Summary: Review to Chapter 1.
Writing Style: Review to chapter 1.
This Chapter is a little bit short, but I didn\'t really knwo what to add since it was just a sum up of their lives. I hope you enjoyed reading and read more of my Tala/Kai fics that I will be adding soon.
Chapter 8. It’s Been Two Years...
Journal:
It’s been two years. Two years since the reunion. Two years since me and Tala have bee together and I couldn’t be happier. Yes I know. I wrote happy people, deal with it. When I’m around Tala, I don’t have to be that cold captain I usually.
We got a call from Mr. Dickinson yesterday. There is going to be another reunion in two weeks and asked if we were going to be their. I shook my head no at Tala, but since he had the phone, he was dumb enough to say yes.
I guess I had no reason to be afraid really. I don’t know why and now don’t care, why I didn’t give him the ring four years ago, but what’s done is done and it’s in the past. During our final stay me and Tala went to the Eiffel. It would have been romantic if people had stopped staring at us. I had to send so many glares at ogling couples I barely had time for Tala...
“What are you doing?” Tala’s sultry voice echoed into his ear.
“Hey there,” Kai said, wrapping his arm around Tala’s waist.
Tala smirked, giving Kai a glint of his eyes. “Well what is this.”
Tala snatched up Kai’s journal, making the phoenix jump up behind him, reaching for his notes. Tala turned his back to Kai’s chest, holding the book away from his lover. He laughed and began to read, getting a dangerous growl from the phoenix.
“Aww, love you had plenty of time with me,” Tala said, handing back the journal. “Especially afterward.”
“Whatever,” Kai mumbled, dropping the journal onto his desk.
Tala pulled Kai out of their study and down the hall into the kitchen, dropping the phoenix into a chair and pulling the newspaper to his face, letting him look att he picture on the front. Kai scanned it and smiled, staring up into the icy eyes of his lover, the same glint in his eyes.
“So Ray finally popped the question,” Kai said, leaning back in his seat.
“Took him long enough,” Tala said, rolling his eyes.
“It’s a good picture,” Kai said, grabbing the paper. “But not as good as ours.”
Tala sat himself on Kai’s lap, leaning back into his arms while looking over the picture. Ray was down on one knee, holding Lee’s hand and placing a ring on the lions finger. Lee looked like he was about to burst into tears, his fangs showing through his smile.
Tala wrapped one of his arms around Kai’s shoulder, looking at the ring on his finger. Yea, two years ago they were only promise rings, but after pretending to actually have been engaged, Kai told him he actually wanted them to be his fiancé. Tala had accepted that thought immediately, loving the idea of having Kai as his husband... er... wife... whatever.
Ray had spoken to Kai over the phone about how he had asked Tala to marry him and Kai told him he just felt it to be right. He wasn’t much into talking about how he decided he should marry Tala, it was just something they both wanted. Ray had asked how he should pop the question to Lee and Kai almost burst out laughing. Ray, talking to the cold and lone wolf, Kai, about relationship stuff... that was a laugh.
Kai noticed Tala looking at his ring, twisting it around his finger and rubbing the red ruby on the top of it softly with his finger. Kai ran his hand up and down Tala’s back ,dropping the paper onto the table.
“What’s wrong?” Kai asked, then looked at the ring. “Don’t like it anymore.”
That earned him a slap on the back of the head and a cold glare. Kai looked at the wolf puzzled, wondering what he had said wrong. Tala sighed and stood up, pulling Kai with him. They stood in the kitchen, staring at one another.
“I love the ring Kai,” Tala said. “I was just wondering when we were going to pick a night to actually become a couple.”
“Well, we’ve been going for two years,” Kai said, brushing one of Tala’s long bangs from his face. “You want to set a date... so set one.”
“What?”
“Ste a date, for us to become a legal couple.”
“But...”
“Don’t want to anymore?”
“Just shut up for a second,” Tala scolded.
Kai walked into the livingroom and sat down on the couch, pulling Tala over the arm and into his lap. Tala sighed and looked up, thinking to himself. He said he wanted to set a date, and Kai gave him the go-ahead, so what was holding him back?
“How about...” Tala sighed. ‘This is too hard.’
“How about in a month,” Kai answered.
Tala sat up. Kai looked at him, a calm natural expression on his face. The wolf searched Kai’s eyes, making sure he wasn’t playing with him. When he saw no hint of amusement, Tala felt himself perk up and sat back, smiling.
“Are you sure?”
“Oh, come on,” Kai scorned. “You’re the one who wanted to set the date.”
“I know, but why in a month?” Tala asked.
“It’ gives us time to set up in our new place,” Kai sighed, rolling his eyes.
“Right,” Tala said, nodding his head slowly.
