s shocked face and smirked, “Serves you right for picking on Bryan. Tyson tell Tala I wish I could have seen him battle I’m sure he’s improved. I’ll see you guys later.”
Kai watched Rei leave blinking.
He heard laughter and looked across to where Bryan and Tala were laughing hysterically.
Kai growled and stomped over to the bench.
“He got you good,” Tyson said laughing.
“Serves you right for teasing Bryan,” Max said.
Kai just crossed his arms across his chest, “Tyson. Battle. Now.”
Tyson bowed and walked up to the dish where Tala was already preparing his blade.
“Rei sends his apologies for leaving and that he’s sure you have improved,” Tyson said to the redhead.
“Tell Rei we’ll have to meet and talk sometime,” Tala said grinning.
“Will do,” Tyson said.
The two bladers prepared to launch their blades.
“3.2.1,” the judge yelled.
“Let it rip,” Tala and Tyson yelled launching their blades into the dish.

Rei walked into his hospital room and turned on the TV. Sitting on his bed he turned up the volume.
“Tyson has won the third battle of the Vitara Cup,” the announcer said, “A battle is needed to break the tie.”
Hope walked in with two sandwiches and two cans of soft drink.
“A fourth battle needs to be played to break the tie,” Rei said taking the sandwich and drink offered to him.
“Who’s battling who?” Hope asked pulling up a chair and taking a seat.
The TV was in split screen showing both teams. Kai and Tala were talking to their teams.
Going back to the dish the announcer continued.
“It looks like team captain versus team captain,” the announcer said.
“Kai against Tala,” Rei said.
“Figured that,” Hope said taking a bite of her sandwich.
Rei looked at her and poked out his tongue.
Hope nodded towards his sandwich and said, “Eat or you’re back on the drip.”
Rei opened the sandwich container and took half of it out biting into it, “Yum, chicken and cheese.”
“Thought you’d like it,” Hope said.
They watched Kai and Tala face each other at the dish.
“Who do you want to win?” Hope asked Rei.
“Don’t really mind. If the Demolition Boys win this then it improves their chances for getting into the next world tournament. That means we’ll have some worthy opponents but if they win Kai’s going to train us into the ground,” Rei said watching as Kai and Tala set up to launch their blades.
“And if Kai wins?” Hope asked taking a sip of her drink.
Rei grinned and turned to her, “Let’s just say the door to my room will need to be locked.”
“I don’t want hear that,” Hope said squirming in her chair.
Rei laughed at her.
“So when is Alexi’s and your wedding?” Rei asked.
“Two months,” Hope said and saw that the battle had started.
“That’s nice it’ll be in the middle of autumn,” Rei said looking at her then back at the TV, “Way to go Tala.”
“Nice move,” Hope said approvingly, “Doesn’t seem Kai liked it very much though.”
Rei just nodded.
They watched as Wolborg emerged from his blade and attacked Dranzer who had also come out.
Kai’s blade headed straight for Tala’s. A second before they collided, Tala’s blade vanished.
“Kai’s lost,” Hope and Rei said just before Kai’s blade was hit out of the dish.
“Looks like Kai won’t be happy for a while,” Hope said.
“He’ll live,” Rei said simply.
“You’re so supportive,” Hope said laughing.
They watched as Kai and Tala shook hands the camera’s closing in on their faces. Kai said something to Tala who replied, then giving a smirk he walked off.

Kai walked into the hospital room to find Rei clapping his hands happily and nodding his head.
Alexi and Hope stood there laughing.
“What’s going on in here?” Kai asked walking over to them.
“Alexi has invited the whole team to their wedding,” Rei said grinning.
Kai looked at Alexi and Hope and said, “Are you sure you want Tyson there. He’ll probably eat all the food.”
Alexi laughed, “If he’s anything like my brother I’ll be well prepared.”
“Well my work here is done,” Hope said turning to Rei she said, “After breakfast and your last injection tomorrow you can leave. Don’t get too worked up or you’ll have the same problem as at the stadium and eat properly for the next few weeks to get your strength back.”
“That it?” Rei asked.
“Basically yes,” Hope said walking out the door then popping her head back in she said, “Oh and no over exerting yourself, in anything.”
Alexi pushed her out the door shutting it behind him as Rei laughed.
Kai looked at him and shook his head, “Well that screws up my plans.”
Kai walked over to the bed and climbed up sitting cross-legged on it.
Rei crawled up and straddled Kai’s lap and wrapped his arms around Kai’s neck.
Leaning forward Rei kissed Kai on the lips.
Kai wrapped his arms around Rei and pulled him closer deepening the kiss.
Rei moved his hands to the bottom of Kai’s shirt and ran them underneath it.
Reaching Kai’s nipples he tweaked them while bucking his hips against Kai.
Kai groaned and pulled away from the kiss.
“Hope said that you weren’t to do anything overexerting,” Kai gasped as Rei leant forward and started to nibble on his ear.
“Don’t care,” Rei whispered licking the rim of Kai’s ear.
“Rei,” Kai moaned moving his hands to massage the swell of Rei’s hips.
Rei grinned before placing kisses along Kai’s jaw then pulling away he looked into Kai’s eyes.
Kai looked at Rei and saw that the neko-jin’s golden eyes were sparkling in the fading light.
Leaning forward Kai captured Rei’s lips in a soul-searing kiss.
Rolling sideways Kai pinned Rei’s body beneath his. He was nestled comfortably between Rei’s legs, which were bent with one of Rei’s thighs rubbing against him.
Kai pulled away and looked down at Rei he started to remove the neko-jin’s shirts.
When they were gone Kai leaned down and placed a kiss in the center of Rei’s chest, over his heart, while his handn aln along the hem of Rei’s pants.
Kai kissed his way across to Rei’s left nipple giving it a sharp bite immediately sucking it soothingly.
Rei gasped and arched his back rubbing his groin against Kai’s.
Kai repeated his actions on the other nipple receiving a moan for more from Rei.
Rei’s hands found the bottom of Kai’s shirt and tugged upwards. Kai felt Rei tugging on his shirt and pulled away to remove it.
Kai then removed both his and Rei’s pants and boxers.
Kai sat back and observed the beauty before him.
Rei was looking at him and breathing rapidly, a light sheen of sweat already decorated his body. Looking downward Kai saw Rei’s erection and smd.

