Dragonball: Unforgotten
Chapter Seventy-seven
Goku stopped in mid air, his posture guarded and ready to strike. Within a few seconds he had to move around one of the people who decided that his sudden lack of aggression meant that there was an opportunity. When he did he finally saw where the familiar voice was coming from - you. His eyes widened and he dropped down from the sky so swiftly that there was practically a gap left by his absence. Once he was on the ground he stared at you in disbelief. You moved over to him. When you got near you planted your feet wide and put your hands on your hips aggressively.
He said your name in disbelief. You gave him the moment to try and figure out what was going on. Especially when you noticed that his eyes went from your face to above your head, then back again in confusion. Once a reasonable couple of seconds passed, you shifted in your spot and crossed your arms.
“What were you doing?” You asked him again in a terse tone.
“Fighting. What...you can’t be here. This is the other world,” he said in a mixed of confused and nearly hostile emotions. Which only got darker as he too planted his feet rather aggressively and crossed his arms.
“Yeah, I know.”
“You can’t be here. You can’t be dead. Wait...Did Gohan break you?” His words were put in a tone that suggested he had much darker parts on that thought train that he wasn’t saying.
You reared back at how violent the waves that started to roll off of him felt. And before he seriously figured out a way to murder Gohan from the afterlife, you decided to clear up the misunderstanding.
“Goku, I’m still alive. Gohan didn’t hurt me. The supreme Kai brought me here because you were being a big baby.”
What else did you call someone who was throwing a tantrum? Besides you wanted your words to make an impact. Judging by the way that he looked at you, you had to say that you were successful in that at least. Though you could still see that hard look on his eyes that let you know he wasn’t happy at all.
“I was trying to come see you.”
“And do what?” You challenged Goku as you stared at him critically.
“Get you away from Gohan,” Goku said plainly.
“Goku...you’re dead.”
His jaw clenched. “I don’t care.”
“You should. You can’t even open a door in the real world right now. How did you figure you were going to take me away from him?”
“I don’t know. I don’t care. I would have figured out something. I don’t care if you can’t keep your promise on your own, from now on I’ll help.”
Your arms slowly loosened and dropped from their crossed position as you tried to understand what he was talking about. What promise had you made him that you hadn’t kept? Or hadn’t intended to keep? You couldn’t think of anything and the frustration started to set in.
“What promise?” You asked in a fairly aggressive tone because of the confused frustration that you felt.
“You promised not to touch anyone like that,” Goku said sharply as his arms also uncrossed and dropped to his sides. Though there was a lot more tension in his as he clenched his fists than in yours.
“...when did I promise that?”
“When we were in the hotel room. When you started putting rules on everything. I didn’t understand it then; not really. But you were right to make up all of those rules. Almost. Watching you touch Gohan...that wasn’t embarrassing. It made me angry, very angry,” The saiyan man said as he moved forward.
“Goku…” you called out cautiously, unsure of what was about to happen.
He stopped short of touching you. Compared to Gohan he wasn’t as tall but he was still taller than you. With more body mass of pure muscle on top of that. He was an imposing figure by anyone’s standards.
“Don’t. Ever. Touch. Him. Again.”
His words were sharp and punctuated. He looked ready to lash out and hit you. He wouldn’t, he had never even thought about that, but to you it looked like he might. You flinched back from the violent storm that was the man in front of you.
“G—“
“No.”
“Hey—“
He cut you off once more. “No.”
It happened a few more times like that before you finally got fed up. You reached out to shove him, forgetting the fact that he was technically a ghost. Only when you went through with the action, instead of passing through him like you thought, you made contact. The red cord on your arm warmed up, bringing your eyes towards the piece as you gasped in shock. Goku seemed surprised as well. And in one second you realized the scope of the mistake that you had just made.
Goku moved in closer and you backed up. There was an open field anywhere you looked; the most cover to be found was a bunch of rubble or unconscious bodies. There was definitely a predatory look in his eyes as you took another step back. The chase was on before you realized it.
Your heart hammered in your chest as you ran. Even if you could concentrate long enough to make use of the Instant Transmission technique, as you had never been in the Otherworld before you didn’t know any place well enough to go anywhere. Which meant that Goku definitely had the upper hand. He was faster and knew the area better than you did. Which showed in the fact that no matter what you did he was right behind you. There were some points where you could have sworn that he was so close that you felt his breath on your neck, felt his hand briefly tugging at anything he could reach. And after he started to use Instant Transmission to get in front of you, you were far too late to realize that he was herding you somewhere.
So instead of letting him win like that, you did the unsuspected. Instead of turning to run away like he expected the next time he got in front of you, you ran right into him. Goku fell back in surprise as you landed on top of him. You grinned at the shocked expression on his face even as you quickly got back up so that you could try continuing in the direction you’d been going.
