Hilde stepped back as the enormous beast stepped out of the shadows. She reached for her sword and began to pull it out. She felt like she was moving in slow motion and she couldn’t get it out quick enough. The beast walked right toward Duo who was stopped dead in his tracks, not moving. The ground rumbled as she came toward them. Hilde finally drew her sword as the dragoness’ large hand came out and swiped at Duo, sending him sprawling to the ground. Hilde stepped forward and stood between her and Duo, who was shaking his head from the impact.
“Stay…stay back!” Hilde spoke, bravely. “I will not let you hurt him.”
Hilde shivered when the dragoness laughed. It was deep and raspy, almost like sandpaper on a peace of wood. She was a huge creature with black green scales that shimmered in the sunlight. At times she looked iridescent as the she moved with grace. . She was a huge beast, muscular and very lean. She leaned forward and bared her teeth to Hilde. She had rows of them and her breath had the slight smell of brimstone. Her bright red eyes gazed on the small woman with the big sword that stood in front of her. She reached out with a long talon and gently pushed at Hilde’s sword, pushing it back at the girl. Then she plucked at the girl, barely touching her.
“So, you think you can hurt me this this?” She asked.
Hilde said nothing, but pushed the sword straighter and held it stiffer.
The dragoness snorted. “You are very brave, little one. “ She looked past her and at the man, sprawled on the ground. “You found yourself a good one, Duo. Get up, I didn’t hurt you, you silly boy.”
“No, but you surprised the hell out of me. I didn’t expect that at all.” He replied sitting up and rubbing the back of his neck. “It’s ok, Hilde. You can put it away.”
The dragoness looked at Hilde. “So this is the one, eh? Yes, you chose right, Duo. She is your soul mate. “ The dragoness plucked again at Hilde, who now had her sword pointed toward the ground.
She mumbled some thing only Hilde caught. “You have a small life inside you. Does he know… oh! You didn’t know yet!”
Hilde frowned. It took a few minutes for the words to sink in. Small life?? Her mouth dropped open and she remembered Quatre’s words.
“Small life? I’m pregnant? How…”
“I’m sure it was in the usual human way.”
“No.” Hilde said as she shook her head in disbelief. “I took precautions.”
The dragoness nodded. “Yes, but you have been touched by wild magic…. And well, that can render some things useless at times.”
“I …but …”
The dragoness shook her head, “Not to worry. You can still finish this mission. You have several months before it becomes troublesome.”
After a moment the sword dropped to the ground, as did Hilde, with shock on her face, letting the words of the dragoness sink in.
“I don’t believe it… pregnant.”
Duo glanced at Hilde who was sitting on the ground. “You ok, babe?”
She nodded mutely.
“Perhaps I should change to my other form.” She sighed looking at the two humans sprawled on the ground. With that there was a small popping sound and instead a large green and purple dragoness stood a dark haired woman, cover with green scales that had the appearance of skin. “I’ll dress in a few moments, then I won’t look as bad.”
Hilde’s eyes widened. “You can shape shift?? I didn’t know dragons could do that.”
She snorted, “Only those who have been enchanted, like I have been.”
“Enchanted?”
“Yes, to break the enchantment I need to find my soul mate, one true love, all that stuff.” She sighed. “It hasn’t happened yet and I truly don’t expect it to.” She then smiled at them, walking toward Hilde and pulling her to her feet. She looked over at Duo who had gotten to his feet and was dusting himself off.
“You look exhausted, both of you. It has been a long journey?”
Hilde nodded.
Duo smiled. “Yeah, we could use a good meal and a hot bath and….” he said, looking directly at Hilde who felt a blush creep to her face.
She grinned at Duo. “ I’m sure you would, and I shall take care of it as soon as introductions are over.” She turned to Hilde, “I am Noin.”
“I’m Hilde.” Both women extending hands and they shook their greetings.
“I shall help you out with the meal, a bath and a place to sleep and give you what you seek, on one condition.”
Duo’s eyes narrowed. “What condition?”
“You allow me to travel with you for a short while.”
Duo frowned as Hilde looked at the tall woman/dragoness.
“I think that will be alright.” She said, glancing over at Duo who nodded in agreement.
“Excellent,” Noin replied. “Come. You can have a hot bath in my spring and then eat and rest. We will travel at day break tomorrow, if that‘s all right.”
When the both of them nodded, Noin turned and lead them into her cave. “You have an appointment to keep with a certain blonde haired pixie, do you not?”
The cave was enormous, with small hollowed out sections here and there where Noin kept her treasures. When Hilde was going to ask her about them, Noin waved her hand and said. “What does a dragon need with treasures? It’s a shiny thing. Dragons like shiny objects.” She laughed, “Like I could go into town in my dragon guise and shop.”
She pointed to one area. “You will find what you need there, and over there we shall take some of the coins. The rest can stay here, I will not be returning to this place.”
Duo and Hilde both looked at the Dragoness.
“Oh don’t look shocked. I plan to wander from now on. I have stayed stationary for long enough.” Then she shrugged. ”How else am I to find my soul mate? I can’t wait for him t o come to me, can I? Come on, I‘ll take you to the bath.”