Leaning down Kai licked it from base to tip in one fluid movement then quickly deep-throated it.
“Kai,” Rei moaned throwing his head back and gripping the sheets.

Rei threw back his head and moaned. It wasn’t a painful feeling, more weird than anything, but it felt good, real good.
Rei groaned in pleasure as Kai stroked and felt inside him.
A second finger followed as Kai stretched and prepared Rei.
Kai inserted a third finger and scissored them watching as Rei moaned and thrashed his head back and forth.
When Kai felt Rei was prepared enough he removed the fingers.
Rei whimpered at the loss but then gasped as Kai entered him.
Rei threw back his head and squeezed his eyes shut tight letting the euphoric state he’d lost return ten fold making him feel so good.
“God you’re so tight,” Kai groaned placing his forehead on Rei’s chest now fully sheathed in the boy his hands gripping the neko-jin’s waist tight.
Rei squirmed and groaned out, “Kai.”
Kai pulled out and thrusted back in causing Rei to yell his ecstasy to the ceiling.
Kai pulled out and pushed back in earning moans and gasps from the raven-haired boy.
Rei grabbed Kai’s shoulders and dragged his nails down Kai’s back arching up.
Kai thrusted in as Rei arched up and hit Rei’s prostate.
“Kai,” Rei yelled as white flashed before his eyes.
Kai continued to thrust and hit that spot dead on.
“Kai…. harder…. faster…. please,” Rei mewled out as he threw his head back and dug his nails into Kai’s shoulder blades.
Kai smirked as he kissed and bit Rei’s neck leaving hickey’s Rei was going to have a hard trouble hiding in the morning.
Kai picked up the pace and reached between them grabbing Rei’s erection and pumping it in time with his thrusts.

As Rei’s muscles clenched tightly around him Kai bit into Rei’s neck during blood. He thrusted in once more.
“REI,” Kai yelled spilling his seed inside Rei.
Kai pulled out and collapsed on his back next to Rei. Pulling the boy on top of him.
Both boys were breathing hard and shaking.
Kai wrapped his arms around Rei tighter putting a kiss on top of his raven locks.
Rei looked up at Kai and smiled at him.
“Love you,” Rei said putting a small kiss on Kai’s lips.
“Love you too kitten,” Kai said leaning down and kissing Rei’s forehead.
Rei reached up and ran a finger down Kai’s cheek.
“Did I get to tell you that you look better without those triangle’s?” Rei asked.
“No but I’ll take it into consideration,” Kai said grabbing the finger and kissing it.
“We should get showered and dressed the nurses do their rounds soon,” Rei said pushing himself up but his arms gave out on him and he crashed back down on Kai.
“Damn it,” Rei grumbled trying to get up again but failing miserably.
“Hope did warn you,” Kai said.
Kai sat up holding Rei against him.
Rei slid his legs off the bed and put them on the floor. Standing up his legs felt like jelly.
Before he collapsed Kai had stood and picked Rei up cradling the neko-jin against his chest.
Kai walked into the bathroom and put Rei in the chair that was there and went back and collected their clothes.
Putting their clothes on the rack Kai grabbed the two towels out of the cupboard where Hope had stored them and placed them beside the clothes.
Kai went and turned on the shower making it nice and warm.
Suddenly two arms wrapped around his chest and a body pressed up against his.
Kai turned around and wrapped his arms around Rei’s waist walking backwards and pulling him into the shower.
Rei nuzzled into Kai’s chest and yawned.
“I can’t wait to get out of here tomorrow,” Rei said softly and arched into Kai’s touch as he washed Rei’s body.
Rei purred as Kai washed him. When Kai had washed him Rei pulled back and lent against the shower wall and watched as Kai washed himself.
Rei cocked his head to the side to watch Kai but a sharp pain had him reaching for his neck.
Feeling nothing Rei stumbled out to the mirror and looked in it.
Teeth marks adorned his shoulder. Rei saw Kai in the mirror before a body pushed up against him and Kai nuzzled the mark.
“Mine,” Kai whispered in his ear.
Rei turned around and sat on the sink wrapping his legs around Kai and pulling him close.
Kai smirked and stole a kiss saying, “Don’t tempt me.”
Rei put his arms around Kai’s neck and kissed him passionately.
Kai wrapped his arms around Rei’s waist and pulled him off the sink. Rei unwrapped his legs from around Kai’s waist and put his feet on the floor.
Kai reached over and grabbed Rei’s boxers and handed them to Rei. Who put them on, while Kai put on his.
Kai then put Rei’s undershirt over Rei’s head. Rei put his arms in the armholes and wrapped his arms around Kai who pulled the shirt down.
“Are you going to wear a shirt?” Rei asked.
Kai shook his head.
“Good, but why am I wearing one?” Rei asked yawning.
“Because I refuse to let you catch a cold,” Kai said leading Rei to the chair by the bed.
Pushing Rei into it he changed the sheets and put Rei in the nice clean bed.
Kai climbed in and Rei snuggled into his chest.
Rei was soon asleep purring contentedly.
“Mine,” Kai whispered tightening his hold on Rei before falling asleep himself.