Try being the key word here. Goku flipped up and tackled you to the ground all in one smooth movement. If you had seen it you might have even thought it was artist. As you landed on your stomach, squishing your boobs, you had no such appreciation.
Goku pinned you to the grass despite your struggles. The red rope on your arm felt warm and it somehow spread that warmth to your entire body the more Goku touched you. He lowered his chest to the back of your shoulders, tucking his head into your slightly damp hair. His arms stayed to keep you pinned until he used his considerable body weight (and training clothes weight) to manipulate you to your side. Then they wrapped around you like thick, overly friendly boa constrictors.
“I win.”
You huffed, though you couldn’t stop the smile. “I wasn’t playing.”
“Yes you were,” Goku insisted in a playfully admonishing tone.
“Nope,” you replied, smacking your ‘p’ with great emphasis.
“Liar,” The large man chided you as he loosened his hold. But only so much so that his fingers could start to brush along your ribs through your clothes.
You squirmed a little at that despite trying not to. “Goku, What are you doing?”
“Hmm liars are bad. Bad people get punished,” he replied in a tone that reminded you of when you first met him in its simplicity. “You should say you’re sorry.”
His hands started to tickle you. Slowly at first as you resisted. But as you started to squirm and giggle accidentally, he went faster. The man was relentless as you wiggled and bucked, trying to get away from him. You laughed and grasped, fighting to get in enough air. He found pretty much every spot on the main part of your body that was ticklish and tortured you with it.
You held out right until your stomach burned from all the laughter and it felt like you had to go pee. At that point you were on your back and Goku was above you.
“Okay! Okay! Sorry!”
“For…?” He gave you a brief reprieve. After he saw that you’d caught your breath enough but still hadn’t answered, he threatenly moved his fingers on your belly again.
“For lying about not playing,” you said quickly.
“And?” He prompted, large hands flat against your fluttering stomach.
Your shirt had long since rode up, exposing most of your torso. Goku made use of the exposed skin as he slowly moved his hands up to your upper ribs. Your eyes widened when you felt his thumbs brush your covered breasts. He repeated the action as he stared down at you intently. You moved to bring his hands down to a slightly saver area right underneath your bra. He traced right underneath the underwire, drawing goosebumps to your skin regardlessly.
“And?” He prompted again, rocking you from the hips up as he rocked forward.
“And what?” You asked in honest confusion.
“And for breaking your promise,” Goku said with a frown.
You gripped his wrists as you swallowed. You looked up at him with a mixture of compassion and pain.
“Goku...I didn’t break my promise.”
“Yes you did. You touched Gohan and you let him touch you.”
“...Goku, those rules...they were for when we were still together. Like romantically - as a couple.”
Goku’s whole body stilled. Even his tail which had been rubbing up and down your knee stopped.
“We are.”
“No...no we aren’t.”
Goku leaned down and you knew that he was going to kiss you. As much as you wanted him to, as much as you wanted to forget what had happened, you couldn’t let him to that. You turned your head to the side just before he got too close. Goku’s lips touched where your lower cheek met your jaw. You felt the growl rumble through his body almost as acutely as you heard it.
“No,” he said simply, lips brushing along your skin.
“No what?” You asked in a quiet, conflicted voice.
“Stop turning away from me. I don’t like it. We’re still together. We’re still married,” Goku insisted.
“We aren’t,” you told him quietly, unable to look him in the eyes. “Marriage is like...till death. Besides even before you died you married someone else the legal way. As nice as it was, we weren’t. Our marriage was never a valid, legal one. And unlike with yours and Chichi’s it was never consummated.”
He called out your name in a dark way that made you look back up at him in surprise. Goku only moved his face far enough back that you could see into his dark eyes, noses brushing one another.
“Prove it.”
“Huh?” You breathed out in confusion.
“Prove that we didn’t consummate the marriage to anyone else. You won’t be able to do it,” as he moved to hold some of his weight on one hand, the other one brushed down from your ribs to rest over your lower stomach. “That’s our daughter in there. And as far as anyone would know, she was put in there the natural way because I was the one to take your virginity. I married you. And I made our daughter with you. Me; not Gohan. Me. You can’t prove when that happened but I can prove that it all happened. Almost everyone on Earth will believe me if I said I married you first before we had sex because you can’t prove that it didn’t happen that way.”
Your mouth fell open. He had you there. As far as a legal system would understand, Goku could easily argue the order of events however he wanted. There were just two issues with arguing the legal way. Legally not only would he have still been married to Chichi...but you were only sixteen as far as your new identity went. Which would get him in an awful lot of trouble.