“What time are you picking them up?” Kai asked as Tala curled up next to him.
“I don’t need to, Brian said he’d pick Spencer up,” Tala yawned.
The door to their apartment clicked open, and Brian and Spencer’s heavy boots were heard. Tala looked through the entrance of the livingroom toward the door, noticing the two holding hand sand walking toward the door.
“Look at the happy couple,” Kai said through his teeth.
“Shut up,” Brian growled.
“Excuse me if you two were all over each other after the reunion,” Kai snapped.
“Take it easy you two,” Spencer said in his rough tone.
“Well if he hadn’t taken that fucking picture,” Brain hissed.
“The picture is not fault for you two getting together,” Kai snapped.
“Shut up for fuck sakes,” Tala barked.
The two immediately looked away from one another with one last glare. Spencer pulled Brian over to a seat and sat him down on his lap, looking at the others. Brian sighed and leaned back against Spencer’s large body, glaring out the window into the snowy Russian afternoon. Kai pulled Tala close again and leaned his head on the flaming red hair.
“So what time are we leaving?” Spencer asked, relieving the tension in the room.
“Tonight at six,” Tala answered.
“Why are we going so early this time?” Brian asked, obviously over his fight with Kai.
“For some us time,” Kai said, turning tot he other two. “We want to be their so we don’t have to get hassled by Dickinson and the other teams.”
“True,” Spencer mumbled.
“Did you two set a date?” Brian asked, getting to the obvious question at hand.
Kai and Tala looked at one another. Tala smirked and Kai glared at Brian, giving him his deadliest look he could. Brian turned from Kai’s piercing gaze and looked at Tala for the answer, knowing the redhead couldn’t resist.
“Yea, we did,” Tala answered.
Kai turned to him this time and glared, eyes burning angrily.
“Oh come on, Kai, they were going to find out sooner or later,” Tala said, shaking of Kai’s stare.
Kai snorted and leaned back int the couch, wrapping one hand around Tala’s waist. It was true, the pair was going to find out sooner or later that they were going to become an actual enforced couple. Kai looked out the window and smiled, everything was just as it was from two years ago. He and Tala were together. Ray and Lee were still together. Tyson and Daichi still fought. Max was still the bubbly blonde he was.
Everything was perfect just as it should be. Kai sighed and looked up at Tala, listening as he and the others began to swap stories. He smiled at the redhead, who looked down at him and smiled back, pressing a kiss to his lips before continuing on with one of his stories.
*~*~*
“So did you have fun?” Kai asked.
“What do you mean?” Tala questioned.
“With the stories,” Kai sighed.
Tala smirked at Kai and walked over to him, pressing his body close and rubbing his leg against Kai’s groin, getting a satisfied groan from the phoenix. He crushed their lips together and pushed Kai down onto the bed, straddling his hips with his own. He smirked down at Kai and began to unbutton his shirt, kissing down his well-toned body.
“Yea, I had fun,” Tala whispered huskily. “But this is going to be more fun...”
“Ta-Tala... we need to leave in a ha-half an hour...” Kai gasped out.
“We can make it quick,” Tala growled, licking one of Kai’s nipples.
Kai moaned and pushed Tala roughly onto the bed, smirking down at the redhead. Taal returned the gaze, rubbing his hands over Kai’s chest and back.
“You were on top last time,” Kai growled. “My turn.”
‘It been two years. Two years to the day we’ve been together. Maybe I should give the others a call and tell them me and Tala have set a date... Nah.’ Kai pushed into Tala, shuddering as he felt the man clamp down on him. He glared down at Tala and pulled out, pushing back in extremely hard, smirking when he saw Tala’s angry glare.
‘That’s what you get,’ Kai thought.
He dipped down and kissed his lover. They were together, and it’s been two years, and neither could be any happier.

Thank you all. I know it wasn’t that great, and I was going to make it longer, but since the chapters were long (long for me, that is), I decided to make it shorter. DON’T worry I will be making MANY... MANY, more Kai/Tala fics, with Tala as uke ans Kai as uke, so don’t go biting my head of or flamming me. Thanks for the five reviews people... Maybe I should have made it ten... anyway, doesn’t matter now. Here are some of the people who reviewed and my answer to their questions, or just comments.
GabZ: Thanks for the cute reviews. I’m glad you love Kai/Tala pairings as much as I do.
Kiotana: The reason Kai was so nervous was because he knew he and Tala were close friends when they were younger and he didn’t want to lose that by telling him he was in love with him.
Mai Valkov: LOL, I just had to add the egg part, it was just to precious to leave out.
Faith: I added Kai uke in one chapter just for you.
Dr. Von Doom: Thank you so much for your reviews and I hope you read more of my fics. To Dartz, Grim, and Reinok that you all for reading.
