All for you
Chapter six

“Hey, Kisara, are you ready, the others are waiting and…” Kai became instantly silent when he closed the door behind him. Kisara wasn’t there. He frowned and looked around, puzzled. He looked into the bathroom but she wasn’t there. He noticed that she hadn’t finished her packing, which made him even more puzzled. Why would she leave before she was finished, especially since they were leaving?

Kai walked up to the large suitcase and that was when he noticed it – a small note lying on the bed.
He picked it up with trembling hands and began reading. The words made his heart freeze with fear.

Kai,
We’ve got the girl. If you want to see her again, meet us at the Red Square as soon as you’ve read this message - alone. If you don’t, you’ll never see her again, be sure of that. Oh, and if you want her back alive, I suggest you don’t tell anyone about this.

Kai stared at the note. He knew he recognized the handwriting, he just couldn’t remember whose it was. But that didn’t matter. Someone had Kisara – and he thought he knew who. Kai clenched his fists in anger. His crimson eyes burned with hatred.
He wasn’t going to allow anyone to hurt her; he would make sure of that. He scribbled down a short message to Mr. Dickenson and the others before leaving the room.
He ran down the hall, holding the note firmly in his hand.
‘Kisara…’ he thought. ‘Don’t worry; I swear that I will save you. No one is going to hurt you, I promise.’

-------------------

Kai reached the Red Square shortly after he had found the note in the room. He looked around, trying to figure out just who had left him the note and asked him to meet him here. He looked around hoping to spot Kisara somewhere in the crowd, but he didn’t see her.
He walked to a corner and stood there, watching and waiting for something to happen.

“Long time no see, my dear student,” a cold voice suddenly said from behind him.

Kai spun around only to face his old mentor, one of the two men he hated most in the entire universe – Boris.

“Boris!” Kai hissed. He clenched his fists and glared at the man. “What do you want?!”

Boris shook his head and smiled amused.

“Dear boy, didn’t you get my note?”

“So it was you!” Kai cried. “Where is she?! Where’s Kisara?!”

“I suggest you calm down,” Boris said coldly. “The little wench’s alright. But she won’t be for long if you don’t do what we want.”

“And what may that just be?” Kai asked suspiciously.

“That’s simple, Kai,” Boris said with his loathsome voice. “Your grandfather wants you back in the abbey. If you come with me now the girl won’t be harmed.”

“And if I do follow with you, what happens to her?”

“She’ll also be brought to the abbey on Lord Voltaire’s orders. If you come with us willingly that is. If you don’t… well… let’s just say that she’ll meet a not so pleasant fate.”

Kai stared at the despicable man, his crimson eyes burning with hatred. He had no choice. He knew that Boris was serious about Kisara. If he didn’t come with him now, they would kill her, he was absolutely certain about that. He didn’t know what fate awaited him in the abbey, but he couldn’t let anyone hurt her; he had to save her somehow.

“Alright,” he then said. “I’ll come with you on one condition.”

“I think I already know what that may be,” Boris said, waving it off. “Don’t worry, you’ll get your precious little girlfriend back.”

Kai’s eyes narrowed and he clenched his fists in anger, but he did follow the man. He had no other choice. If he wanted to save the woman he loved he had to sacrifice himself, but it was a sacrifice he was willing to make.

-------------------

A little later…

Kai felt sick. He was back in the abbey, the place he had sworn never to return to. He was standing in his grandfather’s office, waiting for the old man. Boris was standing quietly at his side.
He glanced at the door when it opened and closed as his grandfather entered.

“Good to see you, grandson,” Voltaire greeted him. He sat down at his large desk and smiled at Kai, but it wasn’t a friendly one.

“I wish I could say the same,” Kai replied coldly. Voltaire chuckled.

“You haven’t changed much since we met last time.”

“Let’s get to the point,” Kai said curtly. “Where’s Kisara?” Voltaire smiled delightedly.

“You’ve grown quite fond of her, haven’t you, Kai?” Voltaire asked slyly. “Don’t worry, she’s safe and unharmed. And she’ll stay that way if you do what I want.”

