Ranchi, Tien, and Kushami
Ranchi woke up one day, and realized that it was time to get on with her life. Her two best friends were gone, and there was no way to bring them back. She had to accept it and move on.
She sat up in her cheap hotel bed and looked around herself. The room wasn't horrible, but it wasn’t great either. Her bag was by the bed, stuffed full of her clothes and her “Sister's” things. There was a bag full of Zenii as well, which made her sigh in frustration.
“She’s been at it again.” Ranchi said in her soft voice. What was it this time, a bank? A store? Maybe a train… again? She shook her head, and got up, deciding that a shower was in order to get her motivated. When she stepped out, she got dressed in her usual, a short tank top, khaki shorts, and her boots. She brushed her dark hair and tied it back with a red scarf, then gathered up the Zenii into neat bundles. She packed her clothes more neatly and went to check out.
Downstairs, the manager looked at her oddly, and asked if she’d dyed her hair. She nodded, rather that try to explain her ”Sister”, who was blonde.
“You shouldn’t dye your hair in my hotel! Did it get all over the place?!” She smiled wanly as the man huffed about his beautiful bathrooms, and assured him that all was well in her room, and could she leave now? He charged her for the towel she must have ruined, and she was finally able to go. She went outside and wondered which car was hers. She never knew what was going on anymore, or even where she was. She only knew she had to go home. A thought popped into her mind, and she reached into her pocket; sure enough, there was a car capsule in her hand, so she popped it and set off.
“Well, she does like fast cars, at least. And she even filled it up for us.” She said to herself as she left town.

Two days later, she reached the edges of the lands she and the others had called home. It was late, and she didn’t want to face the empty caves they had lived in at night, so she settled down with a fire, and tried to gather her thoughts.
It had been right after Christmas. Bulma and Yamcha had shown up with the news that sweet little Goku had been killed by his own brother, or was it that awful Piccolo? Any way, they wanted her friends to go and train to fight off this band of invaders who were coming to kill them all. They had all left without a backward glance. Well that wasn’t true. HE had said goodbye, but she could see that she was not what he was worried about.
“Let Her take care of you. She won’t let anyone hurt you. And if something happens to us, go back to Master Roshi; he’ll let you live there forever if you need too. ” He had told her. “Promise you’ll be careful, Ranchi?” She had nodded, and he’d kissed her forehead, and then ran to Bulma’s aircar. The little one had waved and then they were gone… and she was alone again. She hadn’t wanted to admit it then, but now she knew that she was never going to be as important to him as the others were to him. They had faced life and death together. What was a girlfriend compared to that?
She sniffed, and tried not to cry. She hated it when her face was all red and blotchy from the tears Ranchi shed over him. She had watched them die, one by one; Yamcha, Chauzu, Piccolo. And Tenshinhan, the only one she’d ever…
“Stop it, Ranchi! He’s dead, and it doesn’t matter now! He can’t come back anymore.” She hissed at herself, and rubbed her nose. It wouldn’t do to sneeze now. Kushami didn’t know where they were going, yet. But Ranchi knew that Kushami would try to get as far away as she could from the pain going home would bring. Home had always meant pain to them.
She didn’t know how long they had been together, Kushami and herself. She didn’t think they had always been together, but who knew? She had been alone for so long, an orphan by her own choice, living on the run from herself. Kushami was her personal oni; she’d never get away from her. But Ranchi ran anyway, one step ahead of the trouble Kushami loved to cause. She didn’t know anything about Kushami really, but she could guess how that violent mind worked, and she hated her for it.
Well, she was going to go home, and clean up their things, and start over. Maybe, she could get Master Roshi and Krillin to help her find the Dragonballs and finally separate herself from Kushami once and for all. She never had the heart to do it before, but now… she had enough sorrow in her life, and maybe it was time for them both to be free…

The next morning, she woke to feel something different about the world. She felt it in her bones, and she felt different herself too. She couldn’t say what it was, but it was there. She checked her pocket for the pepper packets she carried for when she needed to have Kushami’s help. Yes they were still there. She jumped into the car and set off. She was almost there, but it had been so long, almost a year, and almost two years since she’d seen Tien and Chauzu. She wondered if there would be anything left to find in their cave dwellings. She had been surprised at the luxury inside the austere cliffs and desert surroundings that Tien and Chauzu called home in Mifan. Of course, Chauzu was the Emperor of all the lands of Mifan, but still, Tien seemed so simple and focused on his martial arts…
She pulled to a stop, and got out, looking around, and went over to the huge brass door; she noticed it was open. She stepped back and stared around wide eyed. There were no vehicles, no tracks. She quickly grabbed a pepper packet, and breaking it, sniffed it delicately. She sneezed once and instantly changed.
