\"Hey... wake up.\" Slowly the White tiger opened his eyes and he found himself looking into a pair of golden ones.

\"Where am I?\" Rei said looking around, he saw that it was like cave… fit for a lion.

\"In my den.\" Lee said as he sat down and watched Rei.

\"Where’s the exit?\" Rei moved from the wall but Lee growled and jumped in front of him.

\"I don\'t think so.\" Lee walked towards Rei, making him back up into the wall. \"I was told I was going to get a new play toy... and you’re it.\" Lee said.

Rei grinned. \"Too bad!\" Rei yelled as he used his claw like hands and slashed Lee across the eyes.

Lee roared in pain and Rei made a dash for the door with Lee hot on his tail. Rei ran down the hall with a snarling lion behind him. Lee jumped on Rei’s back and bit into his back but Rei shook Lee off and growled.

They stood there, two feline titans snarling at each other and at that moment Tala and Kai had made a turn into the hallway and were staring at them while from the other end of the hallway Tyson had appeared with Max, Daichi, Kenny, and Hiro behind him.

“Rei!” Hiro blinked as he saw the black lion and the white tiger roaring viciously as Tyson ran up to the tiger and wrapped his arms around his neck.

Lions and tigers weren’t animals you normally saw sitting around in hallways and Hiro was definitely not used to his little brother running up and wrapping his arms around a real tiger’s neck.

“Rei I was so worried,” Tyson buried his face in the white fur as the tears fell.

Rei turned his head and Hiro’s heart jumped into his throat but he couldn’t move he was too scared but he received the shock of shocks when the tiger just licked Tyson’s face and purred loudly.

Kenny was gaping at the scene unfolding before him as well as the Russians stood there. As soon as Tala’s eyes landed on Daichi he burned with hatred. Out of all the people it was Daichi that humiliated him in the last world tournament he had taken part in and he wanted the death of the monkey boy.

Lee jumped towards Daichi but Rei wasn’t about to sit there and let all his friends get destroyed.

Rei pushed Tyson back towards the others and stood in front of the group. He couldn’t let Tyson or any of the others get hurt.

“Back off,” Lee snarled but Rei stood his ground. He had to protect them all, especially Tyson. He couldn’t let Lee touch Tyson he cared for his owner too much and couldn’t imagine life without him. It was a new feeling and one he didn’t understand but either way he would protect Tyson.

“Don’t touch them Lee,” Rei growled and gave a roar loud enough that it shook the walls.

A smirk flickered over Lee’s lips as he stood there. “You really are pitiful, wasting your life on these humans.”

“Lee! I said Kill them!” Tala yelled but the huge black lion to many peoples surprise just laid down with a yawn. His tail flicked back and forth on the ground as he ignored Tala’s orders.

“Lee!”

“Don’t feel like it.” Lee aimed his eyes on Rei. “I will come to claim you little toy. Be prepared.”

Rei snorted as he turned around with a flick of his tail. He nuzzled Tyson’s arm and Tyson pet him. They slowly walked out until they heard Kai.

“You aren’t going anywhere!” They all turned to see Kai as he threw a knife. At that moment several things happened, Rei roared and charged towards Kai as Hiro jumped in the way of the knife.

\"Hiro!\" Tyson yelled as he ran to his big brother. Tyson kneeled down beside him just as Hiro slowly got up.

\"I\'m okay,\" Hiro said weakly. Tyson looked down and saw that the knife was in Hiro\'s arm.

Everyone looked up at hearing a loud yell. Rei had jumped on Kai and was snarling at him. The only thing that was keeping Kai alive was his beyblade launcher that was forced in between Rei’s fangs. Rei had a look of pure anger in his eyes as he tried to claw Kai\'s face off but Lee had gotten up and rammed into Rei, knocking the tiger off his master’s friend.

\"Rei, come on!\" Tyson yelled. Rei snarled at Kai once more before he followed Tyson and the others out of the hell house. Tala was about to go after them but Kai stopped him.

\"Let him go. We\'ll get him later... but we have to take care of that tiger first.\" Kai stood up and walked away. Tala shot a glare at Lee who rolled his eyes.

\"How can you let a tiger get away from you?\" The red haired teen asked. Lee shook his head. \"Well, too bad, you’re not getting anything to eat for a long time.\" Tala snapped.

Lee looked shocked. He bared his teeth at Tala and walked to him but Tala pulled out a gun and aimed it at Lee\'s head. \"I saved you from hell and I can send you back,\" Lee stopped and backed down. \"Good boy. Now come on!\" Tala walked down the hall with Lee by his side.

( Hiro\'s Pov)

\"There you go!\" Kenny said as he wrapped my arm in a Bandage.

\"Thanks Kenny,\" I said rubbing his head. The boy nodded and stood up. We were all back at Grandpa\'s house. Today had really wiped us all out. \"Sorry.\" I said to Tyson in a whisper. I turned to my left and saw him hugging the white tiger. The tiger had his paws around him as if he were hugging him. \"Tyson where did you get a tiger?\" I asked. This was just too strange. \"Where’s Rei?\"

\"This is Rei.\" Tyson said and then he told me about a man called Count D and the rules.

\"But does this mean you broke a rule?\" Daichi asked after Tyson had finished.

\"Yeah, D said you can\'t let Rei out without his necklace in the day time.\" Max said as he hugged Daichi closely.

\"I had no choice!\" Tyson said as he hugged Rei. I shock my head and stood up.

\"Look I\'m going to get something to eat anyone coming?\" I asked. Daichi and Max raised their hands and we walked out leaving Rei and Tyson behind.

( Out of Hiro\'s Pov)

\"I\'m sorry,\" Tyson said.

Rei smiled. \"You said that already and it\'s okay,\" Rei said. \"You’re my master and it\'s my job to look after you!\" With that Rei licked Tyson face but Tyson pulled away. \"What is it?\" Rei asked as he looked curiously at Tyson. Tyson didn\'t say anything as he looked at Rei. Tyson\'s heart was beating so hard he couldn\'t think right when he kissed Rei on the lips.

Rei didn’t understand this but it felt right, righter than anything in the world as he leaned against Tyson. His heart felt ready to explode as his clawed hand ran carefully down Tyson’s back.

Tyson pulled back and licked his lips as he stared into Rei’s eyes. It was all making sense now. He loved Rei. Let Kai try anything. It didn’t matter, not as long as Rei was with him.