You decided to go the way that was probably going to be the least confusing.
“Goku...legally we had no marriage to consumate. The moment you’re alive again you’re still going to be the same Goku that married Chichi. According to the law where we live, you couldn’t have married me while you were still married to Chichi.”
“Then we move,” Goku seethed quietly, his eyebrows drawing together. “We’ll go some place that we can and stay there.”
“...I like where I’m living. Besides it’s more complicated. As far as the human legal system goes, I’m my own daughter. Unlike you I didn’t age and I didn’t have any paperwork to show where I was for those seventeen years. So I pretended to be my own daughter so I could go back to school and start again.”
“What? Why?”
“You were gone, Goku. I was on my own. I needed to think about the future and I needed somewhere to live.”
“You could have stayed at my old house on the mountain. Even if I couldn’t remember you, I wouldn’t have minded,” he said with his brows still furrowed in confusion.
“...yeah, no. You might not have minded but Chichi and Gohan definitely would have. Living on the mountain wasn’t an option for me anymore after you died because of that.”
Goku’s hand gently rubbed circles on your sensitive stomach as he spoke. “I’m sorry. You had to lie because I wasn’t there. You won’t have to lie or worry anymore when I come back. We’ll get married again and you can—”
“No,” you said simply. “Goku, we can't get married again. You’re still married to Chichi and she already threatened to tell the police that I kidnapped Goten. When I get back we—oh shit, that’s going to be so much worse now.”
You just realized exactly how you left things. After she threatened to report you for kidnapping and hit you, she threatened you with Gohan. Whom you’d made out with right in front of her. And then proceeded to have sex with when he took you to your studio. Chichi was going to be furious. You didn’t imagine she’d take well to you being the one to “corrupt” her “innocent” boy. Even if the truth was that he’d been the one advocating strongly for it, she was going to blaim you.
And to think...you hadn’t even explained the whole situation with Goku yet. Fuck.
“Let’s go to Namek right now,” Goku said. “When you wish me back, I’ll tell everyone that I brought Goten to you. That way no matter what Chichi says you can’t get in trouble with the police.”
You smile was wavering as you brought a hand up to brush through the side of his hair. As you curved it around his face, Goku leaned into your touch.
“That will help that at least. At least with the law. But we still can’t get married again.”
Goku’s intense eyes had fluttered closed as he enjoyed the feeling of your skin against his face. But once you said that you couldn’t marry him, he opened his eyes in displeasure.
“Why?”
“Legally only 16. Even if Chichi was gone or we were in an area that lets you have a couple wives...by law I can’t get married for two more years.”
“Hmmm...I don’t think I like these laws anymore. They’re stupid,” Goku said quietly. “Do we even have to listen to them? I mean...we’re both saiyans. I don’t think they even apply to us…”
Huh. He kind of had a point. But at the same time you really just felt like he was playing the “alien race” card to get out of things he didn’t like. Considering the fact that he seemed okay with everything else about human laws it really felt like that. Then again, you had also never seen him really hide the fact that he was inhuman either. Even when you and he hadn’t known about each other's lack of human stays, Goku had never shied away from showing people just how inhumanly strong and fast he was.
“Goku…”
“Yeah?”
“We live on Earth. We grew up on Earth. Unlike Vegeta we’re both Earthlings. Even if we’re saiyans that doesn’t change that. And since we are, we need to live by the laws on Earth as best we can.”
“No. I won’t listen to laws that tell me that you can’t be my wife. They’re stupid.”
You used the hand that was on his cheek to flick him on the nose. Goku drew back with his nose bunches up. But the moment he recovered he retaliated by licking you...on the lips. The movement was unexpected so you didn’t have time to dodge. Which meant that by that time he was close enough to follow up with a kiss. It wasn’t until he started moving and deepening the kiss that you broke it off.
You took in a deep breath and shivered when you felt his teeth and tongue along your neck. “Hey, it’s not...it’s not time for that. We still need to talk.”
“But I’m bored of talking,” he whined. “I want to play.”
You knew exactly what kind of “play” he meant too. And unlike Goten it wasn’t something that should be done where everyone could see.
“You want to play instead of talking?” You asked in a challenging voice.
Or it would have been challenging if it wasn’t for the fact that Goku’s tail had slipped right between his legs and yours after he worked his way between them. It thumped up against your clothes covered privates, harder and harder with every thump you could practically feel the blood rushing down below as he used his extra appendage.
“Uhuh.”
“Guess that means we can’t talk about Gohan’s proposal, that Trunks wished he was older so he could marry me instead, or that Vegeta thinks I’m building a fuck circle of saiyan men. Oh, and that Broly claimed he was going to father my next child.”
Goku’s energy exploded all around you by the end of that.
