Chapter 8
Treize was angry. He could feel his anger rising as he stood in the alcove, watching the men ride away. How dare that little bitch break his dream power. There was no way he could attempt to reach her again. She had found him and blocked him. The backlash had burned into his mind making him week and incoherent for a few seconds. Damn the wild magic! He knew she was with child , but that too couldn’t be touched now. The magic she had in her body wouldn’t allow it. He clenched his fists. He couldn’t even enter her partners mind. That was totally blocked. It was like there was a wall in the way. A mental wall, that was not from the wild magic. That magic just enforced all the other magic. The boy had been gifted with something since he was a child but no one knew what it was. Not him and not his apprentice WuFei. It was some kind of dark magic.
He turned and smiled. Maybe it was time to send another warning to the Queen just to keep WuFei on his toes and to disorient the kingdom. He laughed as he clasped his hands together . Yes, that would be what he would do to release this anger in his soul.
He hurried to the roof top and reached for the beast that Dorothy had sent him. He stroked it’s head and whispered an incantation in it’s ear, then he held it out and allowed it to spread it’s wings and fly from him. He squinted his eyes and looked across the horizon. He raised his hands into the air and began an incantation that would create chaos across the land. Lighting filled the air as he prepared to began the spell.

Zechs hurried the men along. He sighed. The death bounty on these two had been lifted by his sister and well he didn’t feel it necessary to kill them, but at this time he had no choice to obey his master. He snorted, master indeed. After all of this was over he would show him who was master and who was not. He lead the men to a small alcove of trees and gathered them around him. He had to have a plan to prevent the death of Duo Maxwell and Hilde Schibecker. They truly were the only two who could some Treize and his mad plots. He thought of his sister the queen and wondered what had made her change her mind, if she truly was in her right mind. There had been some evil present last time he came close to the kingdom of his Sister. Treize had promised him great land and plenty of riches but he was sure the only rewards he would receive was death. Treize the dark magician could not be trusted. His friend could be to a point, until the madness over took him. His lady , the sorceress Une, was perhaps even more dangerous than Treize. She would do Treize’s bidding with out a second thought and with no guilt what so ever. He glanced up at the sky and watched it turn black. The swirling clouds chilled him to the bone as they stood huddled together.
“Sir,” one of the men called out, “Should we find shelter?”
Zechs looked up at the sky and watched the lighting streak across it. He shook his head. No shelter would protect them from this storm.
“No, we best be on our way. The master’s anger is great and we would do well not to caught in his wrath.”
The solder glanced at the sky ,then nodded as he turned back to his horse.
Zechs watched as the men struggled through the gales and strange shapes that flew through the enchanted air. His mind worked on a plan to rid him of Treize’s loyal men and find himself free of the chains that held him. He wanted to help his sister and return to his own kingdom. He sighed. The hold Treize had on him was unfathomable. He couldn’t remember why he was here. He had a vague memory of a beautiful woman with dark flowing hair. She had meant something to him but yet she wouldn’t come always to his memory. He closed his eyes and let the magic ripple through him. He was a conductor of it but it would not work for him. He could channel it to almost any where, but had no control to use it. He had been disappointed when he found he would not weld magic, just focus and send it. Sometimes if he was perceptive enough it would heal him and send him odd thoughts… thoughts of a woman transformed into a dragon and a dragon transformed into an woman. As he rode and the magic ebbed and flowed, his eyes snapped open and he whispered an name. “Noin.”
Her face came to him in an instant and he blinked. She was the dragon he had seen. She was the one enchanted. The hold he had on him.. Noin. He had enchanted the only woman he had ever loved. He wondered how this thought had come to him. There must be other magic’s out on a night like this. But who would be a sorcerer so powerful he or she could put a sunder Treize’s spell? He wasn’t sure but who ever it was they were strong. The magic storm began to fade way and Zechs could see a bit of sunlight peeking through the dark clouds. He frowned… Sunlight? Suddenly there was a whoosh of air throwing Zechs and his men to the ground. A large crack of thunder followed causing the horses to scream and run in panic. The sunlight disappeared and even darker and more dangerous clouds rolled through the sky.
Zechs and his men huddles under some low branches and waited for it all to end. One way or another.