Where there was once a pretty brunette with wide dark eyes, there was now a blonde with slanted blue-green eyes. Kushami looked around and cursed graphically as she realized where she was, and then realized that the door to her old home was open. She pulled a small automatic gun, a Tech–9, out of thin air, and slowly pushed the door open. She stepped into the large room, looking around carefully. She didn’t see anyone, but she wanted to be sure. Then she heard a sound in the bedroom. She stepped into the middle of the room, and loudly slipped the safety, priming the chamber with a loud clack.
“Ok, ya scavenging scum, get yer butt out here, now! ” She hissed, and aimed for the doorway.
“Is that you, Kushami?” A familiar voice called. As her eyes widened, a figure came through the door. He was tall, and broadly muscular, his head shaved bald. A deep scar slashed his right pectoral, and he had three eyes, but she already knew this. For the first time in her life, Kushami thought she was going to faint.
“T–Tenshinhan?” She whispered, and heard the gun drop from her suddenly numb fingers. Tien smiled at her and nodded, shy before his girlfriend; he hadn’t seen her for almost two years. To his alarm, she began to swoon, falling forward towards him.
“Hey, Tien, is that Ranchi… hey, she okay?” Chauzu said as he walked into the room.
“It’s Kushami, Ranchi must have thought there was a burglar… she’s fine, why don’t you go and start cleaning your rooms?” Tien said as he swept the limp blonde into his arms. Chauzu nodded and left, as Tien went into the bedroom again. He’d just made up the bed with clean sheets, which he was grateful for as he laid her down. He sat by her, and felt guilty.
He’d hardly even thought about them, his girls. They hadn’t been here since he and Chauzu left, he was almost certain. He’d been so busy training, and falling into his bed exhausted at night, and then being dead and all, he’d never even wondered if they’d been all right. He blushed, ashamed of himself. He should have tried to communicate with them, used King Kai’s powers or something.
He stood and paced, all three eyes narrowed in self–reproach. “But why did she come back here? And today of all days?” He turned to look at Kushami’s face; even in her sleep, she looked angry, unlike Ranchi, but he loved them both equally, well almost. Ranchi was better company, except for when… He blushed again, and went back to pacing…

Kushami woke with a start, and sat up, looking around her wildly. Her eyes fell on Tien, who was sorting through his scant wardrobe, most of which was moth-eaten. She stared at him, feeling her love and hatred fight within her. Ranchi had cried for two years over him, but Kushami had known better.
Tien was beyond devoted to Chauzu, and he thought of almost nothing else. She’d seen the tiny emperor die as he fought those powerful invaders; Saiyans, wasn’t that what they were called? And she’d seen Tien die as well, his power exhausted as he tried to kill the same creature that Chauzu died fighting. She known it was going to happen anyway, and had been perversely glad Ranchi hadn’t actually seen it. She was useless enough already, and she had grown to hate waking up with puffy eyes; she could tell Ranchi was mourning this man deeply.
She also knew he hadn’t cared, or even thought of them.
“Well, I better get packed.” She said angrily, her voice a gruff sound in the quiet room. Tien jumped and turned to her.
“You’re awake.” He said. She swung out of the bed and snorted.
“Duh. Well, ya didn’t improve yer wits up there at the Tenka, did ya?” She snapped, and stormed over to her closet. She jerked the door open and grabbed her suitcase, readying it to pack. She tossed the clothes she liked into it violently, trying to deny the tears that had begun to demand freedom from her eyes. She sniffed mightily, and saw that her hands were shaking.
“Damn it… damn her for bringin’ us here!” She hissed. She reached for one of her dresses, and gasped as a hand went around her wrist. She whirled to look up at Tien. ”What do you want?” She snapped, eyes bright. Tien shook his head sadly, and brought his other hand up to her face, stroking her now wet cheek.
“’Shami, I wish I could say I’m sorry. I am. But they are just words…” He said quietly. Kushami raised her hand and punched his belly as hard as she could, and only succeeded in hurting her hand.