“And what is that?” Kai hissed between clenched teeth.

“You’ll soon see. In the meantime, both of you will stay here in the abbey.”

Kai walked up to the large desk and stared at his grandfather, his crimson eyes burning with hatred.

“I want her back,” he said in a deadly tone. “I want to see that she’s alright with my own eyes.”

Voltaire glared back at his grandson.

“You shouldn’t press your luck, Kai,” he said darkly. “You’re in absolutely no position to give orders around here. The girl is only kept alive because of my good will. You ought to think that over.”

“When can I see her then?”

“When I say so.”

Kai gritted his teeth and clenched his fists in anger and frustration. He knew his grandfather was right. He was selling his soul to the devil in order to save the only person he truly loved.
Kai sighed deeply. He placed his hands on the desk and leaned against it, his shoulders dropped with helplessness. He had given up.

“Fine,” he said silently. “I’ll do whatever you want, but only if you promise me that nothing will happen to Kisara.”

Voltaire nodded.

“I promise that your little woman won’t be harmed as long as you follow my orders. You have my word on it.”

Kai looked up and looked straight into his grandfather’s dark eyes.

"I swear, if you hurt her, I'll kill you," he said vehemently.

Voltaire eyed his grandson silently. He knew the boy was serious about his threat. Voltaire chuckled. The boy sure was his grandson – and he would fit into his plan perfectly.

Kisara woke up on a hard and small bed. She groaned and opened her eyes.

‘Where am I…?’ she thought confused.

She slowly sat up and looked around. She seemed to be inside a cell of some kind. It was dark and cold and seemed very familiar…
Kisara’s eyes widened with fear when she realized where she was.

‘No!’ she thought horrified. ‘No it can’t be! Please don’t let it be it! Please let me be somewhere else! Anywhere except this place!’

She gasped when someone stopped by the bars to her cell and looked into it. It was pretty dark so Kisara couldn’t quite make out his features, but there was something familiar with the young man.

“Who… who are you?” she whispered frightened.

The dark figure sighed – a bit sadly she noticed – and leaned against the bars.

“Have you forgotten me?” he said sadly. Kisara gasped when she finally recognized who he was.

“That voice…” she whispered. “You… you’re… Tala…”

Tala smiled towards her as she walked up to him. Kisara answered his smile but then she realized something and it faded. Tears formed in her sapphire blue eyes.

“Why?” she whispered, sad and hurt. Tala flinched at her saddened look.

“I…” he began, but he didn’t seem to find the words.

“Tala…” she sobbed. “Do you really hate me so much that you would bring me here again?”

Tala dropped to his knees in front of her, burying his face in his hands.

“Of course I don’t!” he said sadly. “Please forgive me, Kisara, but I had no other choice.”

Warm tears rolled down her cheeks as she slowly sank to her knees. Hesitantly she reached her hand outside the bars and touched him. Tala’s head shot up and he stared stunned at her. She smiled sadly when she saw his tear striped face and she cupped his cheek, gently caressing the tears away with her thumb.

“Kisara…” Tala whispered as more warm tears rolled down his face.

“I’ve missed you… Tala…” Kisara whispered softly, her eyes warm and caring. “Now… please… tell me everything…”

-------------------

Mr. Dickenson was waiting in the hotel lobby for the others to arrive. Their plane was leaving within the hour and they were supposed to leave for the airport.

“Mr. Dickenson!”

The old man looked up when he heard the distressed call of Ray. He saw Ray come running towards him with the others right after him. They all looked very upset.

“What’s wrong?” he asked worried. Ray held out a piece of paper to him, worry written all over his face. The old man took the note and read it.

Something’s come up. I’m sorry, but I don’t know if I’ll make it in time for the flight. Don’t worry.
Kai.

The note was very short and didn’t tell much, but that was how Kai usually wrote notes. However, what concerned Mr. Dickenson most was when Kai had written that he didn’t know if he’d make it in time for the flight.