She led them through the cave to a large opening and into another huge room. The room was smooth on the side and a large pool of steaming water sat in the middle of it. There were large rocks on the sides and a gentle slope to enter it. Hilde wiped her brow at the warmness of the room and began untying the bindings of her shirt. Duo began to do the same. Noin nodded and turned from them. “I’ll find you some food and a place for you to sleep.” Then she was gone leaving the two of them alone.
Hilde quickly dropped the rest of her clothes and made her way to the slope of the pool. Duo watched her as she tested the water and then stepped in. He swallowed and finished undressing himself. He quickly followed her down to the water. He couldn’t believe how much he always wanted her, no matter what they were doing. It was always in the back of his mind, even at the most inopportune times. He slid into the water next to her. She had her head tilted back letting the water lap up over her neck.
“Ahhhh.” She sighed. “This is wonderful.”
“Yeah.” He replied as he moved through the water to here. e. He pulled her to him and kissed her, his mouth lingering on her for a few moments before moving to her neck. She groaned in anticipation of his mouth and tongue on her skin. His fingers followed his mouth and then surpassed it finding her relaxed nipples, kneading them gently. The he pulled her out or the water into the cooler air so he could watch them harden and stand erect. His mouth attacked one of them, nipping and tugging on it. He loved to hear Hilde moan as he touched her and drove her slightly crazy. He pulled her to the side of the pool and literally attacked her body. Hilde leaned back and let Duo have his way with her. She could feel his hard erection rubbing against her thigh. Her anticipation of what he would do, made her arousal even more acute. She dragged her hands up to his head and ran her fingers through his long hair. She sighed out his name as he pushed himself closer to her, moving his mouth over her exposed skin. He pushed her farther out of the warm water and had her lying on the slope. One of her hands slipped down to his erect member and began to stroke it, making him shutter and drop his head to her chest. He groaned out her name and let her stroke him. When he felt her getting him too close he stopped her. His fingers trailed down to her center and pushed into her, moving softly finding her spot and working it to bring her close. He watched her face as she began to get close. He moved his fingers and slipped himself up to her entrance and slid inside her, gently and smoothly. She sighed as he filled her. He groaned at her warmth. Neither moved for a moment then Duo began to move slowly at first, then faster. Hilde joined in the movement making the effort a joint affair, bringing them closer to the point of no return. Hilde cried out, as she was drove over the edge, Duo followed a moment later, filling her with his warm juices. After the act, they lay panting on the side of the pool. Duo slipped off Hilde and into the water, pulling her with him. They relaxed together side by side letting the warm water wash over them. They lie in the water till their skin became wrinkled and waterlogged. When they disembarked from the water there were large pieces of soft material for them to wrap up in and their clothes were gone.
They returned to the main cave and found Noin waiting with a small feast for them. She smiled as she invited them to eat. They sat and ate while she explained the items she would be giving them for their quest. They were two small dragon eyes (not real dragon eyes) but two powerful stones that would draw up power when they needed. After the meal, Noin led them to small sleeping quarters, and told them to rest, as their clothes would be returned to them in the morning, clean and dry.
She bowed and returned to her larger room as she let the two of them settle in. Hilde lie down on the soft skins piled on the sleeping quarters floor. She felt Duo slip beside her and pull her against his warm body, and then she drifted off to sleep.
She awoke sometime later, frightened and disorientated, her heart beating rapidly in her chest. She reached out for Duo but his side was empty. She quickly rose and wrapped a blanket around her. She found her pack and dug through it, looking for a particular item. When she found it she stalked toward the opening. The dream she had was very vivid and she wasn’t sure if it was a dream or if she had actually heard them plotting against her, but she would find out.
As she stepped toward the opening she could her laughter, which brought her suspicions farther into the open. Her heart began to beat faster as she pulled the dragger up and readied it if she needed it. As she stepped out into the lighter room she stopped as she saw Noin and Duo sitting on the floor playing with marbles. The dagger fell to the floor and her knees gave out and she dropped down to a sitting position. They weren’t plotting; it was just a dream, what had made her think they had been plotting. She shook her head to clear the cobwebs and to shake the guilt away from doubting Duo. She sighed and hung her head. These were trying times and she was sure she had been given an enchanted dream. She dragged herself to her feet and picked up the dagger and retreated to the sleeping quarters. She put it away and climbed back in bed, letting her body relax and silent tears run down her face.
This quest was already getting out of control. She closed her eyes but did not sleep. She lay there not moving until she felt Duo climb back in bed beside her, a bag of marbles rattled as he set them down. She stiffened at first, fear of the dream, settling in, then relaxed as Duo’s strong arms gathered her up and pulled her next to him and his warm soft lips nuzzled her neck, making her feel the comfort and trust she knew in his arms. She sighed and relaxed again; knowing her fears were just what they were, an enchanted dream and she would not let it tempt her again.

Treize growled as his hold on the dreamer had failed the second time. He howled in frustration as he turned to the tall blonde King that stood next to him.
“Kill them,” He growled. “Send your men and kill them now.”
Zechs bowed and started to leave.
“You go and make sure the job is done properly.”
Zechs nodded and left the room. As he walked down the corridor he growled. He was a king, god damn it! People didn’t boss him around. He bossed them. Dark wizard or not, he would handle this in his own way.