“Sorry. Yer sorry?! Ranchi has been cryin’ us both sick! For two years, Tenshinhan! And yer sorry! Tell her, she might forgive ya, but I won’t!” She said, her voice rising into a scream of despair. He could sense her lie, that she’d been just as hurt and alone as Ranchi, but her pride was too prickly by far to give in easily. He pulled her against him, and stroked her hair as he sighed.
“I couldn’t come back, Kushami. I died out there, and it was only luck that Vegeta mentioned the Namekian Dragonballs so we could be wished back. I mean, Goku is still missing after the battle on Namek, and so many creatures of all kinds died too. I have my responsibility to Chauzu too, and you both knew that.” He tried to explain. Kushami was resisting him, but she felt herself weaken. He was right too; they both were.
“Tien, it don’t matter. Yes ya died. Yes those things happened. But that don’t change us, does it? We don’t mean nothing to ya. So I’m gonna leave, and I’m not gonna to tell Ranchi that you were here. She’ll recover one day, she jus’ needs time. I jus’ need space. Space and patience. So let me go so I can pack!” Her voice rose from it’s controlled growl, getting louder and louder. Tien shook his head. She always did try to manage Ranchi this way, with secrets and lies left on slips of paper. He wasn’t going to allow it.
“I understand how mad you are, but you’ll stay until she comes out, and then if she wants to go, you two can go.” She snarled at him.
“That Miss Goodie–Goodie ’ll be so happy to see ya, she’ll just forget that you forgot us!” She was stopped by Tiens hand over her mouth. She bit him but he ignored it.
“Shhh. You stay. I’ll get some pepper… ” Kushami’s eyes widened, and she tried to shake her head. “Then you’ll behave?” He said, a teasing lilt to his voice. She humphed in her throat, but nodded. He let her go, and she snatched a new Tech–9 from behind her back.
“You forget it!” She yelled and fired. Tien didn’t appear move, but the bullets were shattering things all around the room. The clip ran out of bullets quickly, and she heard the last dry click of the hammer hitting air. She panted, smelling cordite, and frowned at him. He didn’t even have a scratch!
“Kushami, you can’t hurt me, not with that thing. Please, calm down!” She stared at him and then went pale. She had just tried to kill him! What if she’d succeeded? She felt new tears prick at her eyes.
”Tien, I… I…” She felt her breath hitch, and he was there, sweeping her into his arms again.
“Shhh, it’s ok, you were upset… don’t cry, Kushami, I’m not angry.” Tien said softly. He was so stiff, and so awkward usually, but he was different around her and Ranchi; it was part of his love for them. They made him feel normal, not such a freak. He was still a little insecure about his three eyes, and his unusual powers, but Ranchi and Kushami were so different themselves, that with Chauzu, the four of them felt unique, instead of weird. Tien was relaxed and happy with his friends near him; he didn’t want to lose his fiery Kushami, or his sweet Ranchi.
He kissed her forehead, and she tilted her face up to him, allowing him to kiss her lips. He obliged and walked to the bed as he felt her melt in his arms. He laid her on it, and knelt beside her, kissing her cheeks and mouth. Kushami sighed and reached for him. He took her hand and kissed the palm, as he slid out of his boots and moved onto the bed. Tien slid his arms under her, embracing her as he kissed her again, more forcefully. His tongue demanded entrance, and she allowed him inside, twining her tongue with his. His hand ran down her back slowly, causing her to shiver in delight as chills raced over her skin.
Then Tien began to trail kisses down her throat, as he pushed her tank top up her ribs. Kushami made a little noise in her throat, but didn’t protest as she was forced to raise her arms over her head so the top could come off. Tien chuckled as he saw that she wasn’t wearing a bra, and let his lips drift lower, kissing between her breasts. He was up on his knees over her, bent sharply at the waist, but didn’t seem to care. Instead, he then backed up and nibbled the undersides of her small pert breasts, making Kushami squirm and sigh.
“Please…” She mumbled, and was rewarded when he finally took one of her nipples into his mouth. Kushami’s back arched and she moaned, holding his head to her. Tien reached down and caressed her bare legs, teasing his fingers up her thighs, making her legs open for him. He gently lifted her and set her higher up on the bed, and let his weight rest on her body. Kushami didn’t seem to mind, she let him nestle between her legs and moaned again as he moved to her other breast, nipping her with his sharp teeth. Her body was melting into sensation, and she didn’t even care about his eagerness as he pulled on her shorts. She did blink when he finally ripped them off her slender hips; he wasn’t usually this passionate… “It’“It’s been too long, Kushami, too long…” Tien murmured to her when he felt her stiffen under him, shocked at his violent action. She relaxed and chuckled at him.