Relena growled and called WuFei to her chambers. She paced the room as the wind tore at the shutters. “Damn him,” She muttered as she crossed the floor for the 5th time. He stole her son and now he was trying to destroy her kingdom. Heero had wanted to go, then those odd, disturbing little messages started to come down to her through the grapevine, threatening her life. And with that he stayed by her side, even tho it tore him to leave his son in the hands of a mad man. Relena nodded and decided when Duo and Hilde arrived she would release Heero from the promise and he would be able to travel with them to Treize’s castle and free their son. But first she needed to talk to WuFei. She slammed her fist down o n the small table in her room. **Damn! Where was that sorcerer??**
A soft voice whispered beside her. ”Calm yourself, my lady. I am here.”
Relena jumped and turned to the man standing beside her. She closed her eyes and took a death breath to calm her beating heart.
“Damn it , WuFei. I hate it when you do that!” She glared at him. ”how did you get past my guards?”
He waved his hand and disappeared, the reappeared after a moment.
Relena rolled her eyes and smiled slightly, “Enough with your tricks!” She waved to the shuttered window. “What do we do about him?”
WuFei shrugged. “Honestly , I can do nothing. I need Duo and Hilde here to fix this problem and they have several days yet to be here. They still have to gather all the items they will need to defeat The Master.”
“Stop calling him the Master!!!”
He shrugged again. “I am sorry your majesty, but he is my master after all.”
She sighed.” I know, once he was the proud sorcerer under my father … I can’t understand what went wrong!”
“I don’t understand either, My lady.” WuFei looked around the room and frowned. “Where is your captain of the guard?”
She shrugged. “Where he always is when not with me. I don’t honestly know.”
She sighed and went to the small table in the center of the chambers.
“Tea, WuFei?” She asked.
He nodded and sat down beside her. He waited till she poured and reached for the cup.
“Are you willing to forgive Duo and Hilde for past mistakes?”
She shook her head. ”It is I who must make amends. I was wrong and I made a horrible mess of that friend ship. I miss Hilde. I hope I can make it right. I know Heero misses Duo’s antics but he would never admit that.”
WuFei said nothing as he listened to Relena speak. Suddenly he looked past her and then pulled her to the floor with him. Something large cashed through the shuttered window and he was on his feet in an instant. His hands f up up and he started to mutter an incantation. As the beast lumbered forward, WuFei frowned as he felt an odd power circling in the air around him. It settled on his shoulders allowing him to focus his powers into a tight beam and blow the beast out the window into the magic storm that had brought it there.
It was gone as quickly as it came. WuFei frowned then sat down on the floor all his strength drained from him. Relena picked herself from the floor and hurried to him
“Are you alright, WuFei?”
He said nothing to her , just shook his head and muttered something about wild magic and alive.
Relena stood and hurried to her door. She flung it open and yelled for some one to get Sally and to hurry.
Middi Une nodded and disappeared down the corridor. Heero had been on his way up to the room hen he had heard the commotion, Hurried to Relena’s si
“R
“Relena.”
“I’m fine, Heero.” She replied reassuringly. “I’m fine.”
“What was it?” He asked.
“An assassin. “ she stated, “Well, I think that was what it was. But WuFei seems to be in shock.”
By the time Sally had arrived .. They had WuFei on the bed, stretched out and resting. As soon as she came to his side, he grasped her arm and cried out, ”It’s alive ,Sally! Wild magic is an entity.”
“What? Are you sure your ok, WuFei?”
He nodded yes to her question. She looked into his dark eyes and sighed. He was sane and telling the truth.
“OH this is just grand.”

Dorothy stood by the window and allowed the storm to buffet her. She loved the power that Treize had and she relished it when he unloosed it. It slipped into her body and filled her with a power that she could use. Her eyes widened as a dark form fell past her. On instinct she reached out and plucked the falling form from the sky and brought ito to her. She cried out in agony as she clutched the already shrinking form to her chest.
“Damn you WuFei! You will pay for this.”
~~~~~~~
Mariemaia giggled as she lead the small boy with unruly brown hair and Prussian blue eyes deeper into the cave. He followed without any complaint, not even asking why she was taking him there.
She turned to him and smiled. “There is a huge monster in this cave, but don’t worry. It won’t hurt you. It’s sort of my pet. It will protect you.” She paused for a minute.
“Do you have a name? You know mine but I’ve never heard yours”
He looked up at her and said ,softly. “Heero.”
She nodded and replied. ”Yes, you look like you father.”
She pulled him along. When they got to the center of the cave she stopped and turned to him once again. “My father is insane. Something made him snap. I promise to return you to your parents either by my hand or someone else’s. But until then you need to stay here, Heero. I will come back everyday when I can, ok?”
He nodded, letting no fear show o his face.
She turned form him and clapped her hands. A rumbling occurred as the water in the pond before them rippled and swayed. A large beast emerged from it and shook the droplets from it’s self. It was large and green, with a dragon type look to it. It’s green eyes glowed in the semi darkness as it looked at the two humans standing in front of it.
“Oh, lose the attitude, will ya? “
The beast sighed and slumped forward to look closer.
“Silvia, I need you to watch over this boy for me. No one is to know he is here, ok?” She looked at the beast and smiled, “And if you harm him, I’ll kill you.”
Silvia looked at Mariemaia and didn’t even blink, but she nodded slightly.
“Good, I shall leave him in your capable hands.”
“Where are you going?” Heero asked, softly.
She turned to him and hugged the small boy. “I’m going to find some people to help you escape and help you get back to your mom.”
He nodded, but didn’t really want his new friend to go.
“I’ll be back, don’t you worry,” She turned back to Silvia, “I promise to release you from my father’s curse after this is all over. “
Silvia made no comment as the young girl disappeared from the cave. She looked down at the boy standing in front of her. She lowered her head and motioned for him to sit on it. Heero carefully climbed on and found a smooth place to sit between her eyes.
She grunted as she rose, carrying the boy and herself into the darker regions of the cave.
