~ “I don’t give pity He-man, but I
will give you this.” Duo tilted his head to the side and gently placed a chaste
kiss on the other’s lips. ‘I’m so
confused; kissing them feels the same way. Absolutely perfect.’
find his eyes closed and a tear on his cheek. Duo kissed away the tear before
standing to leave. “By the way Heero, I bought something for you later.” With
that Duo left. Following shortly after, Heero went to change his wet clothes.
Heero made his way down to the
kitchen after changing, hoping that no one would be there. He almost had to rub
his eyes when he thought that Duo was sitting at the small kitchen table doing paperwork.
Then he quickly remembered that he did bring back papers for the Preventors.
Duo looked up as Heero took a few steps into the room.
“Oh right, wait here, I’ll go get
my stash.” ‘His stash???’ There had
to be something seriously wrong with Duo that didn’t show on any of the tests.
Heero made himself comfortable at the table while he thought things over. ‘
like Duo, and then went and made a move on him. On top of that, Duo’s acting
like nothing’s happening…then again, the calmer Duo acts, the more confused or
frustrated he is. If I’m jealous of Wufei trying to get Duo, then Chang can’t
feel that good either.’ Heero looked up from the table when he heard a
plastic bag rustling. Duo walked back into the kitchen and sat sideways on his
chair, facing Heero. He sat the bag on the table and went back to filling out
the stack of papers. After a few moments of silence Duo looked up at the 01
pilot who was staring at the bag.
“Go ahead; it’s your present,
though I might steal some of it.” Heero blinked before dumping the contents of
the bag on the table.
“Duo…That’s a lot of candy.”
“I know, whenever we go somewhere
new I try to get a piece of every candy I can find, even if I’ve had it
before.” Heero had already put most of the candy back in the bag and had just
swallowed a piece of toffee.
“Are you trying to give me a sugar
high?”
“Yep.” Duo said with a big grin. He
had been trying to get Heero to eat candy since they started working together,
but the other boy just turned it down saying something about unnecessary
ingredients. Duo was nearly done with the paperwork before he reached for the
nearest piece of candy, unwrapped it and popped it in his mouth before looking
at the wrapper.
“There was only one tootsie-roll
Duo.”
“I’ll get you another one later.”
Duo said as he started sucking on the candy.
“I’m not going to eat candy after
this.”
“Well then, that’s just too bad,
these are one of the best types of candy.” Duo replied as he started on the
last sheet of paper.
“Really?”
“Yep, they’re chewy and chocolaty;
they get stuck in your teeth though.”
“I should try one.”
“Yeah, but you said you weren’t
gonna eat candy after this so…too bad.” The 02 pilot had just completed the
forms and stacked them back up.
“So I guess I’ll have to try it
now.” With that decided Heero promptly laced his arms around Duo’s neck and
leaned forward. He pressed his lips softly to the other boys, who immediately
wrapped his arms around Heero’s waist and tried pulling Heero closer. Said boy
didn’t budge, but opened his mouth and prompted Duo to do the same. Just as Duo
started mapping out the other’s mouth with his tongue, the candy transferred
mouths and Heero pulled back. There was a moment of silence as both of the
ex-pilots caught their breath. Duo opened his eyes and was met with perfect
blue staring into his own eyes.
“You’re right Duo; these are one of
the best.” Heero smiled at him before quickly going outside.
Duo blinked rapidly a few times
before smiling. Maybe just maybe, both of them did want Duo. Even if they did
though, Duo would still have to choose. He sighed deeply, picked up the
paperwork, and left. The sooner he got the papers in, the sooner he could start
work.
