The original Character is mine but I don\'t own the name if it belongs to someone. I think it’s the Michael Morbius comics.

Notes: There is some OOC-ness. This just came to me one morning and I had to write it down (darn those muses). There is lime, but there is not a big lemon so sorry to those fans. (I lovem tom too.) Please excuse the bad grammar, since I do not have a beta to help me out. I have gone over thing fic many times and have fixed it several times, but I might not have found all of the mess-ups. This has Duo’s POV first and then Heero’s and then Duo’ at the end. This is set sometime before Endless Waltz and after Heero’s self-destruction.

Duo’s POV

I had had enough. Heero Yuy The Perfect Soldier my ass. More like
The Perfect Bastard if you ask me. I mean, there I was, practically throwing myself at him and he didn’t even notice. I doubt he even noticed me leaving.

I should probably tell you what happened before I run away with myself. You see, I have liked Heero since I first saw him; he is like a wet dream come true. Heero is like a God with his bronze skin and chiseled muscles. I mean, how could any one not like him. Then I did a stupid thing; I fell in love with him. Seeing him everyday and hoping he would just notice me a little; hoping he would stop his typing just once. I was getting so desperate that I was even hoping he would at least stop and hit me for talking too much. This is how much I wanted him to notice me. Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore; I decided that tonight, after I took a shower, I would came out naked. I tried everything; I even dried myself off slow and sexily hoping I would get some kind of response from him. But no, he just kept typing on that blasted computer.

So, I tried putting on some of my sexiest clothing. I put on this black shirt and pants that clung to my body and showed off every muscle. However my presence wasn’t acknowledged. I moved on to brushing my hair. Heero had never seen it down because I have always avoided taking it down in front of him. I brushed and braided it slowly, but I got no reaction. I got so mad that I threw on my leather jacket and went to the nearest bar.

“Now here I am, talking to you and getting drunk in this bar. A bar that I don’t even know the name of; while my partner, who doesn’t even know I am alive, is at home.” I couldn’t believe I was spilling my guts out to this bartender. I didn’t even know his name. He was just some tall, brown haired guy with a black trench coat. There was something about him. I couldn’t really put my finger on it, but I did know that he made me feel like he knew what I was saying. So, I just told him my pathetically sad story like you see people do in the movies.

“You know, I think you ought to just throw the guy on a bed and bang the fuck out of each other.” Said the bartender with a bid smirk on his face. I know my chin must have dropped to the counter because he got serious and said, “No, I’m just kidding with you man, but I am surprised that you haven’t had sex in a while. If I had been going with out for as long as you have, I would be having laid withdrawal right now.”

I quickly regained my composer after having two shocks that night. One being the bit about me just jumping Heero and ttherther being that this guy knew I have not had se with anyone since I met Heero. “Well, this guy is different. Do you know what I mean?” I tried to explain to him.

“Yeah, I do…you love him and you can’t even look at someone else. You only want him…Am I right?” asked the bartender leaning on the counter so that what he was saying could only be heard by me.

“Yeah” I said looking at the drink in front of me for a few seconds. “Hey, how did you know that?” I asked him in shock as I realized everything he had just said was exactly what I was feeling. I couldn’t figure out how this guy knew all this.

“Oh, I have my ways.” Said the bartender with an all-knowing smirk and a smug tone. “Hey man, cheer up. All you have to do is come up with some kind of plan to make him notice you. What I would do is grab him and tie him up. Then I would go about seducing him, but I’m sure you will figure out what to do yourself.” He started cleaning the counter leaving me alone with my thoughts.

I thought about what he had said. He was right, I had to figure out a way to get Heero to face me. So I told him “Thanks”, left money on the counter, and started to leave. I turned around and asked him what his name was before I had taken a step.

“Michael Morbius, The Living Vampire. Nice to meat you” He said shacking my hand. “You can call me Mikey. Come back and see me. I want to know what happens, and if he doesn’t get the picture, I sure think you’re cute.” Mikey said giving me a wink.

“Thanks Mikey, I’m flattered but I don’t think I could be with anyone but Heero.” And with that I left.

Heero’s POV
~ I know he was here or at least had been here. I could still smell his sent. It was the send of soap and something that was purely Duo. I looked around for any sign of him. I was sure that his long hair would give him away, but I know Duo can hide really well if he wants to. Duo had taken off because of me and I was determined to find him even if I had to search for him all night.

As I looked through the crowd of people I noticed that one of the bartenders was staring at me. I was going to glare at him to get hi to stop, but he came up to me and said something to me that caught my attention.

“I know what you’re here for…you’re looking for Duo,” said the bartender knowingly.

I could tell it wasn’t a question. So I decided to find out all that this guy knew. If he knew where Duo was then I could find him a lot faster with his help. “Where is he?” I asked him.

“He just left a few minutes ago, but before I tell you where he went I want you to answer some questions for me.”

I just nodded my head. I waited for him to ask me more questions, but instead he said something to another bartender and motioned for me follow him. He led me through the room full of people and tables to a room in the back of the bar that was for employees. When we were inside the semi-empty room, he shut the door.

