Chapter 7
Chapter 7: The power of revival
The arguments between Trunks and the woman increased everyday, in addition to the problem about Merie and Sheera. He wanted to k now more, and she did not speak about it. Damian was telling not mention anything else about the situation.
Moreover, adding to Trunks’ trauma, this was the subject that he hated more, marketing. He needed this class to end his bachelor in administration. No matter that, he was the best in his real talented area that was mechanic, and the world’s champion and hero. But, he wanted to follow the Brief’s family tradition and wanted to learn how to manage a company, along with the creation of new vehicles.
But, how can you concentrate when you can’t trust to someone that didn’t tell you al about the situation? And that person is living with her ‘son’ in your own house? Most of all; how Bulma can be so calm in this situation?
Trunks went to the lab, looking for his mother. Is been days since the last time he went there, helping there. He found her with Damian repairing the time machine. “Mom, can I have a word with you?” “Sure son. Damian, can you make these calculations while I’m back? Good.” When Bulma close the door behind her, she saw the not-so-good-mood face in her son. “Ok, tell me what do you want to know.” She asked, with arms crossed. He didn’t surprise that attitude, in fact, it was already a family trademark. “I was wondering if you know something about them that I don’t. You look so confident with them, so…” “I see, first than all, let tell you something son. I didn’t have this kind of confidence and instinct in me, you’ll never be born. Second, I think that she is been the best that se can about her situation. Think about it, it has someone after her tail as if she was an object, the child that she raised as her own and her twin sister became insane for a man. Don’t expect her to trust you the very first day, or even a week later.” He looked down, damn when momma is right. “And…you’ve treating her like it was her fault, she is ding the best, taking care of a kid who’s not her son, and trying to save the only family she have left.. Think about it son, and give her a chance, ok? She can be a great friend if you see it more clearly.” She kissed his son on his cheek and got back to work.
Later, that night…
Trunks waited until she returned form her training, she had been distant since the last argument, and he couldn’t blame her. When she finally entered the house, he was in the living room, in the dark. “What do you want.” She said without looking at him. “I wan to talk to you…” she continues walking, ignoring his words. “...Outside, where no one can hear us.” He whispered, making sure that she can hear him clearly, she nodded and walked outside of the house, along with him. “Ok, here we are, in the middle of the backyard, almost midnight, talking, now what.” She was being sarcastic with him. he though before opens his mouth. “Well, is just that I wanted to say….about the other day…all those things, you know…weren’t really what I was thinking n that moment. I was mad and….” When he looked at her, she was watching him as if she couldn’t understand a thing about what he was talking about. “…ok I say it! I’m sorry, sorry for the way that I treat you that day ok?! I just want to start again, and this time being just good friends, or at least allies during this entire situation. What do you think?” ended Trunks with a shy smile in his face. Mayling turned away, she was meditating about it, the she turned back at him. “I agree, let’s start again, can we?” his turned into one full of happiness. Suddenly he extended his hand, even when he knows that she doesn’t like physical contact. “Hi, my name is Trunks, nice to meet you…” “Muriel, my name is Muriel. Nice to meet you too.” And shook hands. “I like that name better, it suits you more than the earthling one.” He said in a low tone, making her take her hand back, and looking at the house.
In one of the windows, Bulma and Damian were watching, waving their hands to them. Muriel smiled at them, and Trunks looked at her, amazed.