“Where’s Kisara?” he then asked the teenagers.

“We couldn’t find her anywhere,” Mariah said worriedly. “They’re both gone.”

“What should we do?” Kenny asked. “The plane leaves within an hour and we have to leave for the airport now!”

“We have no choice but to wait,” Ray said. “We can’t leave Kai and Kisara behind.”

“Yeah, you’re right,” Tyson agreed. “Let’s go look for them! Maybe they’re around the hotel somewhere.”

“That’s a good idea, Tyson,” Max said. “Come on guys, let’s go!”

“See you soon Mr. Dickenson,” Kenny said before they took off. “We’ll stay in touch.”

Mr. Dickenson sighed deeply and sank down into his seat. For some reason he felt very, very bad about all this. He had the feeling that something was terribly wrong.

-------------------

“Oh, I see…” Kisara said after hearing Tala’s explanation.

“I’m so sorry, Kisara,” Tala said sadly. “You must know that I never meant to hurt you, I would never do it on purpose, but I had to. He would have killed them otherwise.”

Kisara smiled slightly.

“It’s alright,” she said softly. “I don’t blame you for all this.” She sighed and looked up at the wall. “I never thought that I would be back here though… It was my only wish… to never have to see this place again.”

Tala watched her as she wiped away her tears with the back of her hand. He felt awful, worse than awful. How could he had done this to her, one of the persons he cared for most in the world? He then heard how she chuckled slightly and he looked bewildered at her.

“You know…” she said slowly. “I remember when we were kids and we used to share a cell like this… we were always three in each cell and you, myself and Kai shared one. This may sound absolutely crazy, but those times, when the three of us were together… that was the happiest time of my life – even if I had to spend it here.” Tala smiled too.

“Yeah, I know,” he said softly. He smiled and closed his eyes when he thought back to those days.

*~*~*~ FLASHBACK *~*~*~

It was a cold winter day in Moscow. The three kids sitting outside the abbey were silently staring up at the starry sky.

“There’s so many of them…” Kisara whispered with awe. She was sitting between Kai and Tala, enjoying their warmth.

“Yeah…” Tala said slowly.

The three children had been allowed some time outside this night. It was very unusual for them to get this kind of rewards, but it happened. Mostly because the three of them had done very well at the Beyblading lessons today. Even though Boris had been against it – Voltaire had thought that they deserved it.

Kisara felt herself getting cold and she began shaking a little, something Kai noticed immediately since they sat so close to each other.

“Are you cold?” he asked gently. Kisara looked at him and nodded silently. Kai smiled at her and placed an arm around her shoulders, pulling her close to him. Kisara leant against his shoulder, relishing the warmth he spread into her body.

Tala watched them a bit sadly. He knew that Kai and Kisara shared a deep bond, stronger than the one he shared with them.
And to be honest he was jealous.
Kai had always been like a brother to him and he loved him like one, but still… he loved Kisara more than anything and it devastated him knowing that Kisara loved Kai more. She always had.
He looked down at the ground, his eyes dimmed with sadness. But then he felt a small hand squeeze his and he looked up and met Kisara’s gaze. She smiled lovingly at him and her eyes were warm. Tala smiled back and he felt his heart swell with happiness. She loved him alright, but maybe not in the way he wanted. Still, he was grateful for having her in his life.

*~*~*~ END FLASHBACK *~*~*~

Tala watched her sadly. He couldn’t see her eyes since she kept them locked to the floor, but he could see the tears that fell down her cheeks. They glittered like crystals as they dropped to the floor. He then felt determination rise within him. He would never let them have her, never!

“Kisara,” he said, making her look at him. He reached into the cell and took her hand. “I swear I’ll get you out of here. I don’t know how, but I’ll rather die than hurt you again.”

Kisara looked at him with teary eyes, but then she smiled and squeezed his hand.

“Thank you, Tala,” she whispered as she leant against the bars. He smiled and leant against it too so that their foreheads touched.

That's it. I hope you enjoyed it :D Please review!