“No kiddin’, Tien… ” She whispered, and ran her nails down his back hard enough to draw blood. He hissed, but his face showed no pain, only pleasure. She smiled to see that she still had power over him, and then felt his hand move from her knee up her leg. He let his questing fingers tease her, moving aside to go to her hips, and over her belly, then back down to her flank, brushing against her downy curls but touching her so lightly that she shivered. Her hips tilted up, her legs spreading wider unconsciously, begging him for a more intimate contact.
Tien was working on his own pants, more desperate than he seemed to be freed of their confines. He worked them off finally, and only then let his hand touch Kushami’s wet hungry flesh. She gasped and bucked her hips up as he moved his fingers up and down quickly, and then pressed hard on the tiny core. She gave a half scream and jerked violently as she saw a flash of light. She was panting now, weakened by her need for him, for some kind of release. He pressed on her again, and then moved so his fingers could delve into her. Now Kushami clutched his arms, wide eyed but not seeing him at all, as her climax blinded her.
Tien clenched his teeth as he waited for her to calm again, and he bent to her once more, kissing her gently. Kushami’s eyes opened, and she smiled, face calm and serene at last. He stroked her cheek, and she sighed, pulling him closer.
“Kushami… are you okay?” Tien asked. She nodded and her smile was warm and welcoming.
“Great, Tien… But I think you need somethin’ don’t ya?” She said, voice a playful purr. He blushed a little, but she kissed him before he could get all embarrassed, and reached between them to slide her fingers around his greedy shaft, her touch further heightening his desire. All three eyes closed as he just let himself feel Kushami’s hand on his sensitive skin. Her touch was light as a feather, gentle and teasing, and she pushed him back so he was lying before her so she could watch him face.
Tien held her shoulders as Kushami bent and slowly dragged her hair across his chest as she kissed her way down his belly. Tien’s breathing quickened as her hand got tighter, mover faster on him; then he groaned as Kushami slowly took him into her mouth, moving over him quickly as she sought to bring him his release. His hands squeezed her shoulders painfully as they fought for control, Kushami bringing him to the edge and Tien holding back as best he could under her attentions.
He suddenly pulled her away, hauling her up his body. Kushami sprawled over him startled, as he grabbed her waist and then moved her over his hips. She gasped as she felt his length opening her, moving into her slowly. Her eyes closed as she moved to meet him, grinding her hips down into his body. She sat up and held his waist as she slowly rose up and then dropped down again. Together they moved, rushing to meet and slowly withdrawing, Kushami’s nails biting into his waist as Tien moaned softly as her internal grip on his shaft tightened.
He loved how beautiful she was, head arched back, blonde hair falling over her breasts, eyes closed in ecstatic concentration. His hands on her hips guided her to go faster, move more quickly. She parted her lips as she murmured his name, her body aching with the pleasure of their union. She pressed her hips down harder against him, wanting his full measure inside.
Suddenly her eyes snapped open and she stiffened above him. He rolled her over under him quickly and began to thrust into her quickly, unable to wait any more. Kushami’s legs trembled around his and she held his arms as if she were falling, tiny half screams escaping her throat as her orgasm went on, getting more powerful with Tiens motions within her. Finally Tien felt it hit him, an explosion in his mind as he went over the edge, thrusting deep into her and burying his face in her shoulder. Kushami held him close as she felt him tremble against her, and they sighed in deep contentment. He rolled off her and nestled her into his side.
“Welcome home, Kushami…” He said, smiling. Kushami grinned wickedly.
“Oh, but you aren’t done yet! There’s someone who wants to see you!” She flicked her nose and sneezed. Tien stared wide-eyed as Ranchi appeared. She looked around, saw Tien and burst into tears. He hugged her and sighed as she sobbed and stammered against his chest.
“Tien! I missed you and I… I’m naked!” He laughed his small quiet laugh at that; Ranchi grabbed the covers and then looked embarrassed. ”Did you and Kushami…?”
“Yes, silly. Now it’s your turn…” She smiled through her happy tears as he kissed her and they pulled the covers over their heads…