“I know who you are. You are Heero Yuy the Gundam pilot, but before I tell you where Duo went I want to know a few things. First, why do you want to find him?” The bartender said this with a smirk on his face. I didn’t know what to make of this guy. He was either very well informed or he was Oz, the enemy. But for some reason I didn’t think he was an enemy. I couldn’t explain it all I knew was that is what my feelings were telling me at the time. Somewhere in the back of my mind I had a distant memory of someone telling me to trust my emotions, so I did.

“He’s my partner.” I said in my usual monotone voice. Trying to act like my old soldier self.

He gives me a look telling me he knew I was lying and said, “Not good enough Heero. You are going to have to do better than that.”

There was silence between us for a long time. Finally the bartender said, “Look, I know you don’t trust me completely. But the only way I am going to tell you anything you want is to answer me completely truthfully.” He paused for a second making sure that I had heard what he said and went on, “I know you want to kill me for not coming right out and telling you where Duo is and for knowing as mush information about you guys as I do, but you are just going to have to deal with it. You can’t kill me. I want to hear you say what’s in your heart and not what you think you should say to me.”

I was surprised, but I didn’t show it. I couldn’t figure out how this guy knew what he knew. All I could do was answer his question, but I wanted some answers first, “What do you mean I can’t kill you?”

“Well, I am a vampire.” The bartender said with a laugh. “But I also know you want the information too badly, so cut the shit and tell me why you really want to find Duo.”

I wanted to see if this guy was telling the truth, so I told him half the truth. “I need to talk to him.”

“I see…I know why you need to talk to him and I am going to give you some advice Heero. Tell him…because he loves you too and you have to stop hiding from yourself and your fears.”

I just stood there for a few seconds letting what this guy had just told me sink in. I looked at him and all he did was stair at me back, letting me read his eyes. I knew he was telling the truth. I nodded my head and asked, “Where did he go?”

“He went back to your place to sort things out.” With that the bartender left the room, but I was no longer paying attention to him anymore. I was concentrating on Duo and what I would do with my newfound information. ~

Duo’s POV
~ I had been walking for hours and decided to make Heero talk to me no matter what the consequences would be. I also wanto tto tell him how I felt about him. So I went back to the house but Heero wasn’t there. Where could he have gone? It wasn’t like Heero just to leave in the middle of the night when a potential mission could arrive at any moment. But this was Heero, I reminded myself, he probably did get a mission and had left for it.
I took a shower thinking that Heero wouldne bae back until the next day or even longer. But when I came out of the shower, there was Heero sitting on my bed. He was looking right at me, with his intense gaze pining me to the spot. I couldn’t have moved if my life depended on it. He looked majorly pissed and that scared the shit out of me.

“H…hi…He…heero.” I said a little shaken. Finally, when I got the use of my legs back I moved. I didn’t know where I was going but I had to get my mind and eyes of that intense stair. I already had cloths on so I walked to my dresser and picked up my brush to start fixing my hair while leaning up against my dresser. It gave me something to fiddle with while my nerves were shot.

“I was looking all over for you.” Heero said in a voice that scared me even more. The sound of his voice I wouldn’t have expected coming from him and especially at that moment. He sounded calm and maybe even worried.

“W…why were you looking for me.” I chocked out still fooling with my hair and purposely not looking at him.

Heero got up and started coming closer to me. “I was worried about you…and I met a friend of yours that told me something…very… interesting.”

“What was that?” I asked backing toward the wall opposite the direction he was coming toward me. Each step he took toward me, I would back up even more. I was sure he was going to kill me. I didn’t know why, but I had a few ideas. Although I couldn’t figure out why he was teasing me by telling me he was worried.

“That you love me…Is that true?” Heero asked me. My back hit the wall right when he finished. I knew there was not place I could go. There I was with Heero one inch in front of me and he was going to kill me. So I decided to tell him the truth. I might as well say it before I die. “Yes, Heero, I do.”

“Is that why you have been trying to get my attention?” I just nodded my head at his question when words failed me, probably for the first time in my life. “Well” Heero said pausing and taking a step closer to where our bodies almost touched, all I could see were his eyes, and our breaths mixed, “it worked.”

The words were so quick and Heero moved so quick that all I could do was close my eyes and think that I was going to die. That was until I felt someone kissing me. I opened my eyes and couldn’t believe what I saw; Heero was kissing me. I was so surprised that it took me a couple of seconds before I started kissing back. I closed my eyes and hoped it wasn’t a dream. I put my arms around Heero and poured myself into the kiss. It was a great kiss; a kiss that set me on fire. But the kiss ended all to soon. I opened my eyes and I knew it wasn’t a dream. I was wrapped in Heero’s embrace. I only had one question, “Why?”

“Well…I love you too Duo…” Heero paused and gave me a kiss on the forehead while caressing my cheek. “I went to find you. I knew that I must have had something to do with you leaving. You were so hard for me to fight. I tried so hard not to love you, but I failed. Then I tired to keep it from you, but now I know I can’t.” With that he kissed me passionately again and together we learned new ways of exploring each other. We poured our soul into the beautiful act that was love making. We soared higher than we ever could have imagined. It was so wonderful and I knew I would never forget this night; a night when a Bartender brought Heero to his senses.

~ Somewhere in the night a tall, dark figure stood. With his black trench coat blowing in the breeze and a smile on his face. “I wish you luck in the future guys. May you pass on your love to the world and live to celebrate it.” ~
